i don't have enough on them to warrant a full bio post yet, but here's some points on my version of ARYA STARK. parts of this interpretation are taken with permission from a friend who used to write them.

arya uses they/them pronouns and is nonbinary, unless they are interacting with their family (ie, sansa, jon, bran). this is largely due to their time in the house of black and white, beginning to wear so many different faces, and their time being blind. putting on another gender opened their mind to the idea that gender roles might not even exist, especially when it comes to themself.

arya/gendry is not a ship i will write, but i do recognize it as happening in canon, if only because it's a bittersweet way to make robert baratheon's words to ned come true. it only happens once, just like in canon, and after they remain very close friends.

my arya is affiliated with my asoiaf version of klaus lannister, and will sometimes bring him up in threads. this will only happen if we are interacting in season 6 or later.

as all the stark children are in the books, arya is a warg. here's the wiki of ice and fire page on wargs. however, they can no longer warg due to not being around nymeria. they have not yet mastered warging into other animals, as they had barely begun doing it with nymeria.

i will not do ships with arya unless it is post series, as she is a child throughout the entire series. arya has little interest in romance, but is pansexual.

The way certain Stark stans are trying so hard to deny or diminish Jon's Targaryan heritage is pretty sad (except when they want to give him a dragon uhm)

This character is overcoming prejudice toward peoples on the outside, is a character that is all about conciliating opposing things but he will not be capable of conciliating his Stark and Targaryan heritage? sure, Jon is gonna hate the Targaryens, his BLOOD, even if in the books he looked up to Daeron, he respected and loved Aemon, he spoke highly of Alysanne and he wished he had dragons during battle.

He's gonna hate Daenerys because....she's a good person, she cares about people, she killed slavers and she's the best hope against the others?

Or he's gonna hate his bio father because he was the only person who took seriously the threat of the others or because he chose love over duty? Oh shit, this is also what Jon did in the books with Arya :O

I’m sick and have binged all of atla so atla x asoiaf crossover nedcat, can I hear a wahoo? Well not so much a crossover as just bringing bending into asoiaf. They don’t do nations based on bending like in atla, it’s more tied to family. In other words they’re not under different rulers depending on what element they bend, after the Targaryen conquest they’re one and the same country just like in canon. So they had firebender leadership in the Targaryens for ~280 years and when Robert rebelled they went to earthbender leadership. Ned realises Joffrey and the gang are bastards because they’re all firebenders even though the Baratheons have extremely strong earthbender genes.

The Starks are waterbenders and so are the Tullys, but Ned’s the non bender of his family while Cat was the only one among her siblings to be a bender and that’s part of why she grew up as the golden child. She’s not too much of a warrior, though can do combat (the blackfish taught her) and will defend herself if it’s necessary. She’s more skilled with waterbending as an art form and an expression of her culture. As unhappy as he was with the death of his family Ned was very happy to marry a bender because that meant the chances of the waterbending tradition continuing in the Stark family were high even as he wasn’t a bender himself. He feels immensely self conscious about not being a bender while all his siblings were and he’s the first lord of winterfell in a very long time to not be a bender. Cat on the other hand has a different bending style than her northern counterparts and worried about that when she first came north.

I have two scenarios for the starklings. Either they are all benders, as well as Jon. And before Jon showed signs of waterbending Ned worried himself halfway to madness over the risk of him being a firebender like his bio dad. Or Jon and Arya are non benders and that’s another way in which they take after Ned. Either way Ned’s very proud of his bender kids and tries to train with them as well as he can without being able to bend himself.

Can I ask why you ship Jon and Sansa? (I'm assuming that's what the Jonsa means in your bio) Not attacking you or anything just curious. They are half siblings and while Jon was a bit separated due to him being the bastard they still were raised together and he's much older. Ik incest and weird relationships is normal in GOT but still

i’m not much involved in the show fandom anymore, but going by medieval and asoiaf/book lore, jonsa isn’t incest. i can direct you to much more lovely people who could explain this way better if you like, but they aren’t half-siblings. ned is not jon’s father, rhaegar is. jon is lyanna’s son (ned’s sister).

