“When Winter Comes”
Acrylic on wood panel, 3.75 x 6.25”
I had two identical wood panels, so I did this one in addition to “Long-Tailed Winter Bird” (and named them both after Paul McCartney songs).
If you want to make it your own, send me a message!

Eeva, a triptych altarpiece, acrylic on wood panel
a piece about t4t, my love of transgender bodies and the holiness of transsexuality
its the biggest painting ive ever painted, around 1 m 40 cm wide (with the side pieces) and around 1 m 20 cm tall. i had to relearn carpentry to work the wood panels into the right shape & screw them together. i had a super tight schedule and nearing the deadline worked on this almost 24/7 but i had soooooo much fun!!!!!
some close ups ^

“Long-Tailed Winter Bird”
Acrylic on wood panel, 6.25 x 3.75”
Sold
Some painting experimentation during my winter break! I was inspired by an article on Liz Park that I read in Artists Magazine. In some of her work she uses only black and white paint, with the rest of the shapes made from the color of the wood.

Powerful Mixed-Media Carvings Speak to the Experiences of Black Womanhood
Baltimore-based artist LaToya Hobbs is presenting a series of recent woodblock prints and mixed-media portraits at Nashville's Frist Art Museum. The powerful pieces demonstrate how Hobbs deftly merges her printmaking and painting practices to create work that speaks to Black womanhood, family, labor, and self-care.
