You giggled to yourself, quietly of course, as you snuck through the darkened UA dorms. Excitement filled your veins as you thought about your actions.

"He's gonna love this..." you let your mind wander, as you clutched the handmade treats closer to your chest.

The truth is, you'd had a little something of a crush on a certain blonde for awhile now. He constantly crossed your mind at the most inopportune times.

That's what led you to sneaking around, just to visit his dorm, at 3am.

You'd known he was up, especially as your phone buzzed in your pajamas' pocket. No doubt a message from him. You confirmed this, as you gently removed your phone from it's place in your pocket.

As you read the last message, you felt a twang of guilt from leaving him on delivered for so long. In reality, it'd only been about 15 minutes from his first message.

You chuckled lightly, at his clinginess. He would never admit it, but you knew deep down he cared about you to some extent.

Slowly, but surely, you eventually found your place in front of his dorm room. You rapped your fist on the door lightly, careful not to wake his neighbors.

You could hear a muffled groan from the other side, and even the clatter of objects as his footfalls neared the door. Your anxiety spiked for a split second. Had this been a bad time?

As soon as the thought crossed your mind, a grumpy looking Bakugou met your gaze. His crimson eyes softened at the sight of you, a slow blush rising to his cheeks.

You couldn't help but admire his build. His muscle glistened with sweat, the small lights littering the dorms basking him with a beautiful grace.

His bicep flexed as he held the door open, the divots catching your attention, as you followed his arm up to his face with your gaze.

"What the hell are you doing out here, dumbass?" the broad shouldered man grumbled, all the while looking mildly pleased to see you.

Your smile brightened, as you held out your goodies, a peace offering.

He scanned the box of treats, before inviting you inside, taking them in his grasp. You excitedly followed behind him, the scent of his room hitting you like a truck.

Due to his quirk, he produces a huge amount of sweat. While this is good for combat, it's rather embarrassing for his ego. For you, however, you just recognized the smell as him.

You scanned his room appreciatively, looking over the decor.

"Bakugou! I didn't know you were a collector!" you gasped, excitedly as you looked over some of his All Might merch. You knew he was a fan, but a nerd? Wow.

Before he could think much about it, munching on his new snacks, he found himself mumbling, "'S Katsuki..."

A bright blush quickly rose to his cheeks, heating him as he realized the weight of his words.

Sure, you two were close, known each other even before UA. But this was a new level of closeness.

Your grin widened at the new bond, "Right, Katsuki," you said, turning around. At the sight of him, blushing furiously, head in his hands, you couldn't help but blush yourself.

As if sensing your amusement, his flustered state turned to one of mild anger. You knew it wasn't directed at you. You couldn't help but laugh as he spat his words.

"This never happened, do you understand?! If I find out you mentioned this to anyone, I’ll…” he trailed off, thinking.

"You'll what, Katsuki?" you teased, almost jumping in place with excitement.

You were met with a growl in return, as he fought not to blow little explosions in your face. He floundered for a response, before settling on one that would fluster you just as much.

"You'll have to kiss me," he smirked, watching your face light up a cherry red.

"Um.. but to do that.. I'd have to actually tell someone... and then.. that must mean, um do you NOT want to kiss me than?" you mumbled, more to yourself thn anything as you stuttered out your response.

He grumbled at your stupidity. Of course, you'd take it literally and not as an invitation.

Without a second thought he was across the room, quickly covering the space between you. With each step he took forward, you took one back. It wasn't long before he had you pressed up against his desk.

His hands found themselves on both sides of your body, trapping you. "I see the way you look at me, always so observant. It's like you like me or something..." he whispered into your ear, sweeping your hair away.

"W-what? That's crazy!! I-I observe everyone! Equally!" he laughed, as you stumbled over your words.

He pressed a small kiss to your earlobe, so softly, you barely registered it. Your face was heated, so warm he could feel it radiating off of you.

To say you were embarrassed was an understatement.

His right hand found your chin, clasping it between his index and his thumb. You found yourself leaning into his grasp, eyes falling shut as you relaxed.

"Your face is a dead giveaway," Bakugou mumbled, with the confidence of a thousand men.

Before you could respond, or even open your eyes, you felt a hot mouth on yours, pressing you further into the desk.

His left hand found your waist, as your hands found his hair, tugging at small strands.

He nibbled your lower lip, wanting to be let in. You obliged, and found his tongue meeting yours.

The hand nestled in his hair soon found his back, as you traced every muscle. You could feel him smirking against your mouth, but all you could think about was how amazing he was at kissing you.

A twinge of jealousy filled you, as you thought about who he had practiced with. This just made you kiss him harder, a wave of possession washing over you.

Your mouths mended together as if they were made for each other. Your tongues, perfectly in sync.

His hand brought your waist closer to his navel, your chests pressed together. A moan was pulled from your throat.

As you were learning each other's bodies, you were broken apart by a knock at the door, followed by a disgruntled voice, "Break it up.. Y/N, come on out."

Your face flushed in embarrassment. "Yes, sir..."

“Cant belive you assholes burned the last two batches” he said as he sat to your left

You happily took the bowl into your lap and onto your,now crossed legs.

The couch had been decked out in different fluffy blankets and poofy pillows

For what? you might ask(yh its in the title..)

Well it was your annual besties halloween movie marathon of courseeeee

You guys did it every year!

Just you,kiri and katsuki on the commonroom couch with a big fat bowl of popcorn in dark,watchin scary movies

This year youd decided to change it up just a liiitle bit

Instead of goin for the regular halloween-y horror films you settled for the final destination movies

Guaranteed to make you scared and also wary for daysss

So once you were all situated and comfortably snuggled in,you pressed the play button

And the film began

Like ik we all know and love out little kachchan as this brave courageous hot headed best boi but even these movies get to him :’)

Like itll be a particularly gruesome death that yall can see it comin and he’ll slowly grip your hand under the blankets

Neither of you acknowledge it,but you feel happy and proud knowing that katsuki feels safe enough to let down his walls around you.and we all know how high his walls and defences can be,(theyd give even eugene fitzherbert a run for his tiara!)

