V means so damn much to me. I'm a fickin of her for fricks sake. I have a bunch of merch and fanmerch of her and im considering getting the bigger plushie that neon makes of her and i just. She means the fucking world to me. I love her. I relate to her on being abandoned. I relate to her on a lot of things. I like her. I like her and N kissing. I like them getting to be a happy couple and working through their trauma together and V getting redemption.

Whenever i see fanart of her and N it makes me feel all soft and happy and when people mention her death it makes me wanna cry. I dont know how to fully explain how i feel without sounding stupid but i just. Silly drones mean a lot to me. Fictional mama V go brr. She brings me joy and i hate seeing people being mean to her and even Alice because we only had Alice for one episode and she deserved better :(

thinking about how tras speak about ‘genital preference’ and i cannot comprehend how they do not realize that they’re literally peddling conversion therapy rhetoric. how do they not see that telling lesbians they should be attracted to men if they’re ‘feminine’ enough is homophobic? as a postscript of sorts: how do they come to the conclusion that someone being attracted to only one sex is discriminatory?

I've seen some people say some character art downgraded from 1 to 2 and while i agree about some poses not being as dynamic and some of the art being unfinished (early access tho) and the colors not being as dope, and some of the gods feel different

but i wanna specifically ramble about Artemis best gurl for a bit

this is my girlie in Hades 1

I've been thinking about the differences from 1 to 2, and I think in here, she's presenting herself as the Goddess of Hunting.

she looks a bit menacing, she looks sharp, she looks like she just got here, the angle she's looking at you it's not very direct it's like she's measuring you from head-to-toe kinda way, she also has that greenish light which feels kinda like an aura. she's down to business!

and when we look at her in Hades 2

She looks confident still, and you can see her weapons just as clearly, but her pose, and her smile? she's like, laid back, she's not quite posing to create an impression, she doesn't have that greenish aura, she's there in the flesh, she's not really presenting as a goddess in particular... she looks more welcoming, a bit softer looking... she looks like she's just stopped for a chat, while in 1 it's like she's in the middle of something

and when you stop to think about it? she is. she is just chatting with her friend. Melinoe is her friend, she called her Sister.

We're much more closer to her as Melinoe than we were as Zagreus. bc while she does become friends with him in H1, she's more of a long distance friend. we were building our bond with her in H1.

But here? in H2? she's known Mel for years... she kept it a secret from other gods... she's got those accessories thingies with the 4 colors. not only are we close friends we even got a friend bracelet thing going on with her!! Melinoe is a precious friend to her from what i've seen so far.

Why would she pose and be a bit distant with her friend? we know Artemis is a bit closed off from people, she prefers being in the woods with the animals than other gods i recall her saying that to Zag, but Mel? Mel is a dear friend, she sounds much more casual from the get go with her than with Zag because we have a strong bond with her already

In Hades 1 we just got to know her, so she's more closed off, she is more business like, she is distant, she is The Goddess of Hunting

In Hades 2 she is our friend 💖

i love that andy weir never kills his protagonists. it would be so easy to. at so many points. by all means they Should be dead. mark gets stranded on mars and the planet works against him at every turn. jazz's suit fails on the surface of the moon and she feels herself begin to die. ryland is sent on a suicide mission then gives up his chance at return for his friend. they should all have died. multiple times in some cases. but they don't!!! because weir isn't writing tragedies, he's writing stories of hope and humanity. they survive even when it should be impossible for them to because of connection. simple as that.

Shoutout to the media that comes in forms that are just kind of incompatible with your brain. Shout out to the stories you know you'd love if the format was something you could handle. Shoutout to the tv shows that I can't hold the attention to sit down and watch all the way through, the actual-play podcasts whose improvised chatter slides right off my brain, the roguelike video games whose mechanics kind of frustrate me, the action-based free-to-play browser game-worlds that I forget what I was doing when I come back each day.

I know I would love you if I could handle your medium.

What I miss most about old video games is the in game ‘help’ button when you came across an icon that you didn’t know what was for, etc. or being able to look in those big honking game manuals.

Now with these new ones, I gotta use Google to find out what this one little thing is, which is guaranteed to not give me the result I want.

currently watching gendies getting angry at gender critical women / actual lesbians getting mad about being thrown out of pride and here are my assorted thoughts:

they keep saying that ‘terfs’ aren’t lesbians which simply proves that all these ‘queers’ (read: agp TIMs, straight women with dyed hair, bisexual women who have only been attracted to celebrities) view being LGB as some cool social club that they get to kick people out of, rather than being an innate characteristic

they have no other logic or argument but repeating ‘trans women are women’ ad nauseam

whenever someone says lesbians are female homosexuals, they don’t really have any answer except saying that “oh that’s not the same for all lesbians”. they then refuse the idea of anyone using terms to indicate that they are female homosexuals, but also then go on to say no one is pressuring lesbians to have sex with TIMs, despite them literally saying that lesbians should include TIMs within the subset of people they are attracted to. beggar’s fucking belief i tell you
