How they'd react to an ordinary reader/reader who doesn't know them
Tumblr media
(big thanks to anon for this request!! I tried my very best 💕 I hope this is what you were looking for ✨️ enjoy!)
John
John would be incredulous at first, wondering how on Earth you didn't realize who he is
it would take him a moment to recover from that blow to his ego
once he does, however, he realizes he's stumbled upon a golden opportunity to mess with you
he'd regale you with elaborate and nonsensical tales of his past - so outlandish, not even a child would believe a word he'd said
you'd be skeptical but play along, asking questions and feigning great curiosity about his (clearly made-up) backstory
John would come to admire your individuality and respect your rare ability to stay true to yourself
he'd enjoy challenging your thoughts and ideas, dropping by often to spark witty debates and intellectual discussions with you over a cuppa
Paul
Paul is surprisingly endeared to your ignorance of his fame, finding you charmingly aloof
he approaches you with curiosity and warmth, eager to learn more about your interests and passions
he finds he is able to relax a bit, no longer having to bear the weight of pressure fans' expectations place on him
he'd share with you stories from his own life, careful not to divulge anything too wild in his pursuit to find common ground
Paul quickly grows to appreciate your creativity and unique perspective
he often invites you to come down to the studio with him and be a test audience for new melodies/song ideas
sometimes he'll request songwriting critiques from you just so he can hear your voice as you speak your mind freely to him, gazing at you with a dreamy look in his eyes
George
upon realizing that you don't seem to recognize him, George breathes out a sigh of relief
to him, you're a breath of fresh air amidst the deafening crowds and bustling mobs of fans and press alike
he really resonates with your introspective nature and individuality, respecting your withdrawn lifestyle
over time, he begins to open up around you and abandon his shyness a bit
you're privy to a more talkative side of George, a rare sight and a far cry from his usual quiet and reserved demeanor
he takes great interest in your passions, asking questions to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of your mind
he listens to every song and reads every book to recommend to him, always one to broaden his horizons and look at things from a new perspective
Ringo
Ringo first approaches you with his trademark warmth and humor, radiating confidence and passion
eventually making the connection that you don't seem to recognize him, he feels himself growing shy
usually, his career is his go-to talking point
regardless, he does his best to entertain you by sharing anecdotes from his colorful life
though you suspect some exaggeration, you find yourself charmed by the man's embellished stories and are happy to lend an ear
Ringo would come to enjoy your refreshing take on life and want to accompany you everywhere, no matter the occasion
the two of you share many new experiences and adventures together, discovering more about yourselves and one another

Top 15 Food Micro Influencers in 2024
One of the oldest and most popular influencer niches on social media is food and cooking. These food micro influencers are generating awareness for the latest cuisine trends, encouraging fans to try different types of food, and recommending quality brands.
The Evolution of Foodie Influencers
When Instagram was brand new, one of the most popular posts was a snapped picture of food. It became a trend that stuck and is now a foodie tradition.
At first, people simply wanted to capture the beauty of a well-presented meal from their favorite restaurant or show off their dining experience to friends and family. Today, foodie creators hone their craft to not just snap a shot of their entree but to also tell a story behind their food photos and videos. Similarly, cooking creators use various online platforms to show fans special flavors and techniques. Food influencers encompass both restaurateurs and cooks with varying skill levels but each with their own authentic perspective.
What is the Connection Between Food Influencers and the Food Industry?
Most food creators specialize in content in one of three areas:
Cooks
Foodies
Travelers
All three have a particular effect on the greater food and beverage industry. From local restaurants to cookware and hospitality, brands are leveraging food creators to promote their products and services to their ideal target audience.
Cooking Creators
Cooking creators include professional chefs and hobbyists alike. These creators might make videos of their process, snap images, or post full recipes for followers on social media or on their personal blog. As influencers, they might partner with cookware, food (ingredients), or appliance brands to help followers make more informed purchases. These influencers might also promote their own products, including seasonings or published cookbooks.
