Will Miller x Reader

Warnings: Swearing, Fighting

Summary: Will is away so Ben spends some time with his favorite sister-in-law

Your brother-in-law Ben decided to keep you company this weekend while Will was away. He was due back this evening, so you and Ben were binge watching the Golden Girls. You got up from the couch and headed for the kitchen to make some popcorn.

“Don’t even think about changing the channel Ben.” You yelled out as you placed the popcorn into the microwave.

“Wouldn’t dream of it Y/N/N!” Ben said with an eye roll. All weekend long you two spent bickering on who had control of the tv, and you a had a feeling it was about to come to a head.

As the microwave beeped you thought you heard the unmistakable sounds of the fight that was on tonight. Narrowing your eyes, you dumped the popcorn into the bowl grabbed it and marched into the living room.

“BEN! What are you doing!” you yelled causing the special forces man to jump. Bashfully setting the remote on the coffee table, Ben turns to you. 

“Aw, come on Y/N, we have been watching what you wanted to all weekend, can we please, please watch the fight?” He begs you with a look that would make most women give in. You weren’t most women; you were married to a Miller.

Snatching the remote from the table, you switched it back to your show. Setting the popcorn in between you two on the couch, you took your seat.

“Ben, I let you watch whatever you wanted to this morning, it’s my turn,” pulling your blanket over your legs, you turn to him.

“Besides, if you want to watch the fight so bad,” shrugging your shoulders, “you can always go home.” You have been hinting at Ben to go home all evening, but he wasn’t catching on. The hat must be on his head to tight.

He threw his hand up to his chest, “and leave you all alone, I wouldn’t dare!” Settling back on the couch, “What would Will think? I did promise him I would keep you company until he got home.” He said with a smirk.

Rolling your eyes, you got comfortable and grabbed a handful of popcorn, trying to tune Ben out.

“Y/N... Y/N, hey Y/N/N.”

“What Ben,” you snapped turning your head to look at him.

“Well if you’re going to be mean about it,” he mutters crossing his arms like a petulant child. You were starting to get exasperated with his antics. Ben sighs loudly and throws his arms across the back of the couch and throws a leg up on the coffee table.

You ignore him. When that doesn’t get the effect he was hoping, he starts picking up popcorn piece by piece and tossing them at you.

“Ben will you please stop!” You let out a disgusted sigh as you pick popcorn out of your hair.

“This show is stupid though,” he grumbles setting his foot down, “and I’m bored.”

“The show is not stupid it’s funny.” You dump the popcorn onto the table, as Ben pouts. “Besides if you’re that bored go do something productive.”

“Like what?” Ben snaps, “be bored to death from this show?”

 “Ben…” you start to interrupt, but he continues.

“Who really wants to watch a show about a bunch of old ladies trying to get laid, I mean ones a complete idiot, the other is a giant sasquatch, the other is clearly a whore, an..”

“BEN,” you screamed interrupting him, “you are one insult away from starting a war.”

Turning to look at you with a serious expression, “I…HATE..Sophia.”

And that was how the fight started.

The popcorn bowl went flying as you tackled Ben off the couch. Arms and legs (and hat) were going in every direction as you tried to get a good grip around Ben’s head. You could swear you heard a high pitch squeal come from Ben as you pinned him down. It was at that moment the front door opened with neither one of you noticing.

When Will walked in it was to the sight of you sitting on Ben’s back with your legs over his shoulders and your hands wrapped around his forehead, screaming “TAKE IT BACK! YOU TAKE IT BACK RIGHT NOW!”

“Y/N!” Shouts Will, “what the hell is going on!”

“WILL!” surprised you let go of Ben’s head, which immediately smacks the floor. Will helps you up and takes in your and Ben’s disheveled appearance.

Will turns to you, “why is he bleeding?”

“Because he’s an IDIOT” you shout pointing at Ben who sticks his tongue out.

Will rubs the bridge of his nose, “I didn’t realize that idiocy caused people to just start spontaneously bleeding from their nose.”

Still glaring at Ben, “I heard it’s a new phenomenon.”

Standing up Ben decides to put in his two cents, “SHE started it, she hit me first!”

“NO, you said you hated Sophia!”

“Well you didn’t let me watch the fight!” “You had the tv all morning!”

“STOP!” Will throws his hands up between the two of you. “I don’t care what happened, apologize now.” He hisses

Ben hangs his head before looking up at you, “I’m sorry Y/N, I shouldn’t have said that I hated Sophia.”

You step closer to Ben who is standing in the doorway that leads to the hall, “Ben I’m sorry, that I’m not sorry that you’re an IDIOT!” You yell shoving him into the wall. Storming to your bedroom and slamming the door. Getting up Ben turns to Will, “Y’know, that’s not what an apology sounds like.”

Shaking his head Will starts walking down the hall, “she totally kicked your ass.”
