The recruiters name also came up as a border patrol agent for customs and homeland security. Sanctuary city blues. The job category of a Communications Specialist was presented as someone who needed to be comfortable in a deadline-driven workplace with many priorities. For this description, the phrase “roll up one’s sleeves and get work done” was mentioned (amazon.jobs). Along with the promise of further development, Amazon also offered applicants leadership paths and robust benefits (amazon.jobs, indeed.com).

Employee reviews from Glassdoor.com based on this position did confirm that Amazon has an incredibly fast climate where one can take on much responsibility. Making career changes within the company was considered to be easy, but only if one could adapt quickly and develop fortitude. The bottom line seemed to be that management was not stepping up to be accountable for the personal and professional growth of Amazon’s employees. Workers were ultimately viewed as resources, rather than people (glassdoor.com).