westeros is very culturally against incest in all forms, but their definition of it is quite different from the modern world’s. i’m the kind of person who, when i engage in a piece of media, i try to do it through the lens of someone who would actually live there. that is why i don’t consider jonsa incest, because in westeros cousin marriage is not only accepted but extremely common. lysa, sansa’s aunt, wished to marry sansa to her cousin/lysa’s son sweetrobin. additionally, ned, lyanna, brandon, and benjen’s parents (the starklings paternal grandparents), were first cousins.

the only kinds of incest westeros and essos condemn are sibling/sibling, aunt/nephew, mother/son, and father/daughter.

i believe george intentionally didn’t make them interact at all in the chapters where they’re both in the same location. i also believe it is sansa, not arya or jeyne poole or alys karstark who is the girl in grey.

why do i ship them in a general sense? 1. i believe they are compatible and would work well together as a couple based on their own internal wants and feelings about love and marriage.* 2. if sansa is to hold some sort of northern leadership, she must marry a man who is willing to give up all of his titles + name for her so that they may continue house stark. jon is the perfect fit for that in my opinion ( @istumpysk has a great meta on this titled “find sansa’s husband”).

as for the age gap, that part does make me sort of uneasy, but i do believe george feels the same way about that. which i think is why he tried so hard to make the 5 year gap work (if you’re not familiar, the 5 year gap was a scrapped time jump that was to happen in between ADWD and TWOW). if the 5 year gap had ended up working out, sansa would be around 17/18, and jon around 20/21. their age gap may seem like a lot because of how young they are, but when you age them up just a bit it starts to make a little more sense.

Bio:

She is the eldest child of Octavius Ravenwood and his wife, Ada Ravenwood (nee Thistle). Lena had one brother who is three years her junior, named Alaric. Her father, Octavius, was born into a wealthy pureblood family and was in Slytherin house himself. He was prone to fits of rage, and was widely feared by his classmates. While attending Hogwarts, he met muggleborn Ravenclaw Ada Thistle and fell in love. Octavius was forced to hide his relationship from his family, who would certainly kill Ada if they found out she was muggleborn. When Ada fell pregnant, Octavius stole away his inheritance and hid it in a vault deep within Gringotts. He and Ada married in secret, and Octavius removed his wife’s memories of Hogwarts and all things magic using the memory charm. Once settled in a muggle village in the south of England, he removed his own memories of the magical world into a pensieve that was cleverly hidden within the cellar of their small home. Lena’s magic showed early. She had several experiences of unexplained events, such as the chicken coop combusting when she was pecked by the rooster, or appearing in the sweets shop when her mother said no to going in. Eventually, it grew too much to hide, and that is where Matilda Weasley and Eleazar Fig stepped in when Lena was in her mid-teens.

Lena was fierce and independent from childhood. She strongly dislikes being smothered, preferring to be left to her own devices. Lena has a very strict “do not touch me” rule unless you are on her very short list of the people she likes enough to have physical contact with. Touch is Lena’s love language, so she limits her touch to those she truly cares about. If you are outside of that list, Lena will punch you. She was introduced to fighting at a young age with her father instructing her to protect her younger brother, Alaric, no matter what. He was a soft boy with an open heart, and that made him a prime target for the older boys in the village. Lena is extremely protective of those she cares about, often tip-toeing across the line of moral codes to defend them. In the words of her father, do not harm your enemies - destroy them. On a surface level Lena is tough, intimidating, and cold. She often has an arrogant smile on her face, and she does not suffer fools gladly. 

Beneath the surface, Lena is far more complicated. She somewhat resents her father for forcing her to be the tough one. She carries an overwhelming sense of duty to protect others, however sometimes she also needs to be protected. Once she attends Hogwarts and spends extended periods of time away from her parents, she really blossoms into a friendly and warm young woman. Lena doesn’t mind going out of her way to help people, and she learns it is highly beneficial to have many friends in different corners of society. She copes with humour, often making her friends laugh. She prefers who she is at school, and compartmentalizes most of her rough exterior in favour of someone who offers free smiles and a listening ear. She’s a charmer and a flirt, often using her big light brown eyes and dimpled smile to get herself out of trouble - which she gets in far too much. While at home, Lena is like ice. When she has room to blossom into her own being, she learns she is fire and wind. She’s always down for a fight, and she’s a little firecracker with a big mouth. People tend to trust her quickly with deep secrets. Lena gathers these secrets, and keeps them to herself in case she needs to use them in the future. She carries an unfortunate talent for identifying a person’s greatest insecurity, and she absolutely weaponizes it when she’s pissed off and then feels awful about it. She falls in love quickly, and forgives her loved ones far too easily, which makes her a prime target for manipulation. Despite being very friendly, Lena is absolutely an introvert. She is most comfortable and most at peace when she is alone or with only Ominis. After large social interactions she’ll sleep for 16 hours straight.