And when you stop for a break you guys completely lose it and both chastise and mourn the characters who passed

The one where the guy gets his organs sucked out in the pool really had kiri TRAUMATISEDDD

Bakugou was really shook by the one where the train got derailed and killed them

And together they made sure you danced your fears away!

You went on till past 2 am and finally when you were tired enough you plopped back onto the couch and just chilled

You were the first to fall asleep that night,so the boys decided ‘you know what? Fuck it! And just stayed there with you!

You guys woke up at about 8 am the next day and had breakfast with the rest of your class all while still discussing the previous night’s movies!!

It is finally summer so i have the time to pump out a couple AUs out in the open cause they have been taking up too much free real estate in my brain (●'◡'●)

Ok so BKDK Nerd AU right:

Izuku and Katsuki are best buds as kids who live their life to the fullest until tragedy strikes. Izuku’s father gonna divorce his mom and leave his ass but as a parting gift he gives Izuku an All Might plush.

From there on, every traumatic experience Izuku has, Izuku will treat himself to buying a new hero plush and thats his coping mechanism. Basically at the tender age of 5, Izuku has developed the habit of retail therapy.

He finds out he's quirkless, ‘dont worry he has an all might doll to remind him to be strong in tough times.’ Kacchan starts bullying him, ‘ok let me buy that mirko doll to remind me that you always gotta keep going and stay determined.' His mom dies, ‘oh look a ms.joke plush to remind me to always keep smiling no matter what ( totally not b/c the green hair reminds him of his mom.’ Izuku gets sent to an orphanage, ‘ahh ill get a present mic figure. Maybe his confience can rub off on me and I’ll befriend the other orphans…’

At the orphanage he meets his roomie… dun dun dun Shinsou woo and at first they kinda ignore each other until Izuku wakes up at 2 am and feeling scared of this new environment and wants to sneak out to buy a new plush and sees his roomie also awake crouched over a laptop with over 300+ items on his amazon wishlist (hes even more aghast when he sees all of those items are cat related.) Nevertheless, together they enable eachother's bad shopping habits and become the resident disaster duo. Also Izuku decides not to go to the UA and instead decides to follow in his moms footsteps and become a nurse, while Shinsou learns of UAs difficult entrance exam and when inquiring about Izuku's ms joke plush, he decides to attend Ketsubutsu Academy where she works and try to learn to be an underground hero like her (I like to think shes also underground cause shes close to aizawa)

Meanwhile, Katsuki was never really one for plushes or dolls thinking thats soft shit but he always still kept the matching Endeavor keychain he still has when Izuku's father also got them when they were kids so he doesnt feel left out. Anywho he goes to UA, feeling like something is missing but adamantly refusing to admit he misses  certain green bean. He goes on grumpy and frustrated and eventually meet Shoto who sees the Endeavor keychain and gets angry at it to the point where he burns it and Katsuki is angry cause 'hey thats the last reminder of my connection to my childhood best friend' and Shoto gets angry cause 'what the hell he just said he wasnt gonna use his fire ever and he just broke his promise' They become ultimate rivals ™ which eventually turns into friends eventually in their UA years and they all work out their trauma together

Speaking of UA years, in this au I imagine there are a lot of differences but ill probably draw snippets of it later like for one All Might saves the students at the USJ but hurts himself and ends up in the hospital and surprise surprise Izukus there volunteering as a nurse (to get experience yk) and he ends up caring for Yagi-san and blabbers about heroes this and All Might that, unaware of who exactly he is talking to. I also like to imagine that Kota instead of being sent to live with his aunt, they think heroics are too dangerous and send him away to the orphanage for 'his own safety' and he become little brother to Izuku and Shinsou and slowly also becomes a hero plush fanatic ect 

The real meat of the story begins when everyones all graduated and grown up and debuted as heroes and Class 1a is asked to attend a hero con where they answer questions and give out merch to start a fan base and Izuku, Shinsou, and Kota are living their best lives in the crowd buying everything ‘woah look Hito-chan its Red Riot or woah is that Uravity yk they really captured her muscles in this figurine i boug- not that i was ogling her muscles no stop laughing at me Hi- OH MY GOD oooh cool its Creati and shes even using her cool quirk’ Meanwhile Katsuki is in his own personal hell at this convention and when overhearing a conversation, is flabbergasted his his classmates mention that this so called cute MEGA DORKY HERO FANATIC LOSER is going to all their stands and buying all their merch and complimenting them, but dares to IGNORE THE MIGHTY GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT'S MERCH?? I mean damn he may not like this aspect of heroism but he didnt sit through over 10+ hours of trying merch meeting discussing whether he wants ebony black or midnight black to be he color of his figure to be ignored. He didnt get woken up at 3am in the morning by his manger for his opinion on whether he wants to sell a 32 ounce or a 40 ounce hydroflask for this shit. So obviously he has to go and confront the nerd and he almost shits his pants when he realizes this mega loser dweeb is fucking DEKU!

Katsuki talks with him and eventually asks why he doesnt want to buy any of his stuff and Izuku ends up admitting that this merch, all this stuff is basically his therapy, when he sees these dolls he is filled with hope that he future is gonna get bad and he wont be haunted of the past and katsuki is the antithesis of that. Getting a Dynamight figure will just remind him of the past he wants to forget and while he loves Kacchan and believes in him and truly does believe he is destined for great things, he needs to let him go. Please Kacchan, let me let you go...

FUCK YOU DEKU! take my phone number and since you keep associating me with bad memories, well then lets go make new BETTER memories shitty nerd. And suddenly Izuku is hanging out with Kacchan again and Katsuki is giving it his 110% until he slowly but surely builds up Izuku's Dynamight collection.

MANGA CH. 284 SPOILERS

OF REDEMPTIONS AND ATONEMENTS:

We all been knew, man. We all knew this was coming.

And godDAMN does it fucking HURT. (oh the sweet sweet angstfest this whole chapter is, just *chef's kiss*)

But i legit cannot put into words how deep the choice to 'Atone' cuts on my bleeding bkdk heart. Let's first take a step back and see how Katsuki went from DvK2 to here- that one keystone moment that has given us this beautiful chapter: And I meant ALLLL the way back to Chap. 252

I have already written a whole-ass post based on this panel, which you can check Here.

TL;DR Katsuki was actually paying real close attention to Endeavour in this part. He came to Endeavour to learn exactly what he was missing as a Hero, but he learnt so much more.

