The Hardcore Minecraft experience.

I've been playing hardcore Minecraft but my nether portal put me right into a basalt deltas, aka the most annoying and obnoxious biome EVER!

It was 4AM when I got there and I was so annoyed that I just went right to sleep lmao

a few day's progress at spawn in my singleplayer, large biome world. the lighthouse (incomplete) is now mostly a mob farm using the scaffold water dispensers from ianxofour's design, but super compacted and a different shape because i don't even want high-volume output, just something i can let run passively or AFK at if i'm pausing to go do a chore or whatever.

the green part has an enchanting room & i think i might try to make fake light beams to hide the scaff tower for AFKing if i can stomach another 7000 block boat trip.

once I get the lighthouse a little better off I wanna focus on the farming/animal area, which will be behind the bamboo across from the wheat farms. there's a big ole plain just north of here that i might convert wholly to farmland, so it'll just be practical small scale for now to give a pretty view.

Yesterday I tried to beat Minecraft on a fresh world. I got 30 something diamonds, which is more than I ever had in one world ever.

Then I went to the nether..

I got BASALT DELTA cursed. I travelled hundreds of blocks five times and made five portals.

Wanna guess what biome I go-

I hate it so much, I even died to blazes later and lost everything and gave up...

based on a screenshot of the nether in Minecraft. the basalt deltas are one of my favorite biomes. it's so simple and barren, but it's oddly calm, especially with the ash floating in the air. i wasn't really sure how to portray the glowstone, so it's a little bright, but other than that I'm very happy with how it turned out
