Witch Tips: 8 Ways To Advance Your Kitchen Witchery
Tumblr media
Note here: as always, not all of these tips will work for everyone. Take what resonates with you and leave the rest. Where you are in life (how old you are, your budget, and where you live) will influence which of these are available. That’s okay.
One of my biggest frustrations with Kitchen Witch spaces online is that they are (almost always) simply a list of recipes or general kitchen correspondences. Sure, these are parts of kitchen witchery, but there’s more to it than that. I’ve decided to compile a list of things you can do to up the practical side of your craft. You’ll notice that these are not magical tips, per se, but tips on how to deepen your connection to the food you eat and craft with.
Join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farmshare
I’m starting with the big guns here. A CSA is a way to buy a share of a local farm. You give the farmer money ahead of the season (often in the fall, but you can sometimes sign up year-round), and then you get weekly or monthly pickups of their produce all season long. There are so many ways this supports kitchen craft: you are supporting a local farm in your community, you are guaranteeing yourself local seasonal produce, and it’s a great way to save money.
Tumblr media
CSAs tend to be a big investment up front, but the payoff is great – pound for pound, you don’t get those prices in a store. With some CSAs, you can go directly to the farm and choose some or all of what you take home, while others give you a premade box. Some deliver or have pickup points in major cities all over the country. Some come with pick-your-own herbs, tomatoes, and flowers. This is a better choice for an adventurous eater – you will encounter things you’ve never eaten! (If you’re a pickier eater, the next tip might be more your style) Some places have CSAs that include more than just vegs, too. In my area, I could sign up for a meat share, a fruit share, an egg share, and even a flower share!
Visit Your Local Farmer’s Markets
If you like complete control over what you eat but also like the idea of supporting local agriculture, farmer’s markets are a great place to start. You will find anything from in-season fresh-picked produce to eggs, meat, local honey, and more! They are also a great place to find fruit seconds during canning season. When you buy directly from a farm, the money goes into the farmer’s pockets, and the food is often cheaper without the grocer’s markup. Plus, you may get to talk to the people who grow your food, which is a big win in my book. This option is great because it does not involve a big investment like a CSA, and you can buy only what you will use.
Grow Your Own
If the above two options aren’t available to you, or you want to try out your green thumb, why not grow your own herbs, fruit, or veggies this season? I’m not suggesting starting a whole-scale garden if that’s not something you have ever done before – start small and manageable. Pick one thing you KNOW you will eat and grow that. This takes more planning because you must consider your space and time constraints. All plants need soil, light, and nutrients, but each has different needs. Most herbs, tomatoes, and peppers can be grown in containers in smaller spaces, while other plants need a lot of room to grow. A lack of outdoor space can be remedied with a few grow lights. If you’re starting for the first time, this is a list of herbs that are very easy to grow for beginners so long as you give them enough light to thrive: basil, cilantro/coriander, garden sage, lemon balm, mint, lavender, oregano, parsley, rosemary, and thyme.
This can be a really budget-friendly option, too! Many areas have active plant groups with friendly people who are very willing to donate an old grow pot and a start to a newbie gardener. Plus, if you’re growing it yourself, you don’t need to purchase it in a store.
Can, Freeze, Dry, Dehydrate, and Save
Tumblr media
If you end up with a CSA or grow your own, there will likely be a point in the season when you have a bounty too large to consume. When we have enough, we share or save for later. This isn’t a manual on the best ways to preserve your harvest, but you definitely can preserve it for a later date. And, I promise you, nothing is more rewarding in the dead of winter than pulling out something you preserved in the height of summer. Your preservation methods will change depending on what you have an excess of. If you want to get into water bath canning, I suggest picking up any version of the Ball Blue Book, which gives you directions on safe canning methods. If you live in a dry climate, you can dry your herbs by hanging them, but if you’re like me and live in a humid zone, a dehydrator is a safe way to avoid pesky mold issues. Many fruits and vegetables can be frozen, cut up, or whole. Do some research here – you’ll be surprised by what you find.
Use Those Scraps
If you want to be frugal and more environmentally friendly, start keeping your kitchen scraps. Bones and leftover vegetable ends can be frozen and later turned into broth. Citrus peels can candied, dried, or infused into vinegar or vodka. Apple peels can be turned into pectin for jam or jelly making. The ends of tender herbs like cilantro, basil, and parsley can be pulsed into pestos and sauces. The rinds on parmesan cheese can be saved to add to soups or sauces for some extra umami. I could go on, and I’m sure there are a million uses for kitchen scraps I’ve never heard of. If you are interested in this, there are many folk magic resources about using what you already have, and that would be a good place to start. Being frugal saves money and keeps unnecessary waste out of landfills.