This scene in particular left a momentous impact on Kacchan. Here, Natsuo is resistant to the idea of forgiving his father for all his sins just because he is more involved in their lives now. And Endeavour had been dreaming for a while about a Home where he is not present with the rest of the Todoroki's which ultimately gave him the idea of buying a house for the others to live in apart from him. This is HUGE. This is what actually drove Endeavour's Redemption home- the perfect understanding and the perfect compensation, the two elements of a brilliant Redemption Arc. NOT THE FORGIVENESS, just as Enji says it. It is NEVER ABOUT THE FORGIVENESS.

Endeavour understood that it was his presence that caused his family distress, and although he dearly wanted to be a part of his family again, was even making efforts towards it by being cordial and accepting of Shouto's friends, inviting them to a family dinner, etc. etc. Endeavour realized the only way he can compensate/atone was to give up something that would cause him suffering, and them happiness. The idea that your family doesnt want you, when you just started to show some effort and HOPE that they might see you in different light, maybe forgive you and then to just terminate those ties entirely, punting yourself into a void where NO ONE CAN COME IN AND SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SUFFERING, is exactly what Endeavour did. He is actively shutting down the ONE window through which his family could see that he was suffering, and miserable, and wanted to be a part of the family again. Endeavour CHOSE to not be forgiven. To writhe with the knowledge of his sins day in and day out with only the shrine of Dabi Touya to haunt him every waking minute.

I cannot explain just how much determination it takes to do that, man. It's just- WOW.

Excuse me for ranting on Endeavour in a bkdk post, but I swear this has a point. And All Might says this the best:

This is the fanlation, the official release (which I couldnt get my hands on) also mentions that "When I meant you were like Endeavour, I meant the Change"

This here is an important bit that AM has caught onto.

In the 252 panel, where Endeavour says 'It's not like I want forgiveness' (Because Endeavour understands he cannot be, should not be, forgiven) "I just want to make up for everything I have done" (and to back this up, Endeavour shuts down the one communication link that could have offered him forgiveness, and thus salvation from the weight of his sins and his guilt)

Katsuki understood Endeavour's idea of redemption very well here, although he might not be shown with that light-bulb moment. He may have already known this wayyy before Endeavour said anything, but those words lent a solidity and to the path he must persue to acheive redemption: And it's Not forgiveness.

Let me tell you why I think Atonement is the greater factor here, even greater than Redemption itself. Redemption has an end-point: Forgiveness. But Atonement doesn't. Atonement has no expiry date. Atonement is purely propelled by the understanding of self, and the weight of guilt the self bears, whereas a Redemption is All About The Forgiveness.

Forgiveness is an external force, it may or may not be given to you and that is completely up to the person who has been wronged. Atonement is self-imposed, it is a meditation of the soul to forgive itself against the guilt it carries.

If Redemption is a marathon with a banner at the finish line, Atonement is trying to drag a twenty pounds of rocks through the Sahara desert without water, food or a compass- it's endless, hopeless.

And this is why Atonement is greater than Redemption.

And do you think someone as stubborn as Kastuki will ever find himself atoned of his deeds? No. And That, my friends, is The Point. In 252, when Endeavour says, "I dont want forgiveness" it's not just him saying it- it's also Katsuki. "I just want to make it upto you", is also Katsuki.

And to prove it, Katsuki will never ask for forgiveness. A verbal apology will be nice, sure. Especially since dumb-ass, gay-ass, 'Kacchan-sugoi' ass Izuku Doesn't even See it as Atonement. He is just #Blessed that Kacchan and he can talk almost-naturally again. And that is also Katsuki's intention- because the moment Izuku knows, he won't be able to atone this way anymore.

So, as much as I HATE to say this, the chances of a voluntary verbal apology are slim. If allowed to go on like this, Kacchan with continue to shadow Izuku through his life, worrying about him, LOSING SLEEP OVER HIM :

Can you believe this bitch-ass gremlin who goes to sleep at 8:30 got bags just from stressing over his Deku??????

LOOK AT HIM DOING A HECCIN' MAJOR KOKORO-STOPPING CONCERN.

(He is flipping his shit because he worries, and he worries so much, and has worried for him for a long LONG time.)

- Katsuki will continue on this path of being Izuku's support.

Forever if it takes.

Forever, he hopes, it takes-

Because the only way he will stop is in death, either his own or Deku's.

This is his Atonement: To undo everything he once did, to support Izuku's dream instead of squashing it; To help him get stronger instead of perpetuating the narrative on his weakness; To protect him from all harm, when he once hurt; To be on his side when the whole world is against him, because once he was all, but, for him; To save Izuku as he wins, to win as he saves.

And, To deny each oppurtunity of forgiveness even as he desperately longs to be unburdened of his guilt.

Because Katsuki knows:

He knows Izuku is that one of a million, he is kind and humble and considerate and loving to a fault.

Katsuki knows that Izuku will forgive him in a heartbeat. That is just the kind of selfless, beautiful person he is.

Unlike Endeavour, who had no guarantee to forgiveness, Katsuki does. And that is what makes Katsuki's Atonement more powerful than Endeavour's. He recognizes it is in his grasp, just an arm's length away...

....Just an arm's length.

And Katsuki will deny himself that. Because he does not believe he deserves it. He hasn't atoned enough for it.

"Keep At Arm's Length"

He says. Because this is the critical distance between them. Not "Stay an arm's length away", because Katsuki doesn't wanna run away from Deku, and he doesn't want to be too far away to protect him, nor does he want to get too close to finally recieve the forgiveness that will give him salvation.

This is the fine balancing act Katsuki must maintain indefintely till he believes he has acheived his idea of atonement. (And when has he ever been happy just the bare minimum?)

I know I said Katsuki will never ask for forgiveness, and a voluntary verbal apology is very unlikely, because in it's very nature, it is inviting a forgiveness from Izuku, which we have established, Katsuki wants to avoid. And if this were any other manga, we would have been doomed to this conclusion. But, there is a scenario when Katsuki might issue a verbal apology and that is when Katsuki knows there isn't enough time to be forgiven in turn, or, hasn't atoned enough and can no longer continue to.

