Tumblr media
On track he was always the toughest of tough competitors, tough sometimes to the point at which I’d wonder how could such a nice bloke out of a car grow such horns and a tail inside one,
Stirling Moss on Jack Brabham
Sir Jack Brabham's three world championships ( 1959, 1960, 1966) were the product of both his engineering expertise and driving skill. His first two titles, in rear-engined Coopers he helped develop, confirmed the obsolescence of front-engined Formula One cars. His third title, in a Brabham, made him the only driver to become champion in a car of his own make. His last win came at the 1970 South African Grand Prix, after which, aged 44 and with 126 races behind him, the triple champion retired to Australia. His now-defunct team was sold to future Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone while Ron Dennis, Brabham’s erstwhile chief mechanic, went on to transform McLaren.
At 18 he joined the Royal Australian Air Force in Adelaide, where he wanted to learn to fly but was instead trained to fill a wartime shortage of flight mechanics. Upon his discharge, in 1946, an uncle in the construction business built him a workshop in Sydney, where Jack opened his own engineering establishment.
Tumblr media
Jack's introduction to motorsport came through a friend who raced midgets on dirt track ovals in 1951. Jack helped him build a new car and when his friend decided to stop driving Jack took over and became a regular winner. In self-prepared midgets he won four successive Australian championships and was the 1953 hillclimb champion in a British-built Cooper-Bristol. Two years later his growing ambition to expand his motorsport horizons brought Jack to England. A meeting with John and Charles Cooper, constructors of his successful Australian car, led to a friendship and partnership that would propel the tiny Cooper Car Company and 'Black Jack' Brabham into the forefront of Formula One history.
With Brabham providing the inspiration (he helped persuade the Coopers to take the rear-engine route into Formula One racing) and the perspiration (he built up his first chassis in Cooper's workshop) the tiny British cars with the engines in the back sped to the front in an era previously dominated by big, front-engined Italian and German roadsters.
Tumblr media
In the Brabham-led team's first full championship season of 1958 the debut win for a Cooper came courtesy of Stirling Moss, who drove Rob Walker's private entry to victory in Argentina.
In 1959 Moss won twice, but Brabham's victories in Monaco and Britain together with his consistently high placings resulted in the Australian winning a drivers’ title that some thought owed more to stealth than skill, an opinion at least partly based on Brabham's low-key presence.
As much an engineer as a racing driver, with wartime experience working as ground crew in the Royal Australian Air Force, Brabham was never one to hog the limelight or seek attention. Always a man of few words - his nickname 'Black Jack' referred to both his dark hair and his propensity for maintaining a shadowy silence - he avoided small talk and was undemonstrative in the extreme.
Tumblr media
Brabham may not have been a big talker or particularly flamboyant but he was as shrewd as they come. Behind the wheel he was anything but shy and retiring. He put his head down and drove exceedingly forcefully, opposite-locking his car dirt-track style, and was not averse to deliberately showering gravel in the face of a too closely following pursuer. His aversion for the limelight became more of a problem in 1960, when he completely dominated the nine-race series, winning consecutively in Holland, Belgium, France, Britain and Portugal, en route to his second successive championship.
Following an unproductive 1961 season, when the Ferraris were all powerful, Brabham left Cooper to form Motor Racing Developments, in partnership with the talented Australian designer Ron Tauranac. The MRD Brabhams were quickly successful in several categories of racing, particularly Formula Two where for several years they dominated, affording the opportunity for many drivers to advance their careers. The Brabham Formula One car, which first appeared late in 1962, became steadily more competitive as the team leader personally perfected the chassis set-up and fine-tuned the Climax engines. In 1964 Brabham had the satisfaction of seeing his team mate Dan Gurney win in France and Mexico.
Tumblr media
For 1966, when the new 3-litre formula came into effect, Brabham persuaded an Australian company Repco (a manufacturer of automotive components) to produce a Formula One engine from a venerable Oldsmobile V8 design. Equally ancient was Brabham himself, or so it seemed to the media and his much younger rivals who used to kid him about his age. Prior to the 1966 Dutch Grand Prix, his first race after his 40th birthday, 'Geriatric Jack' Brabham hobbled onto the starting grid at Zandvoort, wearing a long false beard and leaning on a cane. Sportingly, several of his laughing opponents helped him into the cockpit of his Brabham-Repco, which happened to be on pole position.
