the parallel of Eren and Victor is easy.

but what if Levi and Ekko are parallel?

let's put aside the idea of time travel and universes, it’s understandable that in aot there’s another person who “traveled in time”

Levi sacrifices his loved ones, everything he has, his peace of mind and the quiet life that the Hange talked about when they offered, jokingly, of course, to stay together in the forest. he loses everything so that others can live, so that humanity has a chance.

Ekko leaves the reality in which he is happy, in which those who were everything to him are alive. he changes his love and peace of mind to save people. to help those who have not seen this happiness and will never see it if he does not return now.

they are both fighting for the lives of others. and both are left alone in the end. yes, there are those around who know them, to whom they are valuable to some extent. but their own happiness is lost.

Ekko did it with his own hands, Levi – in part, it was part of his duty.

Ahhhhh! I have to thank @satsuki92 latest chapter of Save it for Later in AO3 for this, how Levi's words inspired that chapter.

And I recalled Hange had a similar dialogue with Annie too 🤔

Parallels

The thing about Levi and Hange is that, when you read them as individual characters, they exude their own unique charm and quirky-ness. And then in a very subtle and subconscious way, they fit in so nicely with each other.

Sharing 3 instances I found in the manga/ anime which show their telepathy-ness even when they are not physically close to each other:-

1) When they convince the Reeves company with motivational words.

2) When they try to think which bones to break to make their point clearer.

I just want to add how scary Hange is here. It is a pity this scene is cut out in the anime, because it shows how much she cared about Nifa, Keiji and Abel when they had been slandered even after their death. The calmness displayed from Hange here gives off the same scary vibe when she tells Sannes to relay the threat to Nick's murderer.

I dont think that Hange is the scariest when she tried to throw Nick off the wall. That is an evidence that she is physically strong. But I do find that when she tried to control her emotions and act out in a calm and logical way, that is the most scary part of her.

3) The way they give out commands to their subordinates.

the ackerman clan and the garden assassins syndicate: soldiers that equal a hundred military troops

“if the guards are really from the garden, then this isn’t going to be easy.”

“mikasa ackerman?! it is said that only by herself, she equals a hundred troops! she’s a valuable asset in the military.”

“are you kidding me? they aren’t some random yahoos. they say just one of the garden’s soldiers can wipe out an entire military troop!”

urban legends: they are considered a myth in stories that are told.

the reactions stirred when they are mentioned. one soldier from their organizations are able to take out/be equivalent to an entire military troop.

their strongest soldiers: yor briar forger and mikasa ackerman.

mikasa and yor, will go through death lengths to protect their loved ones. yor had become a member of the assassins syndicate to protect her little brother, yuri. mikasa had joined the survey corps to protect eren and armin. the two had joined their respective groups to protect the only family they had left.

the veterans: levi ackerman and matthew mcmahon.

these two have been in the game much longer as told. levi is the last experienced veteran of the former survey corps to survive until the end. not much is known about matthew’s backstory however, but levi and matthew have been in this game far much longer. the two are experienced soldiers, with matthew being an implied one with old ideals. their ideals is to fight for their country, to fight for the survival of humanity.

the big bosses: kenny ackerman and shopkeeper.

the shopkeeper is known for heading the underground assassin organization, training yor (and possibly other assassins) to become contract killers for the world’s sake of a better place. kenny ackerman is the last ackerman in the family to know of the old history of the ackermans because of his grandfather. kenny’s grandfather on his deathbed told the reason why the clan had been persecuted.

those affiliated: the reiss royal family and the gretcher crime family.

the gretcher family (who were the former bosses in the underworld) had been strongly implied to be associated with the garden without any direct appearance. the shopkeeper had stated that he had owed a personal debt to the former boss of the gretcher family, and in order to repay it, he had send yor to guard olka and her son (the last remainders of the family) as the two escape the country.

the fritz/reiss royal family on the contrary, had the ackerman clan as the royal family’s right hand. they were a bloodline of warriors that protected eldia and it’s monarch. other than ymir fritz’s nine titans, the ackerman clan were said to be “titans in human form,” accidental experiments of the former eldian empire. the clan had endured the survival of eldians, but had turned their back on the 145th king’s ideals due to him wanting to erase the citizen’s memories with the founding titan.

I imagine if Jiang Cheng was Marleyan and sees the devastation Eren brought, he would want revenge and would be furious that Eren got off "easy". And if he talked to Levi, he would tell him he would never forgive Eren were he in his shoes - which is a lie. He knows it's a lie. If Wei Wuxian did what Eren had, while he would be betrayed and insanely hurt, he would forgive him. If not right away, eventually. Because of course he would, he loves Wei Wuxian so fucking much.

So he would get what Levi or Eren's friends would be feeling but he would lie to high hell about it.
