The Tuohys put Michael Oher under conservatorship instead of adopting him so that he could not be an heir to their estates like their bio children. End of story.
I hope Michael Oher has a great legal team to get all the money the Tuohys made off of him that doesn't even include the Hollywood movie. I never watched "The Blind Side" because I did not like the idea that this white family took this black male in because he had potential for football. If he was into science, math or the arts they wouldn't have bothered.
Outside of getting actually money off of Michael Oher, the damning part of this is that Tuohys knew everything he did because a conservator gets all the info as the main part of their job. Half his life all his personal info going to the Tuohys. Ole Miss and the NFL had to know about the conservatorship and said nothing. SMH
Adult adoption is a real legal thing in the USA for a solid 100 years. Any adult 18 and older can be legally adopted.

Former NFL star Michael Oher, subject of the book and movie "The Blind Side," alleges that the couple who took him in as a teenager misled him into believing they were adopting him — and instead placed him in a conservatorship, according to a court filing Monday. "The lie of Michael's adoption is one upon which Co-Conservators Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy have enriched themselves at the expense of their Ward, the undersigned Michael Oher," the petition to terminate the conservatorship in Shelby County Court in Tennessee said. The story of Oher and the Tuohy family became the subject of an Oscar-winning film, “The Blind Side,” starring actor Sandra Bullock in the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy. The film, based on the Michael Lewis book of the same name, chronicled Oher’s life as a homeless child through his college football career and eventual NFL stardom.
The Tuohys negotiated a deal with 20th Century Fox that left Oher without any payment for the rights to his name, likeness and life story while the Tuohy family received a contract price of $225,000 in addition to 2.5% of the film’s net proceeds, the petition states. The film has grossed over $300 million, the petition says. A $200,000 donation was also made to Leigh Anne Tuohy's charitable foundation. Oher made no money off the film, the petition said, which was released after he completed his college career and would not have impacted his NCAA eligibility. According to the petition, Oher does not recall signing the agreement for the rights to his life story. The document has a signature that appears to be his, but "nobody ever presented this document to him with any explanation."
His petition accuses the Tuohys of a breach of their fiduciary duty as conservators “so gross and appalling that they should by sanctioned by this court." Oher was a ward of the state of Tennessee by the age of 11 and was homeless as a child, according to the filing. A friend's father helped Oher enroll in Briarcrest Christian School in 2002, where Oher played both basketball and football. The families of classmates often let Oher, who fell through the cracks of a "broken social system," stay in their homes during his time, the petition said. "Where other parents of Michael's classmates saw Michael simply as a nice kid in need, Conservators Sean Tuohy and Leigh Anne Tuohy saw something else: A gullible young man whose athletic talent could be exploited for their own benefit," the petition said.

Memphis Fire Department intern saves man’s life
The Briarcrest Christian School graduate was driving home last month when she came across a crash at Highway 385 at Kirby Parkway. It was a man who drove into the wall.
"There was no one out there," Mosley says.
The driver wasn't breathing.
So Mosley, and another woman who pulled up, performed CPR until first responders arrived.

Elite 3 Magazine 20/20 TENNESSEE POWER RANKINGS WEEK 8
1. Oakland (7-0) The Patriots have all the riches in Jordan James Isaiah Horton, and Patterson. They ran the clock on a good Brentwood team vaulting them back to the top spot in the rankings. Look for the Pats to be in Cookeville under the lights with all the stars.
2. Brentwood Academy (7-0) The Eagles continue their revenge tour by sliding pass Knox Catholic 27-21. They look confident as ever as they welcome rival MBA on Granny White Pk. The power 5 line looks primed and ready to make a statement.
3. Maryville (7-0) Those Rebels never forget how to compete, and all they do is play for Gold Balls. They dismantled Fulton 35-0 Next Up a 5-1 Bradley Central team. Should be lightweight for the Rebels.
4. CPA (4-0) The only thing that can stop the Lions is Covid-19 and we don’t count those forfeits in these rankings. The Lions play tomorrow for a Thursday night rendezvous with Ravenwood. This will be a great test for the Lions will they continue to be the kings of the jungle or will the birds fly away with a win.
