If you don’t mind me asking, how does the whole not knowing your character’s clan/abilities thing actually work? It seems like such a fun idea and I’d love to try to do something similar, but I’m not quite sure how to go about it
we all gave our ST a list of 4-6 clans/lacks thereof that we'd be interested in potentially playing before session 0, and our characters were embraced knowing virtually nothing and being left alone by their sires to be shields while they escaped the city!
we've been figuring out our disciplines by trying really hard to do the things we were already doing anyway, especially after finding out that we're vampires and that we can do some things.
chase discovered his auspex by trying really hard to sense something, and his presence by trying to be charming. elrina discovered her oblivion and potence in somewhat similar ways. rudy discovered his celerity by trying to catch a squirrel. elrina discovered her clan bane by trying to use her smartphone, and looking at her own reflection, and trying various other things with tech.
I've been mentally keeping notes (and later typing down notes) on what rudy's already tried, and after he was told by the mage this session what sorts of things he could maybe do (and the fact that he's "flavourless" by process of elimination) he's been trying to figure out what else he has.
the mage also told him his sire didn't have a clan either, which. 👀
the most likely things he could have other than celerity atm are fortitude, dominate, and blood sorcery. blood sorcery would be interesting considering both he and his sire are caitiff. I'm personally hoping he has fortitude because the combination of effective at dodging hits AND effective at taking hits fascinates me. given what he's tried already, he definitely(?) doesn't have obfuscate, protean, potence, oblivion, auspex, or presence, and I highly doubt he has animalism. also, uh, obviously not thinblood alchemy. LOL
we as players know more about the clans and disciplines than the characters do, so we'd been trying to guess based on what they'd tried and what else we knew until pretty much today. I'm still guessing in terms of disciplines as I said before LOL

spiderman kiss for sol/julian 😈
i was so torn on when to set this... it really suits dumb pre-2010 fledglings but i went with post-night road because i do think julian would be giddy af finally showing off some of his work
Cheat Code
February 2021
Denver’s 2100X HQ hums with the sterile menace of a tech cult’s wet dream.
Julian’s penthouse workspace—a floor-to-ceiling blackout window nightmare overlooking the Rockies—is cluttered with holographic schematics, half-disassembled drones, laptops with enough custom hardware to look like biblical angels once unfolded, and a fucking robot arm. Sol hates it. Hates the cold, hates the silence, hates how Julian’s laugh sounds more and more like a boardroom tactic since they crossed the border into Colorado. But she stays. Tonight, he’s dragged her to the sublevel server farms, claiming he needs her “mechanical genius” to debug a cooling system. Bullshit. She knows he just wants her close; needs her to see his grand design, what he’s built here from the roots up, to believe in it — and him — again. The panels throb with eerie blue light; fans whine like dying animals. Julian crouches by a terminal, Final Fantasy hoodie sleeves rolled up, long pale fingers flying over a wireless keyboard. “See? The thermal paste here’s degraded. Causes latency in the—” “Julian.” He glances up, baby-faced, brows raised. Sol leans against a rack, arms crossed. “You brought me here to flirt with motherboards?” A tiny smile. “Jealous?” She turns to leave, but his hand snags the back hem of her tee. “Wait.” Faster than she can flip him the bird, Julian vaults onto the server rack, scaling it like a ladder in a smear of Celerity until he’s hanging upside down from the shiny steel overhead beams, legs hooked tight. “Remember this?” Sol stares for a few seconds. “You’re fifty-three, Sim.” “Twenty-six forever, baby,” he says. His grin is sharp — always is — but his eyes — fuck, his eyes — are soft, glimmering with catchlights. “C’mon. Sol. For old times’ sake.” “You,” she says, making a deliberately slow show of stepping closer, “are such a child.” The kiss starts electric and quickly becomes desperate. Julian’s lips crush into hers, hands gripping under her jaw, holding her in place like he thinks she’s still intent on walking. Sol’s fingers tangle in his hair as it hangs loose; his earring dangles, cool silver cross brushing against her skin, inverted. The servers buzz, and for an unnerving moment the vitae in her veins feels like it’s humming in sync. When Sol pulls back, his thumb traces her scar. “Missed you,” he whispers. “Don’t.” But he kisses her again, deeper, his tongue stroking hers, and she lets him pull her in until he mumbles “Solona” against her lips. “Julian—” He does it again. She shoves him away. “Stop. Stop using that name.” He immediately drops to the floor like a cat, running a hand through his stupid floppy hair. “I’m not—fuck. I’m not trying to—” “You are.” Sol’s voice cracks. “Every time I let you in, you fucking twist it. Make me think we’re still us.”