Like when Katsuki launches off, to deliver a final kamikaze blow to a villain, and he has only enough time to tell Deku a short "I am sorry", but not enough time to wait for a reply. Or when Deku is dying and at his final moments, when Katsuki knows however much he has atoned isn't enough and isn't how Deku should leave, without closure.

summary:  in which your sweet tooth becomes the bane of bakugo’s life, finding out you house even more sweets in your pockets, his only way to finally get you stop seems to be a bit more different than his initial plan

Lollipops were definitely your go to sweets, you loved sucking on them and the different flavours you had each day brought joy to your mouth. It was easier to suck on them then bite your nails when you became anxious, so you always kept a lollypop with you.

Of course you told Bakugo about it, your reasonings being evident and he had been fine with it, not really caring and as long as you had something to help your anxiety then he was fine with it.

That’s what he thought it had been, until he found the wrappers, the containers filled with different sweets, from the sour worms to the gumdrops. 

He seriously could feel his heart ache at the mountains of containers you had, he seriously had to take a double take thinking he’d walked into Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

Surprisingly, there was no chocolate, but the sweets littered your new dorm, your bin filled with wrappers. 

That's when he knew he had to sort this problem out, he couldn't watch you eat anymore knowing how much you had already eaten. 

He got scary not gonna lie, shouting at the side effects off excessive sugar, made a presentation of just rotting teeth, he made you watch the whole thing with his stupid laser pen as he went around the rotted teeth.

It was gross as fuck, very traumatic.

He helped you a lot to cut down on the sugar with your sweets, wanting you to try and get down to one lollypop a day and that was it. 

He tried, but you’d end up buying some more, hell knows where you got the money from.

Threatens you but in the end, it gets to you after he finds the wrappers again and confesses how he just wants the best for you.

You ask for a substitute and this man brings you the worst substitute ever. 

It’s when he leaves something that it seems your excessive sugar intake may have finally gone down.

Bakugo had been left waiting outside your dorm as you wore your UA uniform, he never understood how you could wake up so late. But he didn’t question it seeing you walk out happily, your mouth sucking a sweet to calm you down. You had described it like marijuana but without the consequences of it, which he glared at you for saying. Even then your avid sweet tooth had become an insane problem, you may have cut down on the sweets, but you always seemed to get your hands on some. 

“Want to try?” You popped the lollypop out from your mouth, your saliva sticking to the purple sweet. Bakugo would regret agreeing knowing having a sugar rush in the morning was not the best bet but if it stopped you from eating it all he’d take it. 

He nodded, watching as you put the sweet in his mouth, the white stick being the only thing visible as he sucked on the grape flavouring, still being able to taste your spit mixed in with it. 

Walking into class hand in hand, he kept the lollypop in his mouth watching you leave without a trace of sweets on you. You seemed calmer as he watched you sit beside him, well that's until he saw your stuffed pockets. Aizawa had been running late and everybody began conversing with each other, “you bought more, didn’t you.” He mutters stuffing his hand in your grey blazer to find small hard sweets inside the pocket. “Y/n, really, even after my presentation.”

“I just love them so much.” You pouted grabbing them and stuffing them in your pocket. 

“Fuck Y/n, please can you calm down with your sugar intake, I don’t want you to die or get rotten teeth.” He threw the lollypop into the bin, just missing Mineta who had bent over to sharpen his pencil. “I want you to be healthy.”

“I am healthy, I just love it so much.” 

He gave a glare turning to face you properly, you put your head to side watching his cold red eyes warm at your features. “Just find something else to help you instead, you can't live off sweet things forever.”

“You find me something else and then I'll give it up.” You muttered, popping a hard candy in your mouth just as Aizawa walked in. 

Bakugo thought for a while, throughout the whole day event, thinking of foods he knew you liked. Of course having a sweet tooth wasn't a bad thing but you needed a balance to not have type 2 diabetes when you grow old. He continued to think until he found the basic things on google as replacements, by the end of the day, he had sought out what was needed and called you into the kitchen. 

“Fruit.” He pushed the bananas and apples into your arms, you gave a confused look taking an apple and biting into it. “I read it’s good or whatever.”

“You read?” You mock.

He glares back at you, “shut up, idiot.” He grabs your hand with the bitten apple and stuffs it back into your face. “Eat it all.”

He seemed content with what he had done, pushing the 3 apples and 2 bananas onto you, not even letting you get a word in. He goes to put some bread in the toaster, hungry after a long day and keeping an eye on your fruits, watching as you just stared at it as if it was some unknown thing. 

“Oi Bakugo, help move this.” Kirishima shouts from the common area.

Bakugo gives a scowl before staring at you, “eat.” You mutter profanity before taking another bite, watching as the man leaves for Kirishima. The sound of the toaster finally letting the toast out, even the smell of toast almost became intoxicating, how could you not refuse.

Going over to the two toasts you butter them and that's when it starts, toasting more as you went through the two toast with such ease. It seemed like hours since Bakugo left and with that you had already eaten 5 toasts going onto the sixth. 

“What the fuck?” Bakugo stares at the toast in your hand and the missing six slices, staring between you and the toaster. You take another bite, and he continues to give such a blank look, “fruit?”

“Toast?” You question back taking another bite, Bakugo comes up to you grabbing one of the fruits after you'd eaten all the bread and gives a glare. “I like bread now. 

“Of course you do baby.” He mutters ruffling your head as you continue to chew on the toast happily. He might hate how you’d gotten onto another food craving but at least you had variety and weren't going to die of a heart attack from it all. “You really are an idiot.”

