FYI: I will be at the New Dorp Comic Con at New Dorp High School in Staten Island on May 10th. It's a small, local show that helps raise funds for school functions. I'm going to be doing a panel (on what, I don't know) and will be signing stuff and meeting whoever comes by the table. I probably won't have books or anything to sell but I'll bring paper/index cards to do sketches. I'll be sitting next to the folks from JHU Comic Books and I assume they'll bring whatever books of mine they have on hand. Or not. Bring your own books, I'm happy to sign whatever folks bring that I worked on.

It's coming up to summer con season in the Northern Hemisphere, so I want to post this little infographic I made about staying cool at summer cons!

Don't mess around with heat, since heat stroke can be deadly. Heat exhaustion will make you miserable. Just don't.

Stay cool and hydrated out there, and don't forget to pregame water so you're well hydrated before the con even starts. ;]

Went to Fanboy Expo yesterday thinking I was only gonna be able to afford getting a picture with Rob ... I ended up getting to see everyone who was there !!! <3

It was SO much fun.

They were all so nice to me and I had a lot of quick yet silly conversations. I was especially excited to meet Rob and when I did I started crying--he was... SO. SWEET. He told me not to be nervous and that I looked amazing. Gave him a very big hug and couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day. I told Alex about the conversations I've had with my lesbian aunt and how she thinks Sadie's a total cowbian badass. Alex replied with : "Yeah, I imagine she likes to go with the flow." Which, slay. Overall, I wish I wasn't so awkward with Roger and Benjamin (and a little bit with Peter and Kaili) but honestly I was kind of intimidated with them being the 'main characters' of Red Dead 2 while I've only ever played Red Dead 1 (IK Benjamin played Dutch in the first game as well but his appearances were a lot more important in the 2nd). Hoping the next time I get to see any of the Red Dead cast I won't be so shy -- and not to mention I'll be prepared with gifts !!!

When I'm not so busy with school I'm hoping to create some silly art of some stuff that was said about the characters during the panel... hehehe... <3

Hey folks, I'll be doing my first real convention since I started Yellow Brick Ramble! In fact, it's my first since before the pandemic!

Im gonna be going to Megacon Orlando in February and im lowkey dreading the vibes that the convention might have, because conventions are one of those places that are unequivocally and objectively safe spaces for all walks of race, sexuality, identity etc. But at the same time, it also attracts the most old fashioned bigoted 60+ year olds who are just there to buy funko pops to resell. And that happens in every state in every city.

Im from Austin, one of the bluest cities in Texas, and even in cons held there and in the surrounding area you'll find your fair share of bigots and racists, but this convention is gonna be in ORLANDO, the lions den of racism apparently

like dont get me wrong, im excited, im really excited to meet up with friends and talk to people i haven't rlly talked to since Momocon, but at the same time we are going into the fucking Hitler capital of the US, the literal reddest red state there is, and i have NO idea what to expect