A conclusion to the adventures of Peterbilt, a VtM Night Road story.
Ok so. I got through it, went through it, going through it honestly. I'll go ahead and say, I let eveyone down, mostly myself. I didn't romance Dove, or anyone actually. Dove tolerates Peterbilt more than anything but that's ok. I completed the game with 0 masquerade violations though so that's cool! I also hotwired Dove's car, she was upset about that.
The biodome thing was great, I'm always a big fan of Paulie Shore references. The fight with [insert name when remembering it] had me on the edge of my seat, especially after my Setite was brutally murdered in my first run. It was amazing and I really am super curious about the experiments done on them but I was playing to character, and Peterbilt puts the job first. Also I killed and drained all the mortals that were there. Masquerade and all that.
D'Espine was great. I love me some Volgirre (I'll save my rant about v5 and bloodlines for another time) I got to drink her blood which I thought would only give me one power but I got access to all of her disciplines, that was dope. I had enough xp to max Celerity and put some into Protean.
The fight with Reremouse was intense, I loved the interactions between Lettow and Julian. It starts to really show how young and still kind of naive Julian is when you see them together. Alone Julian seems super well put together and smart and he is but very much in a modern tech bro way. He came up with a solution to a problem, and because it's knew and innovative, it's the only option in his mind. Lettow being chill and calm, obviously just putting up with Julian to get the job done, was great. They can both easily lure the player to either side both making great points and having faults. It's a classic Old way vs New way story.
On to the Viper. Julian hiding right under Lettow's nose was hilarious to me honestly. Grade A Banu Haqim shit. I love the magic being weaved in the building to create hidden spots, big fan of the "there's more space on the inside" thing. Peterbilt got infect by 2100 but I helped Alexander. Old man might have halitosis but he kept me fed.
Then came the meeting with Lettow. Peterbilt might be more comfortable under the hood than behind the wheele but she's got more skill than Grandma Driving to the Goldlen Corral after curch. No one could keep a tail on my girl. So we make it to the meeting. I love Julian being so uncomfortable here. His plan is kind of unraveling and he isn't sure what to do. Lettow staying cool and calm, he knows the real enemy for tonight is the SI. Peterbilt doesn't want to be some experimental super leader so she makes Julian extract 2100. Really cool magitech shit I love it. Lettow's remark about knowing how to handle SI was so great. The showdown at the Viper was also amazing. Maxed Celerity made it almost too easy, also I had so much xp i had almost all my stats and skills maxed. The showdown with Donati was so good. Mf with a long bow showing up to help take her down. I saved Lettow.
Conclusion:
Everyone got to live. Honestly I am not a fan of the beckoning "plot" so Lettow having a send off as he flies away was lame imo but they built up to it so it's not like it wasn't written well. Dove kind of becoming prince was great, Peterbilt being the grand courier under her is the second best being under her I could have hoped for. A nice happy ending for the Camarilla.
All in all, loved it. Might do another run for the fun of it, hardcore side with Julian but not be a masquerade wrecking ball or something.

back at it in realm of the elderlings (liveship traders book 2)
i like how hobb does worldbuilding between the first two trilogies. the first one (farseer, or assassin's noun) is told in first person from the perspective of one guy who is 1) a child to young adult 2) myopically focused on his duty, such that by the end of the series i still had no clear idea what the tech level was (implied to be medieval/early modern, but maybe that was all that was available to the narrator) or how the society functioned in terms of religion or social mores, or whether the setting even knew it was in a fantasy novel, because the existence of neither gods nor dragons nor gay people was relevant to the narrator unless he physically encountered them. most people in the nobility were named for virtues: chivalry, verity, celerity (my personal favorite).
the second series (liveship traders) is a patchwork of third-person perspective characters several hundred miles & at least one country away. the vibe is like late 1700s coastal colonies with socioeconomic stratification. we are issuing invitations to balls. we are debating ethics in the face of imperialism. we are telling jokes about the first trilogy's setting having neither personified deities nor glazed windows, and one of the major characters is named kyle

I'm going to rank my favourite 5E clans and explain why under this cut
1. Tzimisce
Simply excellent all around. Interesting powers, interesting clan history, fun social-political dynamics to explore and a debilitating enough clan bane to come up with ways it might affect a person psychologically over time. A lot of my tzimisce characters explore the idea of "home" and belonging as well as the horrifying nature of having your brain rot from the inside not just from the beast but from even more innocuous toxic thought patterns like claiming ownership of friends. It must be so challenging to be a tzimisce and remain human, which is wonderful for storytelling and character studies. My only regret with this clan as a DM is that I'm committed to them seeming rare in my setting so there aren't many characters I can write.
