Personality

Leta is a highly intelligent, sarcastic, witty, and cold woman. She’s rather reserved and blunt, making people somewhat intimidated at first glance. She can also be quite playful and somewhat flirty when she wants to be too. Although a bit of a hot head, Leta is a much calmer person than her Ultimis counterpart, Ria. Leta is more of a slow boil to anger instead of it being instantaneous. Leta doesn’t take shit from anyone and will very much tell a person that straight to their face. Despite the somewhat harsh exterior, Leta is a deeply caring and loyal woman. And it shows through her actions. When she loves, she loves with her whole being. Leta will always ensure her friends and loved ones are okay, usually being a voice of reason and a person to go to for advice. Leta is also very perceptive.

Backstory

Leta is the illegitimate/bastard child of her mother (Rose) and father (Wayon). Wayon was a seasoned lawyer and owned a big farm. Rose was a young woman who worked as a sex worker and the fling with Wayon was supposed to be a one-time thing but an affair quickly blossomed between them. Rose was unaware that Wayon was a married man with two kids, finding out the truth when she shared the news of being pregnant with him.

Wayon wasn’t happy with the news, wanting her to get an abortion. But Rose insisted on keeping the child, at that point, she didn’t care about being with him but she knew she wanted to have this child and nothing was going to stop that. At her refusal, Wayon ended things with her and left Rose to raise the baby alone.

When Leta was born, Rose wanted to provide her with the best life could. Making work as a seamstress and putting her life as a sex worker behind her. It wasn’t much, the money but Leta grew up humbled and appreciated everything her mother did for her. Rose would attempt to date but her number one priority was Leta and it stayed that way. Unfortunately, Rose grew rather sick early in Leta’s life. Wanting to help her mother, Leta took it upon herself to learn how to sew, make clothes, and help her mother’s shop. She also took small jobs from the people in their town to put extra money on the table, to pay for the necessities and her mom’s medicine. It was all for naught though as Rose had succumbed to her illness, Leta waking up to find her mother dead next to her. Leta was only 6. Before she died, Rose had told her daughter who her father was. Even leaving a letter that should anything happen to her, Wayon would at least take his daughter in.

When Wayon got the news of Rose’s death and her wish for him to take his daughter in, he refused at first. Not wanting anything to do with his bastard child, it was his wife, Grace, taking sympathy for the 6-year-old, that convinced her husband to take her. And so he did, albeit grudgingly.

Leta was both scared and somewhat excited to see who her father was and looked like. Even more excited at the fact she had an older sister and brother. She learned very quickly though that her father didn’t exactly care for her, not like how he cared for his other children. Her older brother “Red” was happy to have a little sister to care for and the two hit it off like two peas in a pod. The eldest child and her sister, Mercy was a different case. Mercy didn’t like Leta for the simple fact that she was the bastard child, a walking reminder of her father’s adultery. Leta and Mercy’s relationship was very strained and although the two would have moments where they got along, Mercy was mainly cold and somewhat emotionally abusive to Leta. Letting her know she was a bastard child and that their father never wanted her.

It was very apparent who was the favored daughter and the black sheep daughter.

Grace never held any contempt for Leta, it wasn’t the child’s fault her husband slept with another woman. She treated Leta like she was her own.

Leta also made friends with a girl named Sofia and a boy named Bruno. Sofia’s mother, Isabella was the town's local doctor.

When Leta was 13, Grace died from an illness, Mercy was married and already out of the house, and “Red” was currently enlisting in the Marines. The whole family was there for the funeral, “Red” had to go back to base and Mercy just wanted to go back to her own home. Leta was left with Wayon who had a downwind spiral after his wife’s death, turning to alcohol to soothe his pain. He very quickly became abusive to Leta, physically and mentally. He would give her the lip and nose scar during a drunken rage of his and Leta would find refuge at Isa’s where she treated the wounds. Leta was far too scared to let anyone know of the abuse, instead learning how to avoid her father’s fits. There was one night, when Leta was 16 and her father attempted to molest her, so drunk that all he saw was Rose instead of Leta, and she fought back from his advances. She scratched his face up pretty badly and that led to another drunken rage where he slashed her left eye and whipped her back so badly, it was a miracle she didn’t die from blood loss.

