I got my 3DS XL fixed!
You heard that right!
I have an update on this: https://www.tumblr.com/paigelts05/782295709098688512/i-got-it-repaired-cooler-post-to-follow?source=share
I shipped my 3DS XL to this place really far up north, which is the only place in the UK that I was able to find that actively advertises 3DS XL repairs and will pull through when you ask them about the repair.
I booked the repair Wednesday and wrapped up my 3DS XL and the indicator lights to be sent off on Thursday (I had work so my mum and sister had to drop it off at the post office for me), I got the email that it had been repaired and was on its way home yesterday, and so today, I had to work from home to receive the parcel (had to pick it up from the post office anyway because parcelforce didn't bother to try and get down the side street I live on), but it's home and repaired!
I still have the spare parts that I purchased back when I planned to do this repair myself, and if it does break again, I should be well prepared by then to take on the repair myself, but with the new hinge and shell, and with my sister teaching me how she opens and closes her 3DS XL, it shouldn't break now, ever.

I GOT IT REPAIRED!
cooler update post to follow.
https://www.tumblr.com/paigelts05/782295846962249728/i-got-my-3ds-xl-fixed?source=share
Hey, tech side of Tumblr. Does anyone know anything about 3DS XL hinges?
The Right corner of my 3DS XL broke, and when I was trying to line it back up to fix it, I fumbled it, and the hinge corner fell out.

Now, being a dumbass in despair, still grieving my nan's passing and incredibly stressed over my 3DS's breakage, I closed my console, put the hinge back in, and tried to open the console. I jammed the hinge.
I took the hinge corner apart to try and see what actually spun, and I found that I had totalled this little bugger here:

So I went and purchased a new one. That new one looks like it had been whacked out of shape. Mine is marked with gold sharpie, the new one is unmarked.

Even though I don't have any idea what a 3DS XL hinge axel is supposed to look like in an unharmed state, the new one looks wrong.
Also, I have no idea which way is open and which way is closed, which is fun. If someone can help me with identifying if a 3DS XL hinge axel is in the fully open, right angle open, or closed state, I would appreciate that a hell of a lot.
I have built a rig that should assist me with repairs. I can use it to hold my 3DS XL in the fully open position indefinitely. If it'd be better for me to fix it when it's in the one click open state, I am more than able to re-do the required parts of my rig accordingly.

I plan on sealing the casing closed with milliput. If it can keep a small boat afloat, sealing the gap and adding a new layer to the shell can keep my poor 3DS XL from snapping again. And because of how permanent a milliput repair will be, I NEED to get this right.
I will not be replacing the front casing. The idea of taking my poor 3DS XL apart that much scares me, and repair shops near why I live are really not in the question, as when I went looking for a 3DS battery last summer, they all recoiled in pain at the word 'Nintendo'. (Except CEX, but I don't want to ship my 3DS away to get it fixed).
I plan on making what amounts to a hinge axel valve to see if I can un-fuck my hinge, and see what state the new hinge is in, and will update at various stages of my repair accordingly.
If I cannot obtain a hinge that I know will not break, I can and will just put a dowel in (with a new hole for the dowel in the hole slot because of the oval shape of the hinge axel), but I want to do right for my 3DS XL.
List of things I need help with:
If someone can help me with identifying if a 3DS XL hinge axel is in the fully open, right angle open, or closed state, I would appreciate that a hell of a lot.
What position would be best for my 3DS XL to be repaired in? I have a rig made that holds my 3DS XL in an open state, but if it'd be better for me to fix it when it's in the one click open state, I am more than able to re-do the required parts of my rig accordingly.

Broken Family [FNAF, Renegade AU]

Vanessa Diego never got to know her father. He went out to fetch some groceries, and never came back. The only reason why Ness knows that he didn't abandon her was the fact that his body was found in a ditch a week later. Even as an adult, she remembers the funeral as if it was yesterday.
Even as an adult, she didn't find her dad's ghost for years. He had gotten amnesia, and couldn't even remember being human: he knew that he had to have been human once, but he couldn't remember any of it, not even his name, so he could only go by his alias of Phantom BB.
It took a lot of help, and a lot of time in the flipside after Phoenix's Fazbear's Frights fire to help him piece enough fragments of his memory back together, but by then his daughter had already gone through the worst few years of her life, being puppeted by the ghost of William Afton.
So to help his daughter keep William from gaining control back over her during the Raid, he possessed her: that way, she didn't have to push herself as hard to maintain control. It wasn't the reunion he wanted, but it's the one he managed to get.

