This is Alisen Down.

In addition to being an incredible actor and timeless beauty, it is her voice that makes her truly stand out among her peers. And what can I say of it?, except that it is of a tonal quality that all the very best dreams are made of. Seriously. It is that amazing. I mean, simply listening to this fabulous woman speak is enough to make my ears tingle with inexplicable happiness. I love it so much, in fact, that I would literally listen to her read me an encyclopedia. Come to think of it, she could pretty much read anything to me and I would be in aural heaven.

*Sigh* I just want to bask in the glorious, smooth, hushed warmth of her unmistakably unique, utterly soothing intonations as I drift off into a blissful slumber.

I have to wonder if she gets a lot of this specific brand of eccentric attention at Cons. 'Cause I can totally see it happening. Like people asking her to record answering machine messages and shit for them, just cause her voice might very well be the vocal epitome of femininity. If this happens to you at all, Alisen, I'm so sorry! That said, if I wasn't socially bass ackwards, I would probably be one of the weirdos doing so. Sorry for that, too!

P.S. Okay! So yep, I am currently rewatching 12 Monkeys (one of my top 10 shows of all time) and falling in love all over again.

P.S.2! Does anyone know if she has done any work for audio books? If so please let me know. Not that I am obsessed or anything....