“Red” at the time was returning home for a bit and saw this play out. He beat Wayon to a bloody pulp before taking his baby sister and rushing her to Isa’s. Isa did the best she could, Leta would survive but with the addition of a scar on her left eye and multiple on her back to the ones on her lip and nose.

“Red” would leave Leta in the guardianship of Isa as he had to return to base but he made sure to write letters to his sister and taught her how to shoot guns before he left. Leta would learn all things medical under the mentorship of Isa and would hang out with Sofia and Bruno when she had free time.

Two years later at 18, Leta heard news of her father dying of tuberculosis. The only feeling she felt was a sense of relief, not too upset at his death. During his funeral which she attended out of basic respect, she got back in touch with Mercy. Mercy was 28 and pregnant with her first child, the eldest sibling would share her regrets with her sister. Said she was sorry for how she treated Leta growing up, how she should’ve never blamed her for their father’s adultery, and that she should’ve been a better sister. Mercy was willing to start over with Leta and be the sister she should’ve been and Leta was happy to give Mercy that chance.

Unfortunately, a few months later, Mercy would die in childbirth and Leta’s niece, Chloe, was stillborn. Leta took her sister's and niece's deaths pretty hard. She would write to her brother-in-law, whom she met briefly at Grace’s funeral but was unable to hear back from him. It seemed though that life had it out for her when she turned 19 and learned of her brother’s death from a letter sent by her brother-in-law Sterling.

Leta fell into a deep depression after the news, being the last of her family, she would self-harm but Sofia and Bruno would manage to stop her from doing anything too drastic. It didn’t help that she also faced even more scorn from her town, first, it was about her lack of legitimacy and now it was how she was death incarnate, bringing death to those around her, earning her the nickname La Muerte. It was at that time that she adopted the cold, reserved, and intimidating persona as a way to protect herself from any more hurt. Sterling would visit Leta a few months after “Red’s” death to talk, Leta would humor her brother-in-law and Sterling offered her a position as a nurse in the Marines. He also said she can do work as a spy too. Leta was skeptical at first, asking Sterling why he would offer her that. Sterling would say that he knew Leta wasn’t your average woman and saw her potential, adding that “Red” had asked him to take care of Leta. The young Arkon thought about his offer, seeing a chance to prove not only her worth but her father wrong. Wayon always talked about how Leta was a disappointment of a woman, that she would never aspire to anything, that the only good thing she could do is be an obedient little housewife, and that she was simply an unwanted bastard.

She would join Sterling and, while she mainly worked as a nurse, would work some missions as a spy for Sterling when needed. Leta meets Dempsey after returning from a spy mission Sterling gave her, it was a brief interaction, but Dempsey was immediately taken in by Leta’s fierce attitude and her sass. Leta had to admit that she felt something when they first interacted, but she wouldn’t say it out loud. The second moment between them happened when she treated his wounds, the two conversing and smiling. It ended when they shared a kiss. Dempsey, however, knew Leta was scared to make anything official. He told her he’d be there for her whenever she was ready. Leta appreciated it. She was frightened as this was her first love, her first relationship, so she wanted to take things slow.

When she was 20, she lost Sterling as a casualty of war. The two of them were on a mission to retrieve letters that had information on the Germans. Sterling sacrificed himself so that Leta could get back safely. Leta would make it back with the letters, but she came back empty and nearly broken. She would’ve fallen into another pit of depression if it wasn’t for Tank. He comforted her and gifted her a heart-shaped locket. They decided at that moment to cement their relationship and make it official.

Two days after her 21st birthday, Leta and Dempsey were sent to Northern France on a mission to capture a member of group 935 as an H.V.T. 8 months later, they would form a team with Takeo Masaki and Nikolai Belinski. The 4 of them would join Richtofen on a journey to create a better tomorrow.

