Started this a lil before I got sick with food poisoning a day ago and have been apartment-bound with a disgusting amount of free time and nothing to do with it, so here we go! About 3ish days worth of doing nothing but art.

Isa was quite pasty back in those Farm days! Sun was a luxury back then.

Sidestep Era Isa

Awe, wasn’t she so cute and sunny?! I imagine her Sidestep days were when they began questioning their gender identity, the liked the androgyny that their features paired with short hair gave them. But, well, she hasn’t started thinking of themself as she/they at this point— their growth got kind of cut off by life events…

Remember how happy and mostly untraumatized Isa looked in the previous photo? Poof! Happiness snatched! :D very happy with how this one turned out ngl, those hands were hell to draw but I’m proud of them. It was also a mini composition/placement hell for them.

Rat King!! My beloved!! I’m actually not sure if I’m happy with how this one turned out, as I was burning out when I started it’s background, but I’m satisfied with what I did manage to pull out. Originally had a red moon to reference the Achievement but decided it was too much

Finally, the luxurious, dangerous Hollow Ground! Her morays were so much fun to draw, truly darling little noodles. I considered making her more red velvet-themed to emphasize the mob and luxury feel to the character, but all I could think about was the gold shining in my mind of her piercings and how lovely that would be beside a pair of golden morays.

Snippet from a writing WIP

grout and putty

Synopsis: desperation drives cerrísa to visit finch after healing. even if it means ortega might find out.

"A lot can change in a few months. A few months is generous," she says, because she doesn't know what else she is supposed to. "It only takes a single moment for a heart to be shattered." She doesn't mean to say that part, but it slips out anyways. Through the cracks. Cracks still cracking. Leaking. Pouring open.

seven gates stand open. two more stand, leaking, as if about to burst.

Isa sucks in a breath, taking a moment to cover her face, press her palms into her eyes. She can feel Dr. Finch's increasing concern like a needle piercing the soft flesh of her inner elbow. Concern for the wrong reason. She's not crying. Not yet. Just gluing the pieces back together. It wouldn't do to fall apart in this office again. She'd hate to have to wipe Finch's memory for real this time, instead of picking and choosing fragments of time that are comfortable for her to keep.

Digestible, swallowable pieces that don't endanger either of them. That's what she needs to do. What she needs to feed her right now.

As for a non-writing WIP, have an old WIP this tag game has inspired me to pick up again! (Ft. sidestep era Cheshire menacing reporters with unusable audio)
