OKAY REAL TALK. i'm on episode 5 rn. if this keeps up the way i think it is then this show is such a fucking genius adaptation, and i never would've seen it coming

like yeah, an animated scott pilgrim series authentic to the comics and the story bryan originally wanted to tell would've been amazing too. but when you think about it, SCOTT'S story has already been told to us more than a few times now. even if the live action movie took a different turn by accident, the overall message of "well-intentioned people can still make, and should still take responsibility for, mistakes that hurt those who care about them, and indifference will only end up hurting them back" still sticks for the most part.

but it's mainly been from scott's perspective. which makes sense! he's the main character, so, obviously!! but here's the thing: ramona has ALWAYS served as a reflection of scott's issues. ngl i think this is one of the most consistent things in the entire franchise, and it's why i love ramona so much. as we dive further into her backstory we learn just how much of a wall she's built around herself, how she's afraid of trusting people, but especially that, as sympathetic as she is, she's also caused so much (unintentional) damage herself. although she's introduced as someone literally too good to be true and unreachable by scott's standards, it becomes more and more apparent how similar scott and ramona are, and so they're perfect for guiding each other towards a brighter path.

and what better way to highlight this than to flip the tables completely, putting RAMONA center stage aka making the audience intimately familiar with her immediately, making SCOTT the mysterious damsel in distress/goal at the finish line instead, driving ramona to face the 7 evil exes and making amends with them in a way scott never could???

also can i just say. HUGE SHOUTOUT to the marketing team for hiding this reveal SOOOOO well. like seriously, i was worried they were showing TOO MUCH in the trailers BUT I WAS WRONG. WE GOT PLAYED SO HARD

i have experienced p5/p5r (obv), p4g, and am working thru p3 reload w my brother. of all of them I find I've liked the p4 cast the least, not bc I DISliked any of them but I just didn't like any of them as much as the p5 cast. obv I don't like anyone as much as Ryuji, he's my number one guy ever, but my other fave in p5 is probably Ann or Joker. In p4 my favorite was Kanji (big surprise) and my least fave was... Teddie or Rise, maybe? But I felt pretty neutral on the rest of the main cast. In p3 my favorite is Shinjiro (hes the only other character that rivals ryuji i can feel the brainrot taking over as we speak. and maybe a wittle crush whatever dont look at me 😳) and second fave is Junpei. And my least fave is. hmm. Ken maybe? There's nothing wrong w him he's just not for me. but i am also a koromaru fan (hehe doggie) and I like Fuuka too.

As a kid, I didn't realize how comforting memories could be, and I rarely had the luxury to create them.

I am glad I survived. It would have been easier, with fond memories to comfort me during painful times. I have many now, though, and they are indeed good company.

wth why would i suddenly not be able to watch a live stream on youtube? i dont think its an adblocker thing? i was watching a different live stream like 2 hours ago, i can watch regular videos and vods. but now when i bring up a stream it just goes gray and says "Your browser cant play this video". never seen this and having a hard time finding an answer online that is about a live stream, everything so far is for videos that dont work for anyone else either

#tried to bring it up on my tablet but that just didnt load the page at all like its not connected to the internet but it is #but i can watch the stream just fine on my phone on mobile firefox #weird. really really weird.#like i even had the tab up earlier while waiting for it to start. but then the extension to put tabs to sleep put it to sleep and #when i went back suddenly this is happening on all livestreams ive checked #opened in a different tab group and private mode. same problem #chat still works tho lol #maybe i'll try turning off the tab sleep ext?? hmm #my phone's at like 32% but also its after midnight so i probably wont watch the whole stream #(i say like i dont end up watching full streams everytime i go ''i'll just watch for a few minutes''#and also octavio is so adorable and funny and he's making a puppet that is already cursed)#anyway i'll either keep looking online or trying turning off that other extension or ill give up and just plug in my phone haha #eta: hey hey... guess..... guess what i did.... i watched that whole stream....#and then another hour long one after it..... this is why i didnt watch live streams for so long #i cant just watch ''for a few minutes''#then a few months ago i got sucked into the tempus rabbit hole and look where i am now #tanking my sleep schedule once again it is 3am -.-