2. Ventrue
They are, imo, the funniest clan. All I need to do is show you LaCroix and you understand. Though I can understand also why people think they are annoying for the reasons I find them hilarious. Let me pitch you this: my beloved Ventrue OC, Thomas, is a loser tech bro boyfailure who is entitled to everything and is regularly punished. He was sired illegally, swept under the rug and forced to associate with anarchs cuz no one else will take him. I never understood the beauty of misfortune comedy before I was introduced to Ventrue. It's all about the narrative framing.
3. Lasombra
Similar to Ventrue (obviously) but they have sexy evil Eldritch darkness powers. What's not to love. I recently read through the clanbook in its entirety with my partner and the way they are all so comically villain-like in how they conduct clan business it rivals the Tremere clan. I love their drama and their aesthetic. Their only ding is that you have to ignore a lot of awkwardly handled racism (to show how evil they are!) from the canon leader characters. I'll have to read Chicago by night soon and hope it handles it fine.
4. Nosferatu
You can't go wrong with a bunch of fucked up looking monster dudes. Nosferatu get a ton of points for how creative you can be with their character design, similar to tzimisce. I also really love how they are probably among the least-toxic clans to be a part of, so it's just as easy to write wholesome character dynamics as it is to write messed up ones. As a DM, they are also great utility characters that can write you out of a lot of corners. Need information? They literally just collect it for fun and profit. It's free world building and plot hook real estate.
5. Malkavian
Now listen... I know Malkavians have the obvious drawback of being frequently portrayed as mean-spirited caricatures of mentally ill people. However... If you are mentally ill yourself, writing one that is a respectful exploration of your struggles is really cathartic. Beyond that, though, my favorite part of the Malkavian experience is the cosmic horror element. I love how their antideluvian is some unknowable incorporeal being that connects all of them. I love unknowable mind breaking horror! And I love their utility as well. If your player is a Malkavian attuned to the cobweb, you can just speak to them as the Storyteller for free basically. It's great fun.
6. Tremere
Wizards.
...
Clan lore is good too. The rigid structure of the clan is good for making a world with a Chantry nearby feel larger and more powerful. Also I guess it's pretty fun that they can do real magic.
7. Toreador
They're kinda mid to me. I don't dislike them but a lot of what makes them unique in WOD is just normal typical vampire fluff in other media. They're seductive, romantic, artistic, yeah whatever. These things gotta be subverted or executed flawlessly for me to be invested so Toreador neither wins nor loses. It doesn't help that their 2/3 of their 5E disciplines are ones I find kinda boring in practice (Celerity, Auspex).
8. Hecata
Carried almost entirely by how funny I find the Giovanni clan, stands low-mid tier Hecata clan. It's sad how much this clan/clans got butchered in 5E. It suffers most clearly from WOD's desire to not "retcon" things in Vampire. Clan lore is non-existent because they tried to just mash a bunch of clans together and pretend like it makes sense and created what sounds like the most boring traits of all of them to be the default. Points for potential, and the ability to carry on playing as if you are simply one of the original clans that made up this one.
9. Gangrel
Even though by all means I should be into Gangrel, they still end up being kinda mid for me. They fulfill a similar niche that either Tzimisce, Nosferatu or actual werewolves could fill just as easily. There's nothing wrong with them, the things I see in them are just done better by other clans in my opinion. They become forgettable to me and I'm gonna have to will myself to make some more cuz it would make sense for my home game!
10. The Ministry
I think they could be very interesting. I think it's silly and goofy that one of their clan traits is "wants to make you evil", that's good for comedy. And the vibe they have is good. I love a good cult, I love snakes... But I don't know if I find the whole Followers of Set thing to be compelling unless I missed some lore about how Set has adapted in the modern world. Maybe it could be cool if Set was the Wyrm or whatever. The Ministry is good for plot devices but I don't know how interesting they are as characters otherwise.
11. Brujah
I admit I'm biased on this one. I think it's kinda sad that in "modern" day, the time period most vtm games are run, Brujah are just stock angry countercultural guys. They're set up to be protagonists of a story against corrupt leaders and...nothing else. The clan doesn't give you much to work with. Strong fast and sexy guys with their three disciplines and basically zero clan structure (I miss VTM Redemption philosopher Brujah) does aesthetic). Every good Brujah character is good because of their writing and gets no shortcuts from being Brujah.