Following Lena’s fifth year, she is prone to fits of depression where she withdraws into herself completely and becomes a ghost of a person. She suffers from horrible night terrors and sleep walks. Lena experiences overwhelming anxiety at times, and is no stranger to panic attacks. She speaks less, while previously it was difficult to get her to stop talking. She tries to play it off and mask it all with humour, and she does a well enough job that only those who are closest to her notice - but she actively tries to push them away so they don’t notice. It takes a long time for her to heal and learn how to cope with all she’s been through.

Maybe I'm stating the obvious here, but I think Sansa and Arya got some subconscious daddy kink (no shaming btw) because why else would Sansa fall for a man mistaken for her father and Arya is so attached to Jon, the Stark son who looks most like Ned. There's also Jon basing all his crushes on Arya, who unbeknownst to him, is like his bio mom, Lyanna, in both looks and personality. Overall, I find it very interesting.

As much I'm a total slut for a good Daddy kink, and would love some Sansan and Jonrya fics with that, I don't think that's what's going on.

Unlike something like Jon explicitly comparing his girlfriend's body to Arya's, when she's undressing for him so they can have sex, these other situations have some key differences.

Like you said, Jon doesn't even know Lyanna is his mom, so him being drawn to Arya, who has a simmilar personality to her aunt, doesn't strike me as his brain doing that level of freudian connections, but rather the simple fact that, as her son, Jon has things in common with Lyanna because one's personality is a combo of nature (aka genetics) and nurture - so naturally he gets along well with (and was originally going to fall for) a person that is a lot like the woman he himself resembles. It's more a matter of compatibility than having some complex about his mother.

The same goes for Arya liking Jon, who is a lot like Ned - who she also has a lot in common with. They also have the added bonus of feeling like outcasts. Arya doesn't like typical "girly" things, Jon is a bastard. They don't fit in, so they stick together. Of course they're closer to each other than to their siblings - all of which have lots in common with Ned.

Their looks are also not that relevant, because they are close friends, and were going to be into each other in the original plans, because of their personalities (See Jon liking Val and Ygritte, who look nothing like each other or Arya, but have the same kind of personality he's naturally drawn to) so them happening to resemble each other's parents is not really significant (even if it becomes funny considering they're cousins/siblings).

Sansa mistaking Sandor for her dad is a bit more sus considering all the romance themes in her dynamic with him, but the context in which it happens is one of their few interactions that does NOT have a romantic coding. People are scared of her wolf, Lady - aka one of the magical creatures that protect the Starks - and she's feeling unsafe around all these strangers that are looking at her weird, and some that ARE being somewhat thretening... and then Sandor Clegane, the Hound, comes in, and she assumes is her dad there to protect her. That is a role Sandor will take on A LOT. We even have Robert's famous quote when it comes to making Ned kill Lady "Give her a dog, she'll be happier for it."

If she had thought about the simmilarities between Sandor's physical appearance (aka the half of his face that has not been burned) or any of his Ned-like personality traits - which are not that many, though the ones that exist are important - in moments like when she's imagining him replacing her husband on her marriage bed, yeah, that could absolutely be taken as her having a complex. But that's not what we got.

The closest we got to Ned having an influence in Sansa's romantic choices, is her wanting someone who was like the ideal husband her dad wanted her to have - brave, gentle and strong. She consistently refers to Sandor as being all three (even if the gentle part can go out the window if he's triggered and/or drunk) but that is more a sign of her realizing her dad was right and that she would have been happier with someone like that than with freaking Joffrey.

Considering she's freaked out by Littlefinger, who IS very much trying to be both her father and her lover at the same time, I'd say that is simply not Sansa's deal.

