#rambles #hades 2 #if it doesn't get nerfed i will be shocked #realistically they should probably nerf it. but also i really hope they dont. i love that shit so much.#a cool 700+ aoe damage in ~4s if you get the added vent damage just for sprinting by an enemy? absolutely delicious #anyway good to see theyre looking at tweaking movement and resource gathering specifically #movement doesnt feel bad per se but ive noticed more cases of me being completely screwed bc i cant dash again in this game vs hades 1 #which is obviously going to happen more often just bc you cant chain dashes in this game #and theres something to be said for that as an intentional design choice since it makes you be more careful with your movement #but there are definitely attacks that feel more difficult to dodge than they should be with how dash/sprint work now #and better resource gathering would be great bc i am getting my ass kicked by driftwood

All of my annoyance with Rolan over the course of BG3 evaporated instantly when he saved my party's sorry asses from Lorroakan by shoving him over the railing during the fight to protect Nightsong, instantly taking half his health and knocking him prone

#i was so ready for him to be useless. he got hit really bad in the first round and i had to use a counterspell to save him in the next #but my party was busy getting annihilated by mermidons and AoE spells #fucking ROLAN coming in clutch with a wizardly shove action that gave my rogue sneak attack access #and then i just had karlach and wyll throw daggers at lorroakan over the railing #i was so sure i was gonna lose #i dunno if ive ever been so impressed with/pleasantly surprised by an NPC #bg3 #bg3 spoilers #baldurs gate 3 #baldurs gate 3 spoilers #original shit

seriously considering wiping my last like 10 hours of gameplay to restart the shadowlands bc of how mad i am at this moonrise bs

#bg3 spoilers #im going in with the harpers and ive tried the fight like 6 separate times #but im bling. cant misty step out. cant use my aoes. cant dispell the darkness with sunlight. cant hit a damn thing #cant magic missile cant use my bonus actions cant fly while i have my potion of flying #i had already beaten it too! and then the harpers went aggro and i had to reload!#i have fun with hard fights if theres more strategy but idk. maybe im just stupid!!#but when i try to go around and look for alternate areas of entry my ass keeps getting blasted with radiant damage??#i kind of want to see what the underdark route has in store but im worried im gonna miss out on the character stuff if i do that #ill try it again later but ugh. im buffed out the ass with potions and equipment and i still cant walk 5 feet ahead. its not fun #ramblings #mina plays bg3

Okay, so... I'm... I just realized. The reason why the King is weak towards paper type attacks is that... he's a rock type (cuz his hands! were doing the rock sign!). I'm bad at the battle mechanics, embarrassingly so.

#aria rants #yaknow that feeling of: oh i got this. ive gone through so many battles i know my ropes. but i proceeded to fail at figuring #out the mini boss two sadnesses' types for the longest time and now i only just realized the king's typing...#for the two sadnesses and during the king's fight i was like: okay. what are they weak and resistant to? ...aoe time #cuz i-- i forgor that wtv their hands were doing. its what their type is. for the two sadnesses (i realized their type mid act 3)#i didnt see their hands... i legit thought they had no hands so i just guessed until i fought em again and noticed... they have hands...#and now i just realized... the king is weak towards paper cuz of how his hands are balled into fists. my brain legit only thought #that huh. the king's crying so he's covering his eyes (wherever it is) i dont know what hes weak to then (hands literally in full view)

I'm gonna say this about meta druid though, ranger spirits have got to be one of the worst class mechanics ever invented. I am praying for a future beyond the current boon meta so we can finally make away with spirits

#you know if they at least worked like scrapper gyros. but no theyre just warrior banners if they were mantras #on the upside though: filling slots with spirits reduces the amount of glyphs i'll use which will reduce the amount of sadness i feel when #they don't pop a healing condi cleanse aoe anymore #you know instead of removing lesser seeds of life anet could have patched out spirits. is that a fair comparison? no.#would it have made me a happier person? yes.#(you can tell ive been a ranger main for 10 years by how i'm acting like we're in a stereotypical straight old people marriage)#budgie plays gw2

yeah they made galdera too hard for me. big mad bc i beat galdera low level a couple times in ot1 and thought i was good at octopath but hooooooly shit. perma-counter + no leniency turns on summons + however the summon death 'chain damage' works + the top bitch self destructing if you dare to try and play around the fact that the souls have different HP/defenses so unless you target the souls one by one it always gets into the red first + the fire doing aoe damage equal to poison at the end of the turn and bc its not a status effect and regen timing always happens first theres no way for you to counter it. like. idk if my build sucks or im just dumb but im going to turn into th ejoker