Realisasikan Program BAAS, Bupati Tamba Pimpin OPD Bantu Kebutuhan Gizi Anak Stunting

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, JEMBRANA - Bupati Jembrana, I Nengah Tamba langsung bergerak bersama jajaran OPD untuk merealisasikan program BAAS (Bapak/Bunda Asuh Anak Stunting), guna menurunkan angka stunting di Kabupaten Jembrana. Melalui program BAAS, bupati bersama jajaran hadir disejumlah lokasi membawakan bahan makanan sehat kepada sejumlah anak dengan status stunting untuk mencukupi kebutuhan gizi mereka pada Jumat (1/12/2023). Program BAAS menyasar anak anak stunting yang berasal dari keluarga kurang mampu. Bantuan yang disalurkan berasal dari iuran pribadi secara sukarela pimpinan OPD dan swasta, untuk mencukupi kebutuhan makan bergizi. Program ini ditargetkan berlangsung enam bulan untuk selanjutnya rutin dipantau perkembangannya serta dievaluasi perkembangan anak. Terdapat ada tiga keluarga yang dikunjungi oleh Bupati Tamba, yakni keluarga I Gede Ardana (44) dan Ika Susiana (40), orang tua dari I Komang Dana Anggara Putra (11 bulan) yang berstatus stunting/kerdil di Banjar Pangkung Buluh Desa Kaliakah. Selanjutnya, Bupati Tamba mengunjungi rumah keluarga Putu Tagus Ardana dan Ni Kadek Ariani, orang tua dari I Kadek Sakara Adi Mahendra (3 tahun) yang berstatus stunting di Banjar Peh desa Kaliakah serta keluarga Ni Komang Ayu Setiawati orang tua dari I Gede Pasek Putra Praditya (3,5 tahun) di Banjar Banyubiru desa Kaliakah. Sementara Wabup Patriana Krisna dan Sekda I Made Budiasa juga mendapat tugas sebagai bapak asuh  mengunjungi anak stunting masing masing berlokasi di Br. Delod Bale Agung, Mendoyo Dauh Tukad dan Banjar Sombang Kaja Desa Tukadaya. Bupati Tamba mengungkapkan dari 147 anak berstatus stunting ini merupakan bagian dari kepala keluarga (KK) yang kurang mampu. Ada juga dari mereka berstatus sebagai penyandang stunting, namun mempunyai kemampuan sendiri (berkecukupan). “Kehadiran kita, agar anak-anak yang mengalami stunting ada perubahan. Kedepan akan terus saya monitoring, apakah ada perubahannya mulai dari tumbuh anak-anak dan kepintarannya,” ucapnya. Lebih lanjut, Bupati mengatakan bahwa bantuan ini akan berlangsung selama enam bulan kedepan, dimulai dari bulan Desember 2023 hingga Mei 2024. “Kami akan terus update situasi dan perkembangannya, sekarang ini kita masing-masing yang menjadi orang tua dan ibu asuh memberikan catatan dan bagaimana perkembangan terjadi di lapangan,” rincinya. Bupati Tamba menjelaskan, di kabupaten Jembrana terdapat 600 keluarga dengan anak berstatus stunting. Namun dari 600 keluarga dengan anak yang berstatus stunting itu terdapat 147 keluarga yang tergolong kurang mampu.  Sehingga bantuan dari OPD itu difokuskan kepada mereka. ”Dari 600 itu kita tangani 147 keluarga yang kurang mampu, sedangkan yang sudah mampu itu edukasinya tetap berjalan,” jelasnya. De vinícolas e fogo de chão a cachoeira que congela: conheça atrações das cidades onde mais neva em SC

São Joaquim, Urubici, Urupema e Bom Jardim da Serra são os destaques no estado quando o assunto é neve. Veja como chegar, a situação da hospedagem e as atrações turísticas de cada uma delas.

A neve, fenômeno raro do Brasil, atrai centenas de visitantes para Santa Catarina todos os anos. É no estado catarinense que os flocos são vistos com mais frequência e com maior acúmulo, de acordo com a Epagri/Ciram, órgão que monitora as condições meteorológicas do estado.

Em todo o território estadual, há quatro cidades em que a neve costuma ocorrer com mais frequência: São Joaquim, Urubici, Urupema e Bom Jardim da Serra, segundo a Epagri/Ciram.

Neste inverno, o g1 Santa Catarina preparou uma reportagem para você conhecer essas cidades, estrutura e atrações que cada uma tem para oferecer ao turista.

Por que são as cidades que mais nevam?

Martins explicou por que neva mais nessas quatro cidades em Santa Catarina.