Littlefinger is also why I think Sandor's features are more northern-like (besides representing Sansa eventually chosing the North over the South) - he "lost" Catelyn to both Stark brother's, and now will lose his replacement!Catelyn to a man that was literally mistaken as Arya's father, aka could easily pass for a Stark. It's just perfect.

But like I said, I'm 100% into that kind of thing, so if you ever find any good fic for these pairings with that aspect in it, drop the link.

you were born with a wild streak. even as a child you wailed louder than anyone thought a babe should. from the time you could crawl you dragged yourself to doors and windows and to animals; toward anything that gave you a glimpse of the outside world. you didn't have the normal fears a child was supposed have. perhaps you were destined to lead a life that wasn't normal either. though you are an only child, you grow up close to your cousin, dorothea. she's older than you but you're cut from the same cloth and you recognize the rebellious twinkle in each other's eyes. it is to her you go to laugh or in the few times you allow someone to see your vulnerability. when your parents pass in your teenage years, it is dorothea's mother-in-law who takes you in. her children become your siblings. as you and dorothea grow, it is clear to you both you have different paths ahead of you - though you're sure the paths crisscross each other. you certainly hope they do.

your new mother ensures dorothea has all the assets in her arsenal to make her an enchanting lady, maybe even a queen. and your cousin knows how to wield them as deftly as any sword-master or archer. try as your mother might, you remain stubborn and loyal to your wily roots and free spirit. you are just as likely to be found in dance lesson as you are to be found sparring in the courtyard. you are as comfortable in a library as you are on horseback. you are as deft with an embroidery needle as you are nocking an arrow on your bow. eventually your exhausted aunt sets her sights on other targets.

BIO: Sansa Stark is the eldest daughter of Lord Eddard Stark and his wife, Lady Catelyn, sister of Robb, Arya, Bran, and Rickon Stark, and "half-sister" of Jon Snow .Initially betrothed to Prince Joffrey Baratheon, Sansa travels to King's Landing in preparation for her nuptials, but essentially becomes a hostage of House Lannister following the execution of her father. Even after escaping the capital and returning to Winterfell, she endures further hardship at the hands of House Bolton. After escaping from Winterfell with the help of Theon Greyjoy, and her sworn-sword, Brienne of Tarth, Sansa reunites with Jon at Castle Black. Along with the support of the Free Folk, the knights of the Vale, and certain Northern houses, the two of them retake Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton, and Sansa becomes the Lady of Winterfell. Following the Battle of King's Landing and Daenerys's subsequent assassination, Sansa declares the North an independent kingdom and is later crowned Queen in the North.

Quick Bio: Robb Stark is the eldest son of the Lord of Winterfell, a powerful city known for its frosted landscape and harsh living conditions. Robb has two sisters, two brothers, and one half-brother of the same age, who his father sired out of marriage while away at war. When Robb's father and sisters were unjustly imprisoned by the new king, Robb declared war against the capital and gathered armies throughout the north. He planned, originally, to simply free his family, but when his father was executed, the other Northern leaders declared Robb their "King of the North," and so began the separatist war to secede from the kingdom and create their own.

Note: Robb is a canon character from the Game of Thrones show predominantly, with influences from the Song of Ice and Fire novels. He can be worked into any fantasy universe, and several other verses are included in the extended bio below.

Robb, born at Riverrun and raised at Winterfell, was the eldest child of Lady Catelyn and Lord Eddard Stark. Robb was born at Riverrun and raised at Winterfell. His father left his mother the morning after their wedding to fight in Robert's Rebellion and did not return until after Robb was born. He had two younger trueborn brothers, Bran and Rickon, and two sisters, Sansa and Arya. Robb also had a "bastard half-brother," Jon Snow, with whom Robb shared a close relationship. Robb was also close to his father's ward, Theon Greyjoy, whom he counted as his best friend outside of the family. Robb had been trained from childhood to wield a sword and wear armor by Winterfell's master-at-arms Ser Rodrik Cassel, and was highly proficient with both for his young age.

One day, he, Theon, Jon, and Bran, found a litter of newborn direwolf pups and were allowed to keep one each: Robb called his Grey Wind. Not long after, the king--an old friend of Robb's father--came to visit Winterfell, and asked Robb's father to return with him to King's Landing. With his father gone and his mother distracted with her other son, Bran, who had recently been injured in a fall, Robb began to run the castle himself. Soon, he receives news that the king has died and his father haas been arrested. Rather than bow to the new king, Robb calls the other Northern houses to fight with him to free his father. Robb leaves Winterfell to march on King's Landing.