“Shut up, want some?” You spoke like a child with only one bite left he opened his mouth, watching as you put the buttered toast in his mouth, your fingers graving against his lips as he was to just lick the butter off your fingers, a satisfied face that he had finally gotten to you.

i’m thinking about the coming up issues that could happen with OFA more or less being a revealed secret to the world. i’ve said this before, and i’m saying it again, so listen if you want:

the world learns of ofa and realizes even more than before that all might, his work, his legacy, was not truly his. there’s no explanation as to why, maybe it’s the bitter feelings, the resentment, the anger of the civilians of being let down so much already, but they hate all might. hate his legacy. they hate this power because how is it this special and yet it has still yet to do its job. and then it leaks that all nights successor is midoriya izuku & the ones who are so desperate for change to return to the good old days scream at the top of their voices:

give ofa to someone who actually deserves it. give ofa to someone who’s stronger. and recently because they dig up everything they can find on midoriya izuku & piece together that he is, in fact, quirkless: give ofa to someone with a quirk that’s already undefeatable.

midoriya izuku wakes up one day, mind and body weak from the war, unable to remember anything from his time from the vestige except that he needs to accomplish what he’s failed, and he’s assaulted by the media. they hound him with these questions, screeching in his ear about how can all might successor, the fucking chosen one, lose so many times publically. how can he call himself a worthy successor? isnt he ashamed of himself? isnt he aware that he isn’t good enough and needs to pass it on?! he’s been quirkless his entire life and has only had this quirk for a year! he’ll be okay! give it away to someone better, someone more qualified, someone who’s a better hero!

and izuku just has to keep carrying on. his shoulders shaking as he keeps his head down, just trying to recover enough to he can continue in his second year. his lips tremble as he passes the hounds every day to school, and he doesn’t talk in class no matter who tries and talks with him.

all might tries to speak up for his successor, tries to scorn the media for being so mean and so rude. “he’s 16 years old,” all might chastises, “he’s a child trying his best! he’s far better a hero than anyone i’ve ever met, give him time!”

but the media, the citizens of japan, hell the fucking the world doesnt have the time, they don’t have the respect for all might anymore, so their taunts towards izuku get worse, get louder, get violent.

“you even chose your hero name to be deku... you know what you are, midoriya izuku, what exactly are you trying to prove by continuing to fail us all?! useless people will always be useless!”

he’s always known he was a failure. he’s always known that there were more worthy people in the world who deserves ofa. maybe he should give it away... he’s already tried with mirio... maybe someone else, if not him, will want it?

izuku knows it’s time to say goodbye to ofa.

until someone, with a voice louder than anyone’s (save present mic) screams at them all.

“who the fuck do you idiots think you’re talking to, hah? deku is many fucking things and he’s a loser, but there isn’t a single fucking person in this entire world who could ever carry on ofa.”

bakugou katsuki, someone who helped keep the secret hidden for as long as he could, is the first round of support. izuku watches as uraraka is the next one to agree, then its shouto, and quickly, one by one, his classmates, teachers, friends, eri, kota, every middle and elementary school classmate he ever stood up for, and the first boy we saw him defend on the very first page of the manga begins speaking up.

if not him, who?

yes there’s millions of people in the world with more superior skills than izuku. but no one is izuku. no one has made ofa their own the way izuku has. midoriya izuku is a lot of things and being the wielder of ofa until his dying breath is one of them.

and izuku watches with wide eyes and cries because for so long he’s never really had a hero... never had someone to defend him and he laughs, smiles even, looking at his friends and family before right at bakugou katsuki the one person he both knows everything about and doesn’t know anything about and he smiles. how bittersweet that bakugou katsuki is yet again his hero.

CLINGY BAKUGOU

after him and deku sort out all their shit and they're like,,,, best friends again they immediately revert to how they were when they were children

- they have sleepovers all the time which is usually just because they were watching an all might documentary for the 1743th time and bakugou fell asleep in midori's bed

- and as we know bakugou likes to spread out so he ends up like,, basically laying on top of deku and squishing him but deku doesn't mind because he's used to it and it feels like old times, with the warmth of kacchan replacing the blanket bakugou kicked off the bed

- and when they wake up katsuki goes down to make breakfast and when deku gets there he immediately latches on to him bc deku was always the one person he could be unashamdely touchy and clingy with and he wouldn't push him off or tease him he would just accept kastuki's weight on his back and move along with his day

- and all of their classmates are like ????????

- 'i knew you guys made up or whatever but what the fuck is this'

- kaminari thinks he was hit with a quirk and accidentally sent into an alternate universe where bakugou doesnt just accept touch but initiates it because there is seriously no other explanation for why 1a's resident troll who usually spends his days warding everyone off of his metaphorical bridge is now clinging to the class sunshine like this is a completely normal tuesday morning and not the dawn of denki's existential crisis

- so anyway back to our regularly scheduled programming of ~clingy bakugou headcanons~

- he sits next to him on class movie nights, snuggling so close to him on the couch that he basically pulls deku into his lap and the class gives them teasing looks, which almost makes katsuki want to glare at everyone and huff angrily and maybe storm out for good measure but deku just rests his head on his chest and suddenly he's got a face full of fluffy green hair and he couldn't possibly move now because then he would have to move deku

- he's always leaning back in his chair and into deku's space because just being closer to him makes him happy and when he's separated from him for too long it makes his skin itch (which is sort of pathetic really, katsuki thinks, but that's also the kind of thinking that made him push away deku in the first place and so he thinks it's fair that he's just making up for lost time. besides, deku would never leave him, right?)

- (wrong) deku leaves,,, without katsuki even getting to see him before he's gone, and suddenly he's touch starved all over again and the itch under his skin has turned into nausea and hurt because the one person he thought would never leave him just did and the one person he let himself rely on has left him and now katsuki feels wholly empty and it's all his own fault because if he had treated deku right from the start maybe he wouldn't have left him,,,, or maybe if he hadn't let him in, maybe if he kept his walls up and didn't open that little deku-sized door it wouldnt feel like his heart and soul is pouring out of him right now and leaving him hollow

- kirishima tries to comfort him and his touches are nice, but they're also not the same. when he leans on kiri's shoulder all he sees is red not green, and when he leans back in his chair all he feels is the cool air of nothing, and then that stupid guy from the sports festival with the eyebags,,, he only takes solace in the memory of deku beating his ass in their battle

- and he misses all the hugs between training, the hands reaching out to pick him up after they spar, the movie night snuggles, hair playing, and the quick hugs when he's in the kitchen

- he misses feeding deku some of sato's pastries, which is really just him shoving food in deku's mouth bc they were just training and deku commonly forgets to eat with all the other stuff running through his brain

- he just misses his daily dose of deku cuddles and he hates that the one time he let deku go, suddenly he's gone

anyway this was not supposed to turn into angst and im kinda not that happy with it but i just want some clingy bakugou. if anyone wants to add on pls do !!!!!