"A orografia da região, ou seja, vale e montanhas, além da altitude e posição geográfica mesmo, recebe os sistemas frios e chuvosos que vem do polos, que se chocam com o que chegam úmidos e quentes vindos da Amazônia", resumiu o meteorologista.

Além de Santa Catarina, também neva nos estados do Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, conforme Martins.

Ele também explicou que, mesmo sendo as cidades que mais nevam no estado, o fenômeno não é comum e ocorre nos locais mais altos de cada município.

"Basicamente, a gente mora em um país tropical. Boa parte dele é imensamente quente, 95% dele é quente, inclusive em Santa Catarina. O que acontece em Santa Catarina são nevadas, e não nevascas", disse.

Conforme o meteorologista, nevascas nos países andinos, muito frios, acumulam. Já no Brasil é raro. "Quando acumulam é bem no topo dos municípios onde têm os maiores picos", disse Martins.

Há 10 anos, por exemplo, uma nevasca marcou moradores da Grande Florianópolis. O morro do Cambierela, em Palhoça, ficou encoberto pelo branco da neve.

Conheça as cidades que mais nevam

São Joaquim

Com uma população de 25.939 habitantes, segundo o Censo 2022, São Joaquim ocupa uma área de 1.892 km², a 1354 metros de altitude e faz divisa com Bom Jardim da Serra, Urubici, Urupema, Painel e Lages.

Como chegar

De carro:

De Florianópolis e Litoral Norte de Santa Catarina: pela BR-101 até o acesso 14, na cidade de Palhoça, deste seguir até antes de chegar em Lages, logo após o aeroporto, seguir a esquerda, acesso a SC-114 e segue por mais 83 quilômetros.

De Porto Alegre/Gramado/Sul de Santa Catarina: pela BR-116 até o 1º acesso de Lages, passando pela Av. D. Pedro II, até o Coral, onde a direita segue acesso para a SC-114, chegando 83 quilômetros após.

De Curitiba/São Paulo: pela BR-116 até Lages, onde segue pela conexão com a BR-282 e acessa a SC-114.

De ônibus:

as empresas que fazem viagens até São Joaquim são Nevatur, Catarinense e Reunidas.

De avião:

os aeroportos mais próximos são: Lages a 79 km; Criciúma a 115 km; Jaguaruna a 147 km; e Florianópolis, a 230 km.

Hospedagem

São Joaquim oferece 27 opções de hospedagem, entre hotéis, pousadas e cabanas, registrados pela prefeitura.

Atrações

As vinícolas estão entre as atrações mais numerosas em São Joaquim. O turista pode visitar nove delas.

Há também passeios a cavalo, trilhas, pescaria e a tradição do fogo de chão. É possível ter uma visão panorâmica da cidade na escadaria Belvedere.

A Exponeve é uma feira permanente de artesanato e produtos locais, instalada no Pavilhão I do Parque Nacional da Maçã. O Espaço Assis Chateaubriand traz uma retrospectiva de São Joaquim e acervo histórico. O Museu de Artes Martinho de Haro tem obras de artistas catarinenses, como Martinho de Haro, Rodrigo de Haro, Tereza Martorano, Yolanda Bathke e Suzana Scóss Bianchini.

A Rota do Queijo Serrano tem cinco queijarias e fica na área rural do município.

Urubici

Urubici tem 10.834 habitantes, segundo o Censo 2022. A cidade fica a uma altitude de 915 metros. Possui uma área de 1021,371 km². O ponto mais alto do município é o famoso Morro da Igreja, com 1.822 metros.

Como chegar

De carro:

De Florianópolis: seguir a BR-282 até Bom Retiro e depois descer pela SC-110.

De Porto Alegre: pegar a BR-290 até a BR-101. Ir na direção Norte até Tubarão, onde o motorista deve pegar a SC-370.

De Curitiba: descer pela BR-101 até Palhoça, seguir a BR-282 até Bom Retiro e depois descer pela SC-110.

De ônibus: as empresas que fazem viagens até Urubici são Nevatur, Catarinense e Reunidas.

De avião:

os aeroportos mais próximos são: Lages , Criciúma , Jaguaruna e Florianópolis.

