Is Audi A6 High maintenance on Indian Roads
While the Audi A6 is considered luxurious, it could require higher upkeep on Indian roads because of elements such as potholes, uneven surfaces, and harsh climate conditions. Regular servicing and the right care are critical to ensure the most fulfilling performance and sturdiness in Indian Avenue situations. If you need your Audi serviced or inspected, visit a nearby repair shop or the dealership. With regular maintenance, you can drive your car smoothly. You can buy Audi a6 spare parts and ensure hassle-free rides in your luxury car.
Tumblr media
Even if you plan to sell your Audi for a newer model in a few years, keep its value up to maximise its trade-in value. Pay attention to a few settings that need more frequent inspections to extend your Audi's lifespan. Find and follow the service and maintenance instructions in your user's manual. Make it a habit to check your car's lights and signals, tyres, battery, oil and any other warning signals every week. Maintaining your Audi's health and longevity requires following the recommended schedule. Even without routine maintenance, you can keep your car in good condition. When you take your Audi in for maintenance with Audi a6 spare parts, be sure to follow these five simple steps:
Signals and Lights
To know what needs fixing in your Audi, you should first check the engine lights and signals—hazard lights, brake lights, headlights, turn signals, etc. The check engine light will come on if Audi's computer detects a problem. These lights will blink if the vehicle computer detects emission control system issues. Avoid major losses or accidents by remaining vigilant and watching for these signs.
Change of Oil
Because it is one of the most important components that keeps your car's critical gears turning, you should always be aware of the oil level in your vehicle. To determine if an oil change is necessary for your Audi:
Use the dipstick to check the oil level.
Use the appropriate variant of oil recommended for your Audi model.
When oiling your engine, be careful to use the correct type.
Different engine types require different oils to run smoothly; turbocharged cars are best lubricated with synthetic oil. Remember that your vehicle can exceed 1,000 miles between oil changes if you maintain a regular maintenance schedule.
Battery
Do a battery test on your Audi every three months or every three thousand miles. The battery can last longer with regular inspections during minor repairs, oil changes, or dealership maintenance. Even if you rarely ride, recharge your battery once a week rather than leaving it in the garage. Most Audi batteries last three to five years. Replace the Audi battery, just in case. It won't cost much, but being safe is better than sorry. If the battery is getting low, you can test it by turning down the interior lights or headlights. The light intensity decreases at low battery levels but increases with acceleration.
Brakes
The Audi brakes are among the most reliable parts of the vehicle. Inspect your brakes thoroughly every six months for any indications of improper functioning. If the humming noises change in pitch and volume as the engine speed changes, it could be a sign of wheel bearing problems that need fixing or replacing. As a result, you must guarantee that it is operating correctly. As a general rule, you should change the brake fluids every two to three years or after you've driven thirty thousand kilometres, so be sure to check for the need to do so. If your Audi's brake pad warning light comes on, replace the front brake rotors or pads. Avoid applying pressure directly to the brake disc or pad when washing your car; doing so might cause corrosion and additional damage. You must check all the Audi a6 spare parts.
Tyre
Check for and fix common problems like low tyre pressure or other general flaws for comfort and performance. Tyre wear can reduce a vehicle's efficiency and increase the risk of an accident, so it is important to inspect them regularly. Maintain your tyres by checking on them as soon as every two weeks. When there is a pressure drop, your Audi will let you know through the onboard monitor and noticeable changes in fuel consumption. Many Audis have this as part of their electronic stabilisation programme (ESP), which monitors the pressure in the tyres. Even more fuel waste can occur if even one tyre lacks air pressure.
Conclusion
Maintaining a regular agenda for washing and cleansing the car will ensure it is usually high-quality. To wash the surface clean, use regular water. If you want to keep your car's shine, upholstery, and paint pristine, you should only wash the inside and outside using products designed specifically for cars. If you are looking for the top Audi service centre and Audi a6 spare parts, look at the Kaxton Auto Parts website. They have everything you need when it comes to car care. Check out these deals on auto body repairs, maintenance, and other services. Look through their list of nearby garages that meet your requirements, choose from their many services, and receive quick quotes on the ones you like.

How Can You Purchase Audi Parts Online Safely, Especially In Dubai?
Finding authentic parts is essential for maintaining the longevity and best performance of your Audi. Online shopping for Audi components has grown in popularity in the current digital era since it is convenient and easily accessible. But it can be difficult to sort through the wide range of possibilities, especially if you want to be sure the components are genuine and of high quality—especially in a place like Dubai, which is well-known for its luxury automobile industry. With an emphasis on the Dubai market, they'll go over several ways to safely buy Audi parts online, in this extensive article.
Recognizing the Value of Original Audi Parts
It's important to comprehend why choosing original components is crucial when looking at where to get Audi parts online. Genuine Audi parts are made with care to adhere to the exacting standards that the brand has established. They are designed to operate, depend on, and safely smoothly interact with your car. The integrity of your Audi may be jeopardised by using aftermarket or fake parts, which could result in problems or even safety risks.
Audi Parts Online Purchase Considerations
Veracity: Authenticity is the most important factor to take into account when buying Audi parts online. Seek certifications or authenticity assurances to protect yourself against fake goods.
Sort Catalogue: Select platforms that provide an extensive selection of Audi parts to accommodate different models and needs. You can discover everything you need in one location thanks to a wide choice of products, which includes anything from specialised parts for performance enhancements to filters and brake pads for regular maintenance.
Transparency in Pricing: It's essential to have transparent pricing to make wise purchases. Watch out for any unstated charges or excessive shipping expenses that could drive up the total cost. To make sure you're getting a good deal without sacrificing quality, compare pricing on several sites.
