Sobre o rio na cheia grande,
no vento largo e profundo
sob o céu interminável, par
com par, as andorinhas de novo,
com terna exatidão,
executam sua linha
em arcos traçados no ar,
tão logo feitos, não estão.
— Wendell Berry, sabático I de 1984. Publicado em “A timbered choir: the sabbath poems 1979-1997”. Tradução da casa.

Ainda no outro dia havia neve na serra. Houve durante uns dias. Agora em vez de neve vejo andorinhas. Hoje vi a primeira andorinha do ano.

- Conta-me o teu sonho.

I was thinking about the meaning of the ever presense of swallows in portuguese art. And then it hit me, swallows come back every year to the same nests -Their family home
In a country of sailors, explores and imigrants, the birds that every year fill Portugal's sky when they make their return to their family homes, unknownly fill the portuguese people's hearts of hope, that their loved ones, will also find their way home.