Atrações

A atração mais famosa de Urubici é a Pedra Furada, uma formação de pedra em forma de janela, com aproximadamente 30 metros de circunferência. Pode ser visualizada do alto Morro da Igreja, à direita de quem chega ao topo (é preciso estacionar o carro e caminhar cerca de 20 metros em direção à borda do cânion).

O município também tem muitas cachoeiras para visitar. A mais famosa delas é a Cascata Véu de Noiva. Também há cânions, mirantes, turismo de aventura e um criadouro de trutas.

Também é possível fazer trilha, a pé ou de bicicleta, no Morro Agudo, a 1.745 metros de altura. É preciso ir com guia.

Urupema

Urupema tem 2.656 habitantes, segundo o Censo 2022. A cidade fica a uma altitude de 1.425 metros. O município tem grande ocorrência de geada, cerca de 50 por ano, conforme a prefeitura. Possui 350.037 quilômetros de extensão.

Como chegar

De carro:

Está a 26 quilômetros de Painel, ligada pela Rodovia das Araucárias, na SC-439, e a 18 quilômetros de Rio Rufino. Distante de Lages por 52 quilômetros e de Florianópolis por 198 quilômetros, via BR-282.

De ônibus:

as empresas que fazem viagens até Urupema são Nevatur, Catarinense e Reunidas.

De avião:

os aeroportos mais próximos são: Lages , Criciúma , Jaguaruna e Florianópolis.

Uma das atrações de destaque de Urupema é a cascata que congela. É uma queda d’àgua de 13 metros, situada a 7 quilômetros do centro do município de Urupema, a 1580 metros de altitude. A cachoeira leva esse nome por congelar nos dias mais frios do inverno.

Outra atração famosa é o Morro das Antenas, o ponto mais alto da cidade, com 1.750 metros. Proporciona bela paisagem da região. O nome do morro se deve à existência de antenas de telefonia e de televisão. Com tempo bom, o acesso de carro é fácil. O morro fica a 7 quilômetros do centro de Urupema.

Outras atrações incluem turismo de aventura, fazendas e grutas.

Bom Jardim da Serra

Bom Jardim da Serra tem 4.026 habitantes, segundo o Censo 2022. A cidade fica a uma altitude de 1.250 metros. O município tem 35 cachoeiras com pelo menos dez metros de altura, conforme a prefeitura. Possui 935.872 quilômetros de extensão.

Como chegar

De carro:

Bom Jardim da Serra fica às margens da SC-390 – que liga a BR-282, na altura de Lages, à BR-101, na altura de Tubarão. Para quem vem do Oeste, fica 42 km depois de São Joaquim. Para quem vem do Leste, 24 km depois de Lauro Müller. Um caminho alternativo, para quem vem do Sul, são as rodovias SC-444 e SC-446, passando por Criciúma e Orleans.

De ônibus:

as empresas que fazem viagens até Bom Jardim da Serra são Nevatur, Catarinense e Reunidas.

De avião:

os aeroportos mais próximos são os situados nos municípios de Jaguaruna, a 110 km, e Lages, a 122 km. O aeroporto de Florianópolis fica distante cerca de 211 km.

UM LUGAR CHAMADO PRAIA DE ENXU QUEIMADO / RN: BREVE HISTÓRIA

A região nordeste do Brasil é conhecida em todo mundo pelas suas belas praias de águas quentes e paisagens paradisíacas que já foram cenários de novelas brasileiras, nesta imensidão de quilômetros de praias uma merece destaque e é de certo modo vista por muitos como um pedacinho do paraíso na terra em decorrência de sua tranquilidade, povo hospitaleiro e uma bela praia para descanso nas férias e quem sabe até para morar.

Com todos esses atrativos, existem poucas informações disponíveis na internet sobre esse pedacinho do paraíso brasileiro. Diante deste contexto de ausência de informações nos meios de comunicações, eu venho expor por meio de uma breve história aos leitores um pouco sobre essa magnífica praia do litoral nordestino.

A praia de Enxu Queimado no Município de Pedra Grande está localizada exatamente a uma distância de 147 Km da cidade do Natal (Capital do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte). Para os visitantes que optarem por sair da Cidade do Natal, existem duas rotas para este destino paradisíaco.