12. Ravnos
The last two clans get like. Negative points for the racism baggage they were born with all the way back in the earlier editions. I think Ravnos has a bit more interesting clan lore (what with their antediluvian wiping them out in recent-ish canon memory) but it takes a lot of conscious effort to make a character that isn't an uncomfortable appropriation of nomadic culture stereotypes.
13. Banu Haqim
It's difficult to ignore how their clan bane used to be THAT... And the whole fact that their clan lore, to this day in 5E continues to struggle to untangle itself from islamic extremist stereotyping. Saying "oh the extremists are just the evil faction of this clan now!" doesn't really cut the level of how bad and uncomfortable and disrespectful this clan was. I am not equipped to write a character of this clan that does not exist entirely separate from its lore. You get no favors from Banu Haqim.
My thoughts on caitiff and thin bloods are separate, and I can't really put them on a numbered list due to how they feel like separate entities entirely in vampire. Might make a separate post?
Thanks for reading! Remember all the above content is just my opinion and I am a DM who makes ocs, I haven't actually been a player in this game as of me writing this. I'm sure it shows lol

Class Feature Friday: Companion Innovation (Pathfinder Second Edition Inventor Innovation)
Tumblr media
(art by Malignanttoast on DeviantArt)
And we’re back with the second currently available innovation from the inventor class, the companion!
Everyone loves a little robot buddy, and with this archetype you can have one for your inventor character. These mechanical allies are so strongly associated with the class that the iconic inventor character canonically has one in the form of Whirp, the goblin-like clockwork robot.
As an innovation, these mechanical buddies are implied to be part of the inventor’s experiments into creating a truly unique design. They might be trying to perfect the artificial intelligence that governs their actions, or perhaps creating some wondrous new integrated tech which could revolutionize construct crafting as a whole. Alternatively, perhaps instead the inventor created their companion purely as an assistant for their other experiments and ventures.
Much like the innovations of other inventors, however, they constantly tinker with them to improve said companions in various ways.
As we’ll soon see, these companions turn a solitary inventor into one part of an impeccable duo both on and off the battlefield.
The construct companion follows many of the same rules as other companions, such as being  a minion with only two actions per round, but they also benefit from the fact that as independent beings, they can use their own actions to activate various abilities associated with innovations, including overdrive, explosion, and so on, as well as gain the benefits of offensive boost to their own attacks. Additionally, they start at either small or medium size.
Of course, there are many modifications that can be taken to customize these mechanical allies. Among the basic ones are increased speed, aquatic mobility, give them larger size, greater manual dexterity, a projectile launcher, advanced sensors, or even greater intellect to use certain skills.
Greater breakthroughs let them improve their integrated weapons, become warded against magic, gaining climbing apparati, greater durability, becoming even smarter, or converting into a ranged turret mode to trade mobility for firepower.
The greatest modifications include flight, true intelligence, resistance against all harm, integrated runic capacitors to improve their attacks, and the ability to transform into a barricade.
Of course, there are inventor feats geared towards those that choose to have a companion. These include No! No! I Created You!, which helps their little friend recover from effects that would subvert their control; Collapse Construct to make them compact for storage and travel; Advanced Construct Companion to outright buff their stats; Clockwork Celerity to briefly speed them up; Construct Shell to provide protection for yourself when you ride it; Incredible Construct Companion to make them even stronger; Lock On to bolster their aim; Paragon Companion to perfect them; and Engine of Destruction to make them absolutely devastating.
Other feats they might benefit from include Built-in Tools, Explosive Leap, Haphazard Repair, Variable Core, Searing Restoration, Megaton Strike and it’s upgrades, Megavolt and it’s upgrades, Manifold Modifications, Deep Freeze, Unstable Redundancies, and Full Automation.
There is a lot of customization to be had with this innovation. Your companion might be a small little scout and helper, a big brawny combatant, somewhere in between, or maybe you load them with all sorts of special offensive abilities to make them almost like a remote spell-thrower. Or maybe you make them bigger than yourself and use them for mounted combat (potentially in water or air too!). The sky is the limit.
I’m not exactly the biggest fan of how 2E handles companion creatures, but I will say that the loosey-goosey “here’s a bunch of examples, if you don’t find an exact match, homebrew your own or reskin it” approach does actually work well, because as long as you can imagine it, your construct companion could look like anything. It could be a classic clockwork construct, a technomagical creation blurring the lines with golems or the aeon stone constructs sometimes seen, or it might even be a refurbished robot from Numeria or the like. One character’s companion might be a mass of gears and steam pipes, while another might be a brain in a jar with a body sporting mechanical tentacles and treads, while another still might be an elegantly crafted facsimile of an animal or magical beast, looking like something that would be presented to royalty and ensure your family’s prestige for hundreds of years. If you can imagine it, your companion might just look like that.