Foodie Creators
Foodie creators love to eat out and try different types of food. Many foodies overlap into the travel industry to experience cuisine from other cultures. These influencers often review restaurants and grab flattering images of the food they eat. When it comes to promoting brands, they typically shout out a restaurant that exceeds their expectations and encourage fans to visit the location for themselves.
Travel Influencers
Travel influencers are also perfect fits as foodie influencers, because local dining is one of the most common aspects of a great trip. Their impact extends across different types of hospitality brands, including:
Restaurants
Hotels
Wineries
Bars
Amusement parks
Festivals
Cruises
Best Performing Content of Foodie Creators
Food social media is a highly visual category. As such, platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok are full of some of the finest foodie and cook creators online today.
Images
A beautiful, detailed image of food resonates well with most audiences. Creators may choose to publish their posts in studio or IRL (in real life) quality. The best food image posts include vibrant colors and relatable post captions.
Recipes
Creators use social media and personal blogs to post their favorite recipes. When sharing a recipe, readers love to hear compelling stories behind what inspired the recipe. Most bloggers or recipe influencers also post images or videos to accompany their written content.
Videos
Videos allow followers to see personality, motion, and story in a more engaging format. Food creators exist within short-form video platforms (like Instagram and TikTok) and long-form video platforms (like YouTube and Twitch).

I am becoming more and more interested in the writings of Bradley Kaye. Dr. Kaye in his book, "The Boundless Open Sea; Essays at the Intersection of Zen and Critical Theory" posits one mind blowing perception after another.
At least to me.
The best way for me to understand/activate the power within Kaye's philosophy is to break it down and apply it to what I have observed in the "real" world to test its validity
Here's an example.
First a sample of Dr. Kaye's position.
Then an application of the position to a subject of which I ma familiar.
Ready, Set Go
"Now is always now, yet now is distinctly different from then even though there would be no now without an emergence from the only then that occurred. Recollection of the past is always an anticipation of the future and visa versa. There can be no now without a particular then having occurred and there can be no future without our anticipation of it having already shaped from the beginning. We must have a recollection to provide the perspective on which to base the future."
Let's apply Dr. Kaye's words to the Beatles: their emergence, their creative process, their break up and the murder of John Lennon.
EMERGENCE
The Beatles, as a band, emerged in the 1960s and became one of the most influential musical acts of all time. Their impact on music and culture is undeniable, and their legacy continues to shape the present and future of popular music.
"Now is always now" can be interpreted in the context of the Beatles as their music continues to be relevant and appreciated by audiences around the world. Their songs still resonate with listeners, and their influence can be felt in contemporary music.
"Yet now is distinctly different from then even though there would be no now without an emergence from the only then that occurred." This part acknowledges the Beatles' historical context. The cultural and musical landscape of the 1960s was vastly different from today, but the Beatles' emergence during that time laid the foundation for the current state of music.
"Recollection of the past is always anticipation of the future and vice versa." The Beatles' extensive catalog of music allows listeners to reminisce about the past while also looking forward to the future of music. Their innovations and experimentation in the studio continue to inspire musicians today, shaping the future of the industry.
"There can be no now without a particular then having occurred, and there can be no future without our anticipation of their having already shaped from the beginning." The Beatles' journey from Liverpool to international stardom is a testament to this statement. Their past achievements laid the groundwork for the current state of music, and their influence will continue to shape the future of the industry.
"We must have recollection to provide the perspective on which to base the future." Reflecting on the Beatles' legacy allows us to appreciate their impact on music and culture while also providing inspiration for future generations of musicians. Their story serves as a reminder of the power of creativity and innovation in shaping the world around us.