A primeira rota apresenta um percurso de 134 Km partindo de Natal via BR 101, o roteiro se faz pelas belas praias do litoral norte de Touros e chegando em São Miguel do Gostoso, o trecho final da estrada entre São Miguel do Gostoso até Enxu Queimado é de terra, trecho acidentado, necessitando conduzir o veículo em uma velocidade bastante reduzida e consequentemente levando mais tempo para o destino final da viagem (são 33 Km de estrada que liga a essas duas praias).

No que se refere a segunda rota a opção é via BR 406, neste outro percurso temos um trecho um pouco mais longo de 142 Km, sempre partindo de Natal, via os Municípios de Ceará-Mirim, João Câmara, Parazinho, chegando em Pedra Grande. todo o percurso é asfaltado até a cidade de Pedra Grande, o trecho final da viagem entre Pedra Grande até Enxu Queimado e de estrada de terra de igual modo o trecho da primeira opção de rota entre São Miguel do Gostoso e Enxu Queimado, no devido momento desta postagem existe um projeto em andamento que tem como objetivo asfaltar este trecho do percurso (Pedra Grande - Enxu Queimado) e que diga-se de passagem se encontra bem adiantado com previsão de finalização para os próximos meses, porém, bem antes dos períodos de chuvas da região.

A origem desta localidade tem uma forte relação com um vilarejo antigo chamado Canto de Baixo, situado nas proximidades de Enxu Queimado, com uma distância aproximada de 4 Km. O trajeto para chegar as ruinas desse antigo vilarejo só se torna viável feito por meio de trilhas, não existem estradas entre as duas localidade, um percurso repleto de belas dunas e vegetação local.

Segundo as belas narrativas dos nativos antigos, Canto de Baixo estava situada em um local com muitas dunas, matas, lagoas, e locais de várzeas que durante o verão se transformavam em grandes salinas, a qual exploração era para o contexto da época  o meio que as pessoas do povoado dispunha para uma melhor conservação do pescado e alimentação básica das famílias durante todo o ano, mesmo no período de queda da produção do pescado.

No dia 20 de Janeiro de 1924 a região das várzeas rodeavam o Canto de Baixo e um grande inverno inundou o povoado, obrigando boa parte da população a se deslocar para a praia das proximidades, hoje praia de Enxu Queimado  que era apenas um espaço de ponto de pesca, com construções conhecidas como rancho construídos por pescadores para guardar seu material de pesca e proteger suas pequenas embarcações (jangadas).

No que se refere ao surgimento do nome dado ao novo endereço no litoral já habitado pela população, existe uma narrativa contada pelos mais antigos da comunidade que na década de 1920 os pescadores identificaram na localidade e ao longo do caminho que levava a mesma enxames de abelhas/ vespas conhecidas na região como abelhas Enxu, podiam ser vistas nas pedras, nas Carnaúbas, nos Juazeiros e coqueiros. Conforme esses enxames foram aumentando - o que dificultava o acesso à praia e a pernoitar no rancho de pesca - os pescadores decidiram queimar os enxames e a praia passou a ser denominada Praia de Enxu Queimado.

Há, os moradores que tomaram a decisão de permanecer no antigo povoado, na medida que os alagamentos aumentaram passaram também migrar de maneira forçada para Enxu Queimado, por fim, na década de 1980 no antigo vilarejo restava apenas uma única família e no ano 1986 já não existia absolutamente ninguém como morador.

Inicialmente por se tratar de uma população sem muitos recursos, as primeiras moradias que foram construídas com a chegada dessas pessoas eram de palhas de coqueiros, galhos e barro, mudavam-se constantemente de local em decorrência do movimento dos “morros” (dunas). Os moradores estavam constantemente reposicionando, construindo e desconstruindo suas casas em um novo lugar dentro do território. Nessa época as famílias viviam, basicamente, da agricultura familiar para subsistência e da pesca artesanal para o consumo e para venda. O pescado era vendido na feira de Pedra Grande.

Existem relatos que muitas famílias da época não se adaptaram e voltaram para a antiga comunidade tempos depois, essas famílias viviam primordialmente da agricultura e o principal motivo dessa não adaptação era que essa pesca voltava-se ao alto mar. Mesmo sendo pescadores também, suas pescarias no Canto de Baixo eram realizadas nas vazantes e não em mar aberto, porém, a maioria permaneceu no litoral.