Maintenance Work [FNAF SB, Renegade AU]

Vanessa Sylvia Blake and Desmond Anadem have a lot in common that they know of, and way more in common that they're not entirely aware of beyond that.
They don't get the chance to speak often, and they rarely take it when they get it, as navigating the maintenance tunnels of the megaplex during major incidents tends to be a two person job that requires constant vigilance, lest another technician or security guard goes missing.

This is my entry for Derin's Vanuaray prompt 17 - Maintenance. I decided to rotate back to Sylvia Blake (the Renegade AU's SB security guard Vanessa), and also include Desmond Anadem (Cassie's dad). I have a fic that I'm working on that shows a bit more of these two dealing with a major incident, but I've not finished with the fic yet, and I've got much grander ideas for the art for that fic.

A gift on the desk [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]

This is for the prompt 'valentine's day' but it's very late. I have been busy, and stressed.
This is a drawing of Luis Cabrera finding the gift that Ness left for him whilst Ness watches to see his reaction. But it also looks like Ness is watching Luis leave a gift for her. It could go both ways to be honest.
Perhaps the scene is as intended: Vanessa Diego left a gift on Luis's desk, and she's watching him pick it up.
Perhaps the scene is not as I intended: Luis Cabrera is leaving a gift on Ness's desk, and she's secretly watching him leave it there.

Ophelia Harper: Nightmare Mangle Operator [FNAF, Renegade AU]

Published: Apr 6, 2025
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/1179997570
I didn't actually have anything for this week. My backlog piece has a massive character backstory that I need to finish up, the next pages of September Snow and Prelude of Ruin are nowhere near done, and I've just not had the energy to get any one of them done.
But I did have the energy to colour my sketch page for Nightmare Mangle's operator, Ophelia Harper.
Ophelia trained to be a trauma surgeon, but she couldn't find any work in her field anywhere, except for at some pharmaceuticals company that seemed to be more of a research lab. She worked along side a few other scientists operating oversized animatronics, and she operated one called 'Nightmare Funtime Foxy', but she called it Nightmare Mangle because it was mangled as fuck.
However, she did get to put her surgery skills to use. After being dragged into a operating theatre to treat a patient named 'David Afton' Ophelia was told that the whole trajectory of the research was about to change.
She received several patients, all with similar injuries: skull crusher by spring Freddy jaw. Some patients were dead on arrival, but others seemed to be barely hanging on. The early 80's saw many of this same patient. Being a trauma surgeon, there was only so much she could do: she wasn't a neurosurgeon! But she was told that someone's else was dealing with the brain stuff. She flip-flopped between operating Nightmare Mangle and dealing with whatever patient was brought in that week, but within a year, the flow of patients slowed down.
It was only when she received a surprise patient, Gerald Taylor, who Camilla helped her patch up, that Ophelia caught on to what was going on, despite being one of the most involved: the brains of the kids were being fixed by shoving their conciseness into that small robot thing that was at the centre of the nightmare animatronic experiments
Ophelia didn't mind or care, as the patients that weren't dead on arrival would always wake up: it just now made sense that it always took an experiment cycle for them to wake up: they had to beat Nathan Douglas and his alter, Nightmare, who operated Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare to fully recover their motor functions. If anything, this was revolutionary medical technology.
What she didn't know about the remnant that was always mixed into the IV bags wouldn't hurt her yet.
She'd continue her work until Bonibelle and the other operators who could leave left. She finally became a trauma surgeon, but something nagged at the back of her mind.
I won't reveal what happened in detail, but many years later, she returned to the labs where she once worked after receiving a note that implied that the blood bags were not all that they seemed.
As she investigated the abandoned facility (though knowing Faz Ent, unmanned and abandoned hardly meant unused), she noticed that she wasn't alone, and the stranger was operating nightmare Mangle: her animatronic.
The next thing Ophelia knew, she was dead. And a ghost. She managed to identify her killer as another Faz Ent scientist: Dr Talbert. Area of study: remnant. Known for killing anyone he deemed a threat to his research.
Whilst Ophelia didn't possess anything, her spectral form heavily resembled Mangle, and she was somehow able to leave the building.
She had to stop Talbert from killing the other operators.
She knew that her fiancé, Dimitri, was still working under Faz Ent, so he was likely to know what the hell the guys deal was, so she'd have to pay him a visit. And if she couldn't get the information out of him in a normal conversation, she'd have to scare it out of him. And if she struggled with that, then she'd just have to conscript the help of those two thorn-in-faz-ents-side journalists.

