「AI生成で30万枚作ってわかったこと」を読んだ話

こちらの記事を書いた方は2022年から生成AIを使って画像を生成していく中で生成側と鑑賞側の間にある大きなギャップを感じAI生成において最も欠如しているものは「物語」だということに考えます。プロンプトを設定してAIが生成した数百枚の画像の中から希望に近いものを選定していくその時に生成者はなにか物語をもって選定をしてはいるもののそれは鑑賞者にとっては小さすぎる物語であり、人は意外と誰が描いているか（その背景にある物語）をみていると続いています。このテキストはとても前向きないい締め方になっているので興味のある方は是非読んでみてくださいね。 ここで書かれている事にすごく同意した上で所謂生成AIでアニメ絵的なものが大量に生成されてそこにある種の物語を感じることができる人がたくさんいるということはどういうことかというを考えるとそれは鑑賞側に物語を記号化した共通の言語（例えば黒髪ロングで眼鏡だったら委員長キャラなのかなというような）が出来上がっているからなのかなと思えます。となるとリアル風な生成AI画像であったりAIではなくても個人個人のイラストや絵画、音楽などなどなんの話にもいえるような気がしますが鑑賞側に共通の言語があってそこに物語が広がっていると感じさせる事ができればより広く作品に触れてもらうことができるような気がしてきます。 ここで書いている物語というのはいわゆる昔々〜というようなものではなくその作品の背景に広がる世界でどんな誰がどういう風なことを考えて描いているか、どんなバックボーンがあってその曲が生まれたのかなどなどのことを指して書いているのですがそもそも物語というのはどのように浮き上がってくるかということを考えてみました。 物語は文字通り語りなので誰かが誰かに語ることで浮き上がってきます。作者側から全てを提供する物語もあればそれがどんなに小さなことでもいくつか情報がばらまかれそれを見たときにその情報たちをつなぐ線だったりその周りに広がる世界だったりを想像することで鑑賞側の中で生まれる物語もあります。このあたりの話は大塚英志が物語消費論でビックリマンを例に書いていたことでもあるのでそちらご興味あれば。 で、これがどういう話なのかというとこのtiny chatをはじめた理由のひとつにもなってくるのですが自分が好きなものや影響を受けたもの、いま気になっていること、どんな食べ物を食べたよやそこに遊びにいったよでもなんでもいいんですがそういった一見ばらばらの情報を参照できる状態にしておくことで作品に触れた人にそこにある作品の背景にある物語を感じ取ってもらえたりそこには今はないけれどありそうな新しい何かを運んでくれたりするきっかけになるのかなと思っています。元ネタといってしまうと聞こえがわるいような気もしますがあたりまえに何かが積み重なった上に今の自分があるのでそういったことを共有していく楽しさみたいなことがAIとの付き合いの中で人ができることとして重要になっていくと思っていますしそういう話をしていきたいなと思っています。 （killdisco）
