I can totally see Optimus once he becomes magnus, to try and work more with earth and help dispel the fear of organics. I can also see Cass spending more time on earth acting as a representative to earth to help with thar goal. And they fucking hate their job. And the only reason they do it is because after Prowl died, they relapsed into self destructive habits and took any opportunity to be closer to people they trust.

Timeline orientation: End of Season 2

At last, the Decepticon Blurr AU continues!

Blurr gets to know the members of the Earth team in person. He finds out that they too were misfits on Cybertron, bullied, rejected or neglected by their own. He sympathizes with them and tries to plan things out in a way that will leave them unharmed.

Also, the in the Allspark Almanac Blurr says that Longarm sent him to Earth to keep an eye out on the Earth team. This obviously was so that Shockwave could be aware of what they were up to and whether they caught his trail. In this AU, with Blurr not captured by that racer human + willingly spilling out as much info as possible to Longarm, Shockwave would've been able coordinate with the Decepticons much better. Plus, Blurr could feed Optimus' team some disinformation if needed.

I love how Bulkhead has patiently assumed the role of "I must physically hold back the Cee Bee Siblings whenever their rage overcomes them"

They're mad for such good reasons, too.... If Bulkhead hadn't been there to assist...bad, bad things would have gone down on both accounts. Bonus: Ratchet

Look at Bulkhead being a physical barrier between Ratchet, who's furious, and Optimus, whom Ratchet is furiously confronting, while also stepping in front of Arcee in particular, keeping her a good distance away from any wayward punches that might be thrown. Good job, Bulk. He's very patient, very collected. I wonder how many fights he had to break up between the Wreckers. He's definitely practiced.
