They came from another universe through the Cardiff Rift, from another Rift that the parrot(?) bird man built(?) discovered(?) summoned(?)

They are the same species, despite looking very different from one another... Their biology is functionally code (flesh) and flesh (code).

They mention things such as servers and seasons? They believe our universe is a "modded" server.

Their Day-Night Cycle lasts 20 minutes maximum, less so because "sleeping" for them is set to skip the entire night. (What are ticks?)

Joe Hills, allegedly from Nashville, Tennessee, is your best bet for information. (In the end, there wont be any cleae answers)

They normally trade with real diamonds, and occasionally emeralds and IOUs (Warning: Do not ask for an IOU, may result in pranks)

9. they all look different, but are the same species, but some of them can use their other features while others cant or shouldnt. mr hills has said that dr m is a creature called a creeper but cannot explode as a normal creeper would. no one has offered an explanation on how dr m can be both a "player" and a "creeper"

10. while monitoring the hermits conversations it's been noted that they may follow some type of religion that includes an "end poem". details are not available other than this is the source of the decided species designation of "player"

11. bdoubleo has asked if there are no phantoms in this universe, upon asking for clarification regarding if he meant something like ghosts he seemed relieved and continued speaking generally about the hostile nature of their universe's nights without describing these phantom creatures

12. redstone = dangerous, dr m's prosthetic arm had to be confiscated and replaced with local technology due to structural damage to unit facilities

12a. redstone apparently tastes radioactive, this according to the visiting first unit scientific adviser

13. all hermits express confusion and some degree of concern at the notion of earth being round and with a limited physical space (lacking further information)

14. mr tango tek claims to have achieved space flight and landed on the "season 8 moon" (????)

15. ren "the dog" (unclear if sub species designation or name??) claims that that only happened in a simulation and wasnt real

16. several hermits have agreed with an unaccredited statement that "the moon technically landed on us" with various levels of humour (further observation required) (request to talk with mr hills about what seasons are and ask about the deal with the moon) (at least they have... had? a moon)

I'm having Nod thoughts again:

Do you think Caine remembers how things really were?

He's doomed to walk the Earth eternally, lest he accept his actions as wrong and genuinely seek repentance for it, but how clearly do you think he remembers in Modern Nights? To my knowledge, I don't think it's ever explicitly implied or stated that he'd be exempt from the fact that memory is a fickle thing at the best of times, which is to say nothing for folks as long lived as the Cainites.

How much of what isn't muddied and blurred by emotion can he truly recall? Do you think he remembers the way Abel's face lit up when they'd joke around like brothers are want to do? The proud looks he must've gotten from Eve when he'd taken up gardening? The grief-stricken look Adam gave him before exiling him to the lands of Nod?

This is, of course, to say nothing of his time in Enoch and the squabbles his Grand-Childer got themselves into in the First City.

How can one truly, genuinely, repent if you can't even properly remember parse the events that have got you here in the first place after a certain amount of time has passed? A swirling miasma of emotions and trauma mudding the waters, diluting any chance at reconciliation. God In the WoD was never portrayed as infallible - [His] laundry list of fucks ups and overwhelming displays of neglect being more than enough to back up that point - but the more you delve into it, Caine's punishment seems more and more like an afterthought for something that had as many ramifications as it did. He never had a real shot at redemption, no matter how many emissaries [He] sent. Something something "the game was rigged from the start" something something
