i didn't notice until right now, but it's a really big deal that jack was able to call bella during the big season finale. hannibal literally flipped a coin to decide whether or not he would save her life, but the act of flipping the coin at all was a premeditated decision--that decision being to play with her life like it doesn't mean anything. he was so busy playing god that he left himself a weakness. he would have killed jack that night, and saved himself from the one person who's managed to fight their way closest to catching him, but he failed. he failed because bella was there to pick up the phone. he was so deep in his fantasy that he wasn't like everyone else that "everyone else" caught up to him.

I believe we've been robbed. From the interaction between Will Graham and Bella Crawford. I know they didn't have to meet because Will was just her husband's subordinate, but both the Crawfords and Will, like a lot of other people, were invited to dinner at Hannibal Lecter's house. Bella was so precious! Just imagine the interaction between her and Will. She was also observant, so maybe she even noticed Hannibal's feelings for Will? I'm imagining her rolling mentally her eyes over how clueless her husband and the object of Hannibal's affection are, while at the same time thinking: “One way or another these two will end up together.”
