I love how sweet and boyish Hakuba looked when he was overwhelmed with relief and joy when his old lady butler was alright. Even his frustration and embarrassment at being fooled by Kid was cute.

Anatomy of a Scoliosis Pattern — a Real Life Story
Client in today had a hip and low back problem that showed up when running up uneven stairs. This is probably not a new problem as she has a Scoliosis pattern. (Many people do who’ve never been ‘diagnosed’.)
Her right hip has been painful and tight; her right pelvis is ‘hiked’; her right lumbar is ‘flat’; the right QL is short.
When prone, turning bent legs left against resistance is weak at T/L junction and L5/S1 junction. Since the body is 3-dimensional this means her lumbar likes to turn left at T12/L1 AND L5/S1.
But on the left side of the lumbar, the TOP of the QL at T12/L1 is thick and tight. Scoliosis often has this pattern. Side bending using QL on the Left side she is strong at T12/L1 and weak at the insertion of QL onto the Iliac crest. So, TOP of the QL on the left is Strong for Side Bending and Weak for Rotation. On the right the insertion of QL on the Ilium is VERY tight and strong and inhibiting the lateral hip stabilization of Glut Med/Min. BOTH Erector Spinae up and down the spine are weak. The right hip therefore is ‘gripped’, externally rotated to brace for the weak back and Glut muscles. The right Iliacus is very tight also creating the perfect picture for compression of the hip joint: External Rotators co-contracted with Iliacus. This co-contraction flattens the lumbar spine. Erector Spinae is not functional/active/responsive and the Psoas on the right side is not supporting the upper end of the lumbar lordosis from the front. It tests weak.
The right rib cage is narrower than the left at the bottom. When my client inhales using the diaphragm, the right side does not expand as well as the left. This too, is a common pattern of some cases of Scoliosis. Are you confused? How does all this fit together? What can be done about it?
I’m just glad that NMR does not try to understand the whole pattern at once... These compensations were built on top of one another over many years of coping. You would never know this client has Scoliosis if you saw her in line in front of you. NMR tackles the most strategic imbalances first. The T/L junction is #1. Remaining functions of the ‘waist’ are next; then the way in which the pelvis deviated to accommodate the shorter muscles.
When I look at these ‘types’ of Scoliosis there is no way to understand from a 2-dimensional drawing the dynamics of what is going on in Scoliosis patterns. The ’shape’ of things is less important than What’s working vs. What’s not working.
These muscle patterns can be re-programmed. If you are curious, consider studying NMR. We’ll be doing an Advanced NMR for Scoliosis class in Dallas the first weekend in August.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
#yeehaw#1k#5k#10k#posts that got cursed. blasted. im making these tag updates after... 19 hours?#also i have been told it should say speech loss bc nonverbal specifically refers to the permanent state. did not know that!#unfortunately i fear it is so far past containment that even if i edited it now it would do very little. but noted for future reference#edit 2: nvm enough ppl have come to rb it from me directly that i changed the wording a bit. hopefully this makes sense#also. in case anyone is curious. though i doubt anyone who is commenting these things will check the original tags#1) my friend did not do this on purpose in any way. it was not intended to distract me or to hit on me. im a lesbian hes a gay man. cmon now#he felt very bad about it afterwards. i thought it was hilarious but it was very embarrassed and apologetic#2) “why didn't he use 🫵🏼?” didn't exist yet. “why didn't he use 🆗?” dunno! we'd been using a lot of hand emojis. 👌🏼 is an ok sign#like it makes sense. it was just a silly mixup. also No i did not invent 👉🏼👌🏼 as a gesture meaning sex. do you live under a rock#3) nonspeaking episodes are a recurring thing in my life and have been since i was born. this is not a quirky one-time thing#it is a pervasive issue that is very frustrating to both myself and the people i am trying to communicate with. in which trying to speak is#extremely distressing and causes very genuine anguish. this post is not me making light of it it's just a funny thing that happened once#it's no different than if i post about a funny thing that happened in conjunction w a physical disability. it's just me talking abt my life#i don't mind character tags tho. those can be entertaining. i don't know what any of you are talking about#Except the ppl who have said this is pego/ryu or wang/xian. those people i understand and respect#if you use it as a writing prompt that's fine but send it to me. i want to see it#aaaand i think that's it. everyday im tempted to turn off rbs on it. it hasn't even been a week

