i have no particular reason to think this is true, but wouldn't it be really fucked up if it turns out Ea-nasir was actually a scrupulously honest merchant who provided copper of the finest quality and we just happen to have a very skewed sample of the evidence.

idk how much we know about Ea-nasir. beyond the one famous tablet wikipedia mentions other tablets, which include "a letter from a man named Arbituram who complained he had not received his copper yet, while another says he was tired of receiving bad copper".

and like, that's certainly suggestive! but imagine how you'd feel if the three worst things anyone wrote down about you was all people remembered of you in a couple thousand years. what if you're a 45th century meme brought up whenever anyone provides bad service at a restaurant based on a particularly rude yelp review of your workplace or something.

He's certainly not the first meme ever, but pretty sure Ea-Nasir and his shitty, shitty copper is the eldest! Hooked on this guy from around 1750 BCE, bruh. If he's bad enough for Arbituram and Nanni, he's bad enough to be the OG.

Can we just talk about Ea-nasir literally gets away with so much shit. For several months I've been recieving sub-par ingots from him. In the purchase i CLEARLY stated the grade of copper i wanted. Not only that, but when I sent my servant to pick up the delivery, he was just plain out rude towards him!! Not okay! He sells unusable metal, discriminates my workers, and his delivery times far exceed those stated in the deal. I've had to wait weeks for his shipment to be ready, and he lives just two streets away!

And I'm not the only one either!! My other friends in the Senate, Nanni and Arbituram have both experienced the same kind of outrageous treatment from Ea-nasir.

I advice anyone to not trade with Ea-nasir, he's a lying scumbag, and a dishonest tradesman. He deserves nothing less than to be prosecuted by the Hammurabi laws as soon as possible!
