Summary:

It had been five years since Sara last saw Alex when she received the wedding invitation. It had been sitting on Sara’s desk for two days now. She hadn’t opened yet but it was a wedding invitation – it was too fancy to be anything else. It was fancier than she ever expected Alex’s wedding invitation to be (and she'd be lying if she said she never imagined it would be her wedding invitation as well). It got her wondering how much Alex had changed in five years. Five years. She couldn’t have changed that much. What were five years when Sara knew her all her life?

It's been five years since Sara and Alex parted ways. No one knows exactly what happen. Then Sara receives Alex's wedding invitation.

You sent me this a month ago, I’m so sorry lol. I LOVE this prompt though.

With Alex and Sara still figuring out the logistics of their relationship, they had to compromise on where they spent their time. For now, the Legends were in a bit of trouble, so Sara had to be on the Waverider to keep them in check. So, Alex would spend every other month on the time ship, then spent the rest of her time back home in National City. 

The Legends loved having Alex around, but they definitely didn’t appreciate how affectionate the two of them where after a month apart.

“You’re so adorable...” Alex grinned, wiping a piece of stray breakfast from Sara’s mouth. 

“Excuse me, badass Sara Lance is not adorable.” Sara protested, but had a sweet smile on her face. 

There was a dramatic sigh from across the room as Zari entered to get some food of her own. “Are you two ever gonna stop being obnoxious?”

“We’re not obnoxious, Zari.” Sara rolled her eyes with a chuckle. 

“You are. You are never apart, you’re always being super affectionate, and I’m pretty sure I could hear you two getting it on after our last mission.” 

Alex put up her hands in surrender. “In my defense, Sara almost died and we felt the need to be together in order to cope.” 

“That’s sweet, but absolutely sickening.” Zari muttered and grabbed her plate of food as soon as she could so that she could hurry out of the room.

A week later, Alex and Sara learned their lesson. It had been a particularly long week and the two of them were eager for some alone time. So eager, in fact, that they forgot to ensure they wouldn’t get interrupted. 

The two of them stumbled into Sara’s bedroom, barely remembering to shut the door, they were so focused on kissing each other. They got to the bed and were starting to undress, when the door suddenly opened.

“Oh, my god!” Came Nate’s voice, followed by the slamming of the door. Alex and Sara looked at each other. Alex’s cheeks were turning red. Sara quickly got out of bed and put her shirt back on before going to find Nate. 

“My eyes are burning.” He muttered when he saw her approaching. “Jeez, lock the door. At least lock the door.” 

“Did you need something, Nate?” Sara asked, raising an eyebrow. 

“I wanted to include you on the post-mission debrief. Gideon said you were in your room and didn’t stop me from entering, so...” 

“We’ll lock the door next time.” She promised, slightly amused by the fact that Nate couldn’t seem to look her in the eyes.

“You’d better...”

something for us to think about

I wanna cry ‘cause I’m so sad I don’t have the enthusiasm to watch Supergirl anymore.

I thought it was because of the show itself, but I just realized, it was about the spread of toxic and hate comments of the fans in the fandom.

What triggered me to post and call this out, was this certain post (I wouldn’t say who or where the link is) about HATE FOR WILLIAM DEY. It was a long review of the show, and this hate comment just blended right through the length. The post just said HOW THE SHOW DOESN’T PROMOTE FEMINISM ANYMORE just because William is getting screen time. Really, that’s basically what the post said.

I can’t actually believe what I was reading!

What the sorcery is that?!

FIRST, Feminism is about equality. EQUALITY! NOT, and NEVER WILL BE, about elimination of MEN.

It’s so disappointing because

this type of posts DEVALUES THE FIGHT OUR FOREMOTHERS RISKED THEIR LIVES FOR.

Second, all these uncalled hate and toxic comments/posts RUIN the show for the positive fans who has been inspired, empowered, and uplifted by Supergirl.

Yeah, one can just say “then don’t fucking read it if it affects you that much!”

You can’t say that! This cancels the BEAUTY OF FANDOM. We’re here to APPRECIATE the show we love, and give CONSTRUCTIVE feedbacks and concerns. Fandom offers sense of belonging and acceptance to everyone.

Please stop ruining Supergirl or any other show and fandom with your useless and destructive comments and posts. Turn them instead into encouraging and CONSTRUCTIVE comments.

Y’all love coffee related prompts, don’t you? I’m not judging, I love a good coffee shop au. :)

It was no secret that Alex Danvers loved coffee. She got it every morning from the same small coffee shop by her apartment. It was a little more expensive than most places, but she didn’t mind. The coffee tasted better and she just wanted an excuse to see the one and only Sara Lance. Sara was a barista at the shop and the two had worked up a banter over the eleven months that Alex had been a frequent customer.

Alex had the biggest crush on Sara. And everyone knew it. She was gorgeous, for one thing, but her personality made her even more so. She was a kind young woman, but had a sarcastic wit that left just about everyone swooning. The best part about her, Alex thought, was her “take no shit” attitude. She paid no attention to those who didn’t treat her like an equal. And, she always seemed to have a friendly smile for Alex. 

“What can I get for you today, Danvers?” Sara asked as Alex walked in one morning. “Wait, let me guess... Black coffee? Large?” 

The redhead raised an eyebrow at her. “How’d you know?”

“You’ve been coming here for almost a year, I know your moods. You’re very easy to read.”

“Is that so? Then what mood am I in today?”

Sara looked her over as she got the drink for her. “Angry. Frustrated. Nervous. Also, very tired.”

“Wow. You’re good.” Alex chuckled, fidgeting with her sweater. That must’ve been what tipped Sara off about her nerves.  Sara set the coffee down in front of her a moment later. 

“Alright, what’s on our mind?”

“Sara, there are customers waiting.”

“And? There’s like four other baristas working right now. They’ll survive. Now, speak. You look like you want to.”

Alex nodded, a little too eagerly. “Right. Okay. Well, we’ve known each other for almost a year now, right? Well, I was thinking and...” 

“And...?” Sara asked with an amused smile. It was hard to pretend that she didn’t know exactly what this was about.

Alex took a deep breath and blurted out, “Would you go on a date with me? I mean, it doesn’t have to be a date, we can just hang out--”

“Danvers, breathe.” Sara chuckled softly. “Yes, I’d love to go on a date with you. I’ve been waiting for you to ask, honestly?”

“You have?” Alex blinked. “Why didn’t you ask me first, then? Would’ve put me out of my misery.”

“You seemed nervous. I didn’t want to pressure you or anything.” She shrugged. 

“That’s... really, thoughtful, actually.” Alex noted. 

Sara just smiled. “Just text me tonight and we’ll set a date up.”

“I don’t have your number.”

“Yeah, you do.” She nodded towards Alex’s coffee cup, where she’d written her number. Alex grinned. 

“Well. That’s adorable.” She blushed. “I’ll text you later, then.” 

The two went on a date the next weekend. It was just a casual date to an arcade nearby. It was the most fun either of them had in weeks. Who knew that a romance could start in a local coffee shop?
