Abby had been maying through the fields and woods with Lady Helen and her retinue when they happened upon a magnificent waterfall that looked like a curtain of glass falling into the clearest pool Abby'd ever seen. Lady Helen told her people to eat, drink, and make merry in the previous clearing as this waterfall was a place of quiet reflection and genuflection with only the most devout to stay.

Abby worshipped for hours at the altar of Lady Helen, the choir of the water's fall disguising her lady's own keening prayers and adulations, begging and thanksgiving as Abby did as her lady asked.

SHIP IT

What made you ship it? - The tragic romance,,, being the last remnant of STRQ yet they were both filled with so much grief that it turns into strife, but they still trust each other to an extent when it comes to the girls. I honestly want to see them talk more about what happens now that Summer is gone, Raven is gone, and the world is turned upside down.

What are your favorite things about the ship? - Old men yaoi hehe. But in all seriousness, I think Tai and Qrow have a really nice dynamic here with both obviously not being perfect, but trying their best to be there for their little family. They remind me of that picture of two stags with their antlers stuck together...so much angst potential.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? - Despite my liking of this ship, I fucking hate Qrow with a passion. He's just a bad character, and with Tai having no relevancy this ship to me is like Tauradonna; it could've been so good if the writers get their heads outta their asses.

With the holidays giving Adem a brief break from hockey, he was happy to be away from the ice for a slight reset. On this occasion, he found himself at a party full of hockey players from various teams, including his brother. Not wanting to be stuck at a party like this without decent company, he had managed to drag Riley along. Somewhere in the chaos of people drinking and letting loose, he had managed to lose Riley. No doubt, Taner had stolen her, not caring the least that she was there to keep Adem company. It there was one person he didn't have to worry about her being around, it was his brother. He knew that she would be in good hands all the same.

When he did find her, standing in a hall all alone, Adem let out a sigh of relief. "Finally, some company that won't require me to talk about hockey." No matter how much Adem loved the sport, he wants a break where he wouldn't have to discuss it. "I was looking for you everywhere, and was beginning to think Taner helped sneak you out of here, or something," he teased while coming to a stop before her.

His eyes caught sight of something hanging above them, only taking a moment to realize that it was mistletoe. The irony of their situation wasn't lost on him. Here he was, under mistletoe, with the woman he had been in love with since they'd been young. When his gaze returned to her, he pointed up slightly. "Mistletoe..."

It was a split second decision, but before he could change his mind and talk himself out of it, his arm shot out, slipping around her to draw her toward him and his lips landed on hers. It wasn't a small peck, even if he'd intended that to start, soon he found himself kissing her gently, slowly, savoring the moment and not wanting this one moment to end, but knowing it had to. He committed everything in those precious seconds to memory.

The moment was gone before he knew it, pulling away slowly to find his gaze landing on her face. "It's tradition, after all, isn't it?" Adem offered her a smile, an attempt at hiding his feelings the best he could. "I could ask you why you're standing under this. Makes me wonder who you were trying to catch." Once again he tried to keep his tone light and teasing. Holding a hand out to her, "Wanna rejoin the party? Or do you wanna slip away and get out of here? Because, in case you're wondering, I'm starving right now for more than little finger foods."

Ooh, quotes. Um... Well, that's hard. Though fair enough, considering what I hit you with. :)

I can't say I have any profound quotes that I touch on/reference for daily life or anything, but here's just some that I just like a lot.

"We all have the impulse for violence; the true measure of a species, indeed, of a person, is in our restraint." --Helen Magnus, Sanctuary episode 1x10. I love so much from Sanctuary, but this one is very true to me.

2. "You may live to see man-made horrors beyond your comprehension." --Nikola Tesla. I read this in a James Rollins book once and loved it. I feel this is becoming more and more relevant, which is very disturbing.

Honestly both 😂, we’re both pretty protective, so there’s a lot of making ‘our love known’ (his way is a bit more intense then mine-), while I’m pretty subtle about it and usually just talk about it later, he’ll say anything loud and clear, with no shame

🐶: If you and your f/o were to get a pet, what would it be?-

Cat, 100% cat, it would have to be the sassiest cat though 😂 it has to match his sass.