Tossing aside his beard and cane Brabham proceeded to win that race, a feat he also accomplished in France, in Britain and in Germany - on the notoriously difficult and dangerous Nurburgring - a victory he felt was the most satisfying of his career. Thus in 1966 Brabham became the first (and still only) driver, to win the championship in a car of his own make.
Tumblr media
Jack Brabham, whose final victory came in the 1970 South African Grand Prix when he was 44, chose that season to retire as a driver. The Brabham team was sold to Bernie Ecclestone and Jack returned home to Australia, where he busied himself running a farm, a car dealership and an aviation company, and helped his sons with their racing careers. His contribution to British motorsport was officially recognised in 1985 and he became Sir Jack Brabham. He passed away peacefully at his home in May 2014, aged 88.

CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Dan's story started with Fazbear Entertainment. His dad, Oliver Rocha, had been a technician at Circus Baby's animatronic rental service back in the late 80's, before Dan had even been born. Oliver had been lucky: he and another technician, Morgan Smith, had been ambushed by the animatronics, but they weren't killed: instead, they were strung up on the stages in order to trick the sensors. Morgan managed to cut himself loose before he could run out of breath, and saved Oliver too. Dan and his brother Tristan had only ever heard stories about Oliver's experience, and they knew that he wasn't exaggerating about what happened to Eggs. So Dan wasn't surprised when upon getting his first job in robotics at some generic factory that manufactured endoskeletons (that he would later learn were the Glamrock endos), he got into an accident after just under a year.
Dan's accident left him with large scars on his face and neck, and tremmors in his hands whenever he tried to use power tools, meaning he'd have to get his certifications again. His then employer wasn't going to help him; he knew as much as the man had left him bleeding on the ground after his accident, so he quit and asked his Wife, Anna Kwemto, the founder of CK animatronic maintenance, if she was looking for a mechanical engineer.
After the contact between CK animatronic maintenance and Fazbear Entertainment came to a premature close in 2021, the ghost of a woman named Adelaide ripped through the computer systems, possessed Steve, and used strange technology to mind control Anna and Mark, causing the Adelaide Incident. Dan only survived thanks to Raha arriving late due to taking her mum's car in for an MOT, which spared her from the start of the final phase of Adelaide's plan.
The incident didn't change how he saw his colleges, and they all helped eachother recover from the horrors they endured. Whilst it did set back Dan's recovery, Anna and everyone else did thier best to help him through.
By the time Faz Ent took the last of their animatronics back in 2024, Dan had managed to re-earn his power tool certification thanks to a collaborative effort from not just Anna and the rest of CK animatronic maintenance, but with the help of Smith&Tea Robotics and R&D Robotics as well. And more importantly, he had a support network who he knew would help him if he ever had such a painful accident again.

For the five sentence fic:
Makkinen+ He will never be satisfied
Mika watches Michael climb out of the car, pumping his fists before raising one in the air, the crowd roaring to match the hunger in his face. He jumps at his mechanics and they catch him, pulling him close, grasping at his race suit.
He will never be satisfied, Mika realises. He will never stop unless he is stopped. He laughs, later, when Michael finds him in the garages, still damp with sweat and champagne, and Michael tugs him close, asking if he wants to go for drinks.
I can’t, Mika thinks, and stops. I can do drinks, he thinks, it’s all the rest I am having trouble with. I am sorry.
(Adelaide—)
(Will you still look for me if I am not here? Will you forgive me for leaving you alone?)
They go for drinks. Mika wakes up in Michael’s bed, one sock on, and never asks.
Mika announces his sabbatical a few races later, not telling Michael beforehand, and that, Mika thinks, might be what Michael never lets go, after. That might be what was unforgivable.

Diabetes Type III
Two hipsters are in Footscray Mall, they are on a date. It is a guy and a girl. A homeless man asks them for money. The girl gives him money and smiles knowing the code she’s sending to her male date is that she’s a good person.