Ok bitches, it’s midnight and my mind is ROLLING.

This obviously has to do with bakugo. I’m a bakugo kinny so don’t @ me plz.

I really do be thinking that he’d fall in love with his teacher. But like let me explain.

You’re one of his teachers but you aren’t a hero, 100% a vigilante bc you don’t believe in the Hero morals bc you think they are a little twisted. You’re the only teacher in UA who’s not a “real” hero, personally i think Aizawa is a vigilante bc in the beginning we see that he doesn’t like Toshinori and i think it has to do with his Hero ways.

ANYWAYS, getting out of pocket here.

After the UA festival you have a big soft spot for bakugo and midoriya (especially bkg but don’t tell deku). One day he accidentally fell asleep in class bc he’s been having nightmares and you notice. Ofc you do- he’s basically your kid smh. You don’t even bother to wake him and you threaten the ones who try, especially denki and mineta. Your quirk revolves around blood manipulation but u can make it into a physical form (i guess like elsa but w blood/ u can manipulate not just yours) So when they try to wake up bakugo you just put two scary blood creatures beside them and they threaten them for you. If class is over and he’s still asleep, deku looks a little worried but you pat his shoulders and let him know it’s okay.

he obviously wakes up startled with the blood beside him, unknown to you, it reminded him of the Sludge villain. you rush to his side and start to apologize, stroking his hair but he just slaps your hand away. He’s not used to this type of affection. “Bakugo.... Are you sleeping alright?” He obviously doesn’t crack under the first attempt and decided to leave, calling you an old hag nun the less. He’s muttering “Why should you care?” and “Mind your business old hag.” Mind you, youre only like 7 years older than he is. (Bakugo is 16, aka the oldest of the class making you 23, one of the youngest teachers too) You only stop him seconds before he’s out the door to let him know that he can talk to you when he wants to. Obviously flips u off bc he doesn’t see you like an elder like Aizawa or All Might.

The fourth time Bakugo is distracted or falls asleep, he slips up. You wake him after Iida complained to you about not waking him up, low key threaten him too- u know that he almost murdered stain 💀 shuts him right up. You stroke his hair this time, trying to be gentle and not startle him like last time. You ask if he’s okay again and that’s when he slips up, “Just nightmares n stuff...” He is NOT fully awake or conscious, so he kinda frazzled up again and we are back to our regular program of Bakugo barking in your face to mind your business. But you don’t expect him to say thank you right before he walks out the door. You’re like ????? that’s new.

It’s probably the last time bakugo falls asleep is when he starts developing a crush on you. You run your hands through his hair again and he kinda rubbed into it like a cat being pet behind the ears. Both of you are like 👁👄👁

He BOLTED. No way he had just developed a crush on his teacher. No fucking way. Try’s to distance himself from you. Doesnt sleep in you class anymore. Doesnt ask you for your help or anything. You don’t mind since it seems like he’s getting by better than he was before.

But when he gets captured by the LOV and youre at camp w aizawa as extra help and you don’t see bakugo back with the rest it’s like a piece of your heart was ripped out. ( BTW in this point in time the feelings you have for bakugo ARE NOT ROMANTIC, it’s kinda like Eri and Aizawa situation, you unintentionally took bakugo under your wing and care for him a little bit more than the rest)

You don’t sleep until you find him. You’re at the press conference and you’re blood begins to boil when they said bakugo would become a villain. You spoke over Aizawa “I can assure you that you can drop those theories and accusations of my student. Bakugo Katsuki is talented and strong willed. What you saw during the festival was a mier fragment of who he really is. He’s a good kid who wants to be the number one hero one day... he wouldn’t give that up to be a villain.”

“And how do you know this fire sure, (hero/name)”

“I know my student better than anyone.”

When you hear that Midoriya, Iida, Momo, Kirishima and Todoroki went on a rescue mission to save Bakugo- you freak out. You paced all night until All might won the battle against AFO. Shota called you in the middle of the night to let you know that Bkg was gonna be in the hospital for the night. You rushed over there and once again your blood began to boil- you overheard the converstantion with him and his mother. Her calling him weak. What kind of mother was she?

you purposely walked in, “Oh sorry... You must be the Bakugos, I’m H/N- his teacher.” Mitsuki shook your hand and so did Masaru. You guys chatted a little before they left. “Your fathers such a sweet guy... how’d he end up with your mom?” Bakugo chuckled, “Old hag basically jumped on him at work.” You two chuckled together.

A very long chat between you too happened. More on how he was feeling and how you worried about him. At this point Bakugo knew that he could confide in you... He looked down at his lap and he began to sniffle. Something you where NOT expecting. “It’s all my fault... All might lost his power because of me... Becahse i was weak.” You heart ached for him UGH. Taking his hand in his, “Bakugo you are not weak... You’re the strongest kid I know. This isn’t your fault. If anything it’s mine... I couldn’t protect you kids fast enough... I’m sorry.” Caressing his cheeks. “It’s getting late. Get some sleep bakugo.” Youre about to let go of his hands but his grip gets tighter. “Don’t make me say it old hag.” He mutters before you chuckle a little and sit back down. You fall asleep you head on the edge of his bed, still in your chair while he finally began to drift to sleep. Your hand now in his.

When he figured out Deku’s secret he has one condition. “We tell L/N”

Deku’s like ??? “You mean H/N??? But kacchan!”

“No buts deku! We tell L/N or i tell everyone.”

“All Might! Do something!”

“I trust her”

“HA! Stupid deku!”

Bakugou’s kinda excited to tell you while y’all have tea and discuss Deku’s quirk but your sipping your tea when they tell you and your like “Oh, yeah i kinda figured that out myself... You guys are really bad at hiding a secret.” Bakugo calls the irresponsible and the rest is history 💀

Also you side intern w a 1-B student Shiozaki bc y’all have manipulation quirks and he gets mad jealous 💀💀 also hates that u intern w Vlad King and hang out w Hawks WAY TOO MUch

If he’s ever around you guys and Hawks starts flirting OH MAN bakugou with start to bark.

Hawks is the first person to notice his crush and he tells you and your like “Pft BAKUGOU?? You’re crazy!” but then you low key begin to notice small things that you didn’t before and your like oh- Oh shit.... this ain’t good

“Bakugo, have lunch with me will you?”

