Solide Geschichte. Gibt mehrere Lacher. Spannend erzählt. Interessante Aspekte. Bob wird entführt. Motiv etwas zu simpel für meinen Geschmack.
Am Anfang ist einmal die Satzreihenfolge seltsam. Zusammengesetzte Substantive unnötig durch Minuszeichen getrennt, statt zusammen geschrieben, z. B. :

i was tagged by alia @nevergoesout to do this picrew and talk about my interests <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ literally what i look like and dress like. the cat beside me is clara. real life clara for size.
hmmm my interests... i am very much interested in onomastics, which is the study of proper names. i am especially interested in given names. nothing delights me like when a country releases annual popularity lists of given names. there is nothing as exciting as seeing a name rise or plummet in popularity.
and the etymology of given names is so interesting to me too. like do you guys know about names invented in the ussr and used by communist parents.... like marlena used not as a contraction of maria magdalena but as a combination of marx and lenin. or damir, which, as well as being a distinct kazakh and tatar name with turkic or arabic roots was used as an acronym for a russian phrase meaning "bring on the world revolution"...
it is also very beautiful to me when unrelated or very distantly related languages and cultures end up having very similar sounding names. like soraya (persian) and sariah (mormon). or naomi which is used in hebrew and japanese but obviously has completely distinct etymologies. it fascinates me so much. and how certain names are introduced into certain cultures or how existing names are used to translate foreign names...
in the last year or so, i have gotten really into perfume. and as the weather is getting cooler, i stray from my refreshing loves like the below:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(jardin exclusif by mancera + every storm a serenade by imaginary authors)
into warmer, more comforting, gourmand ones. i recently tried lune feline and i'm in love it's so perfect... and i just finished my sample of whiff of waffle cone so i am crying myself to sleep... it's sweet but also has a smoky, slightly burnt note that i love so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(lune féline by atelier des ors + whiff of waffle cone by imaginary authors)
i have recently finished reading war and peace 🕊️ which was recommended to me by @lesbianaglaya and ADORED it. i will be thinking about prince andré forever. it's such a wonderful, rich, sumptuous book that i would recommend to everyone wholeheartedly.
aside from that i have been reading so much fiction recently and barely any nonfiction so i have decided to dive head-deep into sartre's being and nothingness. i am embarrassed to say i understand very little of it </3

Feuermond by André Marx is a fourteen year old book and it is by FAR the most academia case out of all these mf cases and it is a CRIME, yes I said it, a CRIME that it has never been made into a movie like wtf more do u want than an iconic teenage trio, two dead & depressed famous painters with a big secret and the legend about a mysterious painting that for some reason does not interest the greatest art thief of all time - who, obviously, is french - for the money but because he wants to destroy it with his own hands??? Not to mention that the teenage boy and the art thief are weirdly obsessed w each other? And we have explosions and camping and 3d puzzles btw

René Lefèvre and Annabella in Le Million (René Clair, 1931)
Cast: Annabella, René Lefèvre, Jean-Louis Allibert, Paul Ollivier, Constantin Siroesco, Vanda Gréville, Odette Talazac, Pedro Elviro, Jane Pierson, André Michaud, Eugène Stuber, Pierre Alcover, Armand Bernard. Screenplay: René Clair, based on a play by Georges Berr and Marcel Guillemaud. Cinematography: Georges Périnal. Art direction: Lazare Meerson. Music: Armand Bernard, Philippe Parès, Georges Van Parys.
The French do wonderful things with air. They invented the soufflé and Champagne, and the Montgolfier brothers mastered the art of ballooning. And no French director had a greater gift for buoyancy than René Clair, whose mastery of pacing keeps even the most cockamamie of stories from collapsing, going flat, or crashing to Earth. Le Million is the quintessential Clair film, a musical farce that inspired countless movies, some of which don't always stay aloft. You can see the lineaments of the Marx Brothers' A Night at the Opera (Sam Wood, 1935) in it as well as Jacques Demy's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967). The story is much ado about a lottery ticket left in an old jacket owned by a young artist (René Lefèvre) with a mountain of debts, and it carries us from his studio to the jail to backstage at the opera and back again, sometimes journeying over the rooftops of Paris, all of which are embodied not by the real things but by Lazare Meerson's evocative sets. The music is pretty but forgettable, which is really all you need it to be.

André Lurçat a déjà travaillé à Villejuif.

Ahmed Sékou Touré (var. Sheku Turay or Ture; (January 9, 1922 – March 26, 1984) was a Guinean political leader and African statesman who became the first president of Guinea, serving from 1958 until his death. He was among the primary Guinean nationalists involved in gaining independence of the country from France. A devout Muslim from the Mandinka ethnic group, he was the great-grandson of the powerful Mandinka Muslim cleric Samori Ture who established an independent Islamic rule in part of West Africa. In 1960, he declared his Democratic Party of Guinea the only legal party in the state and ruled from then on as a virtual dictator. He was re-elected unopposed to four seven-year terms in the absence of any legal opposition. Under his rule, many people were killed, including at the notorious Camp Boiro. He was born into a Muslim family in Faranah, French Guinea. He was one of seven children born to Alpha Touré and Aminata Touré, who were subsistence farmers. He was an aristocratic member of the Mandinka ethnic group. He attended the École Coranique in his hometown a French lower-primary school in Kankan. He was enrolled in the Georges Poiret Technical College in Conakry but was expelled less than a year later for leading a student protest against the quality of food and became involved in labor union activity. He studied the works of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, among others. He obtained a clerk's position with the Compagnie du Niger Français while working to complete an examination course, which would allow him to join the Post, Telegraph, and Telecommunications services (French: Postes. He went on to work for the PTT as a postal clerk in Conakry. He formed connections with the French General Confederation of Labour, a communist-dominated French labor organization. He married Binetou Touré (1944–1947), he married Marie N'Daw (1947–1952), and he married Andrée Touré (1953–1984).
