Sticker Labeling Machines: Boosting Packaging Efficiency with High Performance | Brothers Pharmamach

Advanced labeling solutions are used by manufacturers to guarantee that their goods fulfill quality and compliance requirements. Sticker labeling machines, which offer excellent precision, speed, and consistency, are essential to the automation of the labeling process. These devices assist companies in improving product presentation, cutting labor costs, and streamlining processes for bottles, cartons, pouches, and test tubes.
The Importance of Sticker Labeling Machines in Packaging
Sticker Labeling Machines are designed to efficiently apply labels to products. While manual labeling is time-consuming and prone to errors, automated machines ensure precise application with minimal waste. These automated labeling solutions are particularly advantageous for industries such as chemicals, food and beverages, and pharmaceuticals.
Advantages of Using Sticker Labeling Machines:
High-Speed Performance: These machines can label hundreds of products per minute.
Consistency & Accuracy: Eliminates human errors, ensuring proper label placement.
Cost-Effective: Reduces manual labor, leading to operational cost savings.
Enhanced Productivity: Speeds up packaging lines, meeting high market demands.
Versatility: Accommodates different product shapes and sizes.
Types of Sticker Labeling Machines and Their Applications
1. Sticker Labeling Machine for Bottles: Bottles are widely used in pharmaceuticals, beverages, and personal care industries. A sticker labeling machine for bottles ensures labels are applied correctly on cylindrical, square, or oval bottles. These machines work efficiently with different bottle materials, including plastic, glass, and metal.
2. Round Bottle Sticker Labeling Machine: A round bottle sticker labeling machine is made to precisely label cylindrical bottles. It is frequently used to label food containers, medicine vials, and wine bottles. By guaranteeing 360-degree labeling, this equipment improves the marketing of products.
3. Carton Sticker Labeling Machine: The carton sticker labeling machine is ideal for labeling cartons in the pharmaceutical and FMCG industries. This machine ensures that product information, batch details, and barcodes are accurately placed, facilitating easy tracking and compliance.
4. Pouch Sticker Labeling Machine: Pouches are commonly used for food, spices, and medical supplies. A pouch sticker labeling machine enables seamless labeling on flexible surfaces, ensuring that branding and product information remain intact despite handling and transportation.
5. Twin Head Carton Labeling Machine: A twin-head carton labeling machine provides double-label application on cartons. This is particularly useful for high-volume production lines requiring dual labeling, such as pharmaceutical boxes needing labels on both front and back sides.
6. Two-Side Flat Bottle Sticker Labeling Machine: Labels can be applied to both sides of oval or flat bottles with the two-sided flat bottle sticker labeling machine. In sectors like cosmetics and personal care, where compliance labels and branding must be positioned on opposing sides, this is especially helpful.
7. Horizontal Sticker Labeling Machine: For small cylindrical products like ampoules and syringes, a horizontal sticker labeling machine is the best choice. It allows fast, accurate, and automated labeling for delicate items used in pharmaceutical and laboratory settings.
8. Test Tube Sticker Labeling Machine: A test tube sticker labeling machine is specifically designed for labeling test tubes and vials used in medical laboratories and diagnostic centers. Precision is key in this application to ensure correct sample identification and traceability.
How Sticker Labeling Machines Enhance Packaging Efficiency
Automation & Speed: Automated labeling systems significantly increase production speeds. They eliminate the slow and inconsistent results of manual labeling, enabling manufacturers to meet large-scale demands efficiently.
Reduced Wastage & Errors: These machines precisely apply labels, reducing the chances of misplacement, wrinkles, or air bubbles. This not only enhances the product’s aesthetic appeal but also minimizes label wastage.
Improved Compliance & Branding: Accurate labeling ensures regulatory compliance, especially in industries like pharmaceuticals, where incorrect labels can lead to legal issues. Consistent branding across all products also strengthens brand recognition.
Cost Savings & ROI: While sticker labeling machines require an initial investment, they lead to long-term savings by reducing labor costs, preventing label wastage, and improving operational efficiency.
Choosing the Right Sticker Labeling Machine
Selecting the right machine depends on the type of products you manufacture and the production capacity you require. Here are a few factors to consider:
Product Shape & Size: Ensure the machine can handle different dimensions.
Speed Requirements: Choose a machine that aligns with your production output.
Industry Regulations: Ensure the machine meets industry-specific labeling standards.
Automation Level: According to your objectives for scale and spending limits, choose between semi-automated and fully automatic options.
Sticker Labeling Machines are essential for modern packaging lines, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings. Whether you need a machine for bottles, cartons, pouches, or test tubes, investing in high-quality labeling equipment ensures seamless operations and product compliance.