Ratings and Reviews from Customers: Read consumer reviews and ratings before committing to a purchase. Prior customer reviews can offer insightful information about the platform's dependability, the calibre of the goods, and the calibre of customer support.
Shipping and Returns Policy: Take into account the available shipping methods and the anticipated delivery dates, particularly if you require the components immediately. In addition, become acquainted with the returns policy in case there are any problems or you need to exchange the parts.
Where to Buy Audi Parts Online Safely
Authorised Dealers of Audi Parts: Several internet merchants focus only on selling Audi parts in Dubai. These platforms, which provide a carefully chosen assortment of authentic components obtained straight from approved sources, frequently possess a thorough understanding of the brand and its goods. You can be sure that the parts are genuine and of high quality if you purchase from these merchants.
Audi Parts Official Website: Genuine parts and accessories are available for purchase from the official internet stores of many automakers, including Audi. Because of their close ties to the brand, these platforms guarantee authenticity and suitability for your car. Purchasing directly from the source gives you the peace of mind that comes with somewhat higher prices than third-party sellers.
Verified Seller Marketplaces: Many sellers selling Audi parts may be found on e-commerce sites such as eBay and Amazon. Selecting vendors with a track record of selling authentic products is crucial, even when these platforms provide a large assortment and affordable prices. To reduce the chance of buying phony or inferior parts, look for merchants with excellent ratings and reviews.
Regional Distributors and Dealerships: Authentic components can be purchased online from several authorised Audi dealerships and distributors in Dubai. These businesses follow stringent quality requirements and have a direct affiliation with the brand. Buying from a nearby dealership entitles you to prompt shipping and dependable customer service.
Virtual Discussion Boards and Communities: Finding authentic components can be facilitated by participating in internet forums and communities devoted to Audi aficionados. Members frequently exchange, purchase, and sell parts with one another, relying on their combined expertise and experience to guarantee authenticity. However, before completing any transactions, proceed with caution and confirm the legitimacy of the sellers.
Coverage Under Warranty: For extra peace of mind, find out about warranty coverage when buying Audi parts online. A manufacturer's warranty is frequently included with genuine parts, shielding you from flaws or malfunctions. To fully utilise the benefits of the warranty, make sure you comprehend all of its terms and conditions.
Fitness for Your Audi Model: Make sure the items you're buying fit the particular model and year of your Audi. Even though many parts might seem comparable, compatibility and performance may be impacted by minute variations in design or specifications. Before making a purchase, check compatibility by consulting the owner's manual or a qualified specialist for your car.
Technical Support and Customer Service: Select platforms that provide strong technical support and customer service to answer any questions or concerns you may have. A seamless shopping experience is guaranteed by dependable customer service, which also offers aid if you run into any problems with the parts or installation procedure.
Continuing Maintenance and Support: Take into account making purchases from platforms that provide services for continuing maintenance and support, including maintenance advice, troubleshooting manuals, and instructional videos.
Safe Methods of Payment: Platforms that provide secure payment choices should be given priority if you want to protect your financial and personal data. Seek reputable payment processors and encrypted payment gateways to reduce the possibility of fraudulent or unapproved transactions.
Conclusion:
For Audi owners, online purchasing of components is incredibly convenient and accessible, especially in Dubai. When making purchases, it's crucial to put quality, safety, and authenticity first. You may shop with confidence for authentic Audi parts online if you take into account aspects like legitimacy, product range, pricing transparency, and customer reviews. Whether you go with specialised Audi parts merchants, official Audi parts websites, verified marketplaces, neighbourhood dealerships, or online discussion boards, be sure the platform you choose satisfies your needs and offers the required guarantees of genuineness and excellence. You may have a flawless shopping experience and keep your Audi's performance and dependability for many years to come if you do your homework and work diligently.

5 + sebchal 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hi!!! Sorry this took all day, I don't know how to write short things. Hope you enjoy! 💚
sebchal + "I guess you are right" - send me a prompt!
Charles had changed his mind no less than fifty times about whether or not he should have simply flown to Switzerland instead of driving all the way up from Monaco. He’d already spent a good sleepless night before he left weighing up the pros and cons – flying would definitely have gotten the whole thing over with whatever the outcome, but driving through the French countryside and most of Switzerland gave Charles the most time to try and prepare a speech.
(The quickest way would have been to drive to Milan and then go North, but Charles wanted all the extra seconds the universe could spare him).
He’d spent the night at a hotel in Geneva that he couldn’t remember anything about other than the luxury setting and soft sheets, Charles still wasn’t able to think about much other than his destination.
He and Seb still exchanged Christmas cards, and Charles cherished every single one, which was why he thankfully didn’t have to ask Mia to ask Britta for Sebastian’s address. Something that would have added an extra layer of embarrassment to what Charles was about to do, maybe to the point of talking himself out of it, but he was glad that the irrational part of his mind was still winning out as he threw his weekend bag into the boot of his car (not his custom Ferrari, but a rental white Audi. He wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible).
Charles had expected the weather to be nicer for the second week of August, but instead the air was cool and the sky a barely there grey as he set off on the next leg of his journey.
He didn’t realise that he was in love with Sebastian until their last race as teammates, and every day since he’d kept his feelings buried so deep down there would be moments Charles would almost forget they were there. But then he’d see an Aston Martin drive past him, or a butterfly hovering on a flower and they would come back to the surface almost ten time stronger.
And now that Sebastian only had nine races left in his F1 career, for better or worse Charles decided he had to go to Switzerland to finally tell him how he felt.