Bilsprig is furious, the little kobold’s contemporaries simply do not GET his newest creation. This contraption is not simply an automaton, it is an ambulatory trap apparatus that brings the traps to your enemies. Yes, the weaponry is aimed and triggered by the automaton itself and not by the target, but by the seven dragon gods, they are still traps!
Chasing rumors of the legendary Mosquito Witch, an inventor and cryptid hunter by the name of Maximilian Valx heads into the marshes with his pet automaton, which he has specifically engineered to capture the cryptid creature. However, he will soon discover how thoroughly in over his head he is.
Called the Stitching Inventor by some, Lord Kalluvus has never had any patience for magic, let alone necromancy, but he has always thought that rotting corpses were such a waste, and so he has long tinkered with creating lightning-charged horrors that combine gears and strange capacitors with twitching preserved flesh.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Titan Magicite Fight
The fights in the 6-star Magicite Dungeons in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game are quest level 550.
Tumblr media
Titan is the 6-star earth Magicite that’s weak to the wind element. Decided to try taking on the physical-weak version of Titan.
My team was:
Angeal Hewley from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Have Angeal’s Awakened Arcane Soul Break 2 (AASB2), Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB), and Limit Beak Overstrike (LBO).
Usually, if I have at least 2 BDL relics for a char, that’s my cue to make their Hero Ability.
Since I have Angeal’s AASB2 and Sync, I should make his Hero Ability. I want to, really I do. And if the resources to make these abilities weren’t so scarce, I would have gladly done so.
The problem is the scarcity of these resources and the fact that Angeal’s Hero Ability is pretty bad.
His damage is also kinda lacking even with a fully complete Record Board. He does have some supportive capabilities too, but still.
It feels like he’s trying to be both a DPS and a support but he does neither well. I do hope he gets new and better tech soon.
Nevertheless, I’m glad that I have some of Angeal’s relics, especially his AASB2 because the animation for that features Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (#ad).
Tumblr media
Currently, Genesis is my absolute, most fave Final Fantasy char. He’s the reason why I’m playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper.
Anyway, Angeal deals physical wind and holy elemental damage so he’s part of both my physical wind team and my physical holy team.
For this fight against Titan, Angeal served as my secondary DPS. Still haven’t made his Hero Ability though.
Have Angeal equipped with the 6-star wind and ice Spellblade ability called Snowspell Strike. His second skill slot has the 5-star Spellblade ability called Raging Quadstrike which is only at rank 3.
Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII
Have Zack’s wind Chain Soul Break, AASB2, Sync and a few of his other relics. Completed his Record Board and created his Hero Ability, Rush Assault.
Tumblr media
Zack served as my main and primary DPS although he has supportive capabilities too with some of his tech.
For instance, he can imperil wind and increase the critical hit damage of the party.
Aside from Zack’s Hero Ability, he’s also equipped with the 6-star Celerity ability called Ripping Storm. It’s only at rank 3 though because I ran out of the resources needed to max it.
Vaan from Final Fantasy XII
Have Vaan’s wind Chain Soul Break, which is the main reason why he’s part of this team.
Zack’s my main DPS so I didn’t want him to also have to juggle casting his Chain, especially since that would require a whole lot of gauges.
I have one of Vaan’s Awakenings and 2 of his Ultra Soul Breaks. Would love to get his Sync and his other AASB to improve my physical wind team.
Vaan is equipped with Lifesiphon and a rank 3, 6-star Thief ability called Storm Assault.
Elarra from Final Fantasy Record Keeper
Ultra Soul Break 1 (USB1), Magika Album
USB2, Magika Orare
Glint+ Soul Break (G+), Magika Amuletum
Glint Soul Break (G), Magika Pius
Elarra served as my healer. She can provide Regenga and hi fastcast. She can even help buff the party.
Elarra’s equipped with the Warrior’s Hymn and Passionate Salsa abilities.
Tyro from Final Fantasy Record Keeper
AASB, Fantasy Grimoire Vol. I
Arcane Overstrike Soul Break 3 (AOSB3), Triple Phase
USB4, Arbiter’s Tome
USB3, Divine Veil Grimoire
USB1, Warder’s Apocrypha
Glint Soul Break (G), Purifying Grimoire
Burst Soul Break (BSB), Keeper’s Tome
Unique Soul Break 2, Sentinel’s Grimoire
Legend Materia Relic 1 (LMR1), Archival Secrets
Tyro was here to Wrath and Entrust and support the party with his AASB and USB4. The aforementioned Soul Breaks can increase the party’s critical hit chance.