Tattoo Parlor Decor Set for The Sims 4
This set was inspired by my personal experience getting tattoos. Some of the signs are those I remember from my friend’s tattoo parlor. While I was excited about getting tattooing in the Business & Hobbies Pack, I did want more in terms of décor objects. I did my best to keep the items as low poly as possible, but be sure to check the poly counts for what your computer can handle.
The building in my screenshots is one I downloaded from the gallery and made modifications so it resembled my friend's tattoo parlor. The username is MickeySimmers and the original build is a NY Pizzeria uploaded on 4/7/25.
When appropriate, objects are available in English and Simlish versions. Simlish font credit to Franzilla: https://modthesims.info/ For new meshes made by me, textures from Blenderkit were used.

Tattoo Counter
I was dissatisfied with the number of slots and their placement on the tattoo counter that came with the Business & Hobbies pack, so I modified EA’s The Ultimate Nightstand so that it served as a larger counter and added décor slots to it. There are a total of 3 large slots, 9 medium slots, and 27 small slots. I made some minor modifications to the EA texture for The Ultimate Nightstand but did include all 20 swatches.
Polygon Count: 162
Supply Cabinet
I have long been disappointed with the lack of deco slots in various displays. For this object, I modified EA’s Carina Dining Hutch so that it would serve as an appropriate supply cabinet. I made some minor modifications to the EA texture but did include all 9 swatches. There are a total of 2 large slots, 15 medium slots, and 140 small slots.
Polygon Count: 114
Salty Signs
There are 3 files of what I call “salty” signs. The large signs are not as salty, but I wanted to stick with my theme overall. What do I mean by salty? Well, these are signs that are not for the faint of heart and for those with a darker sense of humor. They were inspired not only by signs that I saw at my friend’s parlor, but also by things he and his colleagues would say frequently.
Large Signs: 7 designs (11 total swatches)
Medium Signs: 9 designs (18 total swatches)
Small Signs: 10 designs (20 total swatches)
Polygon Count: 4
The following were used in several textures in all three files:

Tattoo Ink Bottles
Due to file sizes, I split these up into 2 separate files. One file has all of the bottles in English, and the other has all of the bottles in Simlish. I modified the EA debug glue bottle. There are a total of 24 swatches.
Polygon Count: 126
Tattoo Ink Cups
There are 2 files for this object. One is an empty ink cup. The other has all of the ink colors as different swatches. There are a total of 24 swatches for the filled ink cups. I modified the water glass object to create these items.
Empty Cup Polygon Count: 107
Filled Cup Polygon Count: 162
Tattoo Ink Cup Holder
When an artist is using a few different inks for a piece, they can sometimes use a holder for the ink cups so the cups do not get knocked over or spilled. This is an original mesh made by me. I have the object set up so that the ink cups (full or empty) will snap to the holes in the holder. Once the ink cups are in, you can move the entire holder to where you want it and the ink cups will go along. Or you can place the holder and then add the cups. While the holders I tended to see were plastic, I decided to make mine a metal version with slight ink stains.
Polygon Count: 208
Sharps Containers
I created 2 versions of sharps containers for this set. I originally was only going to create the wall-mounted one, but then decided to add the counter version of it as well. These are original meshes made by me.