The sky darkened the further into Switzerland Charles drove, and by the time he was 20 kilometres past Bern thick heavy raindrops started to batter the windscreen. He briefly considered pulling over at a service station but there was a small fire in his chest telling him to keep going, to keep driving.
Even in the pouring rain, Switzerland was beautiful. The deep green forests, the towering mountains that put the ones in Monaco to shame, the deep blue lakes that looked so much like Sebastian’s eyes it was borderline unnerving. Charles knew from the handful of pictures Seb had shown him over the years why Seb called the country home. There was a split second where Charles felt like he might be able to call it home too, but he gripped his hands tighter round the steering wheel to snap himself out of it.
As the pit of his stomach kept telling him, there was no guarantee Sebastian would now or ever love Charles back.
He allowed himself ten minutes at a service station just outside Lucerne for an espresso and a pep talk. After all, how hard would it really be to tell an ex-teammate that Charles was so in love with him he felt like bursting into flames if they were stood too close together.
Back in the driver’s seat, Charles gently brushed his hands down his navy button up shirt before resting them in his lap, allowing himself one deep breath before starting the car again, and driving away.
The closer he got to Sebastian’s house the more his throat seemed to tighten, to the point where he almost couldn’t breathe when Charles finally turned off the motorway and the satnav told him he would be at his destination in five short kilometres.
At some point the intensity of the rain had decreased to a light drizzle, Charles barely noticed it as he stepped out of the car but that might have been because he was fixated on the very unassuming front door to Sebastian’s house.
It was a dark wood with black metal fixtures screwed into it, and a tiny square glass window near the top. Charles was tall enough to look through it but he couldn’t see anything, as the rain started to fall heavier once more.
His whole mouth felt dry to the point he wasn’t sure if he would be able to get a word out let alone a sentence, and he realised that he’d left his coat in the car but he couldn’t turn and get it now when he was so close. Instead Charles slowly curled his right hand into a fist, and he knocked his knuckles against the wood three times.
All Charles could hear was the sound of the rain hitting the ground.
What was he thinking?! He should have called first, or at least texted Seb back in Lucerne to see if he was at home. For all Charles’ luck Sebastian was back in Heppenheim visiting his family and friends, or on holiday somewhere with someone that wasn’t Charles.
Why did he drive all this way in the hope that Sebastian already loved him in return?
Charles forced down a large gulp and bit down on his lip as he took two small steps away from the door. He didn’t want to leave, but maybe he had to. Maybe he would be better off letting his dreams of Sebastian go, maybe it would be easier this way.
He had just moved his left foot to turn himself round when the door opened.
“Charles?” And there Seb was, his gorgeous blue eyes wide as he looked Charles up and down in complete disbelief.
“Seb.” Charles said his name with a sigh of relief and a bright smile. He was right there, barely two metres away. If Charles tried hard enough he could probably smell Seb’s aftershave alongside the rain.
“What are you doing here?” “I love you.”
They both said at the exact same time, their faces fell mirroring each other perfectly.
“I’m sorry.” Charles said quickly. “I didn’t… I couldn’t keep it in anymore. I had to tell you before you left.”
Seb’s eyes glanced past Charles at the Audi with its French licence plate, and quickly put two and two together.
“You…” The hand that had been rested against the door frame fell to Seb’s side. He was wearing a light grey crewneck that Charles was sure he’d seen Seb wear on multiple factory visits to Maranello paired with dark jeans and navy socks. “You drove all the way here?”
“I know it’s stupid.” Charles wasn’t sure if he was speaking about his feelings or his life choices. “I couldn’t tell you over the phone, I wanted to see you before Spa because if I don’t tell you now I don’t think I ever will. Because in time I’ll be able to live with not winning the title this year but I not if I say goodbye to you without you knowing how I feel.” The words tumbled out of his mouth almost as fast as the rain was falling from the sky. Charles briefly panted to regain his breath while his heart continued to hammer against his ribcage. He was soaked through now, but he didn’t care. He already knew that Seb turning him down would be worse. Clothes could dry but broken hearts were always harder to fix.
Sebastian blinked slowly, not once had his eyes left Charles’ face since he clocked the rental car parked in his driveway. His eyes were still wide, they looked like an ocean Charles would happily down in.
It was only when Charles realised that Seb still hadn’t said anything at all, that he opened his moth to start forming an apology, only to be cut off by Sebastian lurching forwards to cup his warm hands around Charles’ jaw as he tilted his head down to kiss him.
It was a fairly chaste kiss, but it was more than enough.
“You need to get inside.” Seb said quickly after he pulled away, his eyes darted all over Charles sodden clothes. “You should have worn a coat!”
Charles’ head now felt so light he had to grip onto Seb’s forearms out of fear he was about to float away.
“I guess you are right.” He said with a lazy smile, and he let Sebastian pull him inside the warm house. “I have a bag in the car-” Charles said as Sebastian shut the door behind them.
“Later.” Seb said firmly, pulling Charles in for a longer, deeper kiss.

Williams fans need to sit the fuck down and need to start taking comprehension skills lesson. He’s not laughing about the Williams news because he thinks he’s above that team and he fumbled the seat or whatever the fuck y’all are saying, he said he laughed because the media keeps saying he “signed” with a team every other day.
Because it’s true, the media has said he’s signed with different team in every other race weekend and every one takes that speculation - that’s all they have btw, speculations and rumours- and just runs with it.
