Anyhow, this is for that guy I already blocked who tried to tell me that "Soros-backed" is a legitimate criticism of a billionaire's outsized influence on politics and tried to shame me for calling it antisemitism.

No question that the outsized influence of money in politics right now is fucked up and no billionaire gets a pass because of who they are or what political positions they take.

But if you think the Governor of Florida using "Soros-backed" in the unnuanced space of a twitter statement without providing any actual context for that criticism isn't an antisemitic dogwhistle you are naive at best and an apologizer at worst. You're dangerous. That's not a dogwhistle, it's an air raid siren. Get a brain.

Did you ever watch or monitor any of the hargreeves?

No, not really. My trainer had a bit of an ethical code and told me I shouldn't really be watching people's private lives unless it was part of the job, so I stuck to that because it made sense. I heard about Five, rarely the others, a lot from other people, but that's as close to any of that I ever got

Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.

For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.

I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.

I think we should have a turn of phrase for "I'm not in the right, but I AM annoyed with this situation, so I just need to go bitch to a friend about this before I suck it up and go do the right thing" because more and more I'm finding this is a critical element of functional adulthood.

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.

what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.

you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.