Wall-Mounted Sharps Container Polygon Count: 268

Tattoo Coil Machine
There are different types of tattoo machines available, but I find the coil machine to be the most recognizable and therefore wanted this version in my game. This is an original mesh made by me. There are a total of 5 swatches.
Polygon Count: 640
Foot Switch
I created a foot switch to operate the tattoo machine with. This is an original mesh made by me. There are 11 swatches.
Design inspired by FK Delta Foot Switch https://www.fkirons.com/products/delta-foot-switch-cosmic-storm
Polygon Count: 57
Power Supply
For this object, I modified the EA Retro Rock of Ages Stereo mesh and texture to create the power supply. I used a few other EA textures to make adjustments to the components of the object.
Polygon Count: 336
Stencil Machine
Unless you allow your artist to freely draw on your skin before tattooing, many use a stencil machine to create the stencil so you can make sure that your tattoo is placed correctly and looks correct before beginning. This is an original mesh made by me. There are a total of 6 swatches (3 designs in English, 3 designs in Simlish).

Autoclave
No tattoo parlor is complete without the sterilization equipment, namely the autoclave. For this object, I modified the EA The Schmapple Micro Microwave mesh.
Design inspired by Tuttnauer Valueklave 1730 https://tuttnauer.com/us/veterinary-practices/tabletop-sterilizers/manual/valueklave-1730
Polygon Count: 346
Non-sterile Nitrile Glove Boxes
For this object, I modified EA’s Softy Brand Tissues object. There are 2 box colors available, black and gray. There are a total of 12 swatches.
Non-Sterile symbol is a public domain image
Polygon Count: 40
Portfolios
A detail that I thought was missing was a display of the tattoo artist’s work. In real shops, they can be wall displays or portfolios. I decided to make a portfolio with different tattoo designs. There are 3 swatches of different tattoos. This is an original mesh made by me.

Consent Form
I created a consent form on a clipboard. This is only available in Simlish. I modified some EA textures to create the form. The clipboard is an original mesh made by me.
Polygon Count: 90
Tip Jar
Tipping is heavily encouraged for getting tattoos, at least in the U.S. As such, I decided I wanted to make a tip jar for my parlor. I modified the EA debug jar and some different debug simoleon meshes. The result is a tip jar with both coins and bills inside.