Robb, though young, proves to be a clever and skilled fighter and leader and goes undefeated in battle. In the meantime, rumors spread through the kingdom, claiming that he can control his wolf--and that he can even become a wolf himself. Eventually, the armies come to bridge, ruled by House Frey. In order to cross the bridge, Robb must agree to take on a squire, for his sister to marry one of the Frey heirs, and for Robb himself to marry a Frey daughter when the war is over.

When Robb receives news of his father's death, he must decide who to ally with in the war for the throne, as he refuses to support the new king, who executed his father unjustly. However, the men fighting for him decide that none of the contenders are worthy and choose, instead, to secede from the kingdom and form their own: The Northern Kingdom, with Robb as their king. Robb continues to win victories against the Lannister army and earns the nickname "The Young Wolf" for his ferocity in battle. In one particularly successful battle, he captures the knight, Jaime Lannister, and holds him captive.

One day, after battle, Robb sees a healer treating a wounded Lannister soldier. Introducing herself as Talisa, she criticizes Robb for the need for this war. Robb doesn't want the Iron Throne, just revenge on the king for his father's death. She is shocked to learn he doesn't care which king takes the throne after they defeat the current king. He just wants them to leave the north alone afterward. She points out that the men they slaughtered were not the king's main army but unwilling boy soldiers and conscripts from the Westerlands. Intrigued by her, Robb begins to spend more time with her and eventually falls in love with her. Robb and Talisa discuss Robb's engagement, making fun of the fact he knows nothing about her with the exception that she is from House Frey. They later discuss Robb's father Eddard Stark and the lessons he taught Robb about caring for his subjects and who will sit on the Iron Throne. They are interrupted by news that Catelyn has released Robb's key prisoner: Jaime.

Another betrayal comes in the form of his best friend, Theon, who he sent to negotiate with his father. Instead. Theon betrays Robb and takes Winterfell, Robb's family home, for himself, imprisoning Robb's young brothers. Angry and confused, Robb spends more time with Talisa, and eventually marries her, betraying his oath to marry a daughter of House Frey. His army begins to turn against him, believing he's already lost the war by marrying this outsider.

One of the rebelling lords attacks and kills two child prisoners that Robb had ordered not to be hurt. Robb is disgusted and, after being mocked by his lord, called "the king of Mercy" and asked if he'll be given a "scolding," Robb has the man executed. All of Robb's advisors tell him this is a bad idea. Catelyn and Talisa warn him that the the lord's soldiers will abandon his cause and return home if he executes their lord, and they are already badly outnumbered. Robb ignores their pleas. Obedient to the laws of his father - that the man who passes the sentence must swing the sword - Robb pronounces the sentence of death and personally beheads the lord.

Robb's strict adherence to justice makes things turn out just as badly as his advisors said they would: the lord's soldiers withdraw from his army and march for home, resulting in Robb losing almost half of his forces. Robb later consults with his mother about attacking Casterly Rock, the home of the new king. Robb claims that it is a dangerous move, but if the castle is taken away, the lords of Westeros will realize he is not invincible. Catelyn points out that the plan requires the cooperation of Lord Frey. To make up for betraying his oath, Robb's Uncle Edwin marries one of the Frey daughters instead of Robb.

Robb, his wife (now pregnant), mother, and remaining army return to House Frey to make ammends and attend his Uncle's wedding. Robb makes a public apology to Lord Frey's daughters and granddaughters for breaking his promise to marry one of them. Frey accepts the apology and offers the Starks and their men his hospitality. The feast that follows is quite celebratory, with all the participants in high spirits. Then, the attack begins.

Robb's wife is killed first and, before he can react, Robb is shot by the musicians with crossbows several times and falls to the ground. Numerous other Stark men are killed by the assassins or Frey men. Robb crawls towards Talisa despite his injuries and manages to hold her in his arms, but he sees that she is dead. Robb drags himself back onto his feet and weakly calls out "Mother" to her in a daze. As Catelyn looks into Robb's eyes, Roose Bolton steps in front of Robb and tells him, "The Lannisters send their regards," and stabs Robb through the heart.