Muitos anos já se passaram, Canto de Baixo continua sendo um espaço de grande importância e repleto de significado para todos os moradores atualmente. Tudo isso se deve pelo valor simbólico das memórias de  seus primeiro moradores que foram passadas de pais para filhos, ainda pela grande importância que o local tem para a comunidade hoje, lembrando que é de lá que os nativos  continuam coletando frutas, sal, praticam a caça e pesca nas cheias das vazantes durante os períodos de inverno, complementando dessa maneira a base alimentar que de início da povoação era mais precária. A população de maneira alguma perdeu os laços pelo fato de terem migrado diante das constantes cheias daquele espaço.

Hoje Enxu Queimado é uma comunidade na qual os moradores se autodeclaram como Comunidade Tradicional Pesqueira, sua população total chega a aproximadamente 2.389 moradores, continua com a mesma tranquilidade de sempre e de fama de povo bastante hospitaleiro.

Além das pesca e agricultura, vem se desenvolvendo um projeto na comunidade com apoio de diversos órgãos e a Colônia de Pescadores Z-32 voltado para o turismo de base comunitária. Essa modalidade de turismo é o tipo de experiência de turismo no qual a comunidade organiza e presta serviços para os visitantes, tais como: trabalhar como “guia” local, levar para pescar, para conhecer a roça, a casa de farinha, oferecer hospedagem, alimentação etc, de maneira mais sustentável.

Kapag isa lamang sa mga partido sa isang walang bisang kasal ang may mabuting loob, ang bahagi ng nang linlang na partido sa kanilang ari-arian ay mapapawalang bisa at maililipat ito sa kanilang mga anak.

Kung hindi kinuha o ayaw tanggapin ng isa o lahat ng mga anak ang ari-arian o mga inapo, ang kanilang bahagi sa ari-arian ay mapupunta sa mga nabubuhay na inapo. Kung wala ang mga ito, mapupunta ang bahagi ng ari-arian sa inosenteng partido. Sa lahat ng nabanggit, ang pagtanggi ay magaganap lamang sa pagtatapos ng kanilang pagsasama.

Facts:

Antonio Valdes and Consuelo Gomez were married on 05 January 1971. Begotten during the marriage were five children. In a petition, dated 22 June 1992, Valdes sought the declaration of nullity of the marriage pursuant to Article 36 of the Family Code (docketed Civil Case No. Q-92-12539, Regional Trial Court of Quezon City, Branch 102). After hearing the parties following the joinder of issues, the trial court,1 in its decision of 29 July 1994, granted the petition.

The petitioner and respondent are directed to start proceedings on the liquidation of their common properties as defined by Article 147 of the Family Code, and to comply with the provisions of Articles 50, 51 and 52 of the same code, within thirty (30) days from notice of this decision.

Consuelo Gomez sought a clarification of that portion of the decision directing compliance with Articles 50, 51 and 52 of the Family Code. She asserted that the Family Code contained no provisions on the procedure for the liquidation of common property in “unions without marriage.” Parenthetically, during the hearing on the motion, the children filed a joint affidavit expressing their desire to remain with their father, Antonio Valdes, herein petitioner.

Whether or not the trial court correctly applied Article 147 of the Family Code to the present case and Articles 50, 51 and 52 of the same code to govern their common property.

Ruling:

Yes. The trial court correctly applied the law. In a void marriage, regardless of the cause thereof, the property relations of the parties during the period of cohabitation is governed by the provisions of Article 147 or Article 148, such as the case may be, of the Family Code. The rules set up to govern the liquidation of either the absolute community or the conjugal partnership of gains, the property regimes recognized for valid and voidable marriages (in the latter case until the contract is annulled), are irrelevant to the liquidation of the co-ownership that exists between common-law spouses. The first paragraph of Article 50 of the Family Code, applying paragraphs (2), (3), (4) and (5)of Article 43, relates only, by its explicit terms, to voidable marriages and, exceptionally, to void marriages under Article 40 of the Code, i.e., the declaration of nullity of a subsequent marriage contracted by a spouse of a prior void marriage before the latter is judicially declared void. The latter is a special rule that somehow recognizes the philosophy and an old doctrine that void marriages are inexistent from the very beginning and no judicial decree is necessary to establish their nullity.