5. Powell (7-0) The Panthers continue to dominate in high fashion making easy work out of opponents behind Potts and his wide receiver crew, the defense isn’t shabby either. Wait a minute it’s an undefeated opponent on the schedule not to far away named West who’s undefeated and looking for respect. All eyes out west but the games in the East hold on to your popcorn this will be a good one.
6. McCallie (6-1) Oh my the defending state champs in the hardest division in TN made a statement Friday with a dominating win vs rival Baylor with a 33-14 win. The Blue Tornadoes are not to be forgotten. Next up Bye week.
7. JP2 (6-1) Kenny Minchey, Kenny Minchey, Kenny Minchey. Mr. Minchey went into west end and dominated MBA and pulled off a dandy with a 38-35 win. The Knights are for real and Minchey has a bright future and SEC interest after his performance. Look for him to put up bigger numbers against MUS for all the marbles in D2 AAA West. Next up Bye Week.
8. Alcoa (6-1) Alcoa is Alcoa and they continue to dominate with their only loss being a tight one vs Maryville. The only thing keeping them from the gold ball is time.
9. Christian Brothers (5-1) CBHS looks to be the class of the west and that shouldn’t change when they host a woeful St. Benedict team after this weeks bye. Look for Dallas Hayden to have about 300 yards rushing.
10. Knox West (7-0) The Rebels of the West love to pick fights and they have one on there hands as they face the hyped and deserved Powell Panthers. This one for Knox Vegas!!!
11. MBA (3-1) The Big Red lost a tough one on West End to JP2 38-35 on a 45 yard field goal. This was the second time in school history that JP2 has beat roll red. The West End Boyz have no time to dwell as they go on the road to take on rivalry Brentwood Academy should be a good one.
12. Lipscomb (4-2) The Mustangs come back to the rankings in dominant fashion behind the touchdown machine RB Alex Broome and a stingy Dilfer defense who annilated and decapitated a good Briarcrest offense and held them to a big fat goose egg 42-0. Next up a 4-1 Rossview team.
13. Dobyns-Bennett (6-0) DBHS won big with a throttling of JCHS 42-0 next up a familiar foe in Farragut. The Cyclones will be 7-0 before you know it.
14. Bartlett (6-1) The Panthers are quietly putting together a dominant season with a great win over Christian Brothers and the only loss coming from CPA. The Panthers have some business to tend to Friday vs their neighbor a 5-3 Arlington team.
15. Elizabethton (6-0) Another win another day for the Cyclones they stay consistent. Look for another scrimmage and warm up for the Freshman to play as they take on woeful 0-5 Union County (wake me up when its over).
16. Tullahoma (6-0) Them Wildcats are nothing like the movie as they are reaking havoc in 4A. Thomas and the gang could possibly end up in Cookeville. Next up Lawrence County this one will be over before it starts.
17. Baylor (3-1) The Red Raiders took one on the chin from rival across the street McCallie and look to seek revenge and make themselves feel better against Father Ryan. Watch out Red Raiders Father Ryan is much improved.
18. Davidson Academy (6-0) Da Bears Da Bears don’t worry Davidson we see you coming for that 3 peat. Swinea, JuJu, Oliphant we got you!! Question is do you guys have USJ this week only time will tell.
19. Pearl Cohn (3-0) The Firebirds seem to be getting there feet beneath them after being quarantined for the start of the season as they beat down the over hyped East Eagles 42-21. Now they will get to work on some plays and play some freshman as they take on a woeful Stratford Spartan team.
20. McMinn County (6-0) Them Cherokees out of Athens come to play every Friday night and every Friday night they leave with a win. We see nothing different this week as they host 1-4 Notre Dame.
Bubble: Goodpasture, ECS, South Pitt, Peabody, Hardin County, Beech, Summit, Ravenwood, Brentwood, DCA, TKA, Peabody
Games of the Week: MBA vs Brentwood Academy (The Rivalry Continues) /CPA vs. ravenwood

With early signing day right around the corner, things are heating up on the Plains.
We are just over 1 week from early signing day which means it’s crunch time on the recruiting trail. This past weekend was one of two remaining weekends for top programs around the country to get their top targets on campus before many of them make their final decision and sign. The Tigers hosted eight players on official visits this weekend. All but one is expected to sign on December 18th so this was a big chance for Auburn’s coaching staff to make a final push for some big targets.