new roots
— patrick zweig x afab!reader

— Angst, emotional vulnerability, slow recovery from toxic past — college!au + not proofread!
After losing both Tashi and Art in the wake of injury and heartbreak, Patrick drifts into college life—a version of it he never expected to live. That’s where he meets you: a quiet presence with gentle hands and eyes full of something he doesn’t know how to name. There’s no label between you. Just moments. Lingering ones. Unspoken ones. The kind that mean everything.
also, thanks to the person who requested this! mwahmwah
Patrick doesn’t talk about tennis anymore. Not in classes. Not in dorm conversations. Not even when someone recognizes his name from an old clip on YouTube or a high school headline they half-remember: Zweig Dominates Junior Open. One To Watch.
He pretended it’s another person and maybe it was. Because that Patrick, the one who lived on courts, who chased glory and leaned into every serve like it was survival died the moment Tashi pulled away.
the moment her injury turned their futures into fractured glass. The moment Art stopped looking at him like they were in this together. Now, college feels like a punishment. A quiet, gray echo of a life he never planned for. No racket. No spotlight. Just lectures and cold pizza and nights where he can’t sleep for the noise in his own head.
That’s where he’s at when he meets you. You meet him in the campus print shop.
He’s behind you in line, hoodie up, headphones in. but his printer code isn’t working and you offer help without even thinking. “Try logging in again. This machine’s got a short temper.” Your voice is soft, like morning.
He glances at you. Takes in the sticker-covered water bottle, the tiny star pendant around your neck, the scribbled class notes in your hand that look more like poetry than anything academic. “I didn’t ask for help,” he says.
“I didn’t ask for a thanks,” you reply. And just like that, something shifts. He watches you from then on. Not in a creepy way—more like someone remembering warmth after a long stretch of cold.
You never sit in the front row. Always near the windows. You write constantly, even when you’re not supposed to. You laugh in bursts, sudden and real, and your sadness (because it is there) hides behind eyes that see too much.
You start nodding when you pass him on the quad. Then waving. Then one day you sit next to him in the library and don’t say anything at all.
And somehow, that’s what starts everything.
Patrick doesn’t do softness well. Not anymore.
He’s all angles and silence and short replies. But you..god, you’re a patient sort of storm. You don’t force him to talk, but you show up. You lend him a pencil when his breaks. Share your granola bar when he forgets to eat. Leave a little doodle on his notebook every once in a while. Like one day, it was a racket with wildflowers growing through the strings.
He stares at it for ten minutes. Then tears the page out and keeps it in his wallet and never tells you.
One rainy evening, you find him smoking on the roof of the science building, hoodie soaked through, knee bouncing like it’s trying to run off without him. “You always look like you’re waiting for the sky to fall,” you say.
He flicks ash off the edge of the ledge. “Maybe I am.” You sit beside him anyway. Share the silence. Let it swell between you like a song you both know by heart. And it’s the first time in months Patrick doesn’t feel like he’s drowning.
It isn’t love. Not officially. Not technically. Not in a way either of you says out loud.
But there’s something in the way he walks you to your dorm after late-night study sessions unless you’d like to spend the night or the way he watches your hands when you talk, like the gestures themselves are telling him secrets.
There’s something in the way you touch his arm when he’s anxious. In the way you always seem to know when he’s spiraling, and how you never ask him to stop being a mess—just to let you sit with him.
He doesn’t talk about Art or Tashi. He doesn’t like to and he doesn’t like anyone forcing him too. That’s why you don’t, you understood him more than anyone did until.
It’s late. You’re walking back from an open mic night when Patrick stops outside the chain-link fence of the campus courts. The lights are off. The lines faded. But he stares like it’s church.
“Used to live on places like this,” he says suddenly. You turn to him. He’s not looking at you—eyes fixed on the dead net, hands clenched. “I’d measure my worth in wins. Serves. Applause. And then…” He laughs bitterly. “Then it all stopped. She got hurt. He picked her. Or maybe she picked him. I don’t know. I was just… out.”
He swallows hard. “Have you ever loved someone who looked right through you?” You nod. Quiet.
Patrick’s voice is hoarse now. “And I couldn’t even be mad. Because I loved them both. God, I loved them.”
You don’t speak. You just take his hand. And hold it. Not because you want something from him. But because you see him and that’s something he hasn’t felt in a long, long time.
You fall into something undefined. You’re not together. Not officially. But he sits closer now. Leans his head on your shoulder when he’s tired. Plays with your fingers when he thinks you’re not paying attention.
One night, you fall asleep on his chest during a movie and he kisses your forehead. And then pretends he didn’t. There are mornings where you brush his hair out of his eyes. Nights where you cry over your own heartbreaks and he stays, holds you like you’re fragile but sacred.
There’s so much feeling, so much almost that it hurts sometimes. But neither of you push. You just stay. Breathe. Heal, slowly. Together. He had found new roots in you, his new life with you in it.
It happens in the fall. You’re sitting under a tree, reading aloud to him from some dreamy novel about lost cities and people who find each other through music. Your voice is calm. Safe.
He closes his eyes and lets it wash over him.
Then, softly, like he doesn’t mean to say it out loud: “You’re the only thing that makes me feel like a person again.”
You stop reading and look at him. He’s staring straight ahead, ashamed maybe and you don’t kiss him. You don’t tell him you feel the same, you just reach for his hand and squeeze it.
and there’s no grand declaration but you were somewhat okay with that. No kiss in the rain. No sudden leap into relationship status.
But there’s a point, halfway through winter, where Patrick starts showing up at your door without being asked. Where your things mix on accident. Where your toothbrush is next to his and no one talks about it but there’s still pain in him. Still grief but there’s also you.
And it’s not perfect. It’s human.
He still sees Tashi in dreams. Still wonders if Art would’ve stayed if things had been different. But when he wakes up, it’s your face he sees.
You, with your soft voice and ink-stained fingers and the patience of someone who never tried to replace the ghosts, only offer him something warmer than cold memory.
So no, it’s not the ending. It’s a beginning. And beginnings are quiet just like the way you love him. And maybe, someday, he’ll say it back. But for now, you sit beside him in the library again.
Two people who found each other in the aftermath and stayed but you’ve matured throughout the months, the years together and that’s how now you were bringing him to visit your family for spring break.
a nervous wreck, looking at you as you approached the front door. “Are you sure they’ll like me? I mean—“ you quickly cut him off.
“of course they will, they love all my friends.” you smile, okay— maybe official labels haven’t exactly been put on you both yet but you were okay with where you were.
you found new roots with each other.