CREATIVE PROCESS
"Now is always now, yet now is distinctly different from then": This part acknowledges that creativity is always rooted in the present moment, but it's also influenced by the past. The Beatles were constantly evolving as musicians, and each album they released represented a new phase in their creative journey. While their early work had a more straightforward rock 'n' roll sound, their later albums delved into more experimental and psychedelic territory, reflecting the changing cultural landscape of the 1960s. "Recollection of the past is always anticipation of the future": The Beatles were deeply influenced by the music of previous generations, including rock 'n' roll, rhythm and blues, and Motown. They often paid homage to their musical predecessors while also pushing the boundaries of what was possible in popular music. Their ability to blend diverse musical influences with their own unique style created something entirely new and groundbreaking, setting the stage for future generations of musicians to explore and innovate. "There can be no now without a particular then having occurred": The Beatles' creative process was shaped by their experiences and influences, both individually and as a group. From their humble beginnings playing in clubs in Liverpool to their meteoric rise to fame and eventual breakup, every aspect of their journey contributed to their musical output. Without their early struggles and successes, the Beatles wouldn't have become the iconic band we know today. "We must have recollection to provide the perspective on which to base the future": The Beatles were not afraid to take risks and try new things in their music. Their willingness to experiment with different genres, instruments, and production techniques set them apart from their peers and allowed them to create some of the most innovative and enduring music of the 20th century. By drawing on their past experiences and constantly pushing the boundaries of what was possible in popular music, the Beatles paved the way for future generations of musicians to explore new creative avenues. Dr. Kaye highlights the cyclical nature of creativity and the importance of drawing on the past to inform the future. The Beatles' creative process embodies this idea, as they constantly looked to their own experiences and influences while also pushing the boundaries of what was possible in popular music.
BREAKUP
"Now is always now, yet now is distinctly different from then": The breakup of the Beatles marked the end of an era in music history. While their time together as a band was characterized by creativity, collaboration, and success, the post-breakup period represented a significant shift in their individual and collective trajectories. The dissolution of the Beatles marked a distinct moment in their history, signaling the end of their time as a cohesive unit. "Recollection of the past is always anticipation of the future": Following the breakup, each member of the Beatles embarked on their solo careers, exploring new musical directions and forging their own paths in the industry. While they each carried with them the experiences and influences from their time in the band, they also looked ahead to the future, eager to carve out their own identities as solo artists. "There can be no now without a particular then having occurred": The breakup of the Beatles was the culmination of various tensions and conflicts that had been brewing within the band for some time. Issues such as creative differences, personal differences, and diverging priorities ultimately led to their decision to part ways. Without the history of the Beatles' success and the challenges they faced as a group, the breakup may not have unfolded in the same way. "We must have recollection to provide the perspective on which to base the future": The breakup of the Beatles forced each member to reflect on their shared history and consider their future paths. While the end of the band marked a significant loss for fans and the music industry as a whole, it also provided an opportunity for growth and reinvention for each member individually. Reflecting on their time in the Beatles allowed them to gain perspective on their respective careers and make decisions about their futures.
MURDER
"Now is always now, yet now is distinctly different from then": The moment of John Lennon's murder on December 8, 1980, marked a profound and tragic event in history. It forever changed the course of not only his life but also the lives of his loved ones, fans, and the music world at large. The world was suddenly thrust into a state of shock and mourning, and the loss of Lennon created a distinct before-and-after moment in time. "Recollection of the past is always anticipation of the future": Following Lennon's death, people around the world reflected on his life, music, and activism. His past contributions to music and culture were remembered and celebrated, and there was anticipation of how his legacy would continue to influence future generations. Tribute concerts, documentaries, and books commemorated his impact, ensuring that his memory would endure beyond his untimely death. "There can be no now without a particular then having occurred": Lennon's murder was a tragic consequence of a specific moment in time, driven by the actions of his assailant, Mark David Chapman. Without the events leading up to that fateful night outside the Dakota apartment building in New York City, Lennon's life would have continued along a different trajectory. The culmination of his fame, activism, and personal struggles intersected in a way that led to his untimely death. "We must have recollection to provide the perspective on which to base the future": In the aftermath of Lennon's murder, his legacy became a focal point for reflection and inspiration. People looked back on his music, his activism for peace and social justice, and his enduring influence on popular culture. This recollection provided the perspective from which to consider how Lennon's message of love and peace could continue to shape the future, even in the face of tragedy. While the murder of John Lennon represented a tragic and senseless loss, applying the quote to this event underscores the enduring impact of his life and legacy, as well as the importance of remembering and reflecting on his contributions to music, peace, and humanity.