Here’s a rundown of who made it to campus this past weekend
4* LB Wesley Steiner | 6’0” | 220 lbs | Warner Robins, GA
Committed to Auburn since the beginning of July, Steiner has remained rock solid to the Tigers throughout his recruitment. Due to his quiet recruitment and the drama surrounding Auburn’s previously top ranked linebacker commit Trenton Simpson, Steiner doesn’t get the amount of attention you might expect for a top 100 player. But I have a feeling Auburn fans will be talking about him plenty when he suits up for the Tigers next fall. He’s a special athlete that has a chance to make an impact as a true freshman in 2020.
4* DT McKinnley Jackson | 6’2” | 327 lbs | Lucedale, MS
Jackson is the only visitor this weekend not expected to sign early. Instead, the former LSU commit plans to use the rest of his visits in January and announce his decision on National Signing Day in February. But this was likely the last time he will be on campus for the Tigers before his decision so Auburn hopefully made the most of it. He confirmed with reporters Sunday afternoon that he’s dropped Ole Miss from his top five following Matt Luke’s firing meaning he’s down to Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M. He’s already officially visited the Tide and will use his remaining three visits in January. Auburn is in the middle of this race and I think it will come down to an AU/A&M battle.

4* WR J.J. Evans | 6’2” | 185 lbs | Montevallo, AL
Another longtime Auburn commit, Evans was #2 in receiving yards in the state of Alabama last season. Unfortunately, an ankle injury hampered Evans much of the 2019 campaign but he still put together a productive senior season. At one time this fall it looked like the Crimson Tide might become a factor for the state’s 5th ranked player but Evans appears to be all Auburn at this time and is expected to sign during the early signing period.
4* CB Brian George | 6’2” | 190 lbs | Belle Glade, FL
One of the most important visitors this weekend was the nation’s #6 overall JUCO prospect Brian George. He’s had an interesting recruitment to say the least. Auburn looked to be close to landing his pledge following the War Eagle Picnic but then George went dark. There were rumors he would take an official visit to Kentucky but that never happened. Instead, he popped up in College Station one weekend resulting in many believing he would end up an Aggie. But George decided to visit for the Iron Bowl last weekend and it looks like that might have been a game changer for Auburn in his recruitment. After leaving his official visit this past weekend, he told reporters that Auburn was now his top team and he would announce his decision later this week. The Tigers want at least one more DB in this class. Could George finish off what has been an outstanding 2020 DB class for the Tigers?
Back in auburn this Weekend for an Official
— BrianGeorge (@briangeorge1100) December 6, 2019
3* OT Jeremy Flax | 6’6” | 320 lbs | Detroit, MI
Last week, AuburnUndercover’s Brandon Marcello reported that Auburn’s top ranked JUCO commit Kilien Zierer had suffered an ACL injury and would miss all of spring practice. For a few weeks now there has been buzz that longtime JUCO OT commit Jonathan Buskey might have some academic issues preventing him from enrolling at Auburn. Auburn’s final JUCO OL commit, Brenden Coffey, is not expected to enroll until this summer. So that means Auburn has 3 JUCO OT commits but none capable of battling for the starting spot this spring.
Enter Jeremy Flax.
The newly minted top JUCO OT in the 2020 class per 247 Composite, Flax has suddenly become a top target for the Tigers. Auburn offered him last week and then were able to get him on campus this past weekend. He apparently liked what he saw, naming the Tigers his top team following his official visit. He still has one final official visit to Lexington before making his decision. Flax has three years to play three after redshirting his freshman season at Independence Community College and is also an early enrollee. This would be a very big late pull if Auburn could pull it off.

— Jeremy Flax 6️⃣6️⃣ (@BiggFlax) December 9, 2019
3* DT Dallas Walker | 6’4” | 315 lbs | Smyrna, TN
There is one simple rule you can follow when attempting to evaluate high school defensive line talent. Does Rodney Garner want this kid?