The homeless guy talks back to her and they have a fake conversation for about ten seconds, because it's a part of the exchange that the homeless guy is paid to pretend he doesn't deserve to be on the street. His role in this three-person play recollects him from deviation. She doesn't want to be talking to him. She is pretending. She shouldn't be on a date with a guy who she has to perform a false-self in front of. The homeless guy doesn't want to earn his keep like a clown at The Royal Adelaide Show. Everyone involved is being dishonest. No one actually wants to be engaging with another. Even on a date you are just stuffing holes.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction and the homeless man has further calcified his hopeless clown mask and the hipster retard has further calcified her Married to the Mayor in the 1940s mask. They are making a random man Work For The Dole and no-one's Autonomic Nervous System is relaxed. The two hipsters on a date and the homeless man just played out old survival strategies, which feels bad every time we do it, even if it's unconscious, because it adds to our vibrational signature, and because playing small is false and the metaphysical false is the same as running off batteries instead of running off infinite effortlessly regenerative Source Energy (like biodynamic/permaculture).
Tumblr media
VS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later that day all parties from the above minor exchange will engage in a mix of over- or under-consumption, depending on each parties long pre-established coping mechanisms, as they will now know their attempts at everyday freedom were met by the border security of their bodies nervous system’s, and their visa applications to leave the confinement of the Old Survival Law were rejected.
A grief sits underneath.
Physics is subtle.
Energetically the hipster couple on a date in Footscray:
Made the homeless guy be a comedian.
Energetically raped the homeless man.
Limited variation, having the effect of bleaching culture.
Were nazi’s killing out variation.
Were big industry mandating monoculture.
Were the Work For The Dole police.
Demonstrated violence against women by re-affirming limited female behaviour.
The girl raped her male date by forcing him to stand-witness to her fear-based programming.
For three dollars the girl took two men’s freedom.
The homeless guy drugged himself, and the two on the date, by perpetuating a scenario that would result in all parties acting out in a way later on to re-establish regulation of their nervous systems.
The two leftists on a date would be jailed in spiritual court for starting off a reaction that will inevitably end in the inorganic chemical alteration of three of God’s Children’s physiology.
This could be through the obvious avenues, or the less obvious for example: cursing at someone from inside a car, gossiping, over-cleaning, taking melatonin to sleep, drinking coffee, being on antidepressants, wearing any shoe that isn’t a bare-foot shoe, getting tattoos, or eating fruit.
If you explain this to a magician they understand.
I gave up being an influential fine artist to become a magician.
I am looking for other magicians.
I was driving from Adelaide to Melbourne the long route, no highways, and went through lots of tiny townships. In country Australia everyone is dressed like an eshay.
Brunswick East has a significant Lack of Culture. There is no Actual Difference in Brunswick East. Karen R. Hurd is a biochemist and nutritionist in America. She talks about the condition of the villi lining the small intestine. You want the villi to be standing tall, proud, engorged with blood and vital but within its natural resting-working-states, and independent. Like the Great Indian Spirit of America. The food we eat makes our villi flat and smooshed like when fake-artists make “felted” fabric out of clumping fibre together, or a backpacker's squashed dreads. In Brunswick East the villi is smooth. Conflict and disagreement is important for the ecosystem.
Tumblr media
VS.
Tumblr media
Rap music makes villi flat because it is about bandaging fear instead of confronting it.
In Melbourne Fine Art sex, hate, death, apathy, violence, drugs, and post-modernism is common and cheap. In a country town it is easy and simple to do ice and dress like Eminem. Simple signifiers secure safety. The most hard looking Unit is the most scared Unit. The most stylish cool Melbourne artist whore is the most scared Melbourne artist whore. When you act on being scared you are not an artist. Anyone can contribute - to contribute does not mean to create. Melbourne art galleries with death names is smooth-villi culture. It is stable to do what is common. Our inner-child wants to feel safe. The nervous system is dysregulated and we run on defaulted survival mechanisms like layering second-hand designer clothing. It feels good to pitch a ball low like when the anaesthetist puts the gas mask over your mouth and nose and says to take “a big deep breath”. Girls starve themselves for summer and the prize is being looked at.
Everyone who says they like Ice Spice is a regressed loser not an artist. There is a lot of confusion in fine art about who is an artist. I know two artists they are On The Dimensional Quest, and the rest are parrots pursuing what is horizontal. Contributing to the culture is not the same as making a new one. Death art is mono-culture, it’s one crop. Low-ball anaesthetic art has the same effect as antibiotics and maybe those who can’t survive infection should die.
I’m honouring my villi and sculpting it like a true fine artist which means one that creates. Everyone else is a phoney two-bit actor, I didn’t know we were living in LA. We must get underneath the programming given to us by our parents, who were given their programming, all the way back to Adam and Eve, who were gifted consciousness by leaving the Garden. Underneath all the lying.