Compost
Speaking of landfills, how about keeping your vegetable scraps out of them altogether? Many improvements in composting have allowed it to be done in much smaller spaces. I have a postage stamp-sized backyard, but I have two large compost bins that I rotate using yearly so that one is always curing while the other is being filled up with new produce. Plus, I have natural fertilizer for my garden that came from my kitchen! If you don’t have outdoor space, devices on the market now can compost your kitchen scraps in a few hours. Some seem to be rated for bones, which is pretty cool. They still seem to be pricy, but it’s an option if you can afford it.
Make Your Own
Are you into baking? Did you know you can make your own vanilla extract by putting a vanilla bean into some vodka? It’s virtually eternally reusable because you simply refill the bottle every time you use it. (Sidenote: for a deeper flavor, sub in your favorite dark liquor for the vodka here) Now, you have vanilla extract, which is also vanilla vodka. This also works for other extracts (mint, coffee, and almonds come to mind), but you should research how long to infuse them. Do you love pies? You can make and can your own pie filling while the fruit is in season. Do you love tacos? Make your own salsa. This can really level up your witching because it gives you an extra chance to infuse your magic into your food – once while you prepare the base ingredients and again when you cook them into your meal.
Pick-Your-Own
There is nothing quite like making a strawberry shortcake from start to finish. For me, that starts in the strawberry fields. Picking the berries myself guarantees the best and freshest berries! And it creates a great link between me and the plant where it was growing. In my area, I can pick herbs, flowers, salad, tomatoes, and beans at my local farm share, but depending on the season, I can also find you-pick strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and apples. I try to take advantage of every one. This weekend, I’ll be staying near a you-pick lavender farm and will definitely be visiting there, too! Since you do the work to pick your own, the produce prices tend to be lower, too. This is a great way to get outdoors and connect with what you are cooking with where it is growing.
Wild Harvesting
Tumblr media
This comes with several caveats: You ABSOLUTELY need to do your own research and be 100% sure of your plant identification before you eat anything you harvest from the wild. A mistake can literally kill you! If you have known food allergies, this is not the tip for you—trying any food you haven’t had before is a risk of an allergic reaction, so don’t risk it. Additionally, some wild foods are protected or endangered. Know before you harvest. Take only what you’ll use and leave some for the animals. Practice safe wild harvesting, too – avoid taking from places near major roads, cemeteries, or known hazardous waste dumping grounds for your own safety. On the other hand – harvest invasives to your heart’s content!
*************************
There are, of course, a million ways to kitchen witch and this is simply some of the ways that I like to connect more deeply with my food in all stages of its journey. How do YOU kitchen witch? I'd love to hear more about it - feel free to send me asks telling me what you like to do.
Do you like my work? You can tip me over on Kofi, commission me to write an astrological report for you, or signs up to be a monthly supporter of my writing.

Dragonkin snack ideas
It's late at night, so here's some snack ideas for my fellow dragons out there. These snacks are meant to last for long times, can be made at home with some know how and can possibly made in bulk.
Jerky is a safe option for a meaty snack, doesn't need to be precooked, lasts a long time and can even come in other meats like turkey, deer or pork and it can be made with different spices to suit your taste! And if you know how to, you can easily make jerky at home to your taste! At minimum you need meat and a dehydrator. I still strongly recommend that you follow recipes online before experimenting.
Tumblr media
Next up is pork rinds, a lighter snack. They're easy to find in any store, you can buy them in bulk in large containers. This is also able to be made at home, though you'd need to find cuts of pork skin to deep fry first, and I can't be certain how many of my fellow dragon kin can get access to a butcher. But still, you can buy pork rinds in almost any store!
Tumblr media
This one is for my omnivorous dragonkin out there! Fruit! This one can be made to your liking! Fan of berries, make a berry mix! Like citrus? Make a mix with citrus fruit! The sky is the limit with your personal fruit mix! And if you don't have any ideas for your mix of fruit, then you can always start off simple with fruit cocktail!