Despite not boasting the flashiest rating, Walker is one of Auburn’s top targets in the 2020 class. After evaluating the Tennessee native in person this past spring, Auburn offered and have been heavily pursuing ever since. Walker committed to Texas A&M back in June but has been a frequent visitor to Auburn’s campus in recent weeks including witnessing the Iron Bowl just last weekend inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. He was back on campus this weekend but declined to do interviews. If a flip happens, it likely won’t come until signing day. With that said, I think Auburn is a in a very good spot to land a 2nd stud defensive lineman from the state of Tennessee in the 2020 class.
3* OL Jeremiah Wright | 6’4” | 320 lbs | Selma, AL
There has been some recent Georgia Tech buzz with Wright so it’s good to see him making it to campus this past weekend. He’s a big kid with the potential play anywhere along the line though I suspect his future is in the interior. Wright is not expected to be an early enrollee but could sign on December 18th.
3* DL Daniel Foster-Allen | 6’4” | 250 lbs | Mobile, AL
Probably the least talked about recruit in this class, Foster-Allen committed to Auburn back in February and basically shut his recruitment down. He took what will be his only official visit over the weekend and is as locked in with the Tigers as any recruit. I suspect he will start his career at strong side defensive end (ala Marlon Davidson) but grow into an interior defensive lineman.
Decision Dates Set
With signing day just over a week away, there are lot of decisions to be made which means a lot of decision dates to be set. Quite a few Auburn targets have already done so starting with a big one later this morning in 4* DL Omari Thomas.
I am blessed and honored to be in this position. I would like to invite everyone to my COLLEGE COMMITMENT and All American Jersey Presentation which will be held on December 9th at Briarcrest Christian School. @AABonNBC @_KhariThompson @Local24Jessica TIME WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON! pic.twitter.com/nMTGXwhJpQ
— Omari "Big O" Thomas (@901_sxvxge) November 24, 2019
This is a recruitment Auburn has made up a ton of ground on in just a few months culminating in his official visit two weekends ago for the Iron Bowl. But while the Tigers have made this a legitimate battle, I will be shocked if Tennessee is not the pick today. The Vols have long been considered one of his top schools and with his close friend and teammate 3* RB Jabari Small expected to pick UT in a few days too, all the signs are there for a big win on the trail for Tennessee. Luckily for Auburn they have some very good remaining options on the table including the afore mentioned Dallas Walker, McKinnley Jackson and JUCO prospect DeAndre Butler (who will not sign until February).
Next there’s long time Auburn LB target 4* LB Desmond Tisdol who has officially locked in his top 3 of Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina with a date set for the first day of the early signing period.
Decision December 18th @AuburnFootball @Vol_Football @GamecockCentral @RobStowe4 @ChadSimmons_ @Mansell247 @Keith247Sports pic.twitter.com/UyuqN5CC8O
— Desmond Tisdol⭐️ (@Des_Tisdol) December 5, 2019
This recruitment has seen plenty of twists and turns. The Gamecocks were the early favorite before Auburn surged ahead this summer. But Wesley Steiner pulled the trigger first, stealing what was at the time the only remaining linebacker slot in the 2020 class for Auburn. But Simpson’s decommitment plus Michael Harris’s decision to transfer has made Tisdol to Auburn a possible scenario once again. However, during the cool down time between Auburn and Tisdol, Jeremy Pruitt’s Vols have made a big move. As of now, Tennessee might be the favorite but it’s probably too close to call today. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to campus before he announces his final decision.
While Auburn is hoping they get a Boom from Brian George later this week, there’s also an underclassmen to consider. Former Ole Miss commit, 4* DB Eric Reed Jr, is set to make his pledge on the first day of early signing day as well.
Signing December 18th @3pm.. pic.twitter.com/n8m1UFZI6F
— Eric Reed Jr (@EricReedJr3) December 5, 2019
While he lists a top four of Auburn, LSU, Georgia and Notre Dame, this is really a two team battle between the Dawgs and Tigers. UGA was seen as the leader heading into his official visit this past weekend so this might be a tough race for Auburn to win. If Auburn does indeed land George then I think they will be ok with missing on Reed. Still, UGA is pursuing some other elite CB talent so there’s always a chance Reed loses his spot there too. I don’t expect it to happen but you can never really know in recruiting.
Finally, a very big domino is expected to drop in the 2021 class the day before the start of the early signing period. The #38 prospect in next year’s class, 4* OT Micah Morris, will make his decision next Tuesday.