No one caring about what is new could be on The Quest. Artists must only care about what is True.
I am guiding the villi to stand up on their own and be independent and autonomous and in doing so the villi are morphing from Bob Marley dreads to big antennaes like from the 1970’s.
The villi are picking up on more frequencies and the villi themselves are acting like sails on a super-yacht and I’m sailing around quicker and smoother and sending out signals and wavelength beep bops and I’m begging for my billionaire magickian husband to pick up on the frequency because I feel so fucking alone.
Tumblr media
At our core sits our subconscious, the designer authenticator. It sends out a wavelength. Everything in your material plane is a sculptural representation of this personal wavelength. The way I’m making art today is rejecting the physical world and cultivating Great Internal Change. This guy is coming to fuck me and sail around Australia with me and at night he decorates me with Tibetan Prayer Flags and then stuffs them into my cunt with his fist.
I am so lonely I feel like I was born in New Caledonia without friends, only books and TV and I’m staring out into the ocean and I might as well have cataracts because who cares about Vision when you can’t see.
Tumblr media
Fine Art is merely fashion. Transcendental Meditation is definitively a cult and fake but they talk about if your mind is an ocean then dropping down deep into The Source Of All Thought at the bottom like James Cameron’s Deep Sea Challenger.
Fine Artists are cowards who need to become magicians but most are too scared.
I had a friend, we don’t talk anymore, that’s the pattern. She said “the way someone looks is the least interesting thing about them”. A vibrational signature radiates out and casts marks like Style, and a vampire mirrors-back and sneaks under diamond-security vault laser beam radars and gets in close because Glamour dresses snakes up like trance-inducing pendulums. Iconoclasm hones in on the skills we need to remain present when the Nervous System is Dysregulated and taken by false idols like low-value beauty. This is a quality difference similar to chocolates that look the same but one brand leaves a coat of oil in your mouth. There is a resonance difference. We come to learn to uncouple from the authority of appearance. Iconoclasm helps us develop our own internal energetic compass. Artists become tuning forks. Artists become theremin's. Melbourne Germany art heads are Anko-ass Kmart-ass spectrum bleachers and magicians are and should be invisible because vampires don’t deserve to see them. Making a painting or a sculpture or having a show is mediaeval. Saved by grace through faith, not works.
Spider tattoo prostitutes are the only people economically able to live alone in Australia. Patrick Sandberg and Paul Cupo contributed to culture and now they can holiday in Miami and live alone in Los Angeles and New York, doing what they do best, which is writing and thinking and putting clothes together, watching movies, laughing and having friends, but in Melbourne there are no rewards. It’s Diabetes Type Three.
I took a long service leave to go find us all something else. I sit at Williamstown and stare at the water. There's a giant ladder reaching into the sky. Practitioners like Irene and Seth Lyon, Jessa Reed, Neville Godard, and Josef Strau, hold the hand of the people vibrationally below them and lift them up. This is the chain of atonement described in A Course In Miracles. We extend upward like a spire constructed like vernacular architecture from bits and whatever is around. It is DIY punk but not ugly and only elegant because it is pure purpose and function, not identity. The people at the top you can’t see because they are vibrating at such a rapid speed and of such fine a frequency that they have dissolved into space and time. The string from the bottom of the ground to the top of the sky reads like a historical time-line of technology evolving. At the bottom the people are like VHS and in the middle they are like Blu-ray and near the top they are streaming, and at the top top they are just Imagination which is God carnate.
When I spin so fast I dissolve for the final time I am not coming back to help anyone!

Red Flags
Timotheé Chalamet Angst, Charles Leclerc Slow-Burn Romance
Charles Leclerc x OC
Daughter of Tony Stewart
Adelaide Stewart is Indy Cars golden girl. Going into her 11th season. She is Arrow Mclaren’s sweetheart and daughter of nascar legend Tony Stewart. Racing is in her blood. When not on the track racing she is watching best friend Lily collecting podiums in Formula 1. Crossing paths with Ferrari Golden Boy Charles Leclerc was not on her 2023 bingo card. Though neither was the break up with long-term partner Timotheé. So when Indy Car and Formula 1 collide will the only red flag Addy sees is being a Ferrari fan, or will Charles red flag track record continues only time will tell.
