     sylmae's backstory takes a modern twist. still born out of the flesh of the murder lord. sylmae was raised by her adopted family in upstate new york. she grew up normally, having friends at school and being one of the more popular kids due to her good looking appearance. sylmae first succumbed to the urge when she was seventeen, killing her family and the friends she once held dear.

     the cult of bhaal resided only two miles from where sylmae grew up. her father's temple resided in a deep cavern, hidden away from the public eye. sylmae quickly rose through the cult's rank. the cult members began to worship the bhaal spawn, sparking an uncontrollable flame of jealousy within her blood kin. orin the red stabbed sylmae late in the night; her daggers pierced into the brunette's skull to pry open her brain matter. instead of killing her sister, orin inserted a parasite. sylmae became the very first of her kind. a true soul.

     if she didn't search for a cure, she was destined to turn into a tentacled beast and be under the control by the false god she created with her ex-partner, enver gortash.

     captured in her slayer form by the umbrella corporation; sylmae met @uro6oros when she finally came to her senses. albert wesker offered a deal that she couldn't refuse. sanctuary and a search for a cure for her memory loss, all for the price of using her abilities to his own disposal.

     sylmae was not around for the events of resident evil 2. upon reading the file that enlisted the mass destruction, sylmae became interested in forming a partnership with albert wesker. she felt as if he was capable of bringing her father's wish for mass extinction to life. her interest lies solely within wesker, not the umbrella corporation itself.

     the slayer form is often deployed rather than her human form. depending on the mission, sylmae enjoys teasing her target by toying with them in her human form.

Anyone else have the experience of strong, post-kin feelings?

This is not the first time this has happened to me, but I know throughout my life I did not feel that way towards Birkin. Friends, the only true friend I ever had, but nothing more. I'd dare to say I never felt that way with even Jake's mother, with whom I am fairly confident Jake did not happen.

But I think about William now in ways uncharacteristic of who I was then. I think of him like a lover, and I am left to mourn the fact that we never were, that I never felt that way for him when we were alive. To mourn that which never could have been.

It's worse than knowing I never told him; that I rather never felt those things to begin with, an ensured impossibility that robs me of the chance to find comfort.

William Birkin, you now occupy my heart and my thoughts more than ever. I think about you far too fondly. /t