No more interviews at this time... Commitment on the 17th pic.twitter.com/ENjEgyoHYw
— Micah Morris® (@MicahMorris56cc) December 6, 2019
Like Reed, this is believed to be another Auburn-Georgia contest. The Dawgs have long been thought to be the leader but Auburn has made a strong charge in recent weeks including hosting Morris for the Iron Bowl. There was also a recent staff change in Athens that could make things interesting too...
Coaching Carousel Impact
The coaching carousel is at full tilt. Many of these changes will likely have an effect on Auburn’s recruiting efforts down the road. Lane Kiffin will make Mississipp recruiting even wilder than usual. Mike Norvell could try and poach his former assistants from Malzahn at his new FSU gig. A former Malzahn protege is likely headed to Columbia so could see some more Auburn/Missouri battles down the road. But undoubtedly the biggest news so far has been Arkansas’s surprising move to hire away UGA’s OL coach Sam Pittman.
We’ve got ourselves a new Head Hog! Welcome to Arkansas, Coach Pittman! pic.twitter.com/is92knv5pQ
— Arkansas Razorback Football (@RazorbackFB) December 9, 2019
Kirby Smart has built a recruiting death machine in Athens, reeling in top class after top class since his arrival. Sam Pittman has been a key cog in that machine. In his four years between the hedges, he helped sign 8 top 100 OL, four being 5*s and currently has four more top 200 players committed including 5* OT Broderick Jones. This is a big loss for the Dawgs.
More importantly, it could be a big boost for the Tigers. Auburn has never given up their pursuit of the nation’s #2 overall offensive tackle prospect Jones. Just last week, he confirmed that he won’t be signing early and will be taking an official visit to the Plains in January.
With an #Auburn OL commit flirting with Bama, the Tigers will get an official from a 5-star OT committed elswhere (VIP) https://t.co/s0m8k6X96X pic.twitter.com/IWMKXOmIDo
— Keith Niebuhr (@Keith247Sports) December 5, 2019
As mentioned above, one of the best OL prospects in the country for the 2021 class is expected to make his decision next week. Does he decide to hold off or pull the trigger? There will be some fall out from this move. Will it result in some crucial wins on the trail for the Tigers? We will see but this is definitely something to track in the coming weeks.

Briarcrest Christian School - Eads, TN the Sparks Chapel Fine Arts Center
by: @flemingarchitects @fohonline @briarcrest

Sports roundup: Hustle crowned again by Kings | Sports | desototimes.com
Tyler Harvey scored 20 points and Memphis Grizzlies’ assignee Ivan Rabb added 19, but late possessions proved costly as the Memphis Hustle dropped its second straight game to the Stockton Kings, 103-100 Thursday night at the Landers Center in Southaven.
Stockton defeated Memphis 103-94 last week in California in the finale of a season-long six-game road trip for the now 13-9 Hustle. Stockton improved to 12-7 and has now won seven straight contests.
In an extremely tight fourth quarter, Tarik Phillip put the Hustle ahead 97-95 with 3:45 remaining. However, the Kings would hold Memphis scoreless the rest of the way until a three-pointer at the buzzer by Tyler Harvey finished up the contest.
“I thought they started the game off with more energy than we did,” said Hustle coach Brad Jones. “We were able to get the lead in the second half. We had some terrific stops down the stretch but they had some too. It was a disappointing outcome for us, but they’re a good team and they’re going to be in the playoff hunt.”
Harvey seemed to be the most productive for Memphis Thursday night with his 20 points, seven assists and eight rebounds.
“Tyler’s been on a really good stretch,” Jones said. “He was all-G League Showcase. He’s in a good rhythm and he’s a guy who could get a lot more shots than he does but he’s also getting other people involved.”
Kalin Lucas led the Kings with team highs in points (21) and assists (6), including the team’s final six points of the game. Reggie Hearn scored all 20 of his points in the first half and finished 6-of-9 from three-point range.
Memphis returns to the road briefly to play a noon game Saturday at Austin, Texas, then returns home to meet the Canton (Ohio) Charge Monday night at the Landers Center, starting at 7 p.m.
