CSOW : AMARYLLIS : DAY 2 : MISSION

LEFT TO RIGHT

SHOEBLADES - His kicks hurt EXTRA because his sharp, metal-tipped shoes can slice, stab, and gash.

POISON CLAWS - Strong opponent or not, if he scratches you more than a few times, you start to become disoriented with every move.

VIALS - He keeps SO MUCH of these in his very tight pockets, and he knows every single one of them. Keep your eye on what he’s throwing!

JAMMERS - Amaryllis on camera? Nice try. His jammers will glitch out any camera or device directed at him, no matter what. He wont be seen.

GAS - What’s that smell?…why do you feel dizzy? Of course, Amaryllis’ poison gasses! He has a range of non-lethal to very lethal, and keeps whatever he needs to use at each caper. Better bring a gas mask!

COMBAT

Amaryllis majorly fights with a brutal combination of agility, strength, and force, and he’s even more lethal with these tools.

His senses are very heightened, though he’s half blind, he can sense your presence anywhere you go.

He’s also very quick and precise, it’s very difficult to get him off his feet.

Thinking of using his weapons against him? Bad idea. He’s immune to poisons and gasses. Unless you can find his acids, which are securely hidden in plain sight, and difficult to get.

THIEVING

Depending on his mood and the risks, he can choose to be stealthy, or to give himself a chase just for fun.

’Bait and Switch’ is his favorite move.

CCTVs may not be watching him…but he’s watching you.

If he does choose to give himself a chase, he’ll hide his face.

He likes to trick any opponent a lot.

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 2: MISSION June 8th

"You or them, Ms. Sandiego. Your choice."

For today's prompt, Mission, I decided to showcase Python's intelligence on emotional manipulation. With a psychology degree under her belt, she is well-acquainted with how fear controls people. Tasked with capturing Carmen, she turns to the people Carmen is closest to first, roughs them up, and uses them as leverage.

This is actually part one of three of a mini-series showing how Python works! Today, Carmen is captured to prevent Julia and Ivy's captivity and torture. On day 6 and 7 you'll see the result of that happening!

CSOW [Day / Entry I - Introduction]

Hey there! Do pardon the fact that this post is a bit delayed, I'm about to play one hell of a catch up game.

May I introduce.. Flame!

Flame, upon being stolen from one of VILE's criminal underworld rivals back when he was a cub, would be raised and trained alongside eleven other mutant animals of different species. Together, they formed a class of super thieves that'd been kept under wraps by VILE's higher-ups, only being rediscovered by sleuths following the criminal league's collapse.

There's more lore but that's all you're getting for now >:)

Carmen Sandiego OC WEEK DAY 1 : Introduction June 7th

Introducing : Emira

‘A little project or a good asset’ is what they like to call her, but really just because they can transform her into whatever they want. Professor Mealstrom and Docter Bellum really like to stretch her into ‘her best self’ only to go from an energetic happy teenage girl- to a sleep-deprived, all nighter, overworking intern.

She isn’t stupid though, she likes no she loves science, physics, art and philosophy. Besides her talent can be a very good use to the Faculty,….right ?

But she’s still not happy with her life, she feels like the shadow of Docter Bellum, so for her nickname Sombra (shadow in Spanish)

But what choice does she have, leave the only life you’ve ever know ? or go to the outside world with no one behind your back ?

“They did it because they loved me..”

CSOW : AMARYLLIS : DAY 4 : TRAGEDY (TW : SLIGHT GORE)

…

“No…no!” a young boy dropped to the sharp, rocky ground scraping his knees.

“I—This— This is all my fault…” He babbled to himself.

His right eye— if he even had one anymore, was aching from the debris that stabbed his freshly scorched face. His hands, were rough and throbbing with burns.

But nothing could compare to the tightness he felt in his chest when he saw the monsterous fire scorch them to death…all he could hear were their screams ringing in his ears.

Why did the accident have to happen?

This didn’t have to happen.

If he didn’t leave them behind..

He..

This was all his fault.

This was all his fault.

He stood up quick enough to gash his knees from the sharp, rough, rocky ground, but he didn’t care about the blood that dripped from the scars. He ran, and ran, deaf to the sirens— from ambulances and police cars, that drove right past him.

He couldn’t keep being there…Everything was his fault, he couldn’t handle it.

3 DAYS LATER.

It was an unusually quiet, slightly rainy day in the streets of Vera Cruz, Mexico. It was around 6pm, little stands were about to close down.

A man, watching the peaceful sunset with a tired but small grin, was preparing to close down his shop, when all of the sudden he saw a shadow run past him.

After a few seconds of recovering from the shock that ran through his body, he realized.

“Thief!” The man, tired and enraged, chased after the shadow, following him into an alleyway.

It was a young boy, around fourteen, holding a box of snacks. He looked so scared, with a deep, unhealed, and nasty wound on the right side of his face.