Thank you for asking! First off, yes, I ship them, of course I ship them, I don't ship anyone the way I ship them. They are my true OTP, my One True Pairing; no other ship, not even any other couple I named in the context of this ask, comes anywhere near.

Like, with other couples it's usually a "I like them together, they make sense together, but I can also ship them with someone else if/when I think that other person also makes sense."

Not so with these two. No one but each other for these two, in my mind. Like yes, they might have had previous relationships; canon tells us that Myka had Sam and I honor that. But present and future, only ever Helena for her, or no one.

And canon is silent on whether Helena had any more serious relationships than what Wooly called "charmed the men of London" - I tend towards no, in my headcanon, or at most she fell in love with someone in her late teens or early twenties and it didn't work out (maybe because that someone was also a woman, and/or didn't return Helena's feelings), and that was it. She got her heart broken and decided to not give it to anyone else I can see her have dalliances mostly based on mutual sexual attraction, because she does speak of many lovers, but I don't think there were serious relationships among them, not even with whoever was Christina's father - she never mentions him, after all.

And I can see her approach Myka the same way, at first. Just a dalliance, and a means to an end. And then her heart is like "no but I *like* this one," and runs away from her and towards Myka, and she has no hope of stopping it, blasted thing.

And Myka? Oh her heart is all over the place. She guards it well, too, that's clear from the very beginning of the show, right? That is a big part of her characterization. And okay, yes, she's become friends with Pete, and has grown fond of Claudia, and Leena, and hell even grumpy Artie who's technically her boss. But she knows how badly losing someone hurts, and she never ever wants to feel that again.

And Helena is a bad guy, after all! Even if she's also the author (or ideas-giver) of Myka's favorite books. Even if she's also this beautiful, competent woman. Even if she's flirting with Myka, trying to connect with her, build rapport - I'm sure Myka is seeing that. I'm sure everything within her tells her to stay guarded!

But she can't help it either. Can't help her heart running towards this person, who yanks her up into the skies and infuriates her and who is so, so lonely - who if not Myka understands loneliness in the middle of a crowd?

When I watched For The Team for the first time, I got whammied.

I can't call it anything else; I never FELT anything else. I have never before, in no other show, or movie, or book, encountered a couple that I *shipped* - I didn't even know the word! (I wasn't socialized in fandom, that's what I call it; at most I knew that Trekkies existed and considered myself one of them, but it was only ever a solitary experience, and so I had no vocabulary; I just knew that these two suddenly had all my feels and daydreams in a chokehold.)

And it hasn't stopped. Hasn't even waned. The show's been off the air for ten years now and still, *still*, these two occupy my brain to a worrisome degree. Whenever I see a romantic storyline, I look at it for Bering and Wells AU potential. I spawn WIPs and story ideas at an alarming rate. And I don't see that ever changing, and I'm glad about it.

I love them, your honor.

Jacobi's hiding out on the porch, toying with an unlit cigarette he's stolen from Eiffel's - Doug's - supply. Contrarily to the other man, he's never developed a dependence to nicotine, but the act of it - the feeling of it in his hand, the taste of it in his mouth - tends to relax him all the same.

"Jacobi."

Jacobi closes his eyes. Inhales, lets out a shaky breath. What do you want, he thinks but does not say out loud.

"Jacobi," Kepler rumbles, and if the accent is right, if the imperiousness and hidden strings are indeed his own, the edge of plea isn't something Jacobi's ever really heard from him.

"I wanted to tell you -" No. "I've always thought I'd have the time to say -" No. This is wrong. Jacobi doesn't open his eyes, and he can almost feel Kepler's presence behind him, the solid wall of his body.

A pause.

Then:

"I hope you know that I'm proud of you." Jacobi swallows around the knot in his throat and exhales through his nose, jaw tense and clenched. "You've always been so loyal to me, much more than you've ever been to Goddard itself." Jacobi shivers; a breath of air caresses the back oh his sweat-dampened neck. "My right-hand man." Cool fingers, ghosting along his shoulder. "My perfect soldier."