BOYS BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS: In Thursday night action, Lewisburg defeated Kossuth 68-45, with Zach Hammett scoring 18 points and Eli Lamb getting 15 more. Magnolia Heights topped Washington School 54-43 and Northpoint Christian outscored Memphis Catholic 82-54.
GIRLS BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS: Thursday evening action saw Kossuth defeat Lewisburg 72-18 and Magnolia Heights claimed a low-scoring 27-19 decision over Washington School.
QUISTORS PLAY NATIONAL HOOPFEST: The Olive Branch boys basketball team took on Chicago, Ill. Simeon Friday night in the National Hoopfest at Olive Branch High School. The Quistors will move to Briarcrest Christian School on Saturday night to continue in the classic and face Bartlett, Tenn. High School, which entered the weekend with an 11-1 record. Game time for the Olive Branch-Bartlett game is at 8 p.m. Part of the $12 ticket price for the event goes to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
HAYES LEADS MTSU TO ANOTHER WIN: Former Horn Lake Lady Eagle A’Queen Hayes’ 16 points led Middle Tennessee State to a 49-43 Conference USA schedule-opening win over Florida International Thursday night. Hayes, a graduated senior transfer from Eastern Kentucky, added 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the campaign.
BAKER TIES SEASON STEALS HIGH IN WIN: Former Northpoint Christian all-stater Ashtyn Baker threw in six points but tied her season high for steals with three in Liberty University’s 61-42 victory over West Chester Wednesday, the Lady Flames’ final non-conference contest before the start of Atlantic Sun Conference play. Baker’s thievery gave her at least one steal for the 17th straight game, dating back to last season. Liberty has a 4-9 overall record.
SINGLETARY SET FOR FCA EVENT: Tickets and tables continue to be sold for the Feb. 7 Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) annual fundraiser breakfast at the Landers Center in Southaven, starting at 7 a.m. Singletary, the featured speaker, is a Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker with the Chicago Bears. He is now the head coach of the Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express, set to start play next month. All proceeds benefit the FCA. Contact Cecil Sowell at 901-409-1927 or email [email protected]. for more information.
OLIVE BRANCH BASEBALL, SOFTBALL REGISTRATION: Registration for the City of Olive Branch baseball and softball programs is underway now through noon on Feb. 2. Ages are 4-16 years old for boys and 4-14 years old for girls. Register at the Olive Branch Parks and Recreation office, 8877 College Street during office hours.

the blind side movie questions help 11 Uplifting Questions Inspired by The Blind Side, Christine Duvivier
What in his life failed him the most? Uplifting Questions Inspired by The Blind Side. I sometimes wonder why so much of what is considered “good literature” for ourselves and for students has to be dark, depressing, or unhappy. I’m not against stories in which something bad happens, but knowing that bad news seizes and clings, while good news slides right off us, I like to prime myself with uplifting stories (and in case you’re wondering, far more good things happen in a day than bad– it’s just that we give more weight to the bad). One uplifting story, The Blind Side, is my new favorite book. My book group knows because they are reading it with me (my second time) this month. I like it because it is well-written, tells the story of a boy with a difficult life who finds his way to success, and tells the story of one family’s kindness and generosity. While I know some would not consider this “good literature,” I think The Blind Side would be a terrific book to add to a high school (perhaps middle school) reading list. If you haven’t read it, let me just point out that gore, personal hardship and villains keep it from being a cotton-candy story. There’s plenty to absorb and discuss. A number of questions came to my mind as I read and it occurred to me that there would probably be a discussion guide online where I could find interesting questions for our book group discussion. What I found was a mixed bag. The publisher had (in my opinion of course) some great questions and some poor questions. One of the poor questions: #3-” When Michael Oher arrived at Briarcrest Christian, he had very little in the way of education. His mother? The educational system? Social services? Himself?” … Really, do we have to read him as a victim? Yes, his life was far from ideal and yet he found a way through. How did he do it?... View more ...