Exhaustion [FNAF, Renegade AU]

Published: Mar 30, 2025

I've been going through a rough patch recently. My nan died, and then the day after, my 3DS XL broke and it's become apparent that it will need an inner shell replacement, so finding the time to draw had been rough.
I wound up whacking this drawing of my AU's Phone Guy, Krasnyy, out in one night. It was supposed to just be a large thumbnail, pose practice, but it soon became it's own thing as I practiced how his hair and clothes lie over him when he's on the ground. Then I messed up the hand, and when I went to prepare a paint pen to cover it up, paint slushed out so I brushed it across the page, then I continued to fill out the page that way intentionally, and once the pen was working, I was able to get the paint of the pen up close to the lines and cover up most of the mistake, and then i figured I'd colour it in using the colouring pencils that I got back in June/July and see if I can get close enough to that Artists Loft medium brown that I need for the coat. Also the black gloves are back as it hides the hand mistakes and means I can leave what scars he has on his hands to the imagination.
So now I have this experimental piece.

Finding repair shops that are willing to do this in the UK are a pain.
I have found websites for TWO, but both are hours away. I will be near one of them soon for a concert, but still, hours away from home.
So I purchased a new DS Lite. He's a bit dusty and didn't have a GBA cap (probably why he cost £55), but I can at least play most of my collection whilst I find a repair shop. Whilst I do have a pink DS Lite that I've had since I was like, 8, the D pad and hinge (upper screen) is broken, so I can only play games that don't use the D-pad. Red now lets me start to collect GBA games (because all those suckers use the D-pad)!
There is apparently one place in my hometown high-street that may be able to do the repair on the day in person, but they weren't open today.

The hinge valve didn't work as planned. It fits the parts in, but the part turns in the mould before it turns itself.
However I did find that a working hinge's position can be estimated by seeing where the semi-circle on the white bit sits in the right place when the hinge is inserted into the hole in the screen segment.

Also, the foot of this part seems broke.
I have asked the guy that I ordered my new hinge from where the foot goes/is supposed to go as the product I ordered is the hinge and this thing here, and it seems that the foot just holds everything sturdy.
The more I look into it, the more it becomes clear that gluing the casing back together is just delaying the inevitable. Epoxy has been known to crack in a matter of closes, glue - in my own experience - cracks after a while too. So an inner frame replacement was always going to be inevitable.
But I did learn something; taking the parts apart and totalling the hinge was probably the best thing to happen to my 3DS XL. If I was able to glue it without having the corner fall off, I'd simply be back here in one or two years time with the same issue. But finding out the pure extent of the damage will allow it to be repaired.
I will be taking my poor 3DS XL to a professional, as due to the recent death of my nan, I have been too shaky and stressed to perform this repair myself, and whilst my parents do have the dexterity for this repair, I'd rather leave it in the hands of someone who can recover the data if something goes wrong.
So for all of you who have this issue, present or future, try to keep the hinge corner inside the console and glue it as a temporary measure, and just do the inner housing replacement as soon as you're able.
AND DON'T HOLD THE CORNER WHEN YOU OPEN AND CLOSE IT. AND DON'T PUT YOU'RE FINGERS ON THE FRONT YOU'LL STRAIN IT. <- me yelling at myself because this is the dumb shit 13yo me did that caused the strain that caused the breakage a few years ago and earlier this month.
Updates will still come, probably once I've got my poor 3DS XL repaired. Maybe some before if something interesting regarding the repair shops happens.

A new hinge has been ordered from an independent seller who really seems to know what they're talking about, and my hinge valves that I made out of milliput are curing, so I've done all I can for my repair journey today (except repair rig improvements).
If the hinge valves don't work, I can file the hole on the thing I'm making, fill it with fresh epoxy putty, and re-smush the part in and hope for the best.
The part will arrive late next week earliest, so it gives me time to experiment with my poor busted hinge and the pre-busted thing. Also, I'll probably be adding a one click open stage bar to the rig, as the first open state will give me better access to the back of the device for shell repairs. Though I would have to tape my console in to secure it for the repair this way (taping it in will prevent any future pratfalls though so good idea).
I should probably also test if milliput actually adheres to a 3DS XL casing. And what tools would be best for applying the epoxy putty in such a precise manner.

