AND THEY LIVED FOREVER AFTER
“AND THEY LIVED FOREVER AFTER” is a wedding venue that allow people to use as much flower as they want in their wedding by being eco-friendly and leave no guilty to the people. This wedding still provide same feeling as a dream wedding but not only perfect in the visual but also in the  process of making.
Tumblr media
This mind map demonstrates how much energy is used in the process of producing flowers.
This wedding chooses 3 processes from the process of consumption to develop further. The process that has been chosen is the process that has a negative effect on the environment which is production, using and disposing.
The process of this wedding follow “Slow movement flower” which support flower industry to grow flower without chemical locally, ethically and seasonally
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
People will prefer the things that they are familiar with, in this case an arranged flower. The flower in this wedding venue are designed to look like arranged flowers or human made.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To produce less carbon footprint as much as it can, this wedding venue only allows clean energy to be used in this place. Moreover, most of the work is done by people. The manual below explained how to work and also provide a proper workload for them.

Vaccine for informality
In Bangkok we’re used to see vendors occupy a lot of pavement space, affecting people’s everyday life. In order to clear the passage, the government proposes to organize the place by concentrating activities in a shopping center.  Even if this process of formalization makes the government successful in clearing the pavement, it destroys all hidden values in the market.
Tumblr media
This project uses Phahurat as an example of community in Thailand that not only has a strong economic structure but also an interesting mix between cultures which would all disappear if we deal with the issue through formalization.
Tumblr media
As a consequence, we suggest a strategic intervention that will not harm Phahurat. which is “Vaccine for informality”
Tumblr media
Formalization could be interpreted as a disease that will destroy all element in Phahurat. However, instead of rejecting any formalization in Phahurat, by using a process similar to vaccination, injecting a bit of the disease in the area, it will make it “immune”. By using a “vaccine for informality” we can inject a little of formalization into Phahurat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More specifically, clear circulation and relocation were applied to the place, using much lower time and budget compared to the creation of a new shopping center, compromising between government and vendors, creating much more effective results.
Tumblr media
Even though markets in Bangkok occupy a lot of public space, there is still an important value in the informality that makes us try to preserve it. But in reality we cannot protect informality by not allowing any change to happen. “Vaccine for informality” suggests a way to let go on some parts, in order to protect the actual core which is truly important.

Fictional Scenario
“Chertam, are you free this evening?” “Yes, why?” “I am running out of my foundation, I need a new one. let’s go to siam square” “Sure I will, i need new eye liner too”
After two of them get everything they need, they decide to grab a drink at one of the coffee shop in siam square one. While they were talking and enjoying coffee, Chertam has noticed a little bit of green in this mall.
“Hey look at that, that’s the new park in siam square” “It’s pretty small, is it?” “Yes it looks really small and very strange” “Can we go inside?”
“I think it’s free of charge, we can go inside” “It’s amazing being inside here” “I feel you” “This corner is nice too, do you want to take a picture?” “Yes!”
They took sometimes to take picture for each other in the small garden. While others are, too, taking pictures.
“I really don’t recognise that this is siam square one in the picture” “Me too, these green has cover it all up” “But what is this place for actually?” “Like a small park maybe?”
“But i wouldn’t hang out here to be honest. Will you” “Hm i don’t know” “Like if you can choose, chilling here, or a cafe nearby, what will you choose?” “Cafe absolutely” “Right? everyone here is just taking photos and left” “Or that is the purpose?”
Then couple of people walked inside the park with a picnic basket. So two of them rushing out of the park because it is not big enough to fit so many people at the same time. If this park become popular, Chertam guesses they have to get in line maybe?

Overconsumption of flower
This study focusing on how people start creating perfection from nature to refer to the transcendence of sacredness and strive for more perfection in that creation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many people try to be surrounded by nature to say that they love nature but from the overconsumption of flower and nature elements above, Can they still say that they really love nature?
The scenario is about how people react to overconsumption of flower. If too much is not good, what will people do?
Replace
Due to using cut flower have short life time and create a lot of carbon footprint in transportation we suggest to replace flower with other material.
Tumblr media
Replace with soil
Tumblr media
Replace with water
Edible flower
if we can’t reduce, can we use it more worthy? This one suggest to use vegetable instead of flower and after we make a merit we can eat it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reusable flower
This one suggest to extend the lifetime of cut flower and reuse it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Examples of flowers that can be reuse in many weddings.
Tumblr media
At the end, if we really care about nature what should we do? Can we replace flower with others but can we make sure that it will not make further damage. Can we consume less? Does it really help when small size still have the same process of making?
Is it better to reconsider the word “perfection”? What is the real perfection? The visual or the process behind?