Y’all were upset he was gonna take Logan’s seat and now when there’s a possibility of that not happening y’all are still mad and that too because y’all lack comprehension skills. gtfo. 🙄
I love y’all, I am one of y’all. But please bffr. Saying he fumbled not only the Mercedes seat, and the Williams seat (because according to y’all that’s why he’s laughing about the rumours 🫤…) but also the Audi seat and he’s going to Haas. He never fumbled Audi btw. They still want him. The whole deadline thing was all a speculation that both parties have denied.
I think we should focus more on how Williams doesn’t have spare parts and how Logan’s driving with the 2023 car parts and still doesn’t have the new upgrades rather than being mad about thinking Carlos was laughing at the team when he really wasn’t.

So I've been looking around online and it seems people are pretty split on the Carlos likely to Williams thing. Some are just happy he gets a seat; a select few are worrying about this like it's the end of his career. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Carlos going to Williams is a good thing.
With the state of the grid as is, he was never going to get a seat as good as the Ferrari one, unless it was at Red Bull. Mercedes was an option, but given how they've plainly decided to throw all their eggs into the Kimi Antonelli basket (it would honestly be smarter if they were to wait a year because giving drivers inadequate F2 experience has always put extreme pressure on their shoulders) the only teams left with spaces on the grid are Alpine, Haas, Williams, and Sauber.
Alpine and Haas are terrible choices for obvious reasons. Sauber may become something once Audi takes over, but terrible car aside it's lacking so many things that could make an efficient Formula 1 team - terrible pit stop equipment, non-existent social media and marketing, no vision regarding car upgrades. It's a "works" team only in name. Audi might change that but it'll take time.
Now Williams isn't a solid upper midfield car yet. But they've come a long way in the last two years from the spreadsheet-spamming chaotic nil-marketing team they were before. They've got a lot of work to do. Their car's currently overweight. But their trajectory is one of gradual logistical and engineering improvement, and sponsor-wise they're getting more and more funding. It'll be while until they get enough to have all the spare parts they need every race weekend, but they're getting there.
It'll still be tough to swallow given we're used to Carlos getting podiums and occasional wins now but with two experienced drivers in Williams they'll get a chance to point development in a good direction. It'll suck for Logan, too. But from Carlos's point of view it's the best choice he's got.

Two Minutes (Kieran Tierney)
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Word Count: 1.5k
Summary: Kieran isn’t very good with words, which leads to you thinking he doesn’t care, which he very much does. Requested by @oh-saints
Kieran is a man of few words. You learned that very early on when you met him. His actions speak louder anyway; what be can't say with his mouth, he'll let you know through his actions. Well, in most cases that is.
Before you officially started dating, Kieran was an attentive man. He sent you messages after dates to make sure you got home okay and sent you flowers after your first dinner together. Now that you're officially his girlfriend though, something seems to have shifted. You don't hear from him as often. When you do, it's rarely anything substantial, usually only a quick chat about your days before he's yawning and telling you he needs to rest.
You lay in bed, staring at your phone. For the third night in a row, you wait up for a text that doesn't come. Kieran's been busy with training for the London derby tomorrow and your schedules haven't lined up to let you see each other for what feels like ages. You miss him, plain and simple. You'd do anything to see him for five minutes. But apparently, Kieran doesn't miss you enough to so much as send you a short message before bed.
It isn't too much to ask for. You message him a few times throughout your day, updating him on the monotonous things in your life like your exam scores and the fact that the kitchen on campus ran out of jam and muffins this morning. He's read them but hasn't replied to a single one, and that's getting on your nerves.
Three dots appear on your screen and you almost think you're hallucinating until a message pops up.
Hey, sorry I've been so busy. Are you still coming to the match tomorrow?
You want to leave him on read so he knows how you've felt all day. However that's just not something you can do; you'll take any opportunity you can to hear from him, seeing as you're not sure when you'll get the chance again.
That's my plan! Are you busy now? We could maybe facetime xx
I really need to get to bed… but I'll see you at the stadium?
Kieran's message pulls the plug on your mental sink, draining your excitement in seconds. Can't he spare two minutes so you can lay eyes on him? At this point you're half convinced he wants nothing to do with you and is just stringing you along.
Oh, yeah of course. Sleep tight Kieran xx
You don't bother waiting for a response when you know it won't come. He's probably already plugged his phone into the charger and put it face down on his nightstand. He's probably put on his white noise machine playing and is cuddled up under his fuzzy white blanket, waiting for sleep to take him.
The irony is, you know Kieran's pre-matchday routine like the back of your hand, but you doubt he could even tell you how you like your eggs. You could make him a full breakfast just the way he likes, with his fruit in a separate bowl from his oatmeal and everything, and he doesn't even know if you like fruit.
Overall, you can't shake the feeling that Kieran just doesn't care. Is it irrational? Maybe, but if he cared, he'd try and make time for you, wouldn't he? Even just two minutes, that's all you're asking for. Two minutes of his time. Apparently, that's too high of a cost for Kieran to pay.
**********
You suppose the nice part of being a wag is the fact that you don't need to pay for parking. You're allowed to park in the same lot as the players, which is a treat considering you also don't need to wait in a long, winding line to get inside.
You're early. Like, really early. When you woke up this morning you decided you were going to see Kieran whether he wanted to or not- so here you sit, scrolling through Instagram on your phone while you wait for Kieran to pull in. And he can't miss you either; you made sure to park in his unassigned assigned spot so he can't claim he didn't see you.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spot a gray Audi. Your heart becomes stuck in your throat as it parks next to you. You force yourself to wait until Kieran knocks on your window to roll it down and look up at his smiling face.
"Hey, I didn't expect to see you here so early. Wow- you went all out today didn't you?"
