If your favorite contains backing vocals, go with whatever feels right in terms of 'they are just as important as the main vocalist' or 'they are functionally another backing instrument like the guitarist or drummer.'

I know that the musicians are in fact just as important as the vocalist (obvious example: the guitar solos in classic rock, like Queen), but hopefully you get what I'm going for here.

Y'all didn't get THIS statistic from your stupid Spotify, did ya?

Fun idea I had to add this information to my database record of everything I've listened to. Got reminded that Google Sheet's tools for graphs are dogshit (I don't have Microsoft Office anymore).

The pie chart is actually showing the total DURATION I spent listening to songs in each category. Male is a little bit over-estimated because I absolutely could not be arsed to go through and label every single Gorillaz song differently based on what collaborators were singing on them. Also, the % nonbinary is literally JUST Kae Tempest lol I love them

I genuinely think this level of male bias is caused by the music industry instead of my own taste btw, it could be a lot worse
