Family Feud Nominations, Who is the Best Doctor Who Family
If I've missed a character out of one of the families let me know (within reason, I imagine all these families are massive in the EU, so prioritise tv or significant characters)
Currently, the only rule is no families may inculde anyone who is even ambiguously The Doctor, it'll get super complicated super fast imo
Any characters, eg River, who can link up multiple different families to create a single massive family unit will be treated on a case by case basis. If it is possible to pick one of the smaller family units that they are a part of to include them in while not including them in any of the others (in a way everyone will agree at least makes sense) they will be included in that family only, otherwise they will not be included
Please bare in mind when you are nominating that I am hoping to keep the number of nominations under 64 to run this as a mini-tournament. This is not a hard rule so if nominations do exceed 64 its not a big deal, just something I'd like everyone to bare in mind

Timeline error
I know it’s cheesy but I like all the companions of given incarnation coming to say goodbye to their Doctor. For Eleven they were hallucinations. For Twelve memories saved in glass.
However in Twelve case none of them are dead. I mean Nardole might be depending on the timeline but Clara and Bill are pretty much immortal. One travelling on her own TARDIS in the infinity of her last heartbeat and now Doctor remembers this and the last time they met in the TARDIS diner. And Bill really is with Heather even though he didn’t believe that memory. Testimony doesn’t know what happens next so she is probably too powerful and not dead too be taken by them again. Both of them could cross paths with The Doctor again.
If the Testimony save everyone's memories there must be all Doctor's lost friends there too - Amy and Rory, Sarah Jane and the brigadier himself. Including the really dead ones Twelve knew like Danny Pink. And an extra copy of River Song.
The Testimony are like a cross between Library that saved people as digital copies and the Nethersphere's collection of the dead. I’m one of the people who mostly enjoyed Moffat both as a writer and showrunner of Doctor Who but he loves to recycle ideas.
“Weapon Forges of Villengard. Once the nightmare of the Seven Galaxies. Now home to the dispossessed.” The Daleks out of their shell. All the ones Rusty - the very bad Dalek - has freed when they came to kill him. I’m happy that his plan to destroy all Daleks is proceeding nicely.
“You’re an officer from World War One on the South Pole being pursued by an alien through frozen time. Madness was never this good” - this was such a Twelve thing to say.
It turns out they landed at South Pole at night/winter so it was not Christmas then. But it was Christmas at the WWI trenches. The Christmas of the Christmas Truce. But the feel-good moment doesn’t change that this was only 2014 and there are almost 4 more years of that war and most of those men are still going to die. And it’s only the first. It feels as hollow as the face of the Captain when he said “What do you mean... One?”
Captain Archibald Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart. I suspected this was going to be the surname the moment they announced the character and he had none.
The German soldier (played by Toby Whitehouse!) in the trench with him says: “Just leave me here. I don’t want to kill. Please go.” And then when he comes back and time unfreezes: “This is crazy. I don’t not want to hurt you.”
I wasn’t sure why making One so sexist ad seemingly backwards was necessary. And since he is time traveller it’s not like we can blame 20th century Earth so was it supposed to be a comment on Gallifreyan culture? But I liked that Twelve’s reaction to the 60s attitudes of One is “You can’t say that” and when One asks “Says who?” he answers “Just about everyone you meet for the rest of your life.” He will meet a lot of people not shy about calling him on his bullshit. Starting with Bill tonight.
None of the Doctor’s has ever liked their future selves’ redesigns of TARDIS but I get One. Compared to his Twelve’s TARDIS is really dark.
For 1500 years that wasn’t a lot of brandy drunk. And in that time it would’ve all evaporated from that kind of bottle. Although TARDIS compartment may do better at this than real ones.
I recognised Nikki Amuka-Bird even as a transparent CGI person but I wish she had more to do. I hope that like with Capaldi third time will be the charm (Torchwood, main show, The Doctor?).
Doctor by now should’ve known better than to regenerate on TARDIS mid-flight. But we know why Thirteen will need to redecorate. Once she finds its burned out shell again.

Doctor Who: Twice Upon A Time: Reaction (Spoilers)
Doctor, meet the Doctor. Oh, you’ve already met!
I had no idea the First Doctor was so...sexist. When you think about how Twelve sees gender now it’s a little hard to believe he used to think a woman’s role is cleaning and a man could spank her if she acted up. I was waiting for Bill to slap him and I would have clapped if she did.
Speaking of, since the Bill and Nardole we saw were Testimony figures, it’s safe to say that they come from a future where both have passed away. As sad as that thought is, the fact that the Doctor got to have a last goodbye is really satisfying, especially since he also said a farewell to Clara. We know Clara is still hopping around though so she may end up popping up when we least expect it.
Archibald Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart. Even in the past, the Doctor(s) have been associated with members of that family who have done their part fighting for their country’s safety. Who’s to say we won’t run into future members of that family.
Seeing Rusty was certainly unexpected but better him than any of the other genocidal Daleks. It was pretty interesting that the Doctor’s method of getting his help was that anything that helps the Doctor, hurts the Daleks. A kind of enemy of my enemy concept.
Farewell, Twelve and hello, Thirteen. When she said “Brilliant.” there was something in her eyes that made me believe I’m going to like this Doctor as well. Now all she needs to do is survive a major fall from the TARDIS.
A new year and a new Doctor. May the adventure continue and may she keep running.
Thanks for reading! Likes, reblogs, comments, questions, and followings are all appreciated. Until next time.
Bluefanguy, out.