Denki and mineta make dirty jokes and you slap both of them w your shadows before the exit class.

You’re both mid into your bento box as you just blurt it out “Do you fancy me Kacchan?” yes u intentionally call him kacchan bc he chokes on the spici bento u made him. “Oh wow... hawks was right...”

“WHAT DID THAT BIRD BRAIN TELL YOU”

“Just told me you had a crush on me... Didnt believe him until now...” You eat a little more bento and just put it down bc ur don’t like the tension in the room. “Bakugo you know nothings going to happen between us right? You’re my student and i care about you. I obviously favor you but that’s all it’s gonna be.”

“Watch your mouth old hag. I’m 18 in two years, let’s see if i don’t come back and bite you in the ass.”

you burst out laughing and he just barks at you for laughing at him. “You will not my dear bakugo. Unless you graduate top of your class, turn 21 and make an image for yourself, then we’ll talk.”

“Mmm i promise ima gonna follow you till u love me too, L/N.”

“you’re disgusting, eat your bento.”

SPOILERS FOR MANGA CHAPTER 280 and ONGOING

You’re horribly injured. Gashes and blood spilling from your wounds as you watch Midoriya fight a battle alone with Shigaraki. Bakugo is sitting you up between his legs, making sure you don’t pass out. Your blood isn’t regenerating your wounds like it usually would. Your body has its limits and you’ve almost passed them.

But when Aizawa goes out cold, Deku claims Nanas float quirk, it’s up to you and Endevor to keep everyone safe, even if your body is screaming at you to sleep and rest.

There’s a moment when you see bakugo look at you when he sees that his child hood friends is in grave danger. “Don’t... BAKUGO!” He’s already in the air and your blood whips aren’t fast enough to move them. Shigaraki is faster and pieces through his chest and abdomen... It’s like you could feel it. “NO!!BAKUGO!!!” Everyone around you can hear the horror in your voice as you push yourself up in the air w the rest of your energy and catch him in your arms before anyone else does, but your body feels limp, luckily enough Todoroki Shoto is seconds behind you and catches the both of you safely.

At this point you can’t even tell who’s blood is on your hands. “You idiot.... Damn it ... Hey, hey you’re alright, look at me Bakugo. You can’t leave me too kid.” If it weren’t for your regeneration you’d probably be passed out the way he is right now. “We’re gonna get you to safety alright.... You gotta keep your promise... as stupid as it is.”

The second your feet step into a medical, everyone is looking at the both of you in horror. You tears a falling onto him and you just look like a tired mess. “Please take him. No- No not me, him! He needs help not me, please.” The doctors are quick and they try to help you but you keep screaming that it’s bakugo that needs help and when he’s not in your arms anymore and you see him getting the help you need that’s when your body collapses into the arms of a doctor.

Once everything is over and everyone is safe. You’re the last one out of the group who wakes up, which frightens bakugo. He’s in his room and he’s nagging you at his nurse to let him see you (your legit a curtain over) but she keeps saying that you need rest and blah blah. “Let the kid in nurse.” You croak and bakugo almost falls off his bed to get to you.

he regrets his decision. you look pissed. “You could have died.” was the first thing you tell him when you see him. “Do you know how selfish that was Bakugo? You could have died in my arms? Did you even think about that-

“My body moved in it’s own...”

*silence*

After that you watch Bakugo from afar, you give up you job in UA. You felt unworthy to have that position especially when you couldn’t save your student for the second time. Sometimes bakugo calls you and ask where you are while he’s on a grocery run. “I’m a lot closer than you think Kacchan, now get home safely, it’s getting dark.” You hang up in him and follows him back to UA, making use he’s fine.

This goes on for two year until he graduates. He’s taking pictures with his friends and aizawa gives him a box. “What is this?” he shrugs. “She just dropped it off.” He walks away leaving bakugo confused.

He opens the box and it’s a picture of you and him that Toshinori may have taken while you laughed together eating your bento. Behind the picture, there’s ink w your hand writing “give it back in 3 years” and inside there’s ring hanging on a necklace, he chuckles while reading the next note “p.s i’m not proposing. i just want something else to look forward to other than your presence”

“stupid hag.” he mutters before pulling the necklace over his head and tucking it into his graduate uniform. his hand is over the necklace and you see his smile from the top of the UA roof. When he looks up, he sees you. You smile softly and disappear when he blinks- he was afaid that would happen.

the next three years go by a lot quicker than he realizes. He’s interning under the agency you created w hawks but your no where to do seen. You’re never. in office.

and when april 20th hits, it’s the first time people see you in the office in three years and you go directly to Bakugos cubicle. You place a white box in front of him and smile “Happy birthday Dynamight.” His eyes widen when he locks eyes with you. Your hair is different, you look more like a woman than you did 5 years ago. he’s speechless and u just chuckle and roll your eyes. “My necklace, Kacchan.”

“I want my birthday present first.”

“What are you talking about, the box is your present now hand over my neck-“

deku's drunk tattoo hcs

based on my previous post about domestic bkdk, i offer you some more insights about dekus tattoos

- alternatively, deku getting a drunk tattoo of all mights iconic smiling face and immediately panicking when he sees it the next day while katsuki dies of laughter

- he tries to cover up the tattoo by getting cover-up tattoos of bakugous insignias and fiery explosions over it (which. admittedly is still a tacky decision) but then oh fuck that didnt work now it looks like he has a tattoo of endeavors face right over his right butt cheek.

- so he hides it from bakugou and never ever tells a single soul about it ever again

- (except ochako but that doesnt count bc her merciless roasting proves she has no soul)

- and he thinks thats the end of it! hes free! he'll just never have to show anyone ever his butt and he'll be fine!