Sammy Emily and Davinia Muras [FNAF, Renegade AU]

Published: Mar 23, 2025
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/1174299961
Whilst Henry Emily and William Afton were the founders of Fazbear Entertainment, they were not alone in the creation of the company. Daniel Discord was their accountant, Carla Mitty was their graphic designer, and they hired Eduardo Muras as both a parts supplier and as a partner for large scale projects.
°*°•🛠️ Sammy Emily 🛠️•°*°
Sammy is one of Henry's children. She remembers having a sister, Charlotte, and and also remembers that her sister went missing, and all of the odd things that her father did in the aftermath. One of these memories was of playing in the storage closet of the diner in front of a camera before getting picked up by her father who was wearing the Spring Freddy suit with the Spring Bonnie head. After her parents separated, she stayed with her mother, and she grew more into herself.
Due to the gravestones in the cemetery, she never looked into her sister's or father's deaths.
It was only after the town had been swept by two major animatronic related incidents in six months - dubbed by the police as TW1 and CL4, the latter of which killed her aunt Jen - that Sammy begun looking into things. She found that in both incidents, the animatronics were targeting a girl named Charlie, who looked like Charlotte if she got to grow up. From the reports, it appeared that Charlie was dead: Sammy felt a tiny piece of hope that she didn't know she had shatter. But as Sammy left the library, she saw Charlie. Charlie seemed to spot her too. They both seemed to recognise eachother, and they awkwardly begun talking to one another. Sammy mentioned her dead sister and her memories of playing in the closet of the diner, and Charlie mentioned how she had grew up believing that her brother had been abducted, describing the scene that the camera in the diner would have picked up.
They both knew that they were each others missing sister. They had both undergone quite the transformation each, but they were still sisters.
Sammy and Charlie's friend groups merged, and things were pretty normal for a while.
After several franchised Freddy's locations starting cropping up, Sammy, Charlie, and co went to investigate in hopes of solving the loose end that was the twins father. One of the restaurants was being run by a lady detective who was using the place as a sting operation to try and catch Fazbear Entertainment off guard and figure out what Faz Ent's plans were and why the people running the franchised locations almost always go missing, and a masked man with unknown motives. Charlie and John worked for the lady detective under fake names whilst Sammy and the rest played the part of patrons alongside several others.
The lady detective's location survived to day seven, but people begun to notice tremors underfoot. The building was evacuated. Just as everyone bar the two owners had been evacuated, the building begun to collapse. The lady detective managed to escape during the collapse, but the masked man remained unaccounted for.
When the building had finished collapsing and burning, the rubble was immediately investigated. As the remains of the office were found, Sammy and Charlie saw their father for the first time in approximately twenty years.
The lady detective begun to have an argument with Henry, and it revealed that not only was Henry alive, but he was nearby and was responsible for starting the fire. When the twins approached to ask Henry why he abandoned them, he told Sammy that he abandoned her because he was trying to bring Charlotte back, and he told Charlie that he abandoned her because he'd caught wind of Charlotte's actual ghost roaming around. Neither sister wanted anything to do with Henry after that. Both sisters promised that if they found Charlotte after this, they'd treat her like a third sister.
With nothing to prove to anybody, she lived for herself, her sisters, and her friends.
Sammy married Davinia, and because finding her own place in the future felt impossible, she tried to understand her past. She felt fortunate to have Davinia there to ground her back in the present.
After the HW1 incident, Sammy started to notice that Davinia would appear increasingly distressed after coming home from work. It also seemed as though the incident that had shattered Silver Parasol had opened up a whole Pandora's box: many ghosts with their own plans re-emerged, and various robots across many companies - most of whom didn't even know until now that they had ties to Fazbear Entertainment - begun to malfunction. Sammy realised that her pops old business partner must be back, and not all of the malfunctions could have been caused by old Will. She begun to dig into it.
Sammy hypothesised that some things were using William's re-emergence as a cover to act out on their own, and the more Sammy investigated, the more apparent it became that this was the case. People at Fazbear Entertainment were manually sending the projects of any contractors haywire.
The chaos sowed by Fazbear Entertainment also seemed to work as a cover to keep people from finding out where William had gone. It was only through her connections that she was able to contact Sylvia Blake of Silver Parasol who confirmed that William had posessed Ness.
As her investigations had put her in danger of Fazbear Entertainment's wrath, the list of people who Sammy could share this information with was small, and consisted of other people that were already neck deep in shit.
As the incidents stacked up, Sammy figured out how to intervene and mitigate most human instigated incidents. This got her scouted by Mike Schmidt - the friend of Charlie's journalist friend - to join his information network. Given that Mike was one of the few people she could safely talk to about Freddy's, and he was linked to most of the people in her existing network anyway, it was a win-win.
One day, Davinia came home from work mumbling to herself about virtual space, yet snapping to lucidity when around Sammy. The next day, Davinia vanished.
Sammy cursed herself for not noticing any signs, but upon closer thought, Sammy realised that Davinia had to have been kidnapped. She used the mumblings about virtual space to guide her investigation into recent incidents and found a series of virtual world projects that were linked to Fazbear Entertainment. Employees had been going missing from companies that had been contracted to work on this virtual world, and Davinia was now another name on that list.