How you get the Girl
Lando Norris x OC
Daughter of Dale Earnhardt Jr
friends to lovers
Lily Earnhardt Formula 1’s only female driver and beloved by all. Lily’s dream of continuing the Earnhardt racing legacy and bringing home the championship was the only thing on her mind for the 2023 season. Befriending her childhood best friend Addie Stewart’s coworker and team rival Lando Norris was definitely not on her 2023 bingo card but here we are.
Mastermind
Pato O’ Ward x OC
Daughter of Jimmie Johnson
Lucy Johnson was always the quiet one growing up, her childhood best friends Addie Stewart and Lily Earnhardt both following in their fathers footsteps creating racing legacy’s of their own. Lucy was different she preferred to stay behind the scenes, the mechanics and engineering side of Motorsport. Moving from the Red Bull F1 garage to the Arrow McLaren garage was a big jump not just in living situation, work place, but a step forward in her career. Though getting to travel with Addie as her racing engineer was a dream come true and maybe her new coworker Pato isn’t so bad to dream about either.

character development task 001: the wright’s
andre richard wright || 40 || mechanic || omar sy
andre was born and raised in cleveland mississippi, a small town in the mississippi delta that is the only city outside of la to have a grammy museum! once upon a time he had the dream to leave the small town and make a name for himself in the music world, to travel and share his music, but life doesn’t always go as planned. in his high school years his dad was diagnosed with cancer, and so andre trained under him at his mechanic shop. partly to help the family out, and partly to spend more time with his pops. when he was 16 he fell in love with his next door neighbor, adelaide, ada for short. and the rest seems to be history.
the two had wanted to wait to get married until ada was done with school, andre was in the process of taking over the garage, when his father’s condition worsened and they found out they were unexpectedly expecting. and so they had an intimate wedding at their church, and though the dreams of the lavish life quickly faded from andre’s sight, he wasn’t terribly upset by it.
life wasn’t always easy, not was it kind, but andre made a point to keep a positive spin on it. so what if he couldn’t be a professional musician? he’d play at church and teach his kids, and jam at the bars on the weekend. he taught leaky everything he knew about cars, wanting to have some sort of practical training for any reason. and at the end of it all, he was proud of his kids. leaky was an incredible athlete, and smart too. he gave all he could to support his children, and though the distance between him and leaky now breaks his heart, he hopes his son knows that home is always open to him.
adelaide haven wright || 41 || rn || naomie harris
ada always knew she wanted to be a nurse, that she wanted to help her community, and that there was no way she’d leave her family behind. so all the nights that andre dreamed and rattled on about leaving cleveland, ada would pray that he wouldn’t, because she couldn’t do it. and though it broke her heart to see his dreams fall away, she admired the way he found pieces of them in the reality they faced.
with leaky’s unexpected, and very welcomed, arrival, ada felt like life couldn’t be and better. of course life at the hospital was difficult, and making ends meet wasn’t easy, but that faded away when she looked at her family, at the life they built together. she was very involved in their church, singing in the choir, teaching sunday school, and always making the mac and cheese for the cookouts. if music was her husbands dream, baking and cooking was hers. there was something therapeutic in the process, of being able to feed the people she loved, to share a slice of cake for a special occasion, or a plate on a bad day.
she is immensely proud of her son, delighted for his career in football. though she wasn’t an alabama fan she sucked it up when he was recruited. and then everything happened, and he transferred without talking to her about it, and it broke her heart. her heart breaks for her son and the pain he won’t speak of, and though she knows her response was both harsh and devastated, she wants nothing more than for leaky to be okay. part of her is glad he left alabama, had a fresh start at ogden, and has decided to rely on his studies rather than his athletic talent. but part of her mourns the kid he was, and the dreams he had, and still wishes he weren’t so far away.
malik ‘leaky’ andre wright || 21 || student || jonathan daviss
family means everything to leaky, one of the reasons he had accepted the offer at alabama in the first place. and now being so far away, it hurts him a lot more than he lets on. but he also knows the pain it would be to face them again, regularly like he had (leaky had done summer school this past summer, meaning he hadn’t gone home which was unlike him). and though he didn’t miss the mississippi humidity, he would give almost anything to be back in his momma’s kitchen, his dad lazily playing the piano, amai making up his own lyrics to the song, and haven rolling her eyes at the chaos.
