BLACKSWAN drama summarised:

BLACKSWAN is a Kpop group that originally started out as a five-member group with Fatou (Senegalese), Leia (Brazillian/Japenese), Judy, Hyeme and Youngheun (all Korean).

Fatou is the first African Kpop idol and was the only black Kpop idol for several years. Leia was the first Brazillian Kpop idol.

Blackswan underwent a massive lineup change after Hyeme, Judy and Youngheun left the group and Leia was kicked out for multiple reasons:

Leia groped Youngheun's breasts on a live stream, which she stated made her extremely uncomfortable. She groped Judy as well.

Leia started bullying accusations against Fatou that she later apologised for and said were fake

Fatou got a lot of extremely racist hate from people who believed the accusations and Leia's apology was very weak and did little to stop the hate.

Leia is... not a good singer. She spent 7 years as a Kpop trainee and remains a bad singer.

BLACKSWAN's new lineup consists of 4 members: Fatou, Sriya (Indian), Nvee (Mixed African American) and Gabi (Brazillian). Leia wanted to remain in the group and said she hadn't left, but Fatou confirmed that the 4 member lineup had no plans to be changed.

They are now the first Kpop group to have no Korean members. Their Indian-inspired song "Karma" was a hit and is BLACKSWAN's most successful song. Their single "Cat And Mouse" was listed as one of the best Kpop songs of the year. Fatou released a self-produced solo mixtape "Adaeh" that was promoted by Pop Base, multiple clips of BLACKSWAN went viral, and they performed at Waterbomb Music Festival.

Shit popped off when Youngheun liked Tweets calling out Leia and made posts against her, saying that Leia had been kicked out of multiple groups, she could have been in Pristin, but was talentless. Bearing in mind, neither Youngheun or any of the BLACKSWAN members have been able to do anything on social media without being harassed by Leia stans and also bearing in mind that Leia literally groped Youngheun and made her leave the group.

Many, many stans came to Leia's defence, completely ignoring what a shitty person Leia is, for no other reason than because she was Brazillian. They started out harassing YoungheunThey started an "anti-hate" campaign for Leia... primarily consisting of harassing BLACKSWAN and Youngheun on social media. The "anti-hate" campaign claimed that Fatou was a bully to the other 4 members and Leia, based off decontextualised TikTok clips, and that Fatou was a bully to Leia because she liked Youngheun's Tweet and Tweet's supporting Youngheun. Bearing in mind that Youngheun was one of the people who convinced her not to quite Kpop.

Despite the main runners of the "anti-hate" campaign claiming that they didn't endorse racism, Fatou went through an extreme amount of racist hate again, and Sriya and Nvee were targetted as well. Someone also attempted to post deepfake porn of Sriya (who is 19!!!).

Fatou asked her fans to send her the Tweets of the people that were harassing her (probably a lawsuit), and quite a few of the Twitter users instantly deleted their accounts. Sriya has also made it appear like she may be looking to sue. Their company (DR Entertainment), whilst known for being shitty, is working on protecting them better.

Leia stans are continuing to send hate to the members on Twitter under the guise of "freeing" Leia. Leia has nothing she could be freed from. She was kicked out of DR Entertainment and BLACKSWAN. All the "evidence" that Leia was ever bullied or a victim is extremely dubious.

TLDR: Leia, a half-white half-Japanese ex Kpop idol, groped 2 fellow members, started false bullying accusations against Fatou, a black Kpop idol, and was kicked out of her group and company. Leia's stans continued to harass her victims, spread racist hate and are spreading a misinformation campaign to defame Fatou and pretend that Leia is a victim.

Shorter TLDR: Leia is a fucking looser with racist fans who only like her because she's Brazillian and she gives them an excuse to harass a black woman.

Ok finally finished the docu, and I feel... conflicted? 🥴

I commend Leia for apologizing to Fatou, because she's the one who started the drama by being petty. Idc what anyone says, making that mean spirited IG story, and doing so in Korean - a language that all the members could understand perfectly - was on purpose. Giving her the silent treatment in return could be seen as equally petty, but Leia defining that as bullying is just absurd. Justifying her mother for talking to the fanbase page was even more absurd.

But I commend her for apologizing. And I commend Fatou for accepting it and choosing to put the wellbeing of the group first. Youngheun & Judy feeling some type of way about that is a bit sus to me, because if they cared about the group succeeding 1st & foremost, they honestly could've done the same - especially since Fatou dealt w/ waaay more shxt than them. The disrespect was done to Fatou's mom, in Fatou's house, and Fatou was the main one on the receiving end of hate online bc of Leia. While the others received hate as well, it was significantly less than what Fatou was put through. The main issue (for them) was Leia not being a team player.