It didn't take Sammy long to find out that Davinia was being held at the mega pizzaplex and that she was being used as a kind of human processor for a VR environment. After suggesting an infiltration, Mike put Sammy in contact with Carl Burke to get her kitted up for the mission. Sammy would be part of the second group to investigate this; the first group had not yet returned from their investigation.
Due to the scarcity of information regarding the VR environment, the first part of the investigation was actually finding a way into the virtual world.
Her way in was a man named Nathan Douglas: he and 'Nightmare' had been the puppet figureheads of Faz Ent's pharmaceuticals operations, which was a front for Faz Ent's illicit experiments, and she found that he had been forced into the virtual world against his will. After arriving at the megaplex and gaining temporary access to some VR admin controls, she freed Nathan. She then called Nightmare in hopes that he was physically close enough to save Nathan. Nightmare picked up, and after Sammy explained that she planned on infiltrating the VR environment and was wondering if he'd be up to join her, he explained everything he knew about the virtual world. He didn't, however, explain that he and Nathan were the same man.
Sammy would rather not remember what happened in the VR environment. It all happened so fast: her memories got suppressed, and false memories got streamed into her head. So many painful memories that she immediately snapped, and as the thing that was at the core of all of these bad memories was right before her, she destroyed it.
She lost herself to the VR environment, becoming Edwin Murray. She didn't loose herself entirely though: enough felt wrong about her body, how people referred to her, and the mismatch between Edwin's memories and the brief glimpses of her real memories that she didn't loose herself entirely.
One day, she happened across a detective lady named Morgan Smith. The name rung a bell. That bell caused other bells to ring. As they spoke, she was able to pull herself back rather and she promised Morgan - who she now knew was Mike Schmidt - that she'd destroy this virtual world, though she didn't use those words.
She was able to find the core of the virtual world - the storyteller tree - and she overloaded it. As Edwin was locked in the core, he'd soon suffocate, and if she didn't eject herself from the character before that, she could wind up dead or comatose. She used that time Edwin had left to carve sigils into the characters arms and paint the walls with warnings written in her character's blood so that if this place was found before the virtual world was destroyed or if the virtual world was recovered, people would know the danger that this place and the mimic posed.
A Faz Ent exec - Burrows - tried to stop her, but by the time he reached the core, Edwin was dead, Sammy had ejected herself from the character and entered developer mode. The door sealed behind the exec. It wasn't the mimic that Burrows saw on those screens as his VR environment avatar suffocated to death: it was Sammy.
With the VR environment crumbling, Sammy was able to take off her headset and power down the VR environment from the outside, and the last place that kept power lead her to Davinia.
When Sammy found Davinia, she found her hooked up to machines, with so many cables protruding from her skin that she looked like an angel. Sammy had to cut most of the cables to free Davinia, and many of them dug in so deep that pulling them out would mean death.
After freeing Davinia, Sammy picked her up and ran. She wound up in a group with the other moles, including the ghost of Alistair who opened the path forwards. They were out by 11:00. Oddly enough, a group of kids had been frontrunning during the last stretch of their escape. There was something abnormal about those kids: they were exfiltrating like any other mole.
Sammy wound up car pooling with Julian to get to the Maid Marion clinic where Davinia was promptly treated.
Davinia was partially paralysed by her ordeal, and given what the damage could have been, Sammy was just happy that her wife survived.
°*°•🖥️ Davinia Muras🖥️•°*°
Davinia is the only child of Eduardo Muras.
Her father worked alongside Henry, William, and the beginning of Fazbear Entertainment. She never understood why her father anglicised his name for the company name when they were already European, as he always told her 'I'll tell you when you're older'. As her mother had passed away shortly after her birth, Davinia spent her childhood surrounded by robots, and she was half raised by the 'learning machine' that her father had very easily put together.
Life was alright. Her and the learning machine would receive the same clothes and toys so that it could learn from Davinia. Due to its penchant for mimicry, Davinia and Eduardo affectionately called it 'Mimi', and its records were stored in cabinet C, box 1.
One day, Eduardo was coming back from the store, and Davinia was playing in the warehouse. The doors were open, and as she went out to greet him, a blue van sped down the road, hitting her father.
The van sped off, and Davinia and Mimi dragged Eduardo into the warehouse. Eduardo had died on impact, but as he was the only one who could comprehend death, Davinia, Mimi, and everyone else in the warehouse only thought that he had broken down, so they tried to put him back together.
For a while, the robots in the warehouse were Davinia's only family.
It was actually William Afton himself, who was visiting to check on the progress of an order after Eduardo stopped responding to all correspondence, who found Eduardo rotting in the medical bay. Given that Eduardo meant nothing to him, and he had already helped Daniel bump off Carla, he didn't want to get implicated in another murder so soon, so he left, pretending that nothing had happened, and he sent a teenage Afton Robotics employee, Charles Ramirez, to deal with it. Davinia only remembers being dragged out of the warehouse kicking and screaming after Charles had partially dismantled Mimi. The next thing she remembered was sitting next to strangers at her father's funeral.
At least they had the decency to bury him under his real name: Eduardo Muras.