According to my checklist and analysis, Dr. Kaye's position has validity in the history of the Beatles.

What are some ways to determine if your website has enough content?
Determining if your website has enough content depends on various factors, including your website's goals, target audience, industry, and competitors. Here are some ways to assess if your website has sufficient content:
Content Inventory: Conduct a content inventory to catalog all the pages and pieces of content on your website. Review each page to assess its quality, relevance, and completeness. Identify any gaps or areas where additional content may be needed.
Website Goals and Objectives: Consider your website's goals and objectives. Does your current content adequately support these goals? For example, if your goal is to drive organic traffic, you may need more content optimized for relevant keywords. If your goal is to generate leads, you may need more content focused on educating and converting visitors.
User Needs and Intent: Understand the needs and intent of your target audience. What information are they looking for when they visit your website? Conduct user research, surveys, or usability testing to gather insights into user preferences and behaviors. Use this information to tailor your content to meet the needs of your audience effectively.
Competitor Analysis: Analyze your competitors' websites to see how much content they have and what types of content they are producing. Are there any content gaps or opportunities that your competitors are capitalizing on? Use this information to identify areas where you can improve or differentiate your content.
Content Quality and Depth: Assess the quality and depth of your existing content. Is it comprehensive, well-researched, and valuable to your audience? Aim for content that provides in-depth coverage of topics, answers common questions, and addresses pain points or challenges faced by your target audience.
Content Variety and Formats: Consider the variety and formats of content available on your website. Do you have a mix of text-based content, visual content, videos, infographics, and interactive elements? Adding a variety of content formats can enhance user engagement and appeal to different learning styles and preferences.
SEO Considerations: Evaluate your website's content from an SEO perspective. Are you targeting relevant keywords and topics that align with your SEO strategy? Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for new content and ensure that your existing content is optimized for search engines.
User Engagement Metrics: Monitor user engagement metrics such as time on page, bounce rate, and page views to gauge the effectiveness of your content. Are visitors spending enough time on your website? Are they navigating through multiple pages and engaging with your content? Use these metrics to identify areas where content may be lacking or underperforming.
By considering these factors and evaluating your website's content comprehensively, you can determine if your website has enough content to meet your goals and effectively serve your target audience. Keep in mind that content needs may evolve over time, so regularly review and update your content strategy to ensure that your website remains relevant and valuable to users.DO Studio : Best Marketing Agency In CalicutDo Studio is the Best Marketing agency in Calicut. Is there a symbol, quote, or image that resonates deeply with you? Perhaps it's a spiritual icon, a favorite quote, or a representation of your roots. Your first tattoo should be an extension of your identity.
2. Explore Temporary Tattoos
If you're uncertain about your design, consider trying out a temporary tattoo first. Temporary tattoos allow you to test-drive different designs and placements before making a permanent commitment. This is especially valuable if you're new to tattoos and want to get a feel for what suits you best.
3. Research Tattoo Styles

6. Embrace Simplicity
While intricate designs can be stunning, simplicity often translates well in smaller, first-time tattoos. Clean lines and fewer details can result in a timeless and elegant design. Remember, you can always add more complexity to future tattoos if you choose.

W05 Class Activity | Lecture Reflection
Tumblr media
What is material thinking?
Material thinking is the idea of 'joining the hand, eye and mind' during ones thought and ideating process. It rejects the concept that theology and conceptual thinking is the strongest mode and challanges those to more heavily involve the physical tools, materials, production and so on.