I really liked that Fatou & Leia were at least speaking together and being able to get along in a peaceful manner. And she seemed to get along w/ Gabi & Sriya as well, and started to practice as much as they did for the new performance w/ this new lineup. And I will say after watching this docu, I'm more convinced that Leia's mental health played a huge factor in her leaving. Bc her frustrations & lack of showing up was only directed towards the company in the end. She couldn't share the excitement about moving forward in kpop w/ the group despite being happy at the end of the show w/ them... So I have more grace w/ her in how she left.

I really wish we got to see more of my baby, Nvee. :( But I also love that the docu ended w/ her being God's gift to Blackswan. 🥰 I love Fatou talking about all of them loving her, and that she was just the perfect puzzle to this new lineup. And praise GOD that daddy CEO finally gave his son the approval to take over bc of him finding Nvee!! 😭 It seems that he's finally convinced that this should be the final lineup, as EVERYONE hopes it is! 🙏🏾

Anyways, very nice docu. 🔥 9/10

Oh wow Leia definitely has a victim mentality like you can tell she was mad that she wasn't the star of the group watching that documentary, but I don't want to jump on her to badly because I honestly do think something is mentally wrong with her. So I'm happy she left and hopefully she is getting help, probably not though. BlackSwan works better as the group they have now. Their "Roll Up" era was really good for kpop group that is small and underrated with the gp. They also had more people buying their EP this time around and went #1 in different countries. No shade to Judy and Youngheun because those two girls were also talented and much love to them for defending Fatou and being on her side when that whole scandal went down and told Fatou to keep going and telling the truth about Leia. But you can tell Fatou is very happy with Sriya, Gabi, and Nvee. If the son of that company, now that the father has stepped down, is smart he will realize what four talented/smart girls he has and keep going.

So, I'm still working on the Blackswan guide video. I knew that AppleTV+ would have a K-pop documentary starring them at the end of August. But, the shade for Leia in just the first episode alone is something.

The director flat-out like "Frankly, her vocal and dance was not good." Leia interjecting her own interview like "...dramatic..." and ending one portion with her saying "I just-I'm kind of crazy."

Also LOL at Jessi's mom saying "one thing about Jessi she really had a loud voice since she was a child. I would think 'why is she so loud?' and I would plug my ears" and there just being a montage of Jessi as a child screaming.

I apologize in advance if this seems too rude. I don't feel comfortable with blackswan (nothing to say about the current members) because of Fatou's entire history. She has never seemed like a friendly person, especially considering the whole situation involving the ex-member Leia. Fatou is the leader (I apologize if she isn't) and she does need to take a stand in front of the members, but she has never been someone you can trust, either in her words or in her actions. As a black brazilian woman, she is the opposite of everything I stand for and represent. If I'm wrong in any of my arguments, please let me know why. 🤍

Just finishing watching K-POP Idols and babyeeeee!!!! I have THOTS® and OPINIONS® on Blackswan and DR bum ass. I won't state them here but just know I sent my friends like sooo many voice memos about it. Like that shit has to be about 25 minutes lolol.

What I WILL say is, I think I know more about the Leia situation and...well...mistakes were made all around with her and her actions, her mother's actions, BS's then leader's inaction, and the company's lack of action. That should've never blown up in the way it did. Cuz it should've never left that house in the first place. By which I mean, no one outside of the parties involved should have been involved. Specifically her mother and the recruitment of the fandom against Fatou. All that was needed was a simple conversation and some maturity.

But it didn't and what happened happened. But I will say if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have the current quartet. Some things just need to happen to push people outta the way so others can step in and step up.

Also the DR CEO is so full of shit for a variety of reasons but I'll say how he handled the fallout and Leia's contract and her, in his own words mind you, repeated breach of it is shameful and embarrassing. I'm really hoping his son will learn from his father's mistakes and do better.

But yeah that's all. Love how I said I wasn't gonna talk about it then proceeded to talk about it. Well sorta kinda.

So DR Music wouldn't release Leia from her contract despite her constantly breaching it and saying that she didn't wanna be there for months, but fulfilled the Korean members' request to leave from the jump?? 🙃🙃 It's also lowkey infuriating the way the big CEO acted like losing Youngheun & Judy meant nothing bc of his longtime goal of having a "global group". Those two girls never got a lot of love or attention compared to any of the foreign members, and now it's clear that DR Music played a huge role in that by how dismissive he was of them "graduating". Smh