Because Robb's canon bio obviously ends in his death, I have the following verses that can be used:

V: THEY SAY HE CANNOT BE KILLED

Version 1: Robb does not die at the Red Wedding. He loses the alliance with the Freys when he marries Talisa, but he does not attempt to win them back. When Theon takes Winterfell, rather than sending the Boltons, Robb returns to the North himself and retakes his home. From there, he begins plotting the war in the South by allying with Daenerys, the Tyrells, and the Dornish (offering them the Iron Throne as long as the North is left as an independent nation). This can be HBO compliant through Season 6 but can be altered for verses anywhere in between Seasons 3-6, or adjusted for book!verse.  Version 2: Robb attends the Red Wedding and is stabbed while he watches his men, wife, and mother be slaughtered. He is able to escape, however, and is nursed back to health by local villagers (and/or Arya). He bids his time while he heals and then begins to travel North, the end result being the same as above. 

V: MORE BEAST THAN BOY

Robb dies at the Red Wedding but before the Freys can take his head, his surviving men drag his body away, and he is resurrected by the Brotherhood Without Banners. Robb bears the scars of that night: permanent wounds on his chest, shoulder, and leg where where he was attacked, but worse are the scars the night has left on his mind. While he tries to maintain his old beliefs on justice and mercy, this Robb is hardened by what he’s experienced and is seeking vengeance. He travels in the shadows, only making his presence known to those he can trust, and is working on rebuilding his army and reclaiming the North. 

V: A BOY (BEFORE) HIS ARMY

Before the War of Five Kings, Robb is a young boy living in Winterfell, being trained to take over one day as Lord. Anything pre-dating the shows and books. 

V: LILO AND STITCH (MODERN)

When Catelyn and Ned Stark die in a car accident, Robb is left to raise his siblings on his own. Though he once dreamed of going to art school, he instead enrolls in the local fire academy and takes on a full time job and four young kids all just after his eighteen birthday. 

V: REBLLIONS BEGIN WITH HOPE (STAR WARS AU)

In the years after Darth Vaders’ death, Robb joined with the resistance, rising through the ranks as a pilot until he was head of his own squadron. As the First Order threatens the galaxy, and is responsible for the separation of his family, Robb will do anything to stop them. His parents have been killed and his siblings scattered across the galaxy; in an order to find them, Robb volunteers for any mission he can get his hands on, while remaining loyal to General Leia. He has no idea that the force runs in his family–or that his own abilities are just beginning to show. 

V: STILL STANDING WHEN THE DUST CLEARS (DRAGON AGE AU) 

Starkhaven, an independent city-state in the Free Marches, has been ruled by the Stark Family for generations. It is an impenetrable city with impossible mountain walls, and has not had a king since the failed conquest of King Torrhen Stark; since then, all leaders have claimed the title of Prince. Though the last Circle of Magi was destroyed in Starkhaven ten years ago, magic has remained, and when Ned Stark, the Prince at the time, realized his children showed signs of magical ability, he joined with the side of the Circle of Magi in their civil war against the templars. Ned was amongst many representatives who attended Divine Justinia V’s peace conclave and was killed in the following explosion. His eldest son, Robb Stark, then took up his position as Prince of Starkhaven and continues to fight for the freedom of the mages while working with the Inquisition to see that those responsible for the explosion–and his father’s death–paid for their crimes. 

V: TSOA (TROJAN WAR/THE SONG OF ACHILLES AU)

Robb Stark is the son of a great Northern King and a sea goddess. Raised in his father’s court, he was groomed from a young age to be a strong and just soldier, loyal to his kingdom, kind to his friends, and brave when he faced his enemies. Because King Eddard Stark had a habit of bringing home wayward boys–orphans, exiles, and wards–Robb grew up with a band of close-knit boys, including Jon Snow and Theon Greyjoy.  When Helen of Sparta was kidnapped, the Trojan War began, and despite Catelyn Stark’s efforts to keep her oldest son far away from the violence, Robb knew his duty and set out for Troy, quickly gaining a reputation as a boy who could not be killed, who had never lost a battle–gaining as many enemies for his skill as he did friends.
