Standing before the map of the United States, which is where the apocalypse is centered, Akiva monitors the growth of the nests around the Phoenix Society HQ. Colorado? Really?

"Hello, my little flower," Gaia coos as she approaches Akiva. "How are the nests in Colorado coming along?"

"Well," Akiva replies, "The ones furthest from the Phoenix Society headquarters are growing at a steady rate, but the closer to the HQ the nests are, the slower and more irregular the growth rates become. I believe it is due to Lucia's presence."

"The Catalyst is slowing down the growth rates? How ironic."

Do you guys remember these fillable art memes from deviantart? Well, when they were popular I only did a couple of them cuz I tought that, once done, you couldn't do it again...

I promised my tween self that I would do MANY of them when my art was good enough; and the time has come to do this one.

This is fanart of one the first YA books I read. 9 years ago I didn't own a drawing tablet so I used to draw on paper, scan it on a ciber-café near my house, make the lineart with vectors on photoshop (Wow, I was so patient back in the day) and use free stocks and brushes from Deviantart... Man, time flies doesn't it?