Tumblr media
If you have any ideas for your own dragonkin snacks, please let me know! All ideas are welcome!

smart water as a brand is disingenuous, because it's not smart or anything it's just kind of tasty and expensive. But it is not good for providing hydration because there is no sodium at all in it, it's distilled water with the kind of electrolytes that just add flavour and don't do much for replenishing the minerals you need. There's been a few people online who have expressed the fact that it does not help with dehydration unless you add things like cranberry juice or other things which do contain the necessary electrolytes.
So i don't recommend buying smart water, just get whatever water you usually get. Or bottle up the water you have at home. If you can't drink the tap water, maybe get a water filter jug that you can use. And if you're out and about, you can get these water bottles that have filters in them so you can just fill them up whenever, and then drink water safely out of it. Maybe add a few slices of cucumber or some kind of fruit for extra taste and minerals.

wodneswynn Hey, listen: We're not gonna get anywhere with this "socialism" stuff unless we can establish solidarity networks that provide. real, tangible aid. And I do mean "tangible" in the sense of "you can fill up a box with it."
Back in the old-timey days, when we didn't have things like a minimum wage or gov- ernment assistance, folks didn't think twice about paying union dues every month out of their meager paychecks. And in those days, when it was a regular, everyday occurrence for union people to get beat up or outright murdered for their union-ing, the unions still managed to win a lot of their fights. Reason for all that? The bigger part of them union dues I mentioned "went into a strike fund",
Time on a picket line means time off the clock. And as for me, in this economy, if I go a week without a check, my family don't eat. I go two weeks without a check, and we're homeless. And them's the brakes.
Rjenroses: In my community we started a co-op in order to, in part, purchase things with mass buying power (i.e, we can get things at wholesale if we order enough of them, so we can, for example, eat organic food for about what conventional costs a lot of the time.)
But we also set aside a little money each time we order, and that money helps pay for donation boxes... and the social network we created when we created the co-op means that if someone has a crisis, someone else probably has the answer. "This family just lost their job and can't afford to buy presents for their kids" may get a response of "Here are presents for every single family member" or it might end up with finding a job for the people looking for work, or both, because the co-op membership is diverse and represents a lot of people who are otherwise. very connected in the community.
When a part of town is out of power, it's usually possible to find a co-op member who can run for ice or bring a meal, or offer use of a washer/dryer for the evening.
We had one year where we were making donation meal boxes for a holiday, found out on the last delivery about a family in severe need, talked about it in the co-op group and ended up showing up at their house with not only a meal, but enough dry goods, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. for a month, plus a credit with the co-op for fresh fruits andveggies.
I cannot overstate the power of networking. in your community. This one started out. in a natural parenting group, but quickly spread beyond that, from college students to retirees. It's like a small town, only more open-minded. We started with about 20-30 families. There are now hundreds of people involved.
I had a trans kid land with me at one point and asked if anyone had size whatever clothes and within a few hours we had a box on my porch, within a couple days we had a bunch of things he needed.
The co-op keeps a lending library of tools and weirdly specific kitchen devices like an Æbleskiver pan, a food dehydrator, a capsule maker and a carpet cleaner. The kinds of things people need once or twice a year, but might not have the room to store.
We periodically do a buy of sensory toys and sensory bin supplies, for example, because we have a lot of autistic members and parents of autistic kids,I have bought socks from the co-op that were purple with unicorns farting rainbows on them. We recently got in Black History: flashcards and we've done a lot of Black Lives Matter and Hate Has No Home lawn signs. Pretty much if people want it and we can find it at wholesale, the co-op will order it.
It even spawned a side-business (more than one, actually, but this is the relevant one) of an online app for co-op managing, called http://managemy.coop so that other communities could take advantage of our experience and start out with an easier tool than the google spreadsheets we started out with.
Anyway... if you want to network within your community, this is a really, really good way of connecting with a broad cross-section of people.
nyshadidntbreakit: All that stuff about unions still applies, too. Unions have hardship funds. If you're a union member and you're broke, or you've been fired, or whatever, you can apply to the union for a grant to help you out. The binmen in Birmingham pulled off a months-long strike. recently thanks to the union paying their living costs. Unions force employers to pay decent pension contributions and have safe sick leave policies,
If you're employed, join your damn union!
solarpunk gnomes: You might check out http://www.transitionus .org/transition-towns too. They're trying to build resilient communities by getting neighbors to talk with each other about stuff.