These relics combo very well with Elarra’s Magika Orare which increases the party’s critical hit damage.
Tumblr media
Titan has a few annoying gimmicks. For instance, at certain thresholds, he will create this earth wall.
As long as it’s there, you can’t damage Titan. To get rid of this wall, you have to deal, IIRC, at least 50k+ damage at once.
I borrowed the Fabula Mage Roaming Warrior to help me with this. I also delayed summoning my Odin Magicite since his entry deals 99999 damage, which is more than enough to destroy the wall.
Titan also hits fairly hard. Having an Odin and 2 6-stars in my Magicite deck helped though.
Of course, Tyro Entrusted a lot to Elarra so she could keep everyone alive. AFAIK, I cast his Sentinel’s Grimoire too for more defense.
Super pleased to have been able to defeat Titan with this team. My clear time was 38.32 seconds. Even got to use both Zack and Angeal together, which is awesome.
Tumblr media
I do wish I could get more wind tech for Vaan though so I could try taking on physical and wind-weak White Odin or Argent Odin. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to defeat Odin just with what I currently have right now since that fight is quest level 600.
If I can get the wind Sync of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, I could add him to my party.
I already have most of Cloud’s wind relics, including his AASB and even his True Arcane Soul Break (TASB) or Arcane Dyad Soul Break (ADSB), and he’s a really good wind DPS so he’d definitely be able to help.
I can probably try to make him work now but I don’t want to use him without his Sync. I know that’s not even his most OP relic (it’s actually his Ultra Cross Slash Ultra Soul Break which I don’t have yet but can easily lens from the The Record Lab), but still.
Just don’t want to use Cloud when he feels incomplete like this. Don’t want to make his Hero Ability either until I have both his Sync and AASB.
Conclusion
So what about you? Have you tried any of the 6-star Magicite fights yet? What do you think about these quests? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.

Ranma sonic au
In this Au it takes place at mobius. Mobian and Human both live on it. There is no great war. There were wars yes but no great war from the archie comics. Sonic is bit of a celerity and such will get hounded. Makes visits to friends like Helen annoying being he wants to hang out with friends and they keep hounding him. Him and tails were clearing out one of eggman robot factories till he got knock back by one of the robots into a spring which he got cursed. Turning him into a pink hedgehog who can hit like a fright train. Who was annoyed at first till he realized he can use it to his advantage thus creating the alter ego amy rose, Of course the form did not share his metabolism so she gotten real fat. Not that sonic mind being it doesn't effect his other form and that he quite like it.
Surge in this universe was never experimented on by starline just one of the many mobians with powers. A mercenary for hire people mostly hire to clear up any rip raff of people using broken down eggman tech. During one of her jobs she found a a nice girl who was wolfing down 50 chili dogs under a second and fell madly in love. Unknowing it was actually Sonic the hedghog.

Oh boy, Sins of the Sires wrecked me.
Like, it does the whole “you’re a monster, this is a World of Darkness” vibe really, really well. The absolute dread and utter futility you feel is pervasive throughout the whole thing. It’s something that Natalia Theodoridou also did really good in Rent-a-Vice.
Although, IMO it was a bit rushed after the first two demo chapters. No spoilers, but you jump to different locations quickly, juxtaposed by how the narrative is very deep and slow and I found myself kinda confused about where I was half the time. Also, you don’t really spend that much time w/ any of the minor characters to get to know them better, which felt weird when they are brought up towards the end of the game.
Summaries of my first three runs below the cut:
Note: I used my MC Joni Ioannou for all of these. Since I didn’t know what clan I wanted them to be or what stats I wanted them to have, I just changed it up every time. Some things I kept the same tho, like their look being “soft goth” and their hobby being getting tattoos.