If you drink, you should drink moderately. Booze is very expensive, you see, and every penny that is spent on it could be put into race car parts instead. It's for this exact reason that my ancient ancestors spent a lot of their free time figuring out how to synthesize their own alcohol at home, and giving birth to the modern-day NASCAR stock car circuit.
Like any good science experiment, the project didn't start out as an excuse to day-drink. Originally, the family story goes, they wanted to make some synthetic alcohol-based fuels to run a race car off of. And there were way too many mouldy bananas getting thrown out at the grocery store. Why not simply turn all that discarded banana waste into zingy, renewable meth-o-line?
The reason why not is that what actually comes out of the process is high-test banana liqueur. If that concept sounds good to you, perhaps you are a secret monkey, brainwashed into thinking you were a person all along. Check your closet to make sure there's no secret radio equipment made out of coconut shells, hair, and poop, reporting back to the Big Gorilla at the zoo to advise him of when the best time to begin the invasion is. For the rest of us, banana liqueur is, most generously, a weird novelty.
A weird novelty, that is, until prohibition. The nation's wet blankets got together, and collectively said "maybe do something other than drinking all day." And they had a point: auto-body repair bills were starting to skyrocket, what with all the whisky dings getting racked up on the expansive chrome bodywork of the time. Those ancient scolds did make a mistake, though: denying them their booze meant that a newly-sober and terrified country had to turn to race cars instead.
So, a classic capitalist story: needs (for banana-based high-octane race fuels) met haves (banana-based high-octane race fuels,) and there was immediate success. Not so. For one thing, Great-Great Grandpappy Switch was really bad at business. He much preferred to be out racing, in the process inventing new motorsports like "drifting" and "grocery-store shopping cart drifting." And for another thing, he didn't see the point in changing the label on the bottles. He had paid for those labels, goddammit, and they were going to say "Incredibly Illegal Banana Booze, Don't Let The Government See It" until he had used up the entire roll of stickers.
Eventually, his two loves did meet, in the form of a group of bootleggers who started to use their souped-up shitboxes for racing instead of just outrunning the morality police. That's a story for another family, though, as by then Great-Great Grandpappy Switch had moved on to inventing the world's first pinball machine.
Say, I didn't notice your friends come in while I was talking. If you don't mind me saying so, they sure look a whole lot like those gorillas that escaped from the zoo earlier. They want to hear about my family banana liqueur recipe, you say?