Case Notes for Touching Feels Like. . .
As a good detective once said, the notes you take will help solve the case. Or maybe he didn't say that. Oh well, I did a handful of searches and learning a lot about medieval apothecary and magic potions for the Touching Feels Like. . . story. So it's only fair to share my research.
Rosmarinus Officinalis (aka Rosemary):
This flower is associated with the Virgin Mary due to the blue and white colours of the petals. It was soon dubbed the "Rose of Mary".[1]
It was even considered a love charm to some. To those people, they would wear it during weddings by the bride. There is even beliefs that leaving rosemary on your doorstep (or planting it there) will make a protective barrier against malevolent forces.[2]
Language of flowers: Rosemary speaks in remembrance, love, and loyalty.[2]

Beeswax & Honey
Way back during medieval times, honey and beeswax were believed to have healing properties. Honey was used as a natural antibiotic. [3]
Beeswax can be used to make so many things. It was cheaper than sugar so many used it to put it in teas or recipes to make them sweeter.[4]
[site 3 | site 4]
Gastropoda
More known as the class of mollusks. These include snails, slugs, whelks and those kind of mollusks. According a recipe way back from the ninth century, snails were used to heal cut tendons. [5]
The excretion of a snail could even help with burns. [6]. Research shows that snail slime contains antioxidants, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, etc. etc. Weird, but if science backs it up, it might be worth it.

Hello there! You've been visited by the random question fairy! ~ ☆
Who is on your character's metaphorical (or literal!) 'block' list? Who irritates your character just by existing? Who do they despise unconditionally? Why does your character feel this way?
I have an extensive block list, and an even longer list of people who irritate me. Malik is definitely on that list... as is Koya's brother. Not like that stops him. Constantly asking us to spy on his brother for him gets old pretty fast, and I probably don't need to elaborate on why I have a certain Southern asshole blocked...
As for despising unconditionally, I'd say the only person with the honor(?) of a place there is Damienne Noire. Multiple murder attempts will do that to you... also he's French. Need I say more?

thinking about how much better kaito would be if he was allowed to be a total loser. like in canon he has one friend and doesn't pay attention in class ever and engages in attention seeking behavior but gosho never fully *commits* to it. kaito doesn't talk to people really and disrupts class constantly but he's popular. he doesn't pay attention and again actively disrupts class but it's okay because he's smart enough to not need to. idk i just think his character would be so much more engaging if he was this yusuke urameshi-esque lone wolf delinquent. one who everyone looks on with pity because his only friend (in their eyes) is the sweet and smart popular girl who only hangs out with him out of pity. but then through circumstance he discovers his fathers work and comes into his own as a person and discovers a purpose and love for life again after the death of his dad. let him fail more often, let him make actual, considerable mistakes. let him be a total loser

For all the NMR noodles on here, here's a client case study to read slowly and follow the logic of the body:
Presenting problem: Pain and dysfunction in right shoulder and arm. A client who’s been dealing with a problem with his right arm, his ‘picking’ arm for his mandolin, presented yesterday with ‘my right back went out; it does so about twice a year.’ It palpated VERY tight.
His left QL tested strong and his Right tested weak for side bending. Because it is tight however, his right QL is inhibiting his right Glut Min/Med. Any muscle that is tight will be inhibiting other muscles even though it is weak to start with.
Passive ROM assessment reveals that Rt Iliacus is tight and inhibiting Rt E.S, Left QL Rot’n (at T/L junction)
Because of the inhibition of the Left Erector Spinae (ES), the left Quadratus Femoris (QF) has gripped to narrow the hip to brace for stability in the upper body. This is a common compensation for weak back extensors. Left QF/Gemellis inhibits Lt Vastus Medialis, Piriformis, and Gl Max
The pain in shoulders and arms that we were dealing with in our first session was gone. The arm was still a little number/tingling in ring and little finger. His ‘plucking’ speed was still impaired.
Something to consider: His contralateral underlying coordination coherence was off. His right diaphragm was less vigorous on the inhale indicating a tendency to spiral right with every breath.
A passive leg traction assessment reveal the right side ‘Springy’ and left side ‘Listless’.
Left Pectineus --> Iliacus: external Rot’n. Left Iliacus --> Lt Gl Max; Ext Oblique; Lt Psoas Corrections gave left side ‘spring’.
Clean up: Left QL/SIJ --> Lt Add Magnus Left QF --> Vast. Med Left Erector Spinae --> Glut Max; Rt Ant serr, Lats, Neck ext’n.
Et Voilå! Any one who's been through Mod 1 has the chops to do this session.
