Sorry but I'm still thinking about this: if Chosen really "wasn’t holding back" then Glasses would be dead. He’d either die from the cold or from lack of air or from electrocution.

By the time this moment happens, Chosen's lightning has already shorted out the other three jetskis (and I reiterate, his lightning seems to have only struck the jetskis, not their riders), leaving the other three mercs incapable of reaching him. With that one strike, he turned this encounter from a 4v1 into a 1v1.

Glasses has no backup, here. He's lost the advantage of numbers, the biggest advantage his team had, and he's taking on Chosen alone.

Why do I say that numbers were the team's biggest advantage, when Glasses still has his jetski with its glitch-shots?

Because those aren't much of an advantage if Chosen decides to just tank every single shot and power through the aftereffects regardless.

Whether this was a...smart decision on Chosen's part is up for debate, but the end result is that Chosen has nullified both of Glasses' advantages against him. Glasses never pulls out his toolbar until after he's landed on the ground and disembarked from his ride, most likely because he can't wield it effectively up in midair.

The only reason I can think of for Chosen to do something as foolhardy as not dodging the glitch-shots is because he wanted his landing to be as accurate as possible, so he didn't do anything that would alter his fall-path.

With how big his glacier ends up, he could've aimed in Glasses' general direction and it still would've worked. He didn't have to be accurate.

But no, Chosen gets close enough for a point-blank attack.

So again, if he wasn’t holding back, tell me how Glasses is still alive right now??

He and Glasses are practically nose-to-nose, when Chosen strikes.

He didn't have to miss.

I still have to analyze Chosen's behavior in this episode as a whole, and I still have to compare it with his behavior in past episodes; but in this opening scene I am absolutely certain that he was going out of his way to avoid hurting his pursuers. To his own detriment, even.

Just because he “went all-out with his powers” doesn’t mean he wasn’t holding back. I’d even argue that he wouldn’t have had to go all-out with his powers if he’d decided that killing or crippling the mercs was okay.

Because, like I said, he could've ended Glasses right there.

It's interesting seeing a character such as Chosen which was introduced like "the serious guy" in The Showdown, he didn't express that much exitement like the other ones, he just looked like he could do anything, never truly being the comedy, and then here we have him in a situation where he's freaking out in Wanted and it's not portrayed as being so serious and more like "GOD DAMN IT MAN, I KNOW YOU CAN DO THE THING, GODDAMN", and i think that's pretty cool, and it just makes sense, he's not powerful enough to defeat the mercenaries, so he gets Coming to help, but (in my head at least) Coming legit just gor amnesia and forgor, so yeah, great dinamic, great animation, great everything, it's Alan Becker, what else can we expect?

But now, i just wonder, what did my man do to get the mercenaries trying to capture it? I would imagine it's not that he did anything bad, he's not a bad guy anymore, he legit saves a random mf from getting squished by a piece of a building, so I'd think it's that they want his powers, but idk, we'll have to see for part 2, and I'm pretty exited.

Heyyyyy I’ve got something for y’all >:)

As someone who very frequently theorizes that Chosen’s “greatest fear” is other sticks getting hurt due to his actions, @inksandpensblog‘s analogies of his performance in the opening chase scene of Wanted are constantly floating around in my brain. So after I finally rewatched Wanted today, I think I’ve discovered another possible reason Chosen decided to take the glitch bullets head on.

At this point, it’s already established that Chosen has thought of Second, and going to them for help (that last bit may be more interpretative). Later, when he seems to be attempting to jog Second’s memory on Alan’s PC, there’s a moment where he gestures to the color gang.

However, in Showdown the color gang barely fought, was killed, and was later resurrected by Second. That revival part is the key. Not only did Chosen see Second heal themself, but he witnessed them bringing sticks back from the dead. If they could do that, a couple glitch symptoms would be nothing to them! So I’m thinking that since Chosen already had plans to go to Second, he figured he’d be healed pretty soon regardless, so what were a couple more shots to him? Just a quick thought I wanted to share with y’all 😌.

Proposed Names for the Mercenaries

First of all lemme just say that I LOVE how they're all drawn using different styles. The art styles mixed so perfectly in the video and everything was so well animated!

Why am I calling them them The Mercenaries? Well, it's simple:

(Note: the names that DJ comes up with are jokes and they both say that those are not the actual names.)

Now onto the induvidual sticks!

This one appears to be the head of the group. They totally remind me of the coolguy doesnt-even-flinch badass stick characters that can defeat an army of ninjas without a scratch you'd see in classic stick animations.

I like the idea of their name beginning with "Agent" or "Officer".

This one reminds me of flipnote animations. In the AvG reacts video Alan compares them to the iconic video of the stickman trying to blow up a door (a yt link).

This one is definitely based on cave paintings. I like how they use a bow and a spear, calling back to ancient tools.

You probably already knew this one is based on the standard people on signs like pedestrian crossing signs and the ones outside bathrooms. I don't think I've ever seen these things animated before so it was really cool to watch.