Justification
Informing the works
Grounded way of thinking
Material have their own relationships, purposes, interactions, personality etc. Therefore, it is important to think using these tools over just thoughts.
Choose on of the Creatives from the lecture and describe their material thinking?
the lecturer today spoke on her methodology in using urban landscapes and traditional or cultural materials to inform her designs. This looks like using the grit of AKL CBD as texture on her works. Similarly, she used the mats and cultural fabrics as a pattern overlay and base for her colour tones. All of these elements from her research and personal background and experiences collate together to produce a very reflective piece of her identity and perspective.
How can material thinking be seen through your own work?
Material thinking can be seen throughout my work most in the beginning stages of my ideation process as I have learned during my studies to ensure my thinking and research is as broad as it can been when starting a new project. An example of this is the work I am completing in my studio class as I have been looking into the motion and connectivity of water and the forms in which it creates. To test this concept I have including both physical experiments and pre-existing written theology as a base. This looks like using water to create shapes using a 5x5 grid of water droplets and photographing the results to digitise later. This way of experimination and using the physical tool I have available around me enables a vast bank of knowledge and resources to use in my creative thinking and later projects.
How would you reference the reading from today?

Ravenlok
Developed & Published by Cococucumber
Release Date 2023
Tested on Xbox Series X
MSRP 24,99 USD
youtube
Have you ever been lured into a game by the spectacular visuals which made you believe that mere graphical representation can be put forward fore overall gameplay? Well.. I have some bad news for you.
Ravenlok looks exceptionally sophisticated when you watch the trailer and just browse in-game screenshots. It has crisp graphics, blending pixel-art with more realistic character designs, which felt like a unique mix for me, especially coming from an indie studio.
Tumblr media
As you can sense, there is a big “but” that I need to stress after this introduction, upsettingly. I am upset, and a bit let down first and foremost. Let’s jump into the intro scene of the game and let me break down what Ravenlok offers.
We are playing as a teenager whose family recently moved to a different town and this family is still trying to organize the new house and spending time with unpacking. The father sends us to feth something from the barn that is near to the house, and we come across a smudged mirror, we clean the mirror and all of a sudden we are sucked into a new realm. A rabbit, equipped with a sword in militaristic uniform, greets us and claims we are the one to defeat the evil queen, we are so-called Ravenlok. This intro made me think of Alice in Wonderland, especially when we are welcomed by a rabbit, we step into a different reality and we are to defeat a malevolent queen!
Tumblr media
The opening gave me the impression that a superb journey is upon us. Alas, how wrong I was!
NPCs take a big chunk of the game, in each location an NPC will be waiting for you to give you a quest. Sometimes you come across multiple NPCs in a single location, such as a magical forest I was in in early-game, I bumped into three Stags and each one gave me a quest, asking me to eliminate a specific type of enemy. When you accept a new quest, your pinned quest is replaced with the new one, which makes you lose track of pinned one. You have to manually go to menu, then quests, then pin the previous quest.
Tumblr media
Below, I am sharing a clip showing you how the game lists the active quests with zero categorisation or prioritisation. The list of quests look really empty, only including text and nothing else to navigate and guide you to your destination.
youtube
Anot point that I find non-player friendly is that quests do not have any icons, for example they only state what enemies we are to kill or what item we are to collect, a small icon or a visual would be great help.
The fact that the game doesn’t have any map hampers overall orientation for the player, because various NPCs throw you missions that require specific tasks (killing an enemy, talking to a particular NPC then returning, collecting an item etc). All these issues overwhelm the player at a point, for instance I was tasked with at least a dozen missions until I lost all my focus on the story and progression. My suggestion would be to categorise missions into “main” and “side” ones, as can be found in many RPGs. Ravenlok kicks off with a sense that the game will keep the pace at an optimum level, then I found myself lost with sheer amount of missions with zero connection and direction to what I’ve done up to that point.