Worm Bin Tutorial
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: the information I’m giving is based on my own personal experience and research. Some of the things that work for me may not work in a different setup. If you’re interested in learning more, I’d highly recommend the book “Worms Eat My Garbage” by Mary Appelhof.
Why have a worm bin?
It’s a great way to dispose of organic matter while minimizing methane emissions! Landfills aren’t set up for aerobic decomposition, so food scraps in landfills often give off a ton of methane emissions when decomposing, which is a pretty potent greenhouse gas! Also, worm castings are an excellent fertilizer/mulch/soil amendment.
A worm bin is super low-maintenance once you figure out what you are doing. It doesn’t smell bad and can be kept indoors—I keep mine by my desk in the winter! And I think it’s pretty fun. Also, your trash won’t smell as bad when it isn’t full of rotting food!
Making the Worm Bin
Really what you need here are two containers. One of them you put a bunch of holes in, and that sits inside the other container. The holes are important because they allow for drainage of water (which is then caught by the external container) and diffusion of oxygen. I used some kitty litter buckets for this, and they work great! The lid is really useful.
Tumblr media
Pro-tip: you don’t need a drill to make the holes. If you have a knife or razor blade, you can press it into the plastic and rotate it, which makes nice, round holes.
The bin with holes in it sits inside the other bin, but there should be space for water drainage/collection and air permeation.
Worms
The worms you want in general are “red wrigglers” or Eisenia fetida. These are sometimes sold as bait worms, but in my experience the “red worms” are actually European Nightcrawlers (labeled “ENC”). Those can also work, but they prefer different conditions from red wigglers (I believe they live deeper in the soil) so they might not be as successful. You also need a lot of worms to start out with, like a pound of worms. I had the best success going to a local vermiculture business and getting a pound of mixed worms (red wigglers, European night crawlers, and Indian blues). I think the mix is useful since having a couple different species makes the bin more resilient.
Note: buying local is really beneficial here. When worms are sold online and shipped, the sellers “dehydrate” them a bit to help lower weight and prevent overheating. The worms will be perfectly healthy after you give them moist bedding again, but you’re going to miss out on bacteria and other beneficial critters that could come with the worms if they are fresh.
Setting up the Bin
An important thing I have learned from experience: you can’t just put food and worms in a bin and expect things to work. You also need bedding. Bedding is filler material, like newspaper or coconut coir. I mostly use newspaper I buy from a local vermiculture business. I tried ripping my own paper and once it got wet it turned into a solid layer, whereas the pre-ripped newspaper I buy has a fluffy consistency.
Tumblr media
I’ve also tried using peat moss as bedding, but that didn’t work so well—I got a huge spike in the more population (maybe from acidic conditions?). Peat moss also isn’t great for the environment in general.
The bedding is important because worms shouldn’t eat too much food or too much of their own poop (castings) as both are bad for them. Bedding should be topped off when possible. When you add food to the bin, use a shovel to bury it in the bedding. This helps things rot properly, prevents mold and bad smells, and keeps away critters like fruit flies.
Other Critters
Your worm bin can and should have other critters in it! Some in my bin include mites and springtails, who both help the worms break down organic matter. However, there should be a balance between other critters and the worms. If something appears to be taking over, you might have a problem. I’ve also had fruit flies in my bin—this didn’t end up being a huge problem as long as I only opened the lid of the bin outdoors.
Worm Bin Maintenance
Once you get going, the worm bin doesn’t require much maintenance. I keep a freezer bag in my freezer and fill it up with food scraps, and once it seems the worms are mostly finished with the last feeding, I’ll thaw the bag and feed them again. (Freezing is helpful because it’s a convenient way to preserve the scraps, but it also helps to kickstart breaking down, since freezing damages things.) Be careful not to over-feed the worms, as this can lead to a sour bin and/or string-of-pearls (which is a pretty disturbing worm ailment).
Also be careful of what you feed the worms. You can look up lists of dos and donts online, but in general, stick to plant matter, and don’t feed them aromatic herbs or citrus. Also make sure to feed the worms plenty of crushed eggshells, as this provides grit and halos to regulate the pH of the worm bin.
The worms should be kept in a location with temperatures that are comfortable to humans. They don’t do well if conditions are too cold or too warm.