The next news that she received of what became of her home was that the animatronics had become hostile towards the crew that was sent in to recover the machines, with one they called 'mimic1' being the most hostile of all.
She knew she'd never see her family again, but she didn't understand why they wouldn't let her stay with them: her dad had been hit by a car, but the rest of her family had been doing their best to fix him! Broken endoskeleton bits and snapped cables could be repaired or replaced! And of course her family would be mad when some guy from a company her dad works with abducted her!
When she grew up, she counted herself lucky that she hadn't just been tossed in a mental hospital. She learned what it looked like from the outside: a feral girl who believed that everyone including herself was a machine, living in a warehouse with the mutilated corpse of her father. At least Charles had had the decency to get the security camera footage of Eduardo getting hit by a car (though it was likely at William's request so he'd be able to prove that he didn't kill this one), which proved that Eduardo was already dead before herself and Mimi attempted repairs.
Davinia begun to study programming and machine learning, in part in hopes of understanding how her father had made Mimi, and in part in hopes of connecting with people who may have known her father.
Davinia wound up meeting several people who had connections to Fazbear Entertainment, and most of them were the children of the original employees, were younger employees with little connection to the original location, or were survivors of various incidents usually they were a mix of the three. She made friends with Sammy, Gabe, Susanna, Jeff, Chip, and many others. When Sammy reunited with her long lost sister, Davinia made friends with all of Charlie's friends too.
When Fazbear Entertainment started to try and rear its head again through franchising, Davinia went with Sammy to a location that was being run by a Lady detective. Whilst Sammy and Charlie found closure in finding out what sort of man their father had become, Davinia found herself no closer to finding out more about her own family, aside from the fact that people at Fazbear's had been trying to find her father using the wrong name.
She simply carried on trying to carve her own path.
Davinia married Sammy, and because trying to make sense of the past was driving her insane, she focused on the future. She felt fortunate to have Sammy there to ground her back in the present.
After the HW1 incident, Davinia noticed something odd in the systems at her workplace. Whilst whatever had caused the HW1 incident was no longer around - hell, the whole team that had been impacted by that incident had long since left, taking the entity from that incident with it - a whole Pandora's box seems to have been opened in it's wake. Whatever happened in regards to Silver Parasol had created a chain reaction, unleashing a slew of ghosts that were once at rest, whilst also sending various projects haywire. One of these projects that went haywire was one of Davinia's: it was a virtual learning machine that seemed eerily similar to Mimi, given that it already knew how to play. It flip-flopped between various personas, and it appeared to be trying to take over the computer that it was on, but it couldn't break its way out of a zip folder if it tried (it did try: it asked Davinia to stick it in a zip file, and it got stuck. Though it was the first file Davinia ever saw that actually moved to a zip file instead of just being copied into one). She found herself talking to this program more and more, and soon, she was 99% certain that this program was what had become of Mimi. Days begun to feel blurry, and she wasn't sure what to make of things. Finding this connection to her past and seeing what had become of the poor thing; she'd have said she was spiraling if she was aware enough at this time to acknowledge her own existence.
Soon, she received word of an ongoing project: she was being added to the team of people working on a virtual world. She wouldn't be abandoning her current project, as the virtual world was made for digital entities like the learning machine to inhabit so it can receive enrichment.
She found herself mumbling about it, Mimi would not stop talking about it, and aside from what precious time she spent with Sammy, the rest of the night and the next morning was a blur.
She doesn't really have any proper memories of what happened next day at work, but she does remember snippets: a damp cloth rag and a syringe, being strapped to a chair, IV drips, something opening a hole in her skull, and cables being jammed into her brain.
After that, everything felt like she was in a dream, weightless in a sea of green and blue. Sometimes she found herself seeing a world from the perspective a bird, high in the air. It was a truly odd dream. And then, the dream crumbled: with multiple intersecting acts of defiance against the 'dream', somebody managed to destroy the 'core' of the dream.
Davinia woke up in a hospital bed with Sammy at her side. Her wife had been terrified that she wouldn't wake up after having all of the cables removed from her brain, but Davinia was now awake, so Sammy could rest easy. Instead of resting, Sammy explained how she had found Davinia, and the sorry state she was in. As Sammy talked about how Davinia had been used as a human processor for Faz Ent's virtual environment, things begun to click into place: she hadn't been dreaming, she had been observing the virtual world. When she asked how long she had been gone for, she was terrified to know that it had been a year, and that whilst Sammy had found her in around a week, she had managed to get herself trapped in the VR environment for the most part of that year.
Fortunately, she didn't have to worry about her stuff as the local paranormal department had been paying the bills, given that Sammy had been working with them as a part of the infiltration mission.
Her whole life had still been upturned though, and she couldn't even walk anymore as the cables that had been jammed into her brain and spine had caused some damage, partially paralysing her. She wouldn't walk again, but she was out of that virtual world now, and could start recovering in whatever ways she could, and start adapting to her new situation.