“Dead end…Ay, niño, if you can give me the money to buy it, i’ll let you have it. But if not…then I’m afraid i’m gonna have to-“

The man then shrieked as he felt an electric shock stun his entire body! The young boy froze, moving back a little.

His heart was pounding, who did this..?

The man collapsed to the ground, and it was…a woman. A tall, dark-skinned woman, wearing a purple dress, and with her curly dark hair tied into a high bun.

She dropped some coins in front of the man. “Ay dios..”

She then looked over at the boy, who looked mortified.

“Are you alright?” She asked with a kind smile…a smile like his mother’s.

Tearfully, he nodded, averting his gaze from her.

”Ayy…” She brushed his hair, that was covering most of his face, away to the side.

She seemed to have a look of shock when she saw the hideous, rough amount of scars on the right side of his face.

“Come, let’s get you some medical attention, and I’ll let you stay at my place, alright? This is no place for a little kid to rest..”

He looked at her, his eyes wide with shock.

“Come, niño.” She gave him his hand, and he hesitantly gave her his.

He noticed her face drop a little, knowing how rough his hands were at the moment, but she smiled again.

“I’m Marta. What’s your name?”

The boy didn’t answer..

“…That’s okay.” she smiled, “let’s go, alright?”

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 3: RELATIONSHIPS June 9th

diversity win! the woman torturing you is aroace!

shes hot buff lady with homoerotic tension with a lot of the women she tortures, but this is mostly a result of her being hot and cool and knowing how to leverage her traits to get people to do what she wants them to whilst working. outside of work she's wholly uninterested in romance. she's so real for that

as for friend relationships, she doesn't have a lot of operative friends because, even though she's pretty chill, everyone knows that if they royally fuck up she will not hesitate to do as she is told. she is more of a weapon than in a person in the eyes of most.

she has one younger sibling whom the faculty use as leverage against her to keep her in line.

nobody talk about how she looks like a different person every time i draw her

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 6: FAVORITE CHARACTER June 12th

"I find putting your hair up tends to stop things from getting in the way. Makes it easier for us both."

carmen is in my top three favs because she lives in my head as a way cooler character than she technically is in the show. day 2's art was originally supposed to switch with this one (julia and ivy are my other two favs), but I wanted to put the aftermath of carmen's capture on day 2 before the art i have of her...captured lol

SO here's python with carmen! tried to sort of do show style- not exactly, of course, the ears/face are a little different- and lets please not discuss the hand jesus its so bad

my original idea for python was "homoerotic lady who tortures carmen" so you can see that idea coming back in this art lol

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 1: INTRODUCTION June 7th

Meet Python, the OC I'll be introducing to you this week!

Her gimmick: being the torture lady! She is assigned VILE's prisoners and is very good at making them hurt. Despite this, she doesn't take joy in hurting people. It's just her job. Another day clocking in at the torture dungeon.

If she wasn't the one snapping each of your fingers one by one she would be the most chill person you know. She's fairly likable and calm most of the time. When working, she's very efficient and rarely draws anything out unless instructed to by whoever specifically hired her for the day's torturing.

As for her ref: her necklace is a shark's tooth; the mark on her face is just a birthmark :)

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 4: TRAGEDY June 10th

Python was coerced into joining VILE after the death of her parents as a young adult. She was left with sole custody of her younger sibling and was struggling with the burden of student loan debts. VILE had taken note of her due to a few papers she researched whilst in university.

VILE approached her and, when she refused to join the school with a specialty in intimidation tactics and methods of torture, they suggested that she join and send money back to her sibling- under the threat of a hit on the sibling.

Python now works with VILE with few complaints. She and her sibling rarely see each other- they think she is working abroad, which is not entirely untrue, but they obviously don't know what Python does. The two of them live comfortably because of VILE, and Python is able to know that, due to her working for VILE, her sibling will forever be protected, sheltered, and fed without any money worries...as long as Python never acts out.

Python has long since accepted her place in the world as a living weapon. Knowing what she does keeps her sibling safe, she is able to detach herself from her work as soon as she "clocks out" for the day. It's the only way she can preserve her sanity.

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 7: LA FEMME ROGUE June 13th

More of a terrible day for Carmen, I would say!

This art is the aftermath of the pieces from days 2 and 6. Finally, we get to see exactly what it is that makes Python so fearsome- she is named for how she can squeeze the hope out of you.

I'd imagine this is a picture Python sends VILE to confirm that Carmen has been captured and is being taken care of. Maybe it leaks to Team Red for extra angst.

I figure Python is largely holding up Carmen in this image, seeing as she's very nearly too injured to stand by herself.

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 5: MENTORSHIP June 11th

This is my only day where I don't have any relevant art. I included instead my original sketch for Python. Thank god I beefed her up shes so much cooler now.

