Pitcairn Islands
Kinda weird that only 39 or so people live on the Pitcairn Islands. But also it's the only territory that makes the UK "the empire on which the sun never sets" now.
But also from memory like 90% of its revenue comes from Foreign Office aid.
And said office is having to go cutting some of it bit by bit bc government overall feeling like saving
So if said aid gets cut down to £0.... what happens?
idk. one way to find out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also another weird quirk for an island nation, they have a pizzeria
idk i might go to adamstown or not

Just found out there’s an island called Inaccessible Island that’s almost completely surrounded by cliffs, and one of the cliffs is called Where-the-Pig-Fell-Off, because humans can’t live there so they tried to fill the island with pigs and they all died. Oh, and the only way to get there is to travel for 7 days in a boat from Cape Town with permission from the government. There’s also an extinct volcano :)

Today 2nd April marks the 42nd Anniversary of the Falklands War, a conflict fought over 8000 miles away from the United Kingdom.
"The people of the Falkland Islands...are few in number but they have the right to live in peace, to choose their own way of life and to determine their own allegiance." – Margaret Thatcher, 1982.
42 years on, we will still defend that right.

Hamilton, Bermuda: The City of Hamilton, in Pembroke Parish, is the territorial capital of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda. It is the territory's financial centre and a port and tourist destination. It is one of the smallest of any capital city… Today, the city overlooking Hamilton Harbour is primarily a business district, with few structures other than office buildings and shops. Wikipedia
