June 2025: Historic/Classic UK Motorsport Events
The season is well underway and events are planned for every weekend, so for this post I’ll try to pinpoint what I think will be the best events to attend. They aren’t all “festival” type events but hopefully they will have interesting grids on the best circuits. 31 May/01 June Masters Historic Festival Brands Hatch is perhaps the most popular UK circuit, with good viewing and, for the…

Check out my Etsy!
I'm sad to admit I've always been cursed at finishing chapters. Can't tell you how many times I just threw down a gradient over some dialogue and said 'scene'! And half the time the dialogue is bad.
Anyway, "Your Favorite Season" or chapter 2, has officially concluded!
I'm almost completely done drawing up chapter 3, coloring just takes a long time. I know people are wondering what's going on with Simon, but I promise you, the wait will be worth it. Or, I hope it'll be worth it. There's some super important storytelling build up that HAS to happen before Simon returns, and you'll see why, when it happens. He's guaranteed to return in chapter 4, at the very least! And I think you'll like what I got planned.
Also sorry to the Adventure Time tags. I uhhh. I can't stop drawing.
Oh! Also I'm doing two conventions, back to back. Las Cruces comic con this weekend, and Colorado Springs Comic con next weekend! CSCC in particular is a madhouse, and back to back shows are INSANE and a lot of work, so updates will probably be way slower for a little while. I'll probably be drawing pages during my downtime, but coloring takes more focus. That, and the next chapter needs new backgrounds, too.
Anyway, if you happen to be going to either of those two events, my table is under the name 'Crayon Queen Creations', so feel free to stop by!
Now that all that dialogue is out of the way, enjoy!

On April 16, secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the closure of the State Department’s Counter Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference Office (R-FIMI), formerly known as the Global Engagement Center (GEC). The closure marks a significant step in the dismantling of state-run censorship and aligns with President Trump’s 2024 campaign promise to combat government overreach in regulating speech.
Established in 2011 as the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications (CSCC) under Executive Order 13584, the agency's initial mission was to counter terrorist propaganda. In 2016, it was rebranded as the Global Engagement Center (GEC) via Executive Order 13721, broadening its focus to include foreign propaganda and disinformation from state and non-state actors.
Cyber-expert and former State Department official Mike Benz, who worked for the State Department, interviewed Rubio to gain deeper insight into what the GEC’s closure means for free speech and foreign relations. Benz has been a key figure in exposing what he calls “the whole-of-society censorship framework.” Benz describes the framework as an architecture comprising VPNs, end-to-end encrypted chats, and other internet communication tools.
Benz argues that this framework, originally intended to promote the free exchange of information, quickly evolved into a system for suppressing dissent and censoring information not sanctioned by the state or its partners. The closure ends approximately $65 million in funding and the elimination of 50 full-time staff positions, according to Benz.

“The art of sim racing!…is it worth it? Part 2” The Grand Illusion Issue 5
First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2nd of all I’m sorry for the huge gap between these parts but you know, life gets in the way…
Where we left off, I had joined TTCC, the Team Touring Car Championship was a league that was ran by some veterans sim racers. Quite a lot of good characters too! I joined them right as the Classic Sports Car Championship or CSCC began. The series consisted of Ferrari Dino, Nissan Fairlady, BMW 3.0, and Lancia Stratos. These older cars were amazing in their own right!…except for the BMW which was just a drag heavy car.

The Fairlady ZG would become my car for the choosing! The thing was quite the mover! Early in the short season I showed I had pace! A 2nd place at Daytona saw me net my first podium in a test race. Then what followed was a 5th at Laguna Seca, a 7th at Sardenga Road A which saw me suspended the next race. After an accident in turn 1, the team I driver for benched me.

The Shadow Racers team were my team managers. They ran the ship well, but had strict instructions. If you messed up once, it was curtains for you. However their head of the team took a liking to me and even picked my brain bout setups.

While benched, the team put me in the 432 Fairlady for testing before the season finale. It turned out to be a great match for me where I snatched a pair of top5s! And then, came the infamous GR4 season.

GR4 is a category of cars similar to their GR3 LeMans counterparts only less horsepower and downforce. The original plan was to mix up the teams…and they did get mixed up alright, as in USA Vs Euro. It was split between the cars. I was forced to go to the Euro team due to some of the members of Shadow Racers not wanting me around them. I chose my Alfa155! A car that at the time was kind of OP when the Balance of Performance or BoP was applied. However things were short lived.

I started last after a mess up in qualifying, I got up as high as 4th, but then fell back. That’s me in the 24 by the way. However, things went bad when after the race, a few of my teammates were heated towards me for a few things. They didn’t like the fact I filled a gap during one of the laps, and said I raced them too hard.

After a disappointing 11th place finish, I was told to pack my bags and leave the community. It was absolutely shattering cause I knew we had some great race coming up! After leaving , I took my league cars and did the painstaking process of removing the decals and all off. However, I ended up winning 4 races back to back in the Daily’s!
Racing in leagues always has its bright moments, but also it has a dark side… you’ll definitely meet some great folks off the track, some pretty much fun to race with, others not so much. Some that want to be top of the charts in everything and will stop at nothing to knock you off. If one thing it has taught me, is that some will absolutely HATE your style, some will love it.
After being booted out for stupid shit, including taking some risks that got me some great finishes. I chose to end my league career, for now.
Racing in Daily’s seems to be my bread and butter been racing. As I continue to head towards 200 online wins. I want to do it on my own terms. Does it sound selfish? Sure to some yes. But for me, who was shunned out during 2021, and was told by former friends “You’re a loser! You should have played earthbound”, “there’s nothing in sim racing, all you do is turn left right?”, “kill yourself loser”, “just log off forever!”, I want to win on my terms. Just me, the track, 15 others on track who I don’t know, and the laps ahead of me.

If I hit 200 wins where do I go from here? Do I retire? Do I continue? Do I go back league racing, or do I begin my own thing? To be honest…I don’t know. Maybe I’ll continue to race till I can’t anymore. For now, as races come and go, I’ve got videos to film, and even some surprises and even some BTS stuff
But that’s a blog, for another day!
Also speaking of videos: watch my newest on here: https://youtu.be/IWU5nUOQcq4?si=X9HbtWiYrHzXIp9v

Complement-aRy roles for immune proteins in skin cancer: C5 triggers metastasis with α "q" of signals
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC), a type of skin cancer, it’s the second most common type of skin cancer, after basal cell carcinoma and its incidence is increasing. It is estimated that cSCC accounts for nearly 25% of annual skin cancer deaths. Exposure to solar UV radiation is the predominant risk factor for this cancer. Approximately 3% to 5% of primary cSCCs metastasize, and the…

Why Clean Cars Matter in Club Racing Championships
In the movie Days of Thunder, the character Harry Hogge told his driver “he didn’t slam you, he didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you… he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin’.” In the world of NASCAR the rubbing and nudging is pretty much the norm. Cars are running in close proximity with no chicanes or tight corners where braking and acceleration provide an opportunity to overtake, so a…