Michael Oher supports Freeze after Ole Miss resignation
Michael Oher supports Freeze after Ole Miss resignation
Free-agent offensive tackle Michael Oher showed support Thursday for his former high school coach, Hugh Freeze, who resigned last week after it was reported a number dialed on his phone belonged to an escort service. Oher played for Freeze at Briarcrest Christian School before moving on to Ole Miss. “Without coach Freeze there is no Michael Oher and no ‘The Blind Side,'” Oher told Josh Peter of…

Elite 3 Magazine 20/20 TENNESSEE POWER RANKINGS WEEK 4
1. Oakland-( 3-0 ) The Patriots are rocking and rolling with transfers Jordan James and Isaiah Horton will anyone stand in their way definitely not a 1-1 Stewarts Creek team look for starters to not play after the first quarter. Next Up- Stewarts Creek
2. Maryville –(3-0) The Rebels look to play little brother this week in another showdown for the ages and the bragging rights to who runs the East and the smokey mountains. Can the Rebels hold off a talented Alcoa team with the best defense in the state. Next Up -Alcoa
3. MBA- (0-0) The West End boyz finally make it to the football field after memo’s and political statements. Some say the ranking is too high for a team who hasn’t played. Lets see what the Big Red have in store or are them and their young QB all hype?? Next up- Briarcrest
4. Alcoa- (3-0) The Tornadoes have been nothing but dominant and impressive in their first 3 wins. They look to stay that way as they take on the biggest rivalry game in the state 6A Maryville. Will Alcoa prove that they are the best team in the state. Next Up- Maryville
5. Baylor–( 1-0) Elijah Howard and Neyland Jean continue to terrorize defenses and look virtually unstoppable this season as the cruised to a 54-14 win last week. Next up-Chattanooga Central
6. Ravenwood–( 3-0) The Raptors have been dominant and impressive but are nursing some injuries to key players. Will they have enough for a high scoring, no punting out of state Pulaski Academy team? Next Up- Pulaski Academy
7. Brentwood Academy (3-0) The eagles have proved that as usual they play and beat the best with a nail biter against a good McCallie team for a west region win. They could be the best team in the state but only time will tell. Next Up- Clearwater Academy.
8. CPA (2-0) The Lions have roared to a 2-0 start against two 6A schools but incomes the Big Dog in the Tigers. Is CPA for real? We will know after Ensworth Next Up- Ensworth
9. Ensworth (0-0) The Tigers come out the gate with their first opponent being a Lion. Big test for the Tigers as they take on a good and undefeated CPA team.
10. ECS (2-0) The Eagles stay consistent knocking off Arlington and Harding Academy next up 6A Houston.
11. Summit (3-0) The Spartans have dominated so far and that doesn’t look to stop as they face a Franklin team that should be no match for QB Destin Wade.
12. Powell (3-0) The Sophmore sensation Jordyn Potts continues to pull tricks out of his hat, and shouldn’t need any this week as they face a woeful Karns team.
13. JP2 (3-0) First 3-0 start in Knights history after a big win in Memphis against Briarcrest, now the real fun starts as they compete for the CUP vs Catholic rival Father Ryan. Look for Antwan Roberts to have 200 yards and 3tds. Remember you heard it here first.
14. Knox Central (3-0) The Bobcats look to be for real with impressive wins over Fulton and Sevier County. Look for another impressive one as they take on a woeful Hardin Valley team who hasn’t won a game.
15. Elizabethton (3-0) The Cylcones stay fighting as usual and consistent as they take on a 1-2 Daniel Boone team, look for them to rest the starters.
16. USJ (3-0) The Bruins have dominated in their first 3 games and much of the same is expected again this Friday as they will dominate a Tipton-Rosemark team that is 0-1.
17. Christian Brothers (3-0) The Purple Wave came out the season running behind Dallas Hayden who rushes for a ton of yards every night. Does White Station have enough to stop him ?
18. Pearl Cohn (0-0) The Firebirds from The North patiently wait to show the world there talent. Sure would like to see them prove there worth because the community and coaches sure think this is the team to beat. Maybe we will put in a call to the powers at be so these boyz can play.
19. Whitehaven (0-0) Respect the Haven always respected never neglected. Would love to see this team play as they bring swagger and toughness to the state like no other.
20. Davidson Academy (2-0) The team off Old Hickory silently putting together another championship run. Next up-Columbia Academy
Bubble: Brentwood, McCallie, Freedom Prep, Knox West, Hardin County, Covington, Peabody, South Pitt, Knox Catholic, Goodpasture, Tullahoma, Beech, Riverdale.
