I DID IT EAT SHIT YOU...YOU... UGH I can't hate him fully, but battle with him is annoying and rather tricky. For now I consider him a second hard boss in game (the fisrt is Chronos ofc)
He and Chronos both have nasty OP moves and a little window for dodge from them. Prometheus in that matter nastier than sandy old man cause you not just have to react quick but also memorize pattern of his strongest attack. Plus, if i recal correcly he do not have moves that track you. I do not know how you supose to be survive him without blocking his attack or having a big ammount of health. And full dd intact ofc, with help of knuckles or tooth on your side
My build. Xinth of Selene with weak + blitz. Aphro is still very strong and her combo with Zeuses's blitz is crazy and fast way to deal a LOTTA DAMAGE.
#hades 2#hades ii#hades 2 spoilers#new hades update screams#it feels like my first time beating chronos#I did it but idk how I survived with UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF HEALTH#Thanks Dio#And at this point Chronos fight seems easier to navigate#Yeah he's fears and unforgiving but manageble#Prometheus is so fucking fast I can't track his moves properly and do not understand what attack he's performing now#Most of the time#Well I figure him out eventually#I HOPE SO

A Taste of Eternity
Chronos x Gender neutral reader
You are a member of the resistance who got lost in Erebus. You cross paths with the enemy. You never stood a chance.
Warnings: Accidental apple of sin symbolism, manipulation/ enthrallment.
The forest of Erebus was a dangerous place if you didn't know where you were going or what you were doing. Lucky for you, the witch of the crossroads made sure to teach all those who joined her how to properly navigate it, or at least as much as they could, considering some were mortal and all. That included you, of course. So, you planned to avoid conflict by hiding in the shadows and following the markers of the forest to find your way despite the ever-changing passageways it contained.
You had been scavenging, wanting to help the camp. Eating the river denizens of the underworld, onions, pomegranates, and such was nice and all, but you were craving variety, and it's not like you had anything better to do. Like many others, at first, you had chosen to simply stay where it was safe. Despite the skills taught to you at the resistance camp, mortals were never required to do anything. They gave them space to feel safe, secure, and to fight or cooperate with the crossroads at their own leisure. Perhaps that's why you felt eager to do your part, despite not knowing many in the crossroads.
This wasn't the first time you left the crossroads, which made you slightly braver. You dared to go deeper, to walk away from the marked paths, sure you could return to them if you were careful enough. But of course, at some point, you got lost. You didn't panic, since you were sure you’d find a marker that would help you return to the camp soon enough. And at the very least, going off the path was helping you find much more food than before! Your little basket was full of mushrooms, ones you were sure were edible. Your mouth watered thinking of what could be cooked with them, granting you a distraction from what you were sure would be a short time being lost in these woods.
You were surprised, however, when you found yourself at the edge of Erebus. Surely this couldn't be… you couldn't have gotten that lost, could you? You walked, trying to find some hidden markers to find your way back, when you felt it.
A shiver goes down your spine, the hair on your arms standing up. You felt watched. The air around you seemed uncannily still. You went still as well.
You flinched when you heard a laugh. Turning slowly to face it, you let go of your basket, its contents spilling to the floor. It was as if his aura had hit you all at once. The air seemed oppressive, gravity around you almost heavier. You locked eyes with the tall figure before you. A titan. The titan.
You feel dizzy. Surely this must be a nightmare, how could you, a simple mortal, have crossed paths with the enemy? The titan, Chronos, laughed again, keeping his distance, his body partially in the shadows, only his glowing eyes going through the darkness.
“My, my. What do we have here?” he says, his voice smooth, chilling, powerful. He doesn't move, content to see you from his spot. “A mortal… all alone, in this dangerous land? Tsk, tsk. You should not be wandering alone.” He said almost casually, though you could feel an air of condescension in his voice. “What are you doing in Erebus, little one?” He asked, his voice sounding almost kind.
There was a long silence. You weren't sure if you should humor him with this idle talk. But… You knew you couldn't simply ignore him. You had no power here. Any show of defiance would be wasted. You had nothing to prove, nothing to accomplish by doing so.
Nervously, you simply tell him you were scavenging for food. Nothing more. Your eyes darted down to your dropped basket, away from those eyes. It made it easier to breathe. You tried to act casual, hoping the titan wouldn't waste his time harming you. After all, you were but one mortal. Your presence was insignificant. Whether or not you returned to the resistance didn't make a difference, especially for him.
So, despite your fear, you knelt, trying to suppress the way your hands shook as you picked up each mushroom slowly.