Daniel Rocha ref sheet [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]

Published: Mar 16, 2025
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/1171656479
The second ref sheet of my AUs FNAF AR emails troupe. I haven't actually started the others yet, and it'll take a while for me to get them done.
Here we have Daniel Rocha, robotics engineer at CK Animatronic maintenance, and the one person not allowed to use power tools until further notice for his own safety.
Warning for blood, and mentions of blood and violence.
Alt text for the sheet
Daniel Rocha D.O.B 1/10/1994 American
[At the side of an image in the top centre of Dan in a black work shirt, in the immediate aftermath of an injury that caused a gash on his neck and face] Dan originally worked at another robotics place, but he quit after an accident with power tools left him injured and unable to use power tools. He then went to Anna and started working for her at CK Animatronic maintenance.
[At the side of an image at the bottom centre showing Dan pondering a large computer chip.] Dan does any work on animatronics that does not require power tools, such as the early stages of installing and the later stages of extracting CPU chips.
[Above a photograph of a young Dan and Tristan with their father] Dan's dad, Oliver Rocha, was a technician at Circus Baby's animatronic rental service, and is actually the "missing" technician one. Dan is also Tristan's twin.
[Around the image of Dan in the top right, showing him in his blue work shirt that appears almost purple through the blood] [Text in right hand side:] He was the "first sacrifice" during the Adelaide Incident. After Raha and Mark saved Anna, Mark un-shackled Dan. [Arrow pointing to Dan at the top left of this image:] Had to use his own torn out rib as a weapon. [Arrow pointing to Dan at the lower left of this image:] survived getting vivicected (Adelaide didn't get very far).

Shadow of the Princess [FNAF, Renegade AU]

══°•°🌹°•°🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘°•°🌹 °•°══
Despite being a mere shadow of her former self, the Princess does what she can to try and claw back her freedom. Even if it means sinking into the shadows.
══°•°🌹°•°🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘°•°🌹 °•°══
Derin's Vanuaray day 13 prompt, Princess, has given me an opportunity to draw Ness's spirit/PQ form. For the background, I drew the last puzzle room that uses the shadow princess mechanic in PQ2. It didn't turn out as well as I expected, but it was a learning experience.
This also gives me the opportunity to expand the lore behind ghost forms with Ness's ghost form.
Ness's ghost form is the Princess. As the first game was initially made as a metaphor for how she wound up as William's vessel before the next two games were made as a means to free Ness, it makes sense that both Ness and the ghost kid Cassidy would both have their ghost forms resemble the princes from the game, at least somewhat.
How shadowy Ness's ghost form looks depends almost entirely on how much control she has over her body. If William is directly puppeting her, she's a translucent shadow. If she has some control, she's a purple, shadowy form of her normal self. In those precious moments of full control, her spirit form is golden.

