I AM DONE 😭😭 Exam week is behind me, I am literally sobbing, I am exhausted beyond repair, but it is done!! Five more days of work and then I (hopefully) shall have my life back-

#I wanna draw so bad - but I also want to sleep for 14 hours straight #also I should probably really not work next week I landed myself both once at the doctors office and once at the hospital last week #when I said 'I will finish this week even if it kills me' my body was like. 👀 I can do that #but honestly that was my own stupidity also #I could take this to the educational route but let me just say if you do have an infected wound anywhere go 👏 to 👏 your 👏 doctor #that being said I have at least one exam finished with 100% (which wasn't THAT hard) and I can talk about autoimmune responses and then-#I cough and I die #academia yes but absolutely no common sense #i'm still having a fever tho #I wanna sleep till next year

crazy how if you google “how many job applications per week” (which you probably shouldn’t google anyway) you get one result saying doing 2-3 a day is good, one result saying doing 5-10 a day is good, and one result saying doing 11-20 a day is good. So basically, do whatever the hell you want forever

#my thing is. HOW many of these jobs are real. HOW many of these places are actually hiring #one of the 2 i did today made you answer like 15 different questions about whether you’ve ever been late for work. ummmm.no #my plan is to apply at least 20 jobs over the next ummm week or two or so #and keep in mind these are all like nothingburger minimum wage retail jobs designed for stupid individuals such as myself #and if NONE of these places want me then i will know that the job market right now is probably bad for realsies #and so between like september 14-21 i will know if i should be looking for a place to stay for october #or looking for a plane ticket back so i don’t waste money chasing something that won’t happen #and IF it’s option B then i will make my brother hire me at dunkin for a few months until a) the job market improves #or b) i have enough money saved up that i could convince some landlord to rent to me while unemployed #because my thing about the money is like. i still have everything i saved when i worked at target #and i still remember what i endured in order to save all that money. so i absolutely am not dipping into that money #until i KNOW my life is headed in the right direction #and also when i got the job at target that was literally the 4th job i applied to in like 3 months #so if i apply to like 2 dozen jobs and none of them pan out then i’ll Know the timing is wrong. the market is bad #anyway pay me no mind i’ve only been back on the west coast 24 hours #i just had to go ahead and think through every possibility before my head asploded. #i really really need to get that adhd diagnosis 🫠#bc my bitchy reaction was because i didn't communicate early enough that i wouldn't be coming to a family thing today #in my defence i was never told any start time or anything else; just a 'will you be there' a week ago.#wasn't told who would be there or how long or what exactly #and tbh since i was only told like over dinner without anything written to remind me it didn't feel like a thing so important #that id have to give a few days notice #like im not the only one at fault here #sure i could have said that i have no energy to come earlier #ugh this feels like being a teenager all over again #every single fucking christmas my parents play tug of war for who of them im gonna visit on christmas #'but we don't want to guilt trip you' well cool i still feel guilt tripped i haven't stopped feeling guilt tripped since i was fucking 14 #it's fucking always spend time with us this spend time with us that as if i want to split up my fucking weekend #every fucking time i ride the train to my hometown for 4 hours with oh yes even more traveling #it's always the 'no pressure but we want to see you again' like saying no pressure somehow takes off all pressure #at least my mom openly guilt trips me while my dad and stepmom somehow believe that they're not stressing me tf out #i swear next year im going to neither on christmas. maybe going to my boyfriend.

im SOOOOO grateful my dnd party isn’t bigger actually wtf .

#the struggle when 1 of you works office hours and the other 3 work SO irregularly #planning was getting so messy we had to make an excel sheet for who’s available when 😭#by we I mean I. I made an excel sheet. It was fun though. I willingly did it.#see also our planning session. i was thinking character creation would be quick. no. we spent 6 hours.#i was like. it’s only 3 ppl it’s FINE #but turns out when you have to be looking up rules for spells and shit as you go + the players don’t know how to roll for their stats it uh.#Gets a lot messier and more complicated.#Rolling for stats is SO bad to explain. Have you ever tried to explain that to a complete beginner? Don’t. Use the stat block.#Also i did the thing where if their modifiers totaled to less than +2 they get to re roll #nd that meant A LOT of math and A LOT OF REROLLING #also I made them reroll if they were TOO op (one player rolled like 3 15s and a 14…) which also happened unbelievably many times #one of them kept rolling so badly and I was like ok let me roll. and her first stat i rolled fucking 5…#(total modifier sum was like. negative so we scratched that lmfao)#I might change the way I work w stats next character creation session bc it felt like a veeeery flawed way to go about things #But hey at least they got the hang of rolling for stats :D #z talks #not horse game

i start my first day at work tomorrow and like. i don’t wanna

#i was supposed to start today but it had to be pushed back to tomorrow instead #which is like. fine because i didnt want to start today but now i have to work both tuesday and wednesday #which is also fine but the hours are odd so like. it’s simultaneously not #i also literally dont even know what to expect out of this job like it’s literally just an office job #and is nothing that i havent done before #i also think im the only one they hired which is great and all but now i have no other new hire to commiserate with #which is tragic #this next month is honestly just going to be very odd because i got hired at what is arguably my jobs busiest time of year #and then in the middle of that i wont be working for them for a week because i have to go work my on campus job #which is ALSO going to incredibly suck because i’ll be working at LEAST 14 hours a day for an entire week and a half straight #it’s basically a week long orientation for the incoming freshman and an introduction for then #so i’ll go from working decent hours with my first job to horrendous hours with my second job #which ends literally the day before classes start #so if i stop posting on here it’s because i’ve either died of exhaustion or killed myself #whichever comes first tbh #anyway the point of this is that the money will be nice but quite literally at what cost to my sanity #lacey talks

????????? If the company decided this they most definitely should have let us know 50 years ago and I could have used my vacation week as vacation days and not lose it.

woohoo my sisters new cars engine keeps overheating. yay

found out the other day my coworker makes $12 an hour. and I said my guy you need to ask for me considering the shit you go through and hes like I actually asked for that much on purpose and im like you do you but now im thinking I should have said $20 lmao