Why Labeling Machines Are Essential for Efficient Product Branding?
In today's fast-track industrial and packaging sectors, labeling machines are now a must in the manufacturing processes of different labels over items, containers, and packages. Traditionally, this machinery has a role in fast and precise handling of such elements, providing consistency in marketing, and satisfying the regulatory requirements. Involving the equipment in better productivity while still maintaining a foreign standard for presentation, this machinery manufacturer can influence even strengthen as well as be a part of a promotional plan.
What is a Labeling Machine?
Labeling machines are useful tools for the labeling of products, bottles, or other forms of packaging. Usually, those labels give some information such as the name of the product itself, ingredients, the barcode numbers, the date of expiration, and even logos. They are mostly employed in the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and beauty and cosmetics industries, providing consistency and accuracy, which are also key in terms of brand identity and regulatory standards maintenance.
Types of Labeling Machines
Sticker Labeling Machine: Sticker labeling machines are quite manageable products mainly used for the label adhesive application to any flat, round, or irregular surfaces. They stick labels to jars, boxes, and other types of containers where high-quality or clear labels have to be attached. The mechanically advanced sticker labeling machines right now get by well because of their speed and precision along with the fact that they are mostly designed for high-speed operation and precision to accommodate larger scale production.
Bottle Sticker Labeling Machine: These are designed for cylindrical or round-bodied containers. They are functional in the beverage, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical uses' category called 'Bottle Sticker Labeling.' They let the label be even and do not rip off a bottle's body as well as deal with its positioning according to industry-related aspects in compliance with international standards.
Importance of Labeling Machines
Increase in productivity: What the machine does is to take manual labor out of labeling processes. The overall effect is a much better time in the production process and higher productivity output.
Uniformity and consistency: It means one eliminates the inconsistencies and errors many times inherent in manual application of labels.
Lower costs economically: An initial amount maybe is expected for purchasing an objective system; however, in the long term, each unit on the line becomes more efficient and less wasteful.
Flexibility: New machines also allow you to set multiple parameters to handle various sizes, shapes, and lengths of the label, such as those labeling machines used for stickers and bottle stickers' labels.
Choosing the Right Labeling Machine
Consider the following factors before purchasing the machine:
Commodity type: Adjust based on whether it is a flat surface, round, or irregular bottles. For cylindrical containers, a bottle sticker labeling machine would work best.
Volume: Modern machinery will offer machines offering high-speed labeling for high-volume products that can keep up with production lines.
Label materials: Ensure that the labeling machine corresponds to the label materials you plan to use - paper, plastic, metalized film.
Ease of Operation: The modern operators have come with self-explanatory command prompts and easy-to-maintain parts that reduce downtime.
Applications of Labeling Machines
Labeling machines play a significant role in different industries:
Food and Beverage: Accurately labeling nutritional information and branding.
Pharmaceuticals: Stressing the mandatory information such as the dose, components, and expiration date.
Cosmetics: Making the appearance of the products more sophisticated with the employment of high-quality labels.
Chemicals: Labeling of hazardous materials in respect of warnings and information for safety and regulation.
Conclusion
Businesses that aim to enhance the packaging process must ensure they invest in a labeling machine by Aim Technologies. Whether a company decides to use sticker labeling machine for many applications or a bottle and jars sticker labeling machine for cylindrical products, the efficiency, accuracy and flexibility of such a device is unmatched. Automating the labeling program will enable businesses to save time, cut costs, and outdo others in competition.

