a recoupling is happening and it's girls' choice and kiri is — over the moon. because he's thinking that this is it !! that you're going to choose him because things have been going great with yall (💀) and you'll finally be able to move forward, he's really excited to put all his effort into you now and — no, he's really not worried that a new guy just came in and told you he only had eyes for you 🙂 why would he be worried ?? 🙂

and you get up there and — you don't choose him. and he can't believe it.

every time that you could've coupled up in the past, someone has come along to steal either of you before the deal could be sealed. and now the opportunity was right there and he really, really was looking forward to FINALLY being with you 🥺 and having to stand there and hear your speech and watch you choose someone else is like alfhdkakajbfs 🥺 has him so ???? ofc a girl he's been talking to saves him so it's not like he goes home or anything but the hurt is SO CLEAR on his face 🥺

Yoooo I'm about to put you onto one of my probably favourite podcasts!!! It's called Dungeons and Daddies! (not a bdsm podcast)! Basically it's about 4 dads who travel from our world into the dnd world, and are thrown into a bunch of shenanigans where they have to find and rescue their sons from the BBEG.

Now that's the overarching plot. Thematically though it's about fatherhood, intergenerational trauma, and having to grow yourself as a person to be the parent your kid needs (and how realistically, unfortunately, we fail at that sometime.) It's also about ending the cycles of abuse and neglect and how if you don't learn to be different from how you were raised, you're going to end up passing your own problems onto your kids.

That's the first season at least. What you've seen me reblogging is the 2nd season, which is about the 4 OG dad's GRANDKIDS and how they're having to sorta deal and work with the consequences of season 1. Season 2 is very much holding up and I would say is just as good as the first season. Still carries the same thematics too, but from the perspective of the children trying to grow up, ya know?

All in all it's a very very good podcast and I truly can't recommend it enough! It's has dad jokes, a bdsm dungeon at one point (not graphic), and a very very good story that is both narratively and characterly satisfying. Anthony Burch (the DM) 100% knows how to set up a story and comit to it. The rolls and choices have actual consequences to them that come back to haunt the players, and each of the players brings something fun and unique to the table! All in all it's just such a good story, if you ever give a dnd podcast a chance let it be this one! It 100% won't let ya down!