Tumblr media
When you are interacting with an NPC, it is not optional to accept the quest, you are obliged to take it up. This is the main thing I am trying to underline, have the devs played the game from start to finish from the player’s perspective or did they scatter countless NPCs around and shove quests into them? Sad to say this, Ravenlok miserably fails at being an engaging fluid experience, a game that can be mentioned as an instance how quests shouldn’t be implemented and introduced to the player.

How to Start a Clay Sculpting?
The clay sculpture is a fantastic technique to spark your imagination. It can be challenging to know where to start if you're new to the medium and want to learn how to produce sculptures at home. The following information on clay sculptures for beginners will help you get started, from choosing the correct clay to enhancing skills.
What Clay You Should Choose?
You must choose the right clay before you begin your clay sculpture. The handling and finish of the various types of clay used for sculpture vary:
Oil-based modeling clay is a non-toxic, hard, and durable material that can be used to create anything from small figurines to large sculptures. It has many advantages for children, including being non-toxic and durable. However, it does not dry out like other modeling clay and can be difficult to shape.
Polymer-based modeling clay that is equally soft can be heated to set a composition. However, it is susceptible to cracking.
Water-based clay has many advantages and disadvantages. One of the biggest advantages is that it is environmentally friendly. It does not release any harmful chemicals into the environment when it is used to make products. Another advantage of water-based clay is that it is biodegradable, which means that if you make a mistake while sculpting and have to break the sculpture, you can just throw it in the ground and let nature take care of it. Some disadvantages are that water-based clay cannot be fired in a kiln or oven like traditional clay, so you have to use another material for this process.
For beginners learning to sculpt at home, the water-based clay is ideal out of the three options listed. Although it is frequently formed on a potter's wheel, it is by far the simplest material to work with when employing hand-building techniques to produce shapes and forms.
Tumblr media
How to Make Your Clay Sculpting?
Now that you've figured out your water-based clay, it's time to get creative. You can learn how to produce clay sculptures using these five practical hints, from the very first idea to how to get better.
Get An Outline
The sculptor should always have a mental image of the piece before starting to work in clay. This is because it is easier to judge the proportions and shape of the sculpture when it has not been finalized.
When sketching, it is important to draw from different angles and perspectives so that the final sculpture will look natural.
Test the Wetness of Your Clay
Before you start sculpting clay, however, you’ll need to check if it’s wet enough as dried clay is difficult to work with.
The best way to make sure that the clay is wet enough is by pressing your finger into it. If your finger leaves an imprint on the surface of the clay, then it’s not wet enough and needs more water.
Dried clay is difficult to work with, so if you want a successful result, make sure your clay is moist.
Tumblr media
Avoid clay figures
How to create clay sculptures is a popular query from novices. You may have seen these made by more skilled sculptors with expanded legs. Most likely, these painters supported the weight of the clay with armatures, which are long, metal skeleton constructions.
Although heavier materials like brass rods, aluminum wire, and other materials can be utilized for this, it is frequently simpler to practice clay sculpting at home with smaller shapes. Once you've mastered this, you should think about expanding your skill set by learning how to use armatures.
Looking for professional help
While some artistic techniques can be picked up via practice and observation, more complex clay sculpture techniques can be challenging and require professional supervision. In this article, we have 10 quick tricks that you can use to make the most of your mirrors. From creating a Wall Mirror to adding storage, these tips will help you use your mirrors to their full potential. So start beautifying your home with these easy tricks!
Quick Tricks To Make Use Of The Mirrors
Here are 10 quick tricks to make the most of the mirrors in your home:
Use them to check your appearance. Look at yourself from all angles and learn what you need to improve. This can help prevent visual fixations that lead to negative self-image issues later on down the line.
Take a look at yourself in unfamiliar settings, such as when someone else is filming you or taking photos for a fashion shoot. This will help you get an understanding of how you look from different perspectives and uncover any problems that may be hidden by default clothing sizes or features!
Check if anything is hanging off your face or body that needs adjustment – this could include hair, jewelry, accessories, etcetera – before going out socializing so that everything flows smoothly during events without any mishaps happening unexpectedly!