1) Thin-Blood
Disciplines - Animalism, Auspex, Dominate, Fortitude
Background - PhD student
Mortal - Father (Andreas)
Stats - Learned, Tech, Composure (which all felt utterly useless imo tbh)
Convictions - Respect your elders, killing is wrong
Predator type - Sandman
No romance, but I made friends w/ Elias
Nearly ran away w/ Gor, but Kapriel showed up and killed him (also when I saw Gor’s head in my inventory, I nearly screamed)
Ending - working for Prince Peisistratos b/c Sophia’s coup failed
2) Banu Haqim
Disciplines - Celerity, Obfuscate, Auspex, Dominate
Background - Petty thief
Mortal - Mother (Marianne)
Stats - Stealth, Composure, Streetwise, Awareness
Conviction - Never be powerless
Predator type - Bagger
No romance, but made friends w/ Brother Isidoros (saved his life w/o making him a ghoul then chose the “Maybe I like you” option, which was hilarious)
Killed Gor and brought his head to Peisistratos - asked Peisistratos for permission to commit sanctioned diablerie on Kapriel
Failed to stop Selene from violating the Masquerade
Ending - Post-apocalyptic
3) Tremere
Disciplines - Auspex, Dominate, Fortitude, Obfuscate
Background - Minor con artist
Mortal - Daughter (Christina)
Stats - Persuasion, Composure, Streetwise, Awareness
Convictions - Children should be protected at all cost, killing is wrong
Predator type - Consensualist
Romanced Markos - then I fucked it up b/c I chose to go w/ Gor to make him trust me and Kapriel showed up, apparently after having diablerized Markos (I actually screamed this time wtf Natalia)
Ending - fled w/ Elias, and when he died, chose to bury myself next to him

bringing back my “the traveler is a jjaro dreadnought” theory with some context
the traveler is to the manus celer dei what the manus celer dei is to the biggest, scariest human vessel at the time durandal commandeered it
that’s how far the jjaro’s tech level fell during their collapse

Well hello Bethany Manolo
Desperate Alts Lives continues.Trixany goes deeper down the mad Haris Pilton rabbit hole. And spies something truly dark...
Tumblr media
Haris finished her drink, all of it, before setting it down on anything that might be sensitive if she spilled it. Trixany noted that she was still that coherent in all this, though she was giggling like they were still partying.
Trixany narrowed eyes at Haris, “Sig doesn’t have this.”
“Sig finally got one. I wanted him to use my ladies, but he’s doing something underground and innovative in Mechagon. The sort of thing you don’t confide to your lady until after she’s under lock and key, and has signed several important papers, no?”
Trixany hated that Haris would be right about something so serious.
Trixany dared to take a step deeper into the room. She’d fastened the anklestraps of her heels together and slung them over her shoulder like a saddlebag. Trixany wasn’t going to throw away perfectly good designer shoes, no matter how angry she was.
“So. Haris? I’m guessing this is how you stay ontop of every move your rivals make? Or that I ever made?”
“Well. It wasn’t me. They hand me a report every morning and make recommendations. I always pull the trigger, though.”
“The trigger.” Trixany hardly kept the bile out of her voice.
“It’s sort of fun. It’s over here, actually.” Haris eagerly waved Trixany over again. “Everyone at the top of society, Horde or Alliance? This is how it’s done. This is how you stay ontop. Warchiefs, or whatever we’ve got now… they have war rooms. They have advisors. This is the high tech version.” She shrugged, “Then again, I don’t wanna see the low tech version.” Haris arched a blonde eyebrow, “Do you? Oh, and for similar reasons, nobody uses Goblins. They’re too quick to actually blow people up. We don’t want to land in jail, do we?”
Though of course Haris had tried to land Trixany in jail several thousand times! Apparently, from this very room.
Haris pushed a fancy pink marble column that had a big switch on top. The Gnomes in matching pink jumpsuits with white racing stripes noticed what was going on, and two ran out to finish pushing for her. They spoke to each other on headsets, coordinating their many tiny digital efforts. ‘Pink leader is go, I repeat…’
“Miss Pilton, ma’am? The target?”
“Hrm… well, there happens to be this really loud gossip girl trying to climb the lower rungs of the society ladder in Suramar. Trixany! This’ll be fun, I heard she ripped off one of your songs last week. Well, we almost said it was my song…” Haris then mouthed ‘sorry’ before smoothing her hand up the large lever, seductively. She did it like it was… something else lever-shaped that she loved. But Haris wasn’t playing games, and she soon explained why not, “They have templates? Something like that. Hundreds and hundreds of messages, rumors, gossip articles, ready to go. My little soldiers…” Haris smiled, “When I pull this lever, Bethany—that’s the name she chose, sound familiar Trix? Bethany will go down in a storm of drama and certainly debt once the lawyers get to her. I won’t have anyone taking my place. You shouldn’t either.”
Haris finished… buffing the lever. She winked at Trixany and, for the third time that evening, beckoned her over to do something that Trixany knew she would hate. Trixany should have never towed Haris around Quel’thalas, knowing what she was…
Friggin Haris Pilton.