And there's almost tenderness here, an emotion so foreign to the concept of Kepler himself that Jacobi's eyes snap open. He whirls around, his fingers crushing the delicate tube of paper as he balls up his hands into fists.

And then - nothing. He's alone on the porch of this little dilapidated farm in the middle of Bumfuck Nowhere, Arizona; if he pays attention and directs his good ear towards the house, he can hear Lovelace and Minkowski quietly chatting. He's alone and he's just hallucinated his dead boss praising him.

Jacobi sniffs. Maxwell would have had a field day.

Crushing the remainder of the cigarette under his heel, he decides to go back inside the house. There are too many ghosts outside.

Why don’t you ship it? - Honestly? The way Ruby treats Penny in the Atlas arc really turns me off this ship. Excluding the way Ruby just...doesn't react when her dead friend comes back to life like she just came back to life??? It's the way she gaslights Penny in V8 when the poor girl is rightfully questioning their fucked up situation, telling her that she should not trust Ironwood while still using Penny herself. I felt bad for her in V9, but that still does not erase the fact that Ruby treated Penny like shit for two whole volumes.

What would have made you like it? - I did like Nuts and Dolts in the Beacon era, and the Bunta Kinami manga made me like their dynamic even more. So, I was very angry that the Atlas arc never expanded more on their relationship post-Fall, and instead just...made it stagnant. I would've loved to see how Ruby and Penny work through the whole trauma properly and grow even closer as friends instead of...you know.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? - I like the cuteness they have in the early volume. Penny is the ray of sunshine that Ruby's introverted ass needs, and that episode in Chibi was adorable with them watching the fireflies together.

Valentine's Day. A day Adem couldn't stand, although, admittedly it was because he found himself in a cycle of loving one person forever and not being able to be with her. The fact that she had agreed to hang out with him on this day seemed suspicious to him. Surely, her boyfriend should want to spend time with her on Valentine's Day? But he wasn't going to argue. Instead, he was going to take full advantage of having her for any time at all on this day. Selfishly, he prayed that these small moments would convince her to change her mind and maybe see her slowly falling in love with him, but luck had never been on his side when it came to that.

He had dragged her along with him to a party with fellow hockey players, friends, and their significant others... if they had them. Adem didn't want to show up alone, only to hear the incessant ragging he would inevitably get from the guys when he showed up along... again. Despite all his worries, everyone was having a good time, himself included, when he pulled Riley in the middle of all the people who were dancing. The song had been upbeat, lively, the mood high before it ended and the song transitioned to a slow one.

There was a small part of Adem that considered letting her walk off to stand on the side and watch the couples dance together. However, the selfish side of him couldn't let it stand. Instead, he smoothly wrapped an arm around her, pulling Riley into his body before swaying with her to the song that played. It didn't matter what the song was, he couldn't care less, but what he did notice was every last detail of her. He caught the familiar scent of her, the warmth of her body pressed against his, the familiarity of how she fit against him and how it always seemed to feel right. He turned his face into her hair ever so slightly, breathing in slowly as he tried to remember this small moment in time. He might not be able to say Riley was his, but right now he was able to forget all of those things and enjoy this time where it almost felt like she was.

Adem felt no need to talk, he didn't want to ruin the moment, but he silently thanked whatever power above had allowed him to steal her away for this. Despite there being other pairs around him enjoying a dance with one another, Adem didn't even notice them. It was hard to notice anything else that wasn't simply... her. The words he wanted to say were right on the tip of his tongue, but he held them in, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable. Still, as they swayed together, holding her just that little bit tighter, he thought to himself... I love you.

If Laurine had been liable to find one, it would almost certainly go without saying that Sammy was bound to find the next one, hidden where someone thought it wasn't going to be found.

But found it was, and into the kitsune's mouth it went with no hesitation. Only after it crossed the threshold of her lips did she stop to think something may be off, but it was too late.

Instantaneously, the almost 50 pounds of boob and belly fat cause her body's size to expand and make her look even more like she was supposed to be an expecting mother. Of course, small portions of the fat went to her southern hemisphere as well, adding itself more evenly than the majority of her new fat did.