Mirror magic: use mirrors strategically throughout your dwelling for various purposes like adding sparkle and light; doubling up as decorative pieces; hiding cables behind furniture (to save space); making uniform surfaces more interesting looking the possibilities are endless! So start using mirrors creatively today and see just how much better life gets once they invade every corner of your home!
Make sure that all of your mirrors are properly aligned before using them; alignment will help smooth out any jagged edges or distortions from the LED mirror itself and give you a more pleasing look in person – no one wants to see imperfections!
Use mirrors for DIY makeup tutorials or as makeshift studios for taking a quick screen capture, vlogging, creating art projects …the list goes on! So don't be shy about testing out new ideas in front of a mirror – it's a great way to get creative and have some fun at the same time!
Hang up your favorite framed photos or prints on the wall adjacent to your mirror so that you can see yourself in them as you start applying makeup and styling your hair – this will help keep you motivated during your everyday beauty routine!
Install a chandelier or other light source above your mirror for added illumination, if desired – this can come in handy when darker areas of skin are needed to be highlighted more prominently, for instance, or when using high-contrast cosmetics.
Consider adding special features like tiltable mirrors so that they can be used from multiple angles and at different heights; these could be especially useful for people who have difficulty getting up from a seated position to apply makeup or hair products.
And of course, don't forget about the big mirror for Bathroom Accessories – it's perfect for brushing your teeth and checking yourself out before heading into the world!
Conclusion
Now that you have read about the 10 quick tricks to make use of mirrors in your home, aren’t you eager to try them out? Besides making your homes seem bigger and more spacious, these tips will also help you save time. For example, while getting dressed or applying makeup, it is much more convenient to turn around and check out yourself in a mirror with just one click.

Daz studio depth of field
Tumblr media
framing the eye of a character gives you an entirely different result than framing the whole character. The F/Stop value it sets up for you depends on the size of the object you are framing. The framing we did (3) is not mandatory at all, but it`s a great way to set up the base values for depth of field. If you can`t find the planes, set F/Stop to zero and slowly increase the value. Just use the F/Stop slider and you`ll see them moving. There are also two “planes” representing the F/Stop value, the sharp area of your render. It`s probably hidden inside your focus-object right now, but if you use the focal distance slider you`ll see it. There is a small colored crosshair, which represents the focus/focal distance. You`ll see the selected camera gives you good visual clues about depth of field. Switch back to the perspective view, try to find a good overview spot, which shows you both the object you foucus on and the camera, and have the camera selected. Now those values are not likely to tell you much, so we want to see a visual representation of what`s going on. The smaller the value the smaller the sharp area (=more blur). “F/Stop” defines the size of the sharp area. This is the value we have already set by using the frame function. “Focal Distance” defines the focus, the center of the not-blurred area. If you want you can do a test render now, you should already see the blur effect, chances are it already looks decent as well.īelow the Depth of Field button you have the two other relevant settings. If you don`t have the Camera tab active, you can also find them in the Parameters tab, under “Camera”. With your camera selected, go to the camera settings. You can keep moving the camera, DS will try to keep that focus. This tells DS which part you want to be in focus. Now “frame” that part by using the frame icon in the navigation section. You can select it right in the scene, or in the object list, it doesn`t matter. Select the part you want to be in focus, let`s say the head of your character. This is the cool part, a nice little DS feature. To create one, go to the “Create” menu, and select “new camera”, or simply click the new cam icon.Ĭhange to the new camera by choosing it from the menu in the navigation section.ģ) Frame the part of the scene you want to be in focus. You can`t use depth of field with the perspective view (the Daz Studio start up cam), so you need a new camera. I for one think of it as a tool to highlight parts of a scene, in example to draw the focus towards a character. Probably the hardest part is to decide when and how much to use it. You`ll see it`s actually incredibly easy to set up. Here`s a quick step-by-step tutorial for using depth of field on Daz Studio.