- ...except one day todoroki sees it once while carrying dekus dumb unconscious body to the hospital and when deku wakes up its like

so of course you had to agree with him even if it costed you your natural hair color

so you two hit up kirishima in secret to help you dye your hair

so like planned, at exactly 8:30 where bakugo would be knocked out cold, you three would start your grand fools day joke

“babe, i’m getting tired” bakugou yawns as you two watch tv in the common room 

“awww is it time for boom boom baby’s bedtime?” you cooed, pinching his cheeks

bakugo huffs and pulled you closer to his chest

literally 5 mins just passed and apparently bakugo cant take it anymore

“i’m sleepy. i’m going to sleep now” he checks the time on his phone and it deadass reads 8:05 PM 

“goodnight katsuki” you kissed his cheek briefly to which he returns your love with a kiss on the lips

“night” he smiles, walking back to his room

after the coast is clear

both kirishima and todoroki emerge from the kitchen holding up what seems to be a plastic bag filled with hair dye

“let’s get this bread” kirishima giggles as you and todoroki share a knowing look

~an hour into dyeing your hair~

“holy fuck kiri how do you deal with this shit every other week” you whined as they placed your head above the sink for what seems like the nth time tonight

“stop whining” todoroki tsked as he holds half of your hair up

“stop scolding me who are you? my fucking dad?” you retort sending ur bff a glare

todoroki literally flicks your forehead but he forgot he got dye in his fingers now your forehead is stained in the color of red

“SHOTO WHAT THE FUCK” you screamed as you rapidly wiped your forehead

“heh you sound like my dad” he snickers

kirishima had to deal with the two of you for 4 fucking hours

but luckily those hours are over since the look is complete

you looked in front of the mirror with todoroki and kirishima beside you

“hOLY FUCK YOU GUYS” you squealed, twirling your hair with your fingers

“looks sick dude” kirishima comments, complimenting his work which is the hair job lmfao

“sho look we’re twins!” you turned to todoroki and gave him your iconic grin he grew up with

you quickly thanked the two boys for their hard work and you tied your hair with some plastic so it doesn’t stain your pillows and shit

+ you had to get some beauty sleep to surprise your mans

fast forward to the next day

since bakugo sleeps early, he also wakes up early

and when he went downstairs to the bathroom to do his business he almost had an heart attack and blew up the boys bathroom after seeing the red stained sink 

“fucking shitty hair and his shit he doesnt clean up” he grumbles to himself, staring at the sink

you on the other hand, you overslept because at the time you went to bed last night

so bakugo had to come all the way to your room to wake you the fuck up

bakugo knows you dont lock your door cs everyone probably knows by now that you’re dating him so if anyone who isnt bakugo goes to your room might be killed by bakugo himself if he finds out

and what bakugo saw was something he thought he only saw in movies

my boy lost all the color in his face when he noticed icy hot’s hair IN YOUR BED

its safe to say you were awoken by the smell of burning caramel and explosions going off in your room

“FUCK IM AWAKE” you jolt up from your bed in high alert after literally witnessing a grenade go off in your room

“WHAT THE FUCK?!” bakugo YELLS the moment he saw your hair color

you faced bakugo who was literally at the brink of crying cause mans thought you were ch**t*ng on him behind his back

“KATSUKI” you laughed, walking near him to give him a hug

bakugo was holding in his tears at this point

he wiped a stray tear angrily and sniffled

“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR” he croaked, his nose getting red

“IT WAS APRIL FOOLS. I’M SORRY” you apologized, holding his face

so basically everyone in 1-a was outside your room wondering what the fuck happened

todoroki took the liberty and opened your door to see you holding bakugo like he was a baby

“it was todoroki’s idea by the way” you throw todoroki under the bus, bakugo stays silent and just lets you hold him lmfao

“haha april fools” todoroki laughs as he watched bakugo cry 

bakugo turns around and gave him the bakuglare™ 

which todoroki understood as “get the fuck out”

so he leaves quietly and gave you a smile of accomplishment on the way out

you let out a laugh and turned your attention to bakugo again

“i’m so hurt right now i don’t even know what to say” he starts, “but i’m not gonna ignore the fact you look good in it” bakugo admits

“i’m going have to punish you for making me think of things” bakugo says through gritted teeth before scooping you up at ease and throwing you to your bed

had to share a few thoughts about bnha 303 so here they are lolz

with hawks and best jeanist asking endeavor about one for all, we can say with confidence that the cat's gonna fly outta the bag pretty soon, and like all might said: 'it's not only the wicked who seek power' so i know this may seem like a very bad thing, but while i agree with this, i don't think it's entirely true.

as we all know, izuku is known by his overwhelming need to save; a need that eclipses all of his senses and often makes him sacrifice his own well-being for the sake of others. izuku's need to save is one of the main traits of his character and while is not a bad one, it is something that he needs to work on.

and by the bandages all over his body, and the fact that he's in a coma—

—it makes it pretty easy for us to infer that the damage his body took this time is serious, and he needs to do something in order to stop hurting himself to those extents.

but how? well, that's when katsuki enters.

izuku's need to save and the way that translates into his self-sacrificing nature has never been seen as something bad; it's often perceived as something worth of praise and admiration. kinda like it's almost encouraged... heroic. on the other hand we have katsuki who is the exact opposite, and like the iconic parallel states, instead of saving to win, katsuki wants to win to save. but the big difference between them it's that katsuki has been criticized for that.

so, katsuki started evolving.

he started working on not only his abilities, but also on his definition of winning. discovering and accepting what he lacks, making progress, going forward— there's no other person who knows change better than him. and if we add the life-long relationship he has with izuku, and the fact that he was the first and only person to perceive izuku's need to save and its consequences with concern...

well, everything points at him.

izuku needs to learn that he will be able to save everyone, the ones in his reach and the ones out of his reach, by leaning on others. and that's why i think revealing one for all is not as bad as it seems. including hawks, best jeanist, endeavor (and maybe todoroki and a few more pro-heroes) in the secret can really make a difference in the physical and mental toll one for all takes in izuku. and hopefully, it will also make izuku understand that he doesn't need to do everything by himself, that he doesnt has to be a lonely hero.

yes, it will put him in way more danger than before if the details of one for all's legacy are known by the public, but i, and i hope i dont regret saying this in the future, trust that ua and every adult in the bnha universe will do the impossible to protect izuku.

and maybe i'm being a little too optimistic here but i really hope that after he wakes up, and sees the state of society, the state of his own body— he realizes that while he may feel like the weight of the whole world is on his shoulders, he can split that burden, and make it more tolerable. with the help of katsuki and all might and everyone else, i know he will be able to lead a healthier path towards his goal.
