For Ansuz yesterday but I didnt have enough time to finish it yesterday. As Ive been learning the runes ive come to view the two ravens Huginn and Muninn as a link and means of communication to the gods.

When Ansuz awoke after being called upon by Luana, all she remembered was the countless times she’d woken up before. All the countless times, she’d been called upon by Mika. All the countless times Chaos came back with a vengeance, ravaging all of Loria.

Nothing else of her past remained in this moment - not of past lives, not even this one. There was no remainder of what had been just yesterday and there was no question in her mind about it either. There was only Mika’s voice, over and over, then Chaos. Destruction. Death. And suddenly that unfamiliar voice, with a very familiar request.

She felt dizzy, like waking from a dream that had lasted far too long - but it was not. She was sure of that much. It did not matter what had been in the past. Not days ago. Not lives ago. Did not matter where she came from, who her family were, did not matter why she awoke alone in a secluded part of Darkspine, her fur damp and her body heavy. It only mattered where she had to go.

So she stood up, shook her numb figure once, and started walking.

The way to Murkwood was long, but Darkspine was familiar and treading in the shadows a craft Ansuz had already mastered in other lives. The memories were faint and fragile in her mind, but strong in her muscles and bones, guided by an instinct that persisted even when so much else was gone.