You bristle, glancing down at your jeans and Arsenal jersey with Kieran's number in the center of your chest. You barely bothered to do your hair and you only put on a minimal amount of makeup. What's he trying to say, that you don't normally put any effort in?
You shake your head, "I wanted to see you before your match today so I could wish you luck. Seeing as you've barely spoken to me all week."
Kieran's face softens and you almost feel guilty. "Right, I'm sorry about that. I've been busy like I said-"
"Too busy to text me and say goodnight?"
You don't mean to accuse him so directly before an important game. It just tumbles out of you like rocks down a hillside, and you're powerless to stop it. You can't take the words back once they're spoken, despite the fact that Kieran looks like you've slapped him.
Kieran straightens with a sigh. His hand falls off your door and you begin to panic as he walks away, tears pricking your eyes. That's one way to break up with someone you suppose. You rest your head on the wheel, nearly jumping out of your skin when the passenger door opens and Kieran climbs inside.
"What are you-"
"I'm not going inside until I've spoken to you about this." Okay, maybe you should stop jumping to conclusions, because Kieran looks as close to tears as you are. He takes a breath, reaching across for your hand. After a week of nothing, his touch does wonders to calm your frayed nerves. You feel your panic ebbing away like the tide, soothed by the way his thumb rubs over your knuckles.
"Look, I'm terrible at communicating. I'm doing my best but clearly I'm not doing enough, because I don't mean to make you feel like this."
"It feels like you don't care anymore." Your voice is a barely recognizable whisper, heavy with months of pent up emotion. Your throat feels raw, though a weight lifts off your shoulders as you finally lay it out for him, "in the beginning you were so in tune with me? Sweet gestures all the time, messages to check in on me… what's changed Kieran? Is it something I did?"
"No, no, my love, you haven't done anything I promise," Kieran murmurs, quick to soothe you. "We started dating during the off season, remember? I had so much more time then than I do now. I realize that isn't an excuse but most days I come home from training and literally head right to bed after I eat. Getting back in the swing of things has been exhausting. And it doesn't help that I really have no idea what I'm doing here. You're the first proper girlfriend I've had."
"Wait… I am?"
Kieran nods, his cheeks red. "Yeah, you are. So I'm doing what I think I'm supposed to but like I said, I have no idea. I'll message you more, okay? I promise you that. And I'll make more of an effort to see you. Actually, take this."
Kieran digs in his pocket and pulls out his key ring, removing a silver key and placing it in your palm. "You can come to mine whenever you want, okay? I wouldn't mind walking in and having you be the first thing I see when I get home."
"This is your house key."
"Uh huh."
"Like, you're giving me a key to your house."
"Aye sweetheart I am. I hope that's alright?"
You stare at the metal in your hand. Suddenly you feel stupid for doubting him when he clearly has perfectly valid reasons for being distant lately. You have trusted Kieran since the day you met and he hasn't given you a reason to doubt him. Your insecurities simply got the best of you this time, but you're determined not to let it happen again.
"It's perfect Kieran. Just like you." You smile, grabbing the front of Kieran's shirt and pull him to you for a passionate, heavy kiss that certainly isn't appropriate for your surroundings, not when one of his teammates honks when they drive by. You break apart, both laughing as you try to catch your breath.
"Go get 'em, Key. Score a goal for me."
"Anything you say sweetheart. I'll meet you at home after, yeah?"
"I'll be waiting."

In the Night (Tangerine X Reader)
This song has such a grip on my coochie I just HAD to write something for this. Reader suffers from British nationality syndrome. I'm considering not making it a one shot and writing a second part (or more hehe) but we shall see...
Tumblr media
I sighed shakily, taking another puff of my cigarette and watching the cloud form in the air. I looked down at the concrete road. The cold from the air and the sidewalk was just getting to me, but I ignored it as the warmth on my face from the fire brought me the comfort I needed. I sniffled, looking down the road. One, two, three. Three bodies. Or at least I presume they were dead. Anyone alive over there didn't care enough to check them over for any signs of life as they screamed and ran away, disappearing in the distance. Good. They'd stood by for so long without sparing me a second glance that I couldn't care less whether their bodies were rotting away in full view of everyone.
...
Damn.
I really wasn't the same girl I used to be. I sniffled, looking down at the concrete again and letting my hair fall over my face. The bright eyed girl who'd just wanted to be special to someone. I wiped a hand across my eyes, swallowing hard. There's no need to cry now. It's all okay.
"You're Poison's girlfriend, aren't ya luv?" I lifted my head and looked up at where the voice had come from. It was him again. One of the special customers, as they'd explained at the door. They'd looked like any other customer back then, but the bloody rain mac he had on now dispelled the illusion of an average man.
"Officially, yes." I blinked a few times, hoping to blink the tears away as he sat down on the sidewalk next to me, his elbows on his knees as he looked ahead.
"You were in our briefing. We were told we'd get paid extra if you survived uninjured. So I came to check up on you." He looked at me, a smile forming under his moustache. He pointed at the car he'd arrived in with the other guy, now flipped over and completely destroyed. "I've gotta pay for a new car, after all." I nodded, not quite registering his words.
"I heard Zeus has a nice car for sale." I took another puff of my cigarette and looked away, still trying to get my tears under control.
"It's the Audi A7 Sportback, innit? I'll have to tell Lemon. Not like he actually gives a fuck about cars. He'd prefer a ride in a train." He sighed, running a hand down his face.
"Lemon?" I asked, looking at him again from behind a few strands of hair. He looked at me for a second then reached out a hand, brushing the strands behind my ear.