haven ryan wright || 16 || marsai martin
while leaky had the athletic talent of the family, haven was the artist of the family. while their dad passed on his musical talents to the whole family, haven has a knack for writing and visual art. anything you say or idea you give her, she can turn into a masterpiece (but she does so at a price, a bit of a entrepreneur if you will). and though she knows leaky’s talents often garnished the most attention and demand, she never felt jealous of him. he couldn’t do what she could now could he?
overall haven and leaky have a close relationship, though it has diminished slightly in the past few years since he left alabama for new hampshire. it’s much further away, meaning he doesn’t come home for holidays or weekends like he used to, and she can’t go visit him as easily. still she’ll send him texts on game days (she won’t admit that she wrote in his game schedule into her planner), and always send him pics of their momma’s cookin’ to make him jealous in hopes he’ll come home soon.
amai christian wright || 11 || danny boyd jr.
amai was a happy accident. and happy, joyful, jolly, bright and every other synonym under the word ‘happy’ would be the best way to describe amai. while his specific talent hasn’t been discovered yet (ada believed that talent looked different in everyone and assured amai regularly), he still finds joy in everything he does. as a kid there was nothing better than when leaky would win a game and immediately scoop him up onto his shoulders and parade him up and down the field.
though he misses leaky when he’s gone, he fills his time learning the piano, playing cards, helping his momma in the kitchen, and reading any book he can get his hands on.

゚・:†┏┛ Backstory ┗┓†:・゚
Abigail Hayden was born in New York City and raised by a father that ran a small mechanic shop and a mother that worked as a secretary. The family wasn’t rich, but they lived comfortably in a small apartment in Queens and Abigail never wanted for anything. She had a sister that was five years older than her named Eveline and the two of them were extremely close, despite the age difference. Abigail looked up to her older sister as her best friend from the moment she could talk. As the two of them grew up, Eveline turned into a bit of a role model for Abigail and she often found herself following in her older sister’s footsteps. Of course, this meant that when she was in 8th grade and her sister was just starting college, Abigail found herself with a brand new interest. Eveline went to a college in the city to study criminology and forensics, and Abigail immediately wanted to know about everything her older sister was learning. Eveline didn’t mind, and she would always bring her textbooks home with her so that she could show them to Abigail. They would spend hours together pouring over the textbooks and Eveline was always willing to answer her sister’s questions. Abigail never really found the legal side of things interesting, but the science aspect of her sister’s studies immediately caught her attention.
For a little while, Abigail’s life was happy. She studied with her sister, she excelled in her classes, she had a group of friends that cared about her, and she even found herself taking part in the science club at her school. But then everything changed one day in March 1998. Abigail was sitting in her last class of the day, waiting excitedly for the day to end so that she could celebrate Eveline’s birthday with their parents in the city, when she was suddenly called down to the office. When she got there, a police officer was waiting to talk to her and she immediately knew that something terrible had happened. The police officer sat her down and told her that her family had been killed in a car accident only a few hours earlier. A drunk driver had run a red light and plowed into their car, killing her mother and sister instantly and sending her father to the hospital where he died pretty soon afterward. She broke down and sobbed in the school office, but she barely had any time to get a grip or even come to terms with what was happening before the police officer was ushering in a CPS worker. The woman was kind and explained to Abigail that she was lucky that there was an emergency foster family ready to take her in for a few nights until they found her a more permanent placement.
Abigail packed up her entire life with tears streaming down her face and then the CPS worker took her to the foster family’s home. She stayed with them for a few nights until a permanent placement opened up and she moved into their home in a neighborhood she was entirely unfamiliar with. She finished the school year drowning in grief and when summer came around things weren’t any better. She distanced herself from her friends, stopped doing the things she enjoyed, and barely put any effort into her schoolwork. By the time freshman year came around, she had lost her friend group and she spent a lot of time alone. It wasn’t until the end of the year that things started to look up. Her science teacher, who had noticed her gift in the subject, stopped her after class and asked her to join the science club. She reluctantly agreed, but grew to realize that she actually enjoyed it. It was at that club that she ended up meeting Peter who had come around to take pictures for the school newspaper. They become friendly acquaintances and eventually much closer friends. When she gets an Oscorp Internship in her junior year, she puts all her energy into that and tries to ignore the romantic feelings she has for her friend that are slowly growing.