Sword of Light [FNAF, Renegade AU]

Published: Mar 2, 2025

══°•°🌹°•°🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘°•°🌹 °•°══
As long as the moonlight shines blue through the stained glass, the knight can pretend that she is fighting in the daylight.
══°•°🌹°•°🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘°•°🌹 °•°══
Derin's Vanuaray event's day 12 prompt 'Knight' has given me an excuse to draw Vanessa Sylvia Blake's spirit/Princess Quest form: Sword of Light. Though I do not forgive myself for referencing the wrong hand when doing the hands. I managed to salvage it, but still.
I've dropped several hints across quite a few fics that whenever Sylvia experiences 'hallucinations', that she's actually seeing the spirit forms of everything and everyone, including any location constructs that ghosts have made around the area or around certain people. This means that sometimes she sees the Princess Quest construct, sometimes she sees a campsite in the middle of the woods, and sometimes she sees old Freddy's locations: it depends on who is around. It's usually a good tell of what ghost's territory she's in, as the constructs will temporary merge accordingly.
The Princess Quest construct was created by Cassey and Cassidy when Silver Parasol was developing Princess Quest, and it shaped the ghost forms of the four living developers, and it also altered Cassidy's ghost form.
Because the Princess Quest construct follows Cassey, Sylvia, Ness, and Jeremy B, anyone who can see the ghost forms of people and ghost constructs can see them as their PQ forms and may even see the castle construct around them (like what happened to Luis during that hike).

Anna Kwemto ref sheet [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]

Published: Feb 23, 2025
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/1163048777
I have been meaning to share more information about the FNAF AR email troupe for a while now, and whilst the long character stories attached to portrait artwork does get the point across, it's long. So I have decided that a ref sheet like this works for getting across as much of the character story as possible in a reasonable amount of space.
Here we have Anna Kwemto, co-founder of CK Animatronic maintenance.
Alt text for the sheet:
Anna Kwemto D.o.b 5/11/1993 Norwegian - American
[At the side of the framed photograph top centre showing Anna in a white dress and Dan in a white suit.] Anna and Dan are married. They each kept their surnames.
[Around the image top right showing Anna, bloodied and bruised, in a cream and gold dress.] Above, arrow pointing to the bloody pinpricks on her cheeks: Where the mask was ripped off her face left gashes that became scars.
Left side, arrow pointing to bloodied arm: Mark broke her arm when saving her.
Right side: She was the "prospective vessel" during the Adelaide incident. Raha and Mark saved her, and they were able to save Dan and Steve through teamwork.
[Around an image in the centre of the screen showing Anna as a child, hugging Nightmare Bonnie.] Above to the left, arrow pointing at Nightmare Bonnie: Mamma's RC Bunny. It's off so not a threat.
On the right: Anna's mother was a Faz Ent scientist so she's not scared of robots. Even the "nightmares".
Below, arrow pointing to Anna: child Anna.
[Text next to the above image, but not close enough to any image to be associated with a particular one] Her mother's warnings about strangers and not to follow them took too well though. (Anna has anxiety)
[Around an image bottom right showing Anna at a computer. She is sending Dan an email, and the entire contents of the email is "No" in large font. She is saying "please don't try to use the power tools! You still get the shakes! I'll help train you later but I won't let you risk hurting yourself like that! Ok?"] She seems cold and blunt over emails but is really nice in person.
[Around an image at the bottom left showing Anna holding a 'Worlds best boss' mug] Runs CK Animatronic maintenance alongside Luis. Would fight tooth and nail for her co-workers (+she has). Takes her co-workers kit on day trips during working hours on slow days.

[GORE] The video game [FNAF HW, Renegade AU]

Published: Feb 16, 2025
https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/1160277547
As I usually do with month long prompt events, I picked eight of the prompts to complete over a span of time that goes far over the actual event's timeframe. My first pick for Derin's Vanuary event (an event on Tumblr dedicated to FNAF's Vanny and Vanessa) is Video Game.
My brain instantly turned to Help Wanted 1 and Silver Parasol.
=°•.🌹.•°=
Four game developers against the ghost of a man who spent his life seeking immortality only to find a path of bloody death.
Whilst William Afton managed to persist as a ghost after the destruction of his physical form, Scraptrap, one cannot consider themselves among the living without a body, and William aimed to use the developers bodies to bring himself back to the world of the living.
But the four game developers did fight back. One by one, he tried to take over their minds, and one by one they fought back as they ripped back control and tried to flush him from the program he possessed. But each wound up losing a part of themselves in each of their fights against William.
The first lost his face, the second lost her mind, the third lost her eye, and the fourth lost herself.
All because of the development of a video game.
A video game that was a part of a cover up operation to hide the crimes of Fazbear Entertainment's founder, William Afton.
A gig the developers only took in order to get the inside scoop and make the game reveal the truth instead of hide it, and they wound up uncovering a plot to allow William to possess anyone anywhere in the process.
Whilst the developers had been able to flush William from the game, preventing him from using the game as a possession vector, the fourth developer - Ness - had lost her fight against William, and he had taken up residence in her mind, making victory feel hollow.