"My brother's codename. I'm Tangerine." He said, placing his hand on his chest as he introduced himself. I smiled weakly, whether it was at the gentleness of the touch or the silly codenames I wasn't quite sure.
"Sounds sophisticated." I said, glancing at the rings on his fingers. Poison probably would've accepted one of them as payment for me. "I..." I hesitated, "I have a question."
"Shoot."
"...Why now?" I swallowed again, hoping I didn't sound like I was choking up. "I mean, I've been here for a decade now and nobody's even tried to do anything. So why now?"
"Well, the short answer is that we just got a contract." He sighed, running a hand down his jaw. Something in his mind clicked as he snapped his head towards me, blue eyes boring into mine, "A decade? Ain't you 24?"
"You don't know much about the world at that age." I said, taking another deep breath and dropping the cigarette, stomping on it. "He knew that."
"Good thing the sick bastard's dead then. You don't have to deal with that anymore."
"So that's it then? It's all over?" I asked, wrapping my arms around myself as I tried to suppress a shiver. He looked at me and nodded, then proceeded to take his rain mac off.
"Poison's dead, his mates are dead and his only hideout and possessions are being destroyed as we speak." He put the rain mac on his other side then slipped his suit jacket off. "I'd safely say it's all over." He turned back to me, gently putting his jacket over my shoulders. I held it, pulling it closer to my body as I shot him a smile.
"Thanks."
"No need," he put a hand up, giving me that same warm smile, "but yeah, as I was saying, it's over. You can do whatever the fuck you want now. Get a normal job, go back to your family, I don't know." He reached into his waistcoat pocket, pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. The more he talked, the more I felt at ease. It wasn't quite the feeling I'd expect to get from someone I'd just seen use one of the high heels in my room to stab my 'boyfriend' in the eye, and yet I felt more comfortable than ever.
"I don't have the money to see them. I don't think they'd want to see me anyway." I sighed, grabbing the jacket and closing it to get away from the cold. He put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it, putting the lighter away and puffing out a cloud of smoke into the night air. There was a moment of silence as I sat dead still and he smoked, and I let the peace of the situation wash over me. Sure, there were still people screaming and the roaring of the fire right in front of us was louder and brighter than ever, but it felt like it was just us two in an empty abyss.
"I'd move to a different city if I were you. This place is gonna reek of wannabe gangsters now that the top dog's gone." He said while tapping on his cigarette, watching the ashes fall and mix with the rest of the grime on the road.
"Well you did just burn down my only home, so I'm gonna have to make do with the cheap flats around here." I picked at my fishnet tights, wondering when I'd finally be able to take them off and wear something normal. Maybe now I could wear a tracksuit. Maybe even a hoodie. He fiddled with his rings and stared ahead, like he had just floated off into his own world.
"Give me your hand, love." He said, extending one hand towards me. I glanced at him then slipped a hand out from under the jacket, placing it in his. He turned it round then placed his other hand on top, pressing something cold into my palm before retracting his hands. I looked down at my hand with parted lips. A gold ring. "If you get it to the right pawnshop it should be enough to leave this shithole behind and start new."
"Tangerine I..." I looked down at it again, inspecting it more closely. Yep, this is real gold. The shine and the weight did not lie. "I can't take this."
"Yes you can." He flicked his cigarette and stood up, "and keep the jacket too. It's supposed to get even colder tonight."
"But-"
"Tangerine!" Another voice interrupted me. We both looked to the alleyway by the burning club, where we saw the other guy. Lemon, if I remembered correctly. He also had a rain mac on and was holding a gun in one hand, yet we all knew there was no need for it anymore. "I got it all."
"Let's get the fuck out of here then." Tangerine looked back down at me one last time and flashed me a smile, the fire giving half his face a warm glow, "Go live your life sweetheart." With that he turned and headed towards Lemon, the two disappearing down the main road and into the darkness. I looked back down at the gold ring. My new life. I held it up to my chest, watching through blurry eyes as the building finally collapsed, sending sparks high up into the air. I reached down, undoing the straps on my stilettos before grabbing them and chucking them across the road, as close to the fire as I could. I stood up and with a final glance at the ruin I walked in the opposite direction, laughing through my tears as I looked up at the night sky.
It was over.

Chapter 6 Christmas in Velaris - Gwynriel
As he closed the car door she already walked up to him, instead of a greeting she said “Audi Q7, perfect car for an evil mastermind.”
With slow contemplative steps, she made her way towards his car, “On second thought, maybe a Jaguar F7 is more your vibe.” She moved one hand conspiratorially under her chin to add, “A black one of course.”
“Too flashy for me,” He responded with a smile. He forgot about her knack for cars. He couldn’t care less. As long as they took him from A to B, that was all he cared about.

December 7th, 21:15
The marble scuffed under his black Oxford shoes as he made his way out of Black. inc. The Tech company he founded ten years ago was completely desolate at this time of night. That wasn’t something new- him leaving before 10 pm was. He usually preferred this time of day to conduct business- fewer people needed something from him, and quietness was a given instead of a demand.
As he walked down the stairs he asked himself again, why was he about to step into his car and drive to a place that was bustling with people? Even worse, cheery people.
Last night’s conversation flashed back into his mind. He had every intention to go to her place and not partake in the ridiculous Christmas competition. It seemed like a colossal waste of time, and he hated Christmas. But he had promised Nyx, and he wasn’t anything if not a man of his word.
That evening, he felt generous. Maybe it was the desperate look in her eyes or the desperately hideous interior of the place she now called home. Still, it wasn’t as bad as the bookshop downstairs, where he had to bite his tongue to not mention the mold or the ceiling that looked to be one strong wind away from collapsing. He could see how 15.000 dollars may come in handy.