“Pull the lever, Trixany. Everyone knows you’re going to marry Siggy by now. A Horde B celerity slot is going to be empty soon. She, and so many others are clamoring to steal your brand. And if you think that isn’t theft? Your hard-earned money, the songs you wrote or co-wrote. Every Tart performance, every catchphrase. Hours, gold pieces, it translates into chunks of your life that they want to tear into. And once they get fat enough on it, big enough to reach the top shelf, they’ll stand on your head too, and say that they were meant to be there all along. Take your man…”
Haris stopped. It was only obvious how she truly felt, now.
“Haris, I think… we shouldn’t pretend to… to like one another. And I should go.”
Haris lifted her chin, daring her. “Can you? Can you walk away from finally being a Horde A celebrity the right way? From all this power?”
Trixany rolled her eyes, sensing Haris’ evil femme fatale catchphrase was coming, “You’re gonna say it’s… Magnificent?”
“Hot.”
“OH, right. Haris, how could we ever forget.”

vulthuryol-majicue replied to your photo: Made some tweaks to Durandal’s Manus Celer Dei-era...
Definitely approve of the outfits! Does the crowns help them interact with Jjaro technology? Or perhaps acts like a visor/scanner?
Thanks! Hadn’t thought of the crowns as interfaces for Jjaro tech, but they very well could be, since I imagine the Rozies hanging out with the Jjaro for some months/years while they’re waiting for the Manus Celer Dei to be completed.

League of Legends Patch 8.16 Complete Change List
League of Legends came up with Patch 8.16 arrives this week with new content and new skins. It could be a refreshing update after Patch 8.15 which was a smaller patch as compared to others. The new one is focused on balancing new things suggesting that more changes are in the offing.
The Game maker said, “welcome to Patch 8.16, the one where we buff up a few tanks, and some champions who have been terrorizing the Rift get taken down a peg.
First, we’ve noticed that tanks are struggling on the Rift. We don’t want to put power into their itemization, so we’re taking this opportunity to add some baseline power into their kits. Then, there’s a few outliers who need to be kept in check, like Aatrox, Fizz, and Tryndamere.
Also, we’re launching a two patch alpha playtest of Nexus Blitz, a new experimental game mode. It’ll launch soon after the patch, so get out there and blitz the enemy Nexus”.

A self written Eulogy
I was not afraid of death, during the course of life I learned to trust the unpredictability of life, and learned to accept that anything can happen, anytime. I was also a huge believer in the unknown, and the inexplicable aspects of our existence that, that I am almost excited, to be able to explore the next chapter and learn more about it. And I hope that excitement can still be felt in the room today, like my journey has finally begun, not ended.
I will cover some important life lessons I learned of, and more importantly accepted throughout the course of my life:
1.       To be playful, and try to find the pleasure in everything. In this fast moving, overwhelming over consuming world, we are used to being constantly over-stimulated, even though our brains are not wired for the same. It’s not our fault we were born into a tech-celerated world, but it can often leave us unsatisfied with ourselves, seeing everything around us move by so fast, when we fail to catch up. It is important to adjust to a slower pace and take time to enjoy the natural things, the beauty of daily life and find ways to create novelty in monotonous days on our own.
2.       It is important to share our stories. Developing our empathy, by listening to others and sharing our own stories, is one of the best habits to develop. It will help us get through moments of difficulty and make the happy moments, even better. We are social creatures, and no matter how difficult it might be, interaction with others enriches our lives.
3.       You are capable of turning your day over, any moment. Unless your circumstances completely dictate otherwise, you are in control of your perspective and actions, you just need to realize and take hold of your power.
4.       Our biggest enemy is fear, once we overcome that, really anything is possible.
5.       Keep having fun.
Secondly, I would like to thank everyone close to me, once more, who accompanied me through my life and contributed to my identity by inspiring me, sharing with me, helping me and putting me in my place when I needed it. You will find your individual letters along with my belongings.
I would also like to appreciate the places I grew up in, lived in, and travelled to. In one way or another, they have contributed to my worldview and shaped the person I was today.
It had been such a pleasure to help you all dream, feel empowered and become your best selves along with me.
NOTES
1. I sat on this over the course of two, three days and it was still so difficult for me to envision my future boldly.
2. I realized I need to sit down, think of my goals and solidify them so much as to writing them down and perhaps steps I can take to achieve them, that in itself is a step.
3. Not just career goals, but spiritual and personality goals.
3. Once that is done, I will try re doing this exercise.
