What's a cool fact you know that you wish you could tell more people about?

In the overdump files for a discovered F-Zero GX beta development cartridge they found early Ocarina of Time development assets including map data that never made it into the final game.

What’s interesting about these textures on the tent here is that this is technically the first recorded instance of Gerudo typography being translateable into actual words, albeit in Japanese. (it would be until Breath of the Wild for this to happen again). The text at the top here says "MUBYOUSOSKI" or more likely "Mubyō sokusai / 無病息災" which essentially means "Good health" and serves as a medical tent. The text below says "SUNA OMINZOKU" or "Suna no Minzoku / 砂の民族" which means "Sand Tribe"

This one here I originally transcribed as ""DINN NO GOKAGO GA ARIMASU YOU NI" is more likely "Din no mikago ga arimasu yō ni / ディンの御加護がありますように" which loosely translates to "May Din's blessing be with you." which all suggests that the Gerudo initially worshipped Din as their goddess. (the text at the bottom just repeats "TYPOGRAPHY GALDOS" which is the name of the script)

The one at the top here says "KOUTUANZAN" or "Kōtsū anzen / 交通安全" which means "traffic safety" or something along those lines, likely some form of road patrol.

When the overdump initially released I was the one who recognized the script and transcribed it finding that it said actual words, the translations were done by other Twitter users but knowledge of all of this I don't believe to be very widespread since I don't have a platform and it's already a very small niche group of people who are even interested in it or would know about it. This is something I'd love for more people to know about because it gives you a better impression of how the Gerudo were in early stages of development and how although Gerudo script made it into the final game and subsequent releases, upon transcribing them it yields nothing but gibberish aside from these unused assets all the way up until Breath of the Wild's release.

There are several types of beings in the world of Hikko: Dreamers, Crusaders, Whispers, Nighterrors and Phobias.

Dreamers!!

Dreamers are powerful beings able to use their emotions to their fullest and throw out powerful attacks and have a strong emotional connection.

Example; Maris strongest emotion is her general compassion and love that softens all around her. She's able sooth even the boldest of Dreamers and evilest Nighterrors. Note Dreamers themselves originate from Lost Playground. The village and home where Omori and friends live.

Crusaders

Crusaders are Dreamers that are chosen to protect Dreamscape from Phobias and Enigmas.

Nighterrors

Nighterrors were once Dreamers, however whose powers are bulit through a selfish need or desire. Sometimes the desire itself isn't selfish but harms others around them in the process.

They are considered the most deadly beings in the Dreamworld and for good reason. Sweetheart being our special example.

Whispers and Enigmas

Whispers and Enigma are beings from the realm of Whitespace and Blackspace. Whispers are seen as mostly enemies despite their human like nature. Two examples of Whispers are Omori and Anzen. Whispers usually hold strange abilites separate from their emotions and solely based their outlook or profession.

Similar to Whispers, Enigmas-- (hence Hikko) are shunned and despised. A fact about Enigma is they were made to soley torment dreamers, made by Stranger himself.

Phobias

Monsters that plague Blackspace and White Haven. They were once dreamers themselves that were taken over by their fears and terrors. Turning them into beings based off that fact. They remember they're old life and look back fondly but due to the negative impact they now suffer alone.