It was definitely not the way her teal eyes sparkled with want or her lilting voice that always got her exactly what she wanted from him.
He was a reasonable man, so he gave her the option: “Give me ten reasons to join and I will.”
Azriel thought it was impossible. He could only name three, and he gave it more thought than he cared to admit- money, fame, and the Christmas spirit. Only two of them were legitimate reasons in his eyes.
And that was his last condition: there had to be legitimacy to every reason.
The smart copper-haired woman actually succeeded in listing ten logical reasons. She didn’t even need to think about it. It was as if there was a part of her brain that was permanently occupied with all things Christmas. He would have been impressed if he didn’t think it was so disturbing. As he leaned back into the red chair, he crossed one leg over the other and said “touché.”
That’s how he found himself in his car, driving towards “Duckers Farm”, the only place open past eight pm on a weekday. He could only imagine the horrendous things he was about to witness- stressed people, overexcited people, Christmas converters.
He was supposed to meet her there at 9:15, with only ten minutes to spare he pushed the gas pedal a little bit more. Meetings ran late and one client had to call in from China. He didn’t even have time to change out of his suit.
When he parked his car, he saw Gwyn standing next to her car under a street lamp. Tonight, she wore her usual red coat, flared jeans, and a red hat. Her cheeks were slightly red, and her freckles stood out even more on her pale skin.
As he closed the car door she already walked up to him, instead of a greeting she said “Audi Q7, perfect car for an evil mastermind.”
With slow contemplative steps, she made her way towards his car, “On second thought, maybe a Jaguar F7 is more your vibe.” One hand she moved conspiratorially under her chin to add, “A black one of course.”
“Too flashy for me,” He responded with a smile. He forgot about her knack for cars. He couldn’t care less. As long as they took him from A to B, that was all he cared about.
One look around the parking lot revealed only two other cars. A good start.
One hand grabbed his elbow more forcefully as she said, “Let’s goooo, I’ve been waiting here for so long.”
Feeling slightly guilty he asked, “Shit, I’m sorry, meetings ran late, how long have you been waiting for?”
“Two minutes,” she answered. “Two long minutes of looking at the trees and not being able to touch them, smell them, feel them. Do you know how long that is?” she asked seriously.
With a playful eye-roll, he followed her inside. There were rows and rows of Christmas trees for as far as his eyes could see. At the entrance, an older lady gave each person a ticket, “Oh my. Don’t tell the others but you’re the loveliest couple I’ve seen today. Absolutely gorgeous.”
Gwyn’s face became even more red as the words left her mouth in a hurry, “We’re not-“
“Why would you think-“
“No.”
Instead of adding to the word vomit, Azriel merely said “Thank you.” And took the ticket from her outstretched hand.
As they made their way inside, he teased “Am I so horrible to be in a fake partnership with?”
A new string of words came out of her full lips, “No. I mean-“
When she regained her footing she asked genuinely, “Why lie?”
“Why not?” He challenged with a smirk.
“Let’s pick out the Christmas tree, boyfriend,” she said as she took one of his hands in hers. He pushed away the thought of how nicely her smooth hand fit in his.
“I already know which one I want,” she said as she guided them towards a surprisingly beautiful tree. But they needed two. “And mine?”
“That is yours,” she corrected. “This one is mine,” she said as she pointed to one that looked almost exactly the same.
As she walked towards the end of the row she added, “I also want to get a smaller one for Mouse, then she can play with that one instead of the larger one,” she said with such a sigh it was clear that plan of action came from experience.
“I’ll be right back, I’ll ask them to cut all three for us.” And just like that she was gone again. She was nothing if not efficient. With some difficulty, he had to admit this wasn’t as bad as he thought.
Laughs sounded before he saw the copper-brown female. When he looked in the direction of the sound, a towering man who he could only describe as an American Thor followed Gwyn like a puppy dog.
On instinct, he stood a little straighter, pulled his shoulders back slightly, and his chin up higher. “Do you have another axe,” he asked the budget store Norwegian.
“Sure man, hold on, I’ll be right back.”
He couldn’t remember the last time he cut a tree, but he worked out. He could handle one lousy tree.
“Thank you, Troy,” Gwyn said as he came back with the axe.
Before Troy, not Thor handed him the axe, Azriel removed his coat and jacket to roll up his sleeves. With swift movements, he made the first cuts into the base of the tree in what was definitely not a competition for the manliest man.
Gwyn took up the space in the pathway, far away enough not to get accidentally hit, but close enough to enjoy the show.
With more strength than he thought was needed, he slowly made his way through the thick stem. With stealthy looks to the left, he saw Troy advancing just as quickly as him. A pang of pride shot through him.
With quicker slashes, he advanced at a pace that would lead him towards victory. As proven by the satisfying sound of the tree falling into the other row of trees.
His hands already started to lift in celebration pumps, before he remembered he was in public, and this was a competition. Instead, he took one look to his left, to reveal Gwyn, who looked straight back at him. Quicker than he liked, she moved towards her tree and said, “Thank you, Troy.”
“I hope this is not crossing some lines, but can I get your number?” He asked right in front of him.
Did he not see her pretend boyfriend was standing right behind her?
“Sure,” she said after a moment of contemplation.
He didn’t even have her new number. How dare he get it before him? How dare he get it at all?
With his back turned towards them he instead focused on the tree.
“I’ll see you later.” He said as he moved to walk away. “Bye,” she said as she walked towards the tree.