Make sure to dump out any water that accumulates and add bedding when it’s needed. I use this to water plants, and I haven’t had any negative effects, but some people will say you shouldn’t do that.
Once the bin starts to get full, you can remove worm castings. There are fancy ways to do this, but I just dig through the bin and scoop out any areas that are nearly all worm castings and then remove any worms/eggs that are in the castings by hand. The castings can be mixed in with potting soil or used on top like a mulch. (Although be careful: Ive heard worms are an invasive species in some areas so check before you potentially introduce them to the ground.)
Conclusions
So that’s it! If you want more information, I encourage you to do your own research. Although try to seek out multiple sources—not all the information out on the internet (or even in books) has been properly vetted. I can also try my best to answer questions based on my own experience, but I’m still relatively new at this.

hi! so my bird’s 8th birthday is this week & i want to make her a bird safe or something. I’ve been doing some googling but a lot of the recipes require me buy a lot of ingredients I don’t have so I’m just wondering if you or any of your followers have any ideas that are simple & bird safe. bird pic attached for bird tax
Tumblr media
I don't have a designated birthday recipe, I usually buy some nutriberries or a special honey seed stick!
An easy option might be making diy fruit leathers, recipes usually only call for some puréed fruit (fresh or frozen) and some honey, then you just bake till they’ve dried out at a low temperature. DIYing dehydrated fruits on their own may be fun!
Bird bread is always an option but does require more ingredients, there’s a ton of recipes for those online though
followers have any suggestions?

Thess vs Projects & Acquisitions
Well, today’s already been a pretty good day. I mean, I haven’t been awake for long, but ... y’know, that’s part of why it’s been a good day.
Since I had the day off, I had earlier-than-usual mini watch party of The Legend of Vox Machina. (I have thoughts. I’ll ramble about all that later.) Slept in. Woke up and did the online ordering portion of my big grocery shop. Which was good because some of the things I wanted and needed were on special offer - like, the good gluten-free bread, just for example. Also picked up a few ingredients for something I really wanted to try - see, I’m a little fed up at how expensive hot chocolate mix is, and the supermarket own-brand stuff is kind of crap, and I tripped over a video awhile ago about how to make your own. So I’m going to do that. Which meant I needed a couple of storage containers of the right size to store the finished product ... though I could just use the old jars, which I’ve saved. Hmm. Thoughts for later, but honestly, with everything I get up to, I could use storage jars. Also I needed to hit Amazon anyway because I needed a safer candy thermometer than the one I have if I’m going to be making hard candy. Even the steam from heating sugar to hard crack point can be seriously painful, and my candy thermometer requires leaning too close to the pot for my liking.
Anyway, after that, I fulfilled a promise to myself - a promise that this paycheque, on sale or not, I was going to get my Gilmore’s Glorious Bathrobe. It’s time to retire my old one, which looks like I skinned a polka-dotted Muppet to get it. It’s served me well, my old Muppet, but one of the pockets is ripped halfway off and it’s all battered. Best part is, it was still on sale - to the point where even when I sprang for DPD next-day delivery service, it was still cheaper than the base price would have been if I’d bought it while not on sale! Which means I should have it tomorrow! So I am of a squee. That’s even not taking into account that apparently my bestie is throwing the Trinket slippers at me as an early birthday gift.
Look, right now, with the way things are? Being able to stay warm without turning on the heating is a serious bonus. And ... well, the shark socks didn’t work out - they were cheap crap and the soles kept shifting in weird ways so they’re not really wearable - and my lovely super-thick fleece socks are great for warming up my feet when I’m curling up in bed for the night but they’re thick enough that I can’t throw a pair of shoes over them to step out onto the balcony. Thus, two pairs of moderately warm socks and slippers. I’ve been making do with thinner socks so I had my eye on more slippers anyway. I was just getting jazzed about the Trinket slippers hitting the UK shop and thinking I could buy slippers and robe at the same time, when all of a sudden, “I’m letting you know that I’m getting you the Trinket slippers, so you don’t go ahead and buy them first - happy early birthday”. My bestie knows me too well. ^_^
Right. It’s been a productive day but I’ve still got shit to do. Need to go out and pick up painkillers and at least some groceries (delivery’s tomorrow but food is still needed today). So not much shit to do, but some. Tomorrow’s going to be the day for Doing Things, though - fruit to run through the dehydrator, making my hot chocolate mix, and running D&D. And Sunday’s the big group session. Lots to prep for, but hey.

