Kuvira took his hand and looked into his green eyes. His visits were what kept her sane. And he had kept his promise, coming here day after day. The odds of her being set free were not in her favor, especially after Korra made sure Baatar Jr was also held accountable for his actions. After that move, Suyin had told Korra face to face that she would see to it that Kuvira never see sunlight ever again. The only one that seemed to fully support Korra in helping Kuvira was, to her surprise, Lin Beifong. "It's not like she held a gun to his head" Lin argued. Kuvira sighed. "I wish you would stop coming" the words were hard to say, especially when she didn't mean them. " I promise to be here with you through the whole trial" he replied. "And what about after the trial? What if I never get out?" She closed her eyes. "Could you be happy here with me, Bolin? Locked up in a jail with me. Because that's the life you'll have if you stay with me. She felt Bolin's grip tightend on hers. "No" Kuvira opened her eyes. " You deserve better than this."