With bent legs, she prepared her back to pull the heavy tree up. Both trees weighed the same amount, and he already struggled with its weight.
“Let me help you,” he said as he dropped his tree and made his way toward hers.
“I got it,” she said as her face began to turn red under the strain.
With two hands, she held the base of the tree as she threw her entire weight into the battle. Her body stood almost horizontally, as she pulled the tree towards the entrance. It was impressive if it wasn’t also frightening.
He watched her struggle all the way towards the entrance, which she made all by herself, with two breaks in between, but still.
He threw the smaller three on top of his, as he made his way towards the entrance too.
When he reached the lady at the entrance, to give her the card back and pay, he was met with a disapproving look that made him glad looks couldn’t really kill.
With a shrug of his shoulders, he said I tried.
As his car, he saw her still struggling to fit the tree inside hers.
“Still glad you don’t have an evil mastermind's car?”
Maybe it was petty, but the look on her face was worth it.
“Need some help,” he added to alleviate some of it.
“I got it,” she responded.
“You can’t perform magic, Gwyn, it doesn’t fit.”
“I got it,” she repeated as she pushed one foot into the base of the three. Then she flung her entire back into the thick tree before she spewed a litany of curses he wished to know the origin of.
“Let me,” he finally said. He was met with a look of challenge that promised violence if he so much as touched the tree. So he added, “Let this evil mastermind do some good.”
“Alright, but don’t push them together.”
When she walked to the back of his car, she assessed the possibilities and concluded “Let’s fit them together, like puzzle pieces.”
With slight hesitation, and a lot of unwillingness to piss her off even further, he agreed. And he be damned, it actually worked- they both fit.

My Personal Steve Rogers Headcanons
Part 1/?
Tumblr media
The first time he went to a grocery store post-Capsicle, he very nearly had a public meltdown when he saw what 70 years of inflation did to the prices
He always makes “Back in my day…” statements unironically mainly to annoy Tony, and once Bucky comes back he joins in and Tony very nearly has an aneurysm because “Oh dear god, there’s two of them”
He loves taking you on walks in Brooklyn and showing you all the places he frequented growing up, and is sometimes pleasantly surprised when a place from his childhood barely changed at all since the 40s
He volunteers at the VA as an art therapy instructor when he has spare time, because he found that drawing and painting really helped him relax when his PTSD decided to aggressively announce its presence
He is very happy when record players and vinyls start coming back into fashion, and he’s especially happy because Bucky’s sister Rebecca put all of their stuff in a storage unit when they went MIA, and among their old stuff was his 1940s record player and the milk carton he kept all of his records in, which meant he didn’t have to go out and rebuy his entire collection
He loves going to Central Park in the fall and looking at all the leaves change color, and you even buy him a Polaroid camera so he can take pictures
To help him get caught up on modern pop culture, you pick a new show or movie to watch with him every couple of weeks, and most of them are early 2000s comedy-dramas and chick flicks (he liked Mean Girls a lot more than you thought he would, and now he unironically yells “SHE DOESN’T EVEN GO HERE” whenever there's an alien invasion)
He’s obsessed with Broadway. Back in the 40s, he only really knew about “Anything Goes”, “Oklahoma!”, and “Kiss Me, Kate”, but now that he’s in the present, he makes it his goal to see at least one new musical every couple of months, either on stage if it can be afforded, or the pro-shot or movie adaptation. His newly-discovered favorites are Newsies and Hamilton, but he is also a big fan of Wicked
He likes learning about potentially useless information that he doesn’t really need to know for the hell of it. No, he doesn’t need to know who invented aerosol cans, but he wants to, and who’s gonna stop him from learning about it?
He was genuinely befuddled the first time he rode in a modern car, and not even a fancy one like Tony's Audi R8 Spyder. Nat took him for a drive in a 2009 Nissan Altima once and he spent the first ten minutes messing with the seat mover buttons
A gentleman above all else. He opens doors for you, pulls out your chair when you go out to eat, gives you his hand to help you out of cars or down stairs, and will give you his arm whenever you're walking anywhere together, because Sarah raised him right, aiight?
When he learned about Dapper Day at Disneyland, he immediately dropped everything and borderline extorted Tony into arranging a trip to California for the team so they could go. You two go as Duchess and O'Malley from The Aristocats, and you almost die because of how good he looks in his outfit
For a while he thinks voice-to-text and voice notes work like telegrams did, so for a while you receive voice notes of him yelling "HI Y/N STOP ARE WE STILL ON FOR DINNER TONIGHT STOP I LOVE YOU STOP" until Tony finally sits him down and explains how it works, so then you start receiving normal texts and voice notes
He loves stargazing, but since he lives in modern New York he barely gets to see the stars anymore because of all the light pollution, so a few times a month you drive him a couple hours away from the city, and you just lay down in the grass somewhere and watch the stars together
He is very fond of board games. So much so that he insists on a weekly Board Game Night with the team. Monopoly was kicked out of the rotation because of a Code Green after Bruce caught Tony trying to steal money from the bank eight times in a row, and then he still won, but the most popular games are Clue and Sorry
He doesn't understand the obsession with true crime. He does however very much enjoy procedural dramas like Grey's Anatomy, 9-1-1, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Criminal Minds. He thinks they're interesting
He absolutely hates being cold. One time the heat went out in your apartment, and you came home to find him on your couch wrapped up in every single blanket you owned while grumpily watching Legally Blonde
He’s borderline addicted to flannels and Henley shirts. Like, you open his closet and he has one in every color of the rainbow. I mean, the man looks good in a flannel or a Henley so you’re not mad about it, but it’s becoming a teeny bit excessive