You could hear him hum. “I see. You mortals always stick to your routines, don't you? How cute.” He commented. He watched you in silence as you finished gathering the mushrooms before speaking again. “You must have spent too long out in these woods, little one. You look disheveled… and very hungry.” As he said this, you realise your stomach was empty, your mouth dry… How come you hadn't noticed your hunger and thirst before he mentioned it? Were you truly that distracted, or was the titan manipulating you somehow?
The titan smiles as you lick your lips with thirst. “You poor thing.” He says. You stare in awe as he raises his hand, watching it glow, suddenly summoning an apple from thin air
You couldn't look away. The apple seemed...perfect...almost too perfect. You tried to shake your head and break from whatever spell you seemed to be falling under, but your eyes kept returning to the apple. Your mouth watered at the thought of how it'd taste. Tangy...sweet...and so juicy- You shook your head again. You can't be this enthralled by a damn fruit! But… everything in your being was begging to have a taste of it.
With a kind smile, he tosses it your way. “Here. Take it as… a show of my generosity.” He says. It falls slowly, landing gently, perfectly in your hands.
You tell yourself no. You tell yourself you can't possibly accept this, but as you try to resist, you feel your hand raise the apple to your lips. Despite your efforts, you sink your teeth into the flesh and—Your entire body shivers.
You never thought you could get a taste of pure perfection out of a fruit. The apple was all you ever wanted and more. It tasted better than anything you've ever eaten. You hummed in satisfaction as you took another bite, the world around you disappearing as all you cared for was this apple, your hunger and thirst being blissfully sated with each bite and gulp. Before you knew it, you had eaten the whole thing, eating even the core, absentmindedly licking your hands and fingers, trying to enjoy every last taste of it.
When you realise what you’re doing, you stop, your face warm with shame. This definitely wasn't good. Not only did you accept his gift, but you lowered your guard enough for him to have changed position, now his body half in the light. He had what looked like golden scars littering his body, now glimmering as the light of the moon reflected off of them. He looked so… composed. So dignified. His hair was combed, he wore little clothes other than the adorned cloths that covered his hips and upper legs, letting his dark skin show off his physique, making him radiate simple elegance. He had taken a seat, too, a tree stump holding his weight as he regarded you with a satisfied look in his eyes. “Was it good?” He asks, still smiling.
Your answer is caught in your throat as he produces another apple, just as perfect as the last. This time, he extends his hand. “Have another, then. My treat.” He says, his voice full of promise and a kindness you were beginning to believe. Surely… taking a second apple wasn't a bad idea. You already took the first one, so what was the big deal? You find yourself taking a step towards him, then another, and then another. He doesn't let go of the apple as your hands grab it, your hands tingling where your fingers brush his. You lean in and take a bite. Chronos pulls it back, pulling you along with it. Each bite brings you closer to him, guided like a horse with a carrot. He raises it too, forcing you to let go of the apple and his hands. You weren't thinking as you climbed into his lap, using your hands to hold on to him as you reached the apple again, obediently eating it off the palm of his hand. It simply tasted so good… so sweet… so… so perfect. Just like before, you don't stop even when the core is gone, licking his fingers clean, making him chuckle.
“Good… good mortal….” he praises, his other hand coming to trail your spine, making you shiver in delight. Your mind feels foggy. A part of you knows this is wrong, but that part is quiet. Too quiet. Chronos is merciless. His hand summons another. This time, he raises it to his lips, holding your gaze as he takes a bite.. Your knees shake as you lean towards him, compelled to taste his lips as he swallows the sweet fruit.
The moment your lips touch his, it's like something in you snaps, a switch is turned, something is changed. Your pleasure is no longer about the apple. It is about him. It feels like a revelation. It wasn't the apple that was so perfect and good and divine and utterly irresistible. It was him. Those lips were simply wonderful. You forget all about the apple, your small mortal form getting bathed in its essence, having a taste of the eternal, of the divine. You never want this moment to pass. His hands are on you, his possessiveness making you feel pure bliss. The kiss is gentle, his lips slowly moving against your own, letting you savor the moment as long as you wished. When you pull back, you feel enlightened. He- he was exactly all you ever wanted. All you ever needed. He smiled triumphantly at you, still on his lap, utterly enthralled by him.
“Isn't this better? No god will ever pamper you the way I will, little one.” He says, as he tightens his arms around you, picking you up. “Let's go where you truly belong, shall we?” He asks, beginning to carry you off. You are very happy to agree. “Welcome to the golden age… my little mortal.” He says, as you both disappear in a flash of light, your forgotten and abandoned basket the only proof you were ever there.