I don't have a lot in terms of mentorship for her- someone obviously taught the psych major they blackmailed to hurt people but I suppose the most influential thing in her life was that threat of violence towards her sibling. She was willing to learn anything after that to keep them safe.

CSOW : AMARYLLIS : DAY 3 : RELATIONSHIPS

SPINKICK X AMARYLLIS X FLYTRAP

SUMMARY - Amaryllis would do whatever it takes to make sure his teammates are safe.

There they were again, pulling their usual tricks. Stealing from another highly secure residence, after successfully decoying Carmen to a different location just to mess with her head.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly. The jewel shone in Amaryllis’ piercing green eye, it was just begging to be stolen.

He placed a fingertip on the sparkling gem, but it didn’t sparkle anymore once the room turned red, and echoed with alarm.

At this moment, he felt this face distort into a rare look of fear. Though not for himself.

At this point, he didn’t care about the gem. where was Spinkick and Flytrap?!

As quickly as he could, he rushed through the halls, his thoughts louder than the alarms that were blaring, his breathing audibly laboured as he whispered small profanities.

He knew that this residence had defensive protocols, and with them in the main room, they could get hurt, or worse, killed.

Before he rushed into the hallway, he came across some sort of box, with electrical settings.

Careless about any painful electrocution, with his claws, he sliced off some of the wires, and the blaring stopped…

He let out a shaky, nervous laugh, he was relieved. But, still, he needed to get to his teammates.

“Spinkick! Flytrap!” He yelled, running towards them and the deactivated, defensive machines.

Flytrap, with a panicked look on her face, started trying to explain.

“Boss, we’re so sorry! We didn’t mean to trip the alarm— We didn’t mean for everything to be out of con—“

But she stopped rambling as soon as she felt Amaryllis’ arms wrap around them.

“—trol…?”

“Are you guys okay?..” He whispered, cupping their faces as gently as he could.

Spinkick could feel his hands shaking, and knew from the horror in his face that he was so worried. He placed his hand on top of Amaryllis’, and leaned into it. He listened as Amaryllis’ breathing turned slow and calm. And while he did this, he muttered,

“We’re fine…we’re sorry, ‘Lis..”

“Does that matter? Let’s just get out of here…” He grabbed their hands, but Flytrap’s eyes became wide with realization, seeing Amaryllis’ lootbag empty.

“But- what about the gem?”

Amaryllis sighed, with his face tinted with the color he despised.

“Something else mattered more at that moment.”

He shook his head, a tiny grin pulling at the corner of his lips.

“Let’s get out of here.”

CSOW day 7, La Femme Rouge

Chipper glared up at Carmen as she blocked another one of their attacks.

When was Vile coming in with backup?! They said they were coming soon, but that didn't seem to be the case.

They threw their chisel, narrowly missing Carmen's cheek. She had dodged their attack again. Carmen could see the frustration boiling behind Chipper's mask as the chisel flew back into their grip.

Just then, Chipper felt their ear piece buzz to life, they recognized the familiar voice of one of The Cleaners.

"There has been some.. complications. You are on your own."

Chipper lost their focus, giving Carmen an opening to disarm them. They were thrown against the wall, arms pinned.

Their thoughts and emotions swirled, it felt like a rollercoaster. But one thing was constant.

Why?

Why now? What happened? Why would they leave him alone to fend for himself now? What kind of "complication" forced them to not help now?

They kicked at Carmen's stomach, escaping from her grip. They ripped their mask off, feeling suffocated.

"Stupid Vile.. Stupid.." Chipper muttered, gripping the now torn straps of their mask.

"If Vile is so stupid, why'd you join in the first place?" Carmen narrowed her eyes at Chipper from across the room.

"WHAT ELSE WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?" They instinctively reached into one of their pockets to throw something else at Carmen, but found their pockets empty.

They growled, chucking their mask at Carmen, it hit the wall behind her and fell to the floor, the intricate craft now cracked.

"Bills were piling up.. pickpocketing wasn't enough.. I did what I had to." They muttered. But even with the rage and frustration in their eyes, there was clearly a hint of doubt in them.

As they were about to lunge at Carmen again, their eyes fell to the cracked mask. They panted, eyes trained on it.

The change was almost instant, the rage in their eyes replaced with something akin to sadness, but not quite.

Carmen stared, anticipating their next move.

After a few tense moments of silence, they reached into one of their pockets and threw the artifact they had stolen towards Carmen, thankfully, she caught it right before it hit the ground.

Chipper stood there, just staring at the mask.

"I don't know of any other plans Vile has. But I heard some chatter about something in Venice." They said, voice flat.

WOAHHBHHHHH NO WAYYYYYY THEY BETRAYED VILE?!?!?!???

But yeah, this is an idea/concept ive got for how Chipper would leave vile! another major choice they make.

But is it really worth it? was it the right choice? Find out next time on-

oh and ignore any plot holes and choppy writing, i wanted to get this donencjencnen