Better choco-late than never

This piece came about through the Goose Groupie discord's writer's club! I picked the prompt sharing a box of chocolates with everybody's favorite assasin Court.
Summary: You and Court don’t do holidays. Not because of some aversion or disbelief, simply because it was never a given if or when Court’s hectic schedule would line up and he’d be there in the first place. You didn’t mind that much. Not really. Yes, it would be nice one day to have Court share a Christmas breakfast with your family and taste mother’s infamous stoll. But those were fantasies. You’ve settled on taking whatever you could get.
This is (sorta) set in the same universe as Pretty Phone in Pink, but reading that one first isn't neccesary! Though I'd love if you did hihi ;)
Court Gentry x gender neutral reader
Warnings: no warnings, maybe some chocolate cravings
Word count: 967
It might have been the tacky packaging that caught your eye. Glinting in the fluorescent overhead among many other candies dumped into the basket. It might have been the orange sticker smacked on the little box. It wasn’t Lindt, or GODIVA. Some off-brand confectionary you’ve never heard of. 50% off. Not a bad deal.
Without another thought spent pondering the enormity of cocoa manufactory you throw it into the cart. Next, some bread. Lemonade. The orange one. Coffee. Caffeine free. A Cabbage. Dates.
It isn’t until you get home, shaking out the umbrella on the front stoop while juggling your haul and keys in the other hand, that you second guess the purchase glaring from the bottom of your grocery bag.
Deluxe, Belgian chocolate pralines. Ruby Raspberry Kiss. Dark Sinful Ganache. Double the Nuts (with nougat). Praline or pick up line?
Valentine's day was last week.
You and Court don’t do holidays.
Court loved you. Full Heartedly. There is no denying it in the way he keeps wringing himself through the hanger to keep seeing you. The way he looks at you sometimes, when he thinks you don’t notice. Not with a hunger, or a passion, rather a calmth that flows through his shoulders, down to his toes. “I’ll be home soon,” he said, three days ago through the phone.
Home.
Your home. His now, too.
Is it enough? To be some sort of safe haven? Is it worth it? You asked him once, on the phone as well because that was easier. He’d gone quiet and you dreaded the answer. But then he promised, steadfastly, “I won’t let anybody hurt you.”
And in return all you have to offer is a box of (questionably) Belgian chocolates. Does he even like chocolate? Would he be interested in a Caramel Embrace? Maybe he abhorred it. Maybe you should have bought some candy hearts. Little I Love You’s and XOXO’s. Buying a box of Valentine chocolates seems very stupid now in the first place.
When you open the door the apartment is just as you left it. The lights are turned off, the washing machine buzzing away. It’s in the kitchen putting away the groceries that you hear something else.
Footsteps.
Court comes up from behind and he is- half naked, actually. Still damp from the shower. Seeping through your t-shirt when his arms cover your midriff.
You lean back into the embrace. “Hey.”
“Hey yourself.” Court nuzzles into the space between your shoulder and your neck. “You smell nice.”
You snort. “Stole my body wash again?”
“Guilty as charged,” Court grins. You can feel it on your skin, his lips leaving a small trail. He is warm. Like a furnace.
“Good thing I think ahead.”
You grab the black bottle from the countertop and push it into his face. Court studies the label, frowning.
“Deep sensation?”
“I had a coupon.”
His gaze travels down to the box of chocolates, incriminating in all its red and gold glory among tomorrow’s dinner. “Hm, this too?”
Should have stashed it into a cabinet first thing. “Well…”
Court releases his hold and you turn around. Ever since he gave you the burner phone you’ve tried harder to decipher every little mask he’s got hidden in his arsenal. When he doesn’t want you to see what he truly feels. Now his expression is sober. The corner of his mouth turned down just so.
“I forgot didn’t I?” he says, more an admittance than a question. Eyes guarded.
“No, I mean-” you splutter, thinking what it could look like, what it could imply. A jab of some sorts. Happy Valentines! Oh wait, that was a week ago. Pay more attention to me. “I knew you would be.” You gesticulate with your hands to something on the ceiling. “Away.”
You sigh. “Sorry, it doesn’t mean anything. I thought it would be… nice.”
His eyebrows draw closer together. “Is our love being attached to bowing under consumerism nice?” he asks, so serious and- now you want to punch him.
“You- What? Oh, shut it.”
And then you do punch him, but before your fist can connect with his bare chest he grabs your hand, pulling you closer. His stubble tickles your knuckles when he kisses them.
“I love you. I don’t say it enough,” he states, looking up through his lashes. Like some damn knight from a fairytale dressed in your fluffy towel. It makes your knees weak. “And I’m taking it for granted, that’s what I’m forgetting.”
Court lets you press your thumb against his lips. Shutting him up.
“You don’t have to take anything, I’m already here,” you insist, softly.
He smiles, melting the pensive melancholy from his face. “Yes. You are. Always.”
You cradle his cheek. Playfully tugging at his ear before kissing him back. On the lips this time. It's a slow kiss. One that tends to never begin nor end. Only his sturdy presence exists in your mind, the warmth of his mouth all engulfing when you pull him even closer. Sharing your breath.
“I love you too,” you whisper, after pulling back reluctantly. There is still some rucola that needs to be put in the fridge before it withers away. “Now get dressed so we can enjoy my capitalistic chocolate.”
“I’m wearing clothes.”
You roll your eyes. “You are wearing a towel.”
“You don’t mind.”
No you don’t.
I'm in the mood for some chocolate now, and a damp Court to share them with.
Thank you for reading
