Atlach Nacha is underappreciated and misused
They’re a spiderlike human-sized horror with a Sisyphean task of fully bridging a large chasm housing monstrous horrors with their silk, and they speak in a shrill piercing voice which I imagine like Starscream but times 1000
Its not even clear if this is a curse or anything, they really seem like a workaholic.
One of the best writing prompt ideas I ever read was about an expedition by Miskatonic University that managed to record a disastrous interview with them

Sorry if this is something you’ve addressed before, but where do you fall on the Old Ones as people spectrum? (Outside of Nyarlathotep, but that’s his thing) I tend to shy away from entities that have agendas or personalities, like Y’Golonac or Yig, in my Lovecraft, but I know some people really love them. Just wondering what your take on it is.
I very much fall on the end of Lovecraftian beings as forces and themes moreso than actual entities. I take a very metaphysical approach to the Mythos deities. Some are forces with a will like Hastur or Atlach-Nacha. Hastur is a black hole for ideas and concepts, but does have an active roll in its effect on reality. Atlach-Nacha is a terror which binds alternate realities and dimensions, required for the universe to exist but with an ultimate unknowable goal.
Some are just names we've given to concepts. Yog-Sothoth is simply the force of spacetime and a massive well of power that smaller beings can draw on and haphazardly manipulate. Azathoth is both creation and entropy, mindlessly spawning reality and breaking it apart. Neither of them think or desire, they simply are, like gravity.
I really try to avoid distinguishing any sort of power level between them. There are no Outer Gods vs Great Old Ones vs Elder Gods or anything, they're all just forces that humans have ascribed categories and personalities and appearances to. Cthulhu is not a human-octopus-dragon. It is a maelstrom of psychic energy that may project itself in a monstrous form vaguely matching that description to a pattern-seeking human brain.
That isn't to say that I don't like more human interpretations of Mythos entities, just not in my personal interpretation.

O eroge milf haver, please tell me of the best yuri eroge you have
Unfortunately my blog title is mostly just a scarecrow for annoying tumblr users atm. I di have some reccs though...
If you can read Japanese well then you need to read Atlach=Nacha (something I unfortunately cannot do), but if you want a similar jp-only read that's way way easier I'd recommend the Yami no Koe series, ynk2 has the most yuri in it. Use textractor to make the reading experience easier it'll handle figuring out a lot of kanji for you, but it is entirely incapable of detecting character names by default.
Otherwise, pickings are surprisingly thin outside of the OEL scene for stuff thats readable in english. Kindred Spirits on the Roof is an obvious pick, for one I haven't seen much talk of I will say that Wanting Wings has been good from what I've played if you're down for a straightforward nukige (Fumi/Rin route is the highlight by far imo).
Honorable mention to Heavenly Beauty × Silver Bubble Ninetales for being the source of this legendary review from Hella Yuri. Haven't played it myself though.
Tumblr media
I will also say that SeaBed is not eroge but there are a handful of (brief, text only) sex scenes in it that I really liked regardless. This is mainly just an excuse to shill seabed anywhere I possibly can though.
Also I've never read them but a lot of sono hanabira games are in english, I'm not particularly interested in them so I've never looked into them much.
Feel free to reply with more I know I want to find as much as possible.

There are only four or so specifically female Cthulhu Mythos entities I can think of so maybe this'll help. Not sure about that avatar though.
1. Shub-Niggurath: The Black Goat of the Woods With a Thousand Young, a twisted fertility deity, constantly spawning children, corrupting crops, abd transforming her worshippers into terrible animalistic creatures. Mate of Yog-Sothoth, so might be the one you're looking for.
2. Atlach-Nacha: The Spinner in Darkness, a spider deity which spins a great web that connects universes and dimensions. Often depicted as a spider with a woman's face.
3. Cthylla: The Kraken or The Secret One, the daughter of Great Cthulhu. Not much else to say about this one.
4. Yhoundeh: The Elk Goddess, bride of Nyarlathotep. That relationship may be what you're looking for. Once again, not much else to this one.
OH THANK YOU! I'm pretty sure I'm thinking about maybe a fan-made? goddess or something? something unofficial. But regardless I thank you for all this information!
I'm happy to get a response to my questions regardless!!!

Actually, fuck it, Kukulkan sees Arachne in Foreigner form and is like “Wait can I do that?” And that’s how Kukulkan drider with ORT lower half happens.
Kukulkan only later learns Arachne is not another Archetype: ORT from PHH, and is like that because of Atlach-Nacha.
Nobody knows how she did that.

If someone was searching for exotic venom, what are some of the most unique that spring to mind? (I'm not asking you to research or anything, just like three gods or mundane monsters that pop into your head when you think "weird, powerful venom")
The most exotic one I can think of off the top of my head is the poison of Teshallas, which causes all living beings to age.
Atlach-Nacha's venom can cause permanent paralysis!
And all three of the poisons wielded by Braismois have pretty unique abilities!