6 Habits to Prevent Premature Skin Ageing
You can start working to prevent premature skin aging at any time. You don't have to wait until wrinkles start to appear to make an effort.
Tumblr media
Here are six habits to prevent premature skin aging. Your skin will age. It's an unavoidable reality. There are many ways to deal with it, but at some point, you have to accept it. However, the problem is when the aging process starts at a young age. You're young and your skin is getting older.
Sure, you can cover it up to some extent with makeup, but it's best to minimise it if you can. You can minimise the appearance of aging skin by improving your habits that affect your skin's health, including using anti-aging cosmetics.
And the earlier you start doing this, the more effective it will be in preventing the appearance of spots, wrinkles, and imperfections.
6 Habits to Prevent Premature Skin Ageing
Apply sunscreen
Tumblr media
Direct sun exposure is one of the causes of premature skin aging and the development of serious diseases such as skin cancer.
Wearing sunscreen every day can prevent sunburn and over-drying of the skin.
It's important to wear sunscreen not only on sunny days, but also on cloudy days.
On sunny days, you should wear a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
2. Eat antioxidants
Eating foods rich in antioxidants can minimise the aging of the skin due to free radicals.
Antioxidants promote the skin"s regeneration process, softening and protecting it.
Fruits and raw vegetables contain high amounts of antioxidants. Other plants and grains also contain antioxidants.
Tumblr media
3. Drink plenty of water
Drinking enough water every day is not only important for the smooth functioning of your internal organs, but it also helps to keep your skin hydrated and oxygenated. People who don't drink enough water are more likely to become dehydrated, and dehydration can lead to changes in the skin.
Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day will give your cells the hydration they need and allow them to regenerate properly.
Water not only helps detoxify the blood, but also prevents toxins from causing blemishes.
4. Detoxify your body
Drinking water is essential for the body"s detoxification process. Not only that, but water also plays an important role in the proper functioning of the excretory system. The accumulation of toxins can lead to cell deterioration, skin aging, acne, and other skin conditions.
You should try to detoxify your body on a regular basis. You can do this by eating fruits and vegetables or drinking detoxifying drinks.
During a detox, you should avoid eating saturated fats, processed foods, and sweets.
5. Do not smoke
Tumblr media
In addition to nicotine, cigarettes contain dozens of toxic compounds that damage cells and accelerate the skin's aging process.
Heavy smoking breaks down collagen and reduces the body"s ability to absorb nutrients.
Smokers are at a higher risk of developing skin diseases, as well as minor skin problems such as acne.
6. Exfoliate We recommend exfoliating at least once a week. It"s an important habit to prevent premature aging of the skin. Exfoliation removes dead cells and impurities that accumulate on the surface of the skin. This prevents them from clogging your pores.
Exfoliation cleans your pores and prevents blackheads and pimples from forming.
Exfoliants also contain vitamins and minerals that are absorbed by the skin and regenerate tissues.
It improves blood circulation by increasing oxygenation, which helps keep tissues healthy.
**Note to self: If your skin is oily, you can exfoliate up to three times a week. If your skin is not oily, you should only exfoliate once a week.
What are you doing to prevent wrinkles from appearing on your skin at a young age? If you're not doing much, start today. Getting beautiful, glowing skin takes work, and it's not as hard as you think!
If you want to buy derma beauty products at your fingertips, there's the Han's kin online shop :)

Can you tell me abt cirkul bottle? I saw yr tags and my mom HATES drinking water and she is so dehydrated all the time she likes flavored water but can never find a good brand to stick with
Hell yes! So the Cirkul bottle is sold at Walmart or online. You can find it by just Googling 'Cirkul water bottle.' My problem with flavored water is that the little packets of powdered stuff always is super grainy and I hate the texture. With Cirkul, there's no grainy texture. The flavor cartridge is stored in the top of the bottle, so when you run out of flavor you just toss it.
You can also adjust how strong or light you want the flavoring to be on the cartridge as well. And apparently (I say apparently because I don't own it, but I know someone who does) they also sell a water filter that attaches onto the bottle too, that can be used in tandem with the flavorings.
I always recommend buying the flavorings and bottle online, usually they have some sort of deal going on.
And you can subscribe to receive your favorite water flavorings every month or whenever you want.
They also have options for different bottle sizes, colors, plastic or stainless steel, etc. so it's pretty customizable. Dishwasher safe too! I really do recommend it to people who have a hard time drinking straight water.
Like I said in my tags, my favorite flavor is Fruit punch, and really any of the 'punch' flavors by extension. I will admit, some of the flavors are a miss. I personally didn't like the 'Squeeze Lemonade' line of flavors, they were really weird imo. But they have so many flavors it's insane!
And i really like the variety of flavor properties as well. Some flavors have caffeine, are sugar-free, sweetened with stevia, have vitamins and minerals, electrolytes, etc.
I hope all of this information has helped! If you need more, feel free to send another ask, I could talk about it for forever lol. And if you want to, let me know if your mom ends up getting it and how/if she likes it!
(also, hope you don't mind that I tagged you, I didn't want the answered ask to get lost. and I'm on mobile, so usually my phone screws up posting stuff lol)

Additionally, consider the fragrance, opting for either a soothing natural scent or fragrance-free if you have sensitive skin.

We suggest you do it after showering and before bedtime. The moisture will keep your skin looking & feeling fresh when you leave for work & when you wake up. The best body butter applied at the best times can do wonders for your skin.
Proper Application Technique
Start with a small amount. Warm it between your hands to soften, then apply with gentle, circular motions. Pay special attention to extra dry areas like elbows, knees, and heels, where skin tends to be thicker and drier.
Seasonal Use
In colder months, increase your use of cocoa butter lotion or any other body butter to combat the drying effects of cold weather. Opt for this for winter days to prevent your skin from feeling too greasy.

How to Save Money and Enjoy Fresh Mangoes Year-Round by Buying in Bulk
Introduction: Mangoes are not just a seasonal delight; they're a tropical treasure that can bring a burst of flavor and nutrition to your meals year-round. While enjoying this delicious fruit can sometimes feel like a luxury, buying mangoes in bulk can make it an affordable staple in your diet. In this article, we'll explore how purchasing mangoes in bulk can save you money and allow you to relish their freshness any time of the year.
Understanding the Benefits of Buying Mangoes in Bulk: Buying mangoes in bulk offers several advantages. Firstly, it typically comes at a lower cost per unit compared to buying individual fruits. This can lead to significant savings, especially if you consume mangoes frequently. Additionally, purchasing in bulk allows you to stock up when mangoes are in season and prices are lower, preserving their freshness for later use.
Finding the Best Deals: To make the most of bulk mango purchases, it's essential to find the best deals available. Local farmer's markets, wholesale stores, and online retailers often offer competitive prices for bulk fruit orders. Keep an eye out for seasonal sales and promotions, which can further reduce costs. By comparing prices and exploring different purchasing options, you can score the best deal on your mango haul.
Proper Storage Techniques: To enjoy fresh mangoes year-round, proper storage is key. Upon purchasing mangoes in bulk, it's essential to inspect each fruit for ripeness and any signs of spoilage. Store unripe mangoes at room temperature to allow them to ripen naturally. Once ripe, transfer them to the refrigerator to extend their shelf life. Alternatively, you can freeze ripe mango slices for later use in smoothies, desserts, or savory dishes.
Creative Ways to Use Bulk Mangoes: With a surplus of mangoes on hand, get creative in the kitchen! Mangoes are incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of sweet and savory recipes. Blend them into refreshing smoothies, toss them in salads for a tropical twist, or use them to create homemade mango salsa or chutney. You can also incorporate mango puree into baked goods like muffins, cakes, and bread for added sweetness and moisture.
Preserving Mangoes for Long-Term Enjoyment: If you find yourself with an abundance of ripe mangoes, consider preserving them for long-term enjoyment. Canning or bottling mango slices in syrup or juice is a great way to extend their shelf life while maintaining their flavor and texture. Alternatively, dehydrate mango slices to create tasty mango chips that can be enjoyed as a healthy snack or added to trail mixes.
Conclusion: Buying mangoes in bulk is a cost-effective way to enjoy this delectable fruit year-round. By taking advantage of bulk purchasing opportunities, finding the best deals, and employing proper storage techniques, you can savor the freshness of mangoes whenever the craving strikes. Get creative in the kitchen with your surplus mangoes, and explore a world of delicious recipes that celebrate this tropical fruit in all its glory. With these tips, you'll be well on your way to enjoying the sweet taste of mangoes while saving money in the process.
